Our card this week is Dashaun “Dae Dae” Lawson, the King of Hearts from Connecticut.Dashaun “Dae Dae” Lawson was 26-years-old when he was fatally shot outside his mother's apartment in the Hockanum Park apartment complex in East Hartford, Connecticut. Dae Dae was killed  just a few days before Christmas in 2017 and  left behind three children, all under the age of five. West Side hip-hop group Pivot Gang will take the stage at Millennium Park on Sept. 20 as the group headlines Vocalo's Summer Finale, a concert celebrating Chicago's music scene and the final days of summer. For many of the members, this will be their first time performing at the Pritzker Pavilion, and they plan to debut some new songs during the set. On Sept. 20, the group, composed of Saba, Joseph Chilliams, MFnMelo, Frsh Waters and Dae Dae, will also be celebrating the birthday of band member Squeak, who was tragically killed in 2021. West Side hip-hop collective Pivot Gang (AKA Saba, Joseph Chilliams, MFnMelo, Frsh Waters and Dae Dae) stopped by Lollapalooza on August 2 to present young artists on the T.I.P. Fest pop-up stage, hosted by John Walt Foundation. The four featured artists — Nae Chic, Jonathan, Queen and Zia Jenaye — were awarded the opportunity during the nonprofit's annual T.I.P. (Teens in the Park) Fest, a city-wide showcase of local artists, musicians and poets between the ages of 14 and 24. Pivot Gang met with Vocalo's Nudia Hernandez shortly after the pop-up set to discuss the importance of providing opportunities for young Chicago artists and musicians. They also delved into writing songs inspired by ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender' and new music in the works — some of which they plan to play at Vocalo's Summer Finale in Millennium Park next month. This episode started off literally on FIRE….We finally got to see the dragons in some real action, and it was with the baddest Mofo in Westeros, Caraxes. The episode starts off 3 years later and alot has taken place. Dae Dae and the Seas Snake in a war with the Crab Feeder, Rhae Rhae mad AF, King Viserys done lost fingers but picked up two more kids with his now wife Alicent. Ca$h Out is an emcee born in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Atlanta, which he represents to the fullest. Since stepping foot in the game in 2011 and being discovered / signed by Epic Records label head L.A. Reid, he's released three mixtapes (It's My Time, Keisha and Ya Feel Me), having collaborated with the likes of Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Wale, Roscoe Dash, Akon, Yo Gotti, Future and more. His debut single, 2012's "Cashin' Out", has been remixed by Krayzie Bone, Da Brat, Bow Wow, C-Command, Chief Keef and many more. The last we heard of him was the January 2013 single "Mexico", produced by DJ Montay.
