In this episode of TechBurst Talks, we're taking on the challenge of demystifying AI and breaking down the overwhelming flood of buzzwords. You've heard them before—AI, ML, DL, LLM, SLM, RAG, ChatGPT, Custom GPT, NLP—the list goes on. Our goal is to make these terms accessible and easy to understand, no matter your background. I'm thrilled to be joined by Bernard Leong, who is the Host of the Analyse Asia podcast, the founder of Dorje.ai, and an expert in the field of Artifical Intelligence. What makes this episode special is that Bernard and I approach learning differently. Bernard is a theoretical learner, able to grasp complex concepts with ease. On the other hand, I'm more of a kinesthetic learner—I need to see how these terms apply in the real world, rather than just understanding the theory. Together, we'll cover the essential AI buzzwords and trends, with something for everyone. Whether you're on the cutting edge of AI or just trying to get a handle on the jargon, this episode will bring clarity to the chaos. 01:00 Welcome and Introduction to AI 01:26 Bernard Leon's Background and Expertise 04:30 Understanding Artificial Intelligence 05:10 Big Data vs. Artificial Intelligence 06:29 Machine Learning and Deep Learning Explained 10:23 Generative AI: The Game Changer 17:30 Real-World Applications of AI 21:56 AI in Everyday Life and Business 31:14 The Evolution of Wind Turbine Maintenance 32:50 ChatGPT Revolutionizes Data Cleaning 34:21 Ethical Considerations in AI 37:09 Federated Learning and Privacy 38:47 AI's Impact on Jobs and Productivity 44:49 Future Trends in AI 49:48 Challenges in AI Adoption 51:57 Introducing Dorje.ai 55:24 Final Thoughts and Advice on AI

In episode 83 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield are joined by special guest, Dorje Kirsten, Astrologer at Heart Astrology, and take on the highly publicized couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. After discovering his fantastic article on the synastry of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, published on www.astro.com, we asked Dorje to join us in exploring and discussing the charts of this high profile couple for the podcast! To start off, we look at Jennifer Lopez's chart and see a self-expressing Queen with a Leo Sun who's larger than life persona is explained by a sextile from Jupiter. We also see her warrior-like prowess from a forceful Mars trine. She does have some Earth to ground her - we see a heavy sense of responsibility and duty towards her body, beauty, and finances thanks to her sturdy Saturn in Taurus. Next, we investigate Ben's chart and immediately find a tough and defensive exterior, with a soft and tender inside, thanks to his Cancer rising conjunct Venus and trine a Scorpio Moon. This is a protective family man who needs a place to retreat and feel nurtured. We also see a fiery Sun (also in Leo)/Jupiter trine showing us another side to him that needs to be the King-in-charge. If he can channel his Mars/Neptune square into his creative directing style, he can certainly be that. Together, there is a lot of complexity when it comes to their synastry! Multiple karmic points such as Saturn/Moon & Venus contacts and a North Node/Midheaven conjunction tells us this relationship is fated and comes with important lessons. However, with no passion from Venus/Mars aspects and double Sun/Moon squares, there is a harsh conflict between their self-expression styles and needs for emotional fulfillment. This is a MUST listen episode, you don't want to miss the expertise Dorje has to share! Find out what we collectively have to say on whether this King & Queen's marriage can last or if they will part ways. What Venus score would you give them? Saka dawa is winding to an end. The sacred Tibetan Buddhist month of celebration and prayer surrounding the enlightenment of Buddha was led in part by 17-year-old Jalue Dorje from Columbia Heights, Minn. That's because when Dorje was a young child, the Dalai Lama confirmed that he is a reincarnation of a lama, or holy leader, from Tibet. That means he is destined to be a Buddhist monk and leader of peace. He's been studying to become a monk ever since. When he graduates from Columbia Heights High School in 2025, he plans to move to the Himalayas to continue his studies. For now, though, outside of Dorje's daily studies and prayers, he's an avid sports fan and sees participating in and watching sports as a way to practice his faith.
In this weeks episode, I had a conversation with Tsering Dorje. Tsering studied Buddhism in both monastic and academic settings for the past twenty years. He translates ancient Hatha and Vajrayana texts. His focus is on the body-oriented yogas in Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. Tsering has a Newsletter on substack where he posts his translations. Below is the link to his substack if you'd like to find out more.https://tsering.substack.comI have a few new openings for those of you interested in learning about and practicing the embodied arts of Somatics, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation.
Why are vajra, mala and bell called “practice supports” and what do they actually represent? Why is a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner expected to always carry a vajra, mala and bell, at least symbolically? How can they be used in our daily, mundane lives to symbolically strengthen this bond? What are the guidelines for the use of a vajra, mala and bell?In this presentation, we try to answer these questions, and more, in our special coverage of the indispensable vajra, mala and bell. All three, together, represent, the most important veneration objects of Refuge in Buddhism: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Together represent the Sacred Body, Speech and Mind of the Enlightened Buddha. Importantly, they also represent Method, Dharma, and Wisdom. The vajra and bell are virtually synonymous with advanced Vajra yana tantric practice — together with the ubiquitous mala. Advanced practitioners also always have a one-handed Dhamaru drum representing blissful activity and wisdom.A Tibetan practitioner is rarely separated from these powerful meditational and ritual symbols, just as the vajra, mala and bell should never be separated from each other. In Tibetan, the sanskrit term Vajra translates as Dorje. The Bell, in Sanskrit is called a Ghanta. Even non-Buddhists might recognize the symbolism of vajra and bell immediately, among the most widely recognized symbols used in Buddhism.Literally, each time we meditate with the vajra, mala and bell, we are engaging with a symbolic compendium of teachings of the Buddha: the Body, Speech and Mind of Buddha. We think of them in that order: Body, Speech and Mind of Buddha, or Compassion, Dharma and Wisdom, or Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.Support the show
A reading for meditation of sections of Garab Dorje's teaching, "The Clear Meaning Tantra" - translated by Yeshe Donden (Roger Calverley). Originally written down in Sanskrit by Garab Dorje, this work was transmitted to Manjushrimitra, from whom it passed to Sri Simha, who in turn transmitted it to Padmasambhava. He brought the tantra to Tibet and hid it at some point in the mid to late 700's AD. Centuries later, Guru Chowang (1212 – 1270) found the book and published it, which made possible its preservation in the collection known as the Hundred Thousand Tantras of the Ancients (Nyingma Gyubum).
This is a guided meditation based on the practice principles of Garab Dorje's famous three statements: 1. Recognise your own Awareness 2. Choose the State of Presence 3. Continue with Confidence in Liberation

In this episoed, I chat with Dorje de Burgh about his exhibition 'Under the Same Sky', currently on show at STAC.. Following the artist's move to Carrick-on-Suir in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic due to his high-risk status, Under the Same Sky is a photographic documentation of the town and its surrounds. Representing an outsiders view, this work reflects the particular atmosphere of unease and alienation of that time, as well as being an observation on community, home and belonging. Dorje also strives to subvert familiar representations of the Irish landscape, and in doing so reflect the tensions inherent in both the urban-rural space and the artist's own conflicting positions around closeness and distance.Dorje de Burgh lives and works between Killarney, Dublin & Berlin. Following nomination as a member of the FUTURES European mentorship program, Dorje received the Arts Council of Ireland Next Generation award 2020 and The Darkroom moving image residency 2020/21, producing his second solo exhibition How To Kill Something That Doesn't Exist in association with PhotoIreland Festival 2021.Dorje de Burgh WebsiteFind Dorje on Instagram @dum_studioGet in touch with the podcast: southtippartspodcast@gmail.comLearn more by visiting our website: www.southtippartscentre.ie

A reading for meditation of Garab Dorje's primary teaching, "The Spaciousness of Vajrasattva" (Dorje Sempa Namkha Che) - translated by Yeshe Donden (Roger Calverley). With thanks to Roger for permission to read from this newly published work: "The Gospel of Garab Dorje." Garab Dorje (c. 665) was the first human to receive the complete direct transmission teachings of Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen from Vajrasattva. Garab Dorje then became the teacher of Dzogchen ("Great Perfection", also called Ati Yoga) teachings according to Tibetan Buddhist and Nyingma school traditions. According to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, Garab Dorje transmitted the complete empowerments of Dzogchen to Manjushrimitra, who was regarded as his chief disciple. Padmasambhava is also known to have received the transmission of the Dzogchen tantras directly from Garab Dorje.
His Holiness, the sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje (August 14, 1924 – November 5, 1981) was the spiritual leader of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and part of the oldest line of reincarnate lamas in Vajrayana Buddhism known as the Karmapas whose coming was predicted by the Buddha in the Samadhiraja Sutra. The 16th Karmapa was considered to be a "living Buddha" and was deeply involved in the transmission of the Vajrayana Buddhism to Europe and North America following the Chinese invasion of Tibet. He had many monikers, including “King of the Yogis”.

This episode features the unbelievable true life story of Jaymee's friend and Dharma brother Dorje Tsewang, who at the age of 21 escaped the Chinese occupation of his homeland Tibet on foot in an arduous journey through the Himalayan Mountains. Dorje, a Tibetan Buddhist in a group of 12 faced sub zero weather conditions with no shelter, empty pockets and very little food, warmed only by a burning notion of a better life existing elsewhere. After 30 days and narrowly escaping death on multiple occasions, Dorje reached the safety of Nepal and spent the next 5 years in a Tibetan Refugee camp, where he would eventually meet his wife Dolkar (an exceptional chef). Dorje shares the auspicious miracles that landed the couple as permanent residents of Ojai, CA 20 years ago, and the causes and conditions that led to opening Mandala Restaurant, a sanctuary of the Ojai Valley. Chalked full of wisdom, laughter, Buddhist concepts and practical advice for finding true happiness, Jaymee and Dorje's share simple life adjustments that can lead to awakening unconditional love for all beings. Plus, Dorje reads a poem out loud by artist/creator Sister Cody (@sistercody) that Dorje considers to be "true dharma". *Opening music "The Chase Begins" by composed and performed by Jaymee Carpenter. A scholarly yet accessible biography of the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje, one of the great historical figures of Tibetan Buddhism. Known for his mastery of teachings across sectarian lines, his treatises on medicine and astrology, and his work as spiritual advisor to the last Yuan emperor of China, Rangjung Dorje (1284-1339) is considered one of the most important and influential figures in Tibetan Buddhist history. First recognized as a tulku, or reincarnated Buddhist master, at the age of five, Rangjung Dorje became the Karma Kagyu lineage holder and instituted the reincarnation-based inheritance structure within Tibetan Buddhism that led to the formation of important lineages of tulkus such as the Dalai Lamas. In The Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje: Master of Mahamudra (Shambala, 2020), Ruth Gamble synthesizes her extensive research on Rangjung Dorje into a sweeping biography covering his life, legacy, and important selected writings. Included in her discussions are Rangjung Dorje's synthesis of Dzogchen and Mahāmudrā in his writings, his devotion to spreading the teachings of Buddha nature, and several works never before translated into English. As the most comprehensive work available on Rangjung Dorje, this book is an indispensable resource for scholars and Buddhist practitioners alike. Cuilan Liu is Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Her work on Buddhism, Law, China, Tibet, and documentary filmmaking can be found here. Dorje Dolma is a visual artist, an inspirational speaker, and the author of Yak Girl: Growing Up in the Remote Dolpo Region of Nepal. She has been touring the world with her uplifting story and artwork and has given over hundred presentations for all ages in Europe, Nepal, Canada and the United States. She speaks about the centuries-old way of life in her isolated homeland, how it's being changed by the slow trickle of modernity now reaching it, and the most effective ways for first world citizens to help those in the third world. Her mission is to inspire others through writing, art and speaking to help spread kindness to others and the need for medical and educational resources in remote parts of the world, such as Dolpo. Dorje was born in Dolpo, Nepal, one of the most inaccessible places on earth, 4,000 meters high in the Himalayas. She was the oldest of eleven children, only six of whom survived the harsh conditions of their lives. She began herding the family's goats and sheep at age five and by seven she was defending them from attacks by wolves and snow leopards. At ten, Dorje's parents took her on a month-long trek to Kathmandu to find help for a serious health condition. There they encountered Westerners who arranged to bring Dorje to the United States and get her the surgery she needed to save her life. She eventually graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Fine Arts. She is the first female writer from Dolpo.
