Erin Keam's Conversations about Closets with my Closest 1000 friends.
As a Yoga Teacher, Yoga therapist and Reiki Practitioner She uses meditation, directive therapy, positive mindset shifting, rituals of self love and connection to bring people into connection with themselves. She believes that we all deserve to live their best life and that we have the power and ability to create it. Jen is passionate about a life where we lift each other up. She works with the unconscious self to release, integrate and accept the uncharted parts of you. The parts of you that may be uncomfortable, hidden and possibly dynamically getting you into trouble. I assist people in being able to notice these parts of themselves, shifting their messages about these parts and being kind to ourselves in the process of this shift. Jen believes in the idea that we are all whole and perfect the way we are and we are able to shift into more beautiful beings when the will is there to do so. Jen works with childhood trauma as a way to shift the consciousness of as many people as possible. If even a few of our next generation can come into this world living more consciously then Jen knows that she has made a difference. Is veganism anti-Indigenous? And if not, why do so many people believe it is? Let's discuss! Indigenous vegan and anti-oppression advocate Jen Bell Rivera joins Alisha to dispel this myth and clarify its origins in white veganism - the whitewashing of mainstream veganism that leads to BIPOC erasure within the movement. The Meaning of Home Years before ever getting married, having babies and being a full time homemaker, I *knew* that was all I wanted to do. Skip college; stay-at-home-mom-life full speed ahead! It was a life-long dream, my heart's desire... a longing. A few years ago I stumbled upon the book, "Keeping Place: Reflections on the Meaning of Home," by Jen Pollock Michel. After God's Word, I return to her book over and over when my mindset towards home feels "off." Join me and listen in to today's conversation as we talk about: Where your longing for home comes from... What it is that creates dissatisfaction with the modern "husband who works long hours and the isolated-at-home life..." What home life used to be, generations ago... How modern time saving devices actually drain a housewife's satisfaction, rather than adding to it... Learn what is the most satisfying and creative about household tasks... The best place to find and create social connection... and more... We continue our exploration of the Self Esteem Gospel with guest Jen Oshman about the message "You Were Made For More." Throughout this episode, Jen reminds us that we are made for more, but that "more" is found in Christ, and not in ourselves or our efforts. Many high school students dream about playing sports on the college level. However, entering the application and recruitment process with low grades and test scores can be a nightmare for even the most talented athletes. Amy and Mike invited educational consultant Jennifer Henson to explain requirements for test scores and the NCAA Clearinghouse. What are five things you will learn in this episode? What is the NCAA eligibility center, and why does it matter? What is confusing about how NCAA evaluates ACT scores? How else do test scores impact a student athlete’s college prospects? Why do some schools combine athletic and academic money? How does the college testing timeline differ for an athlete? MEET OUR GUEST Jennifer Henson ( a.k.a “The GOAL DIGGER”) is a nationally sought after test prep expert specializing in the ACT test. Jennifer, who was Winton Woods City School’s (OH) Teacher of the Year in 2014, holds a Master of Education degree with a Bachelor’s in English from Xavier University—where she was a walk-on tennis player. She’s taught 21 years and coached ACT prep for over 7 years-- and has an army of teachers trained to assist her requests for tutorials. Her former ACT students now attend notable higher learning institutions, including Notre Dame, The Ohio State University, Texas A&M, The Naval Academy, and the University of Kentucky—among others. Jennifer has assisted students from California to Connecticut—and states in between—to reach their personal ACT goals. No score is too low or too high, as she has doubled the scores of students starting at the low end, in addition to helping initially higher scoring students achieve the coveted 36 on every section of the test. Two young men playing D1 football had a composite score of a 9 originally, and scored 18 and 20 (respectively) after working with her. Two of her former clients now have NFL experience. Today's episode features Jen X - The Voice of Erotica I read her story, Mr. Hedgefund's Pussycat. This story features Petplay. About the Author. Constantly being called a "character" growing up because of her over the top storytelling, Jen was a natural when she started writing short stories in the fourth grade. At the same time, she "met" Judy Blume, and fell in love. Her fate was sealed when she read Forever. In January Jen joined Medium because she wanted to be a serious writer. In February she wrote a poem about an orgasm that was well received. When Rose, the Chief Editor of My Erotica clapped for her and told her to go for it Jen started writing for My Erotica. Changing her name to The Voice of Erotica™, Jen writes and stars in her own second person erotica short stories. As a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in injury work, Jen combines her hands on training and experience working with her clients to create a safe space for her readers to explore the power of touch and pleasure through her words. She never dreamed she'd be using her BA in Communications to promote open honest communication between consensual partners. Transition is a natural part of life and business. My guest today on the Epic Success Podcast helps entrepreneurs build confidence instead of overwhelm and uncertainty as they evolve. I love how her educational background and personal journey as an entrepreneur has led her to helping thousands of entrepreneurs. My dear friend, Jen Casey, helps online coaches and network marketers to think like a top earner and sell persuasively. Her specialty is teaching entrepreneurs how to get into their niche to serve at a deeper level. So if you’ve ever found yourself navigating transitions and the flood of thoughts that accompany them, this is for you. Key take-aways in this episode: “Getting in alignment is really about recognizing when something no longer feels good and then realizing when something feels really fun.” Tune in to the things that spark excitement in you and allow that to guide you and your business. Allow yourself to pivot into the next season and your next-level identity. Jen shares her personal experience of transition in her business and the mindset obstacle and growth that comes with it. [11:41] “Your tribe wants to see you succeed. They want to see you evolve. That’s why they follow you.” The people who are interested in the new phase of what you’re doing will follow you. If it doesn’t align with where they’re at, they will find someone else. And that’s okay. Listen in to hear Jen teach about the power of identifying your niche. [15:00] “The idea and feeling you’ve identified as overwhelm is just a collection of feelings and thoughts that are driving you to think about things that you don’t want.” Confidence comes from recognizing that you have a choice in what you think and those chosen thoughts create your reality. Jen says the biggest thing she sees new entrepreneurs in her programs struggling with is recognizing the power of their language and taking notice of the negative thoughts and stories running their mind and business. [23:45] Jen shared so many valuable gems on how to harness your thoughts to elevate your business. As Jen says in her final thought in the interview, go take inspired, messy action this week!
