On this week's program, we bring you a vital update on what's happening in Frankfort with respect to legislation impacting the environment in our Commonwealth. This week, we listen in on the February Program of Forward Radio's proud community partner, the Greater Louisville Sierra Club, as they discussed the 2024 General Assembly with Audrey Ernstberger from the Kentucky Resources Council at United Crescent Hill Ministries on February 20th. Audrey provides an overview of “the good, the bad, and the ugly," including analyses of legislation relating to environmental, conservation, consumer, energy, and general government bills and resolutions during this “long” 60-legislative day session. You'll also hear recommendations and tangible action items before the General Assembly adjourns sine die on April 15, 2024. Audrey Ernstberger, associate attorney and lobbyist with KRC, graduated from Centre College and earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2019. Shortly after law school, she pursued an LL.M. in Energy and Environmental Law from The George Washington University Law School, where she attended classes and worked as a research assistant to identify legal obstacles to pre-planning electric grid redevelopment after a natural disaster.

In this episode we took a deep dive into the world of high-performance steering systems and gained insight from one of the best in the business, Cody Haskins from KRC Power Steering! With his extensive background in racing and a dedication to innovation, Cody is an amazing source of information for racers and race teams. Questions Asked on the show: How have things changed for you going from an asphalt racer to racing a dirt late model? And how has that affected your product experience? Do you find that there's a different experience with with like the power steering and the products compared, you know, comparatively? Can you talk about the trend towards tandem pumps? When someone is looking to do all of their front drive setup you know, their power steering, their water pump, and any of your pulley systems - is there any best way or what would you recommend? Do you have an opinion on V belt versus serpentine. If you are if you are in a class that you can't run anything on the back. What are your thoughts on V belt versus serpentine? I think you have done some extensive work with even more like just tell us what you've got from KRC for the 525s? And you have some other accessories as well like your seamline kit, correct? Can you tell us a little bit about that for how racers can bring, you know, some of this economics and math into you know, deciding like basically kind of where they're going to run that and just tell us a little bit about that. What are some of the most common questions that you receive on a daily basis over KRC? What are some of the other questions that you receive? And with your power steering pumps, is this much like a water pump in the sense that if you can keep the temperatures cooler, that you're gonna get better performance? What are your thoughts on a bottom restrictor, do you have any thoughts on that? Do you find that in different areas of the country that even with like, let's say with crate motors, that guys are running different things and getting the like you'll get better results with this package in the Midwest and then a different package in the South. Are you seeing anything like that? Any kind of kind of tips that you would have for racers? Now can moisture be an issue as well with your your power steering fluid?

There are good reasons why Freddie Steady Krc has a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Academy of Music, a Texas Tornado Award from Buddy Magazine, and is in the Texas Music Hall of Fame. His rich musical history all comes together in Freddie Steady's Wild Country project, a setting in which the music of his many incarnations all comes together. Krc (rhymes with search) landed in Austin at the moment that a musical revolution was getting started at a styles-don't-matter joint called the Armadillo. By the time he hit town, he was also passionate about the Tex-Mex mix of the Sir Douglas Quintet (his first concert), the psychedelic sounds of rock innovators the 13th Floor Elevators, and the soulful folk of singer/songwriters like B. W. Stevenson and Jerry Jeff Walker. Session drumming includes studio work with everyone from Sir Douglas Quintet's Augie Meyers to Carole King, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters to The Faces' Ronnie Lane. Freddie's greatest stage memories include performing for Presidents Clinton and Ford, drumming gigs with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and with legendary San Francisco's Charlatans at Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His dozens of credits as a record producer include Peter Lewis of Moby Grape, Sal Valentino of The Beau Brummels, and Al Staehely of Spirit. https://www.freddiesteadykrc.com The Arwen Lewis Show Host | Arwen Lewis Executive Producer | Jeremiah D. The formula is understanding the concepts.” “Your content is your storefront. It's literally all you have to get people to understand what you do and who you are.” “You don't have to show up everywhere. You can be consistent and show up in one place with great value.” “You have to build discipline. Understand that it is part of what you are doing to create the discipline to show up.” “Remember that you are asking people to make significant investments in you with their money, time, and hope to accomplish a goal.” “When you feel like it's hard, it might just mean you're still building muscle. The more you build, the more flow you feel.” “I believe that my people deserve better. I am going to commit to not only speaking about it, but I'm going to commit to creating something that will actually help them.” “When you're talking about things you have a conviction about, a belief and that's real and you did it in a way that's normal to you, you come across authentically.” “I think that what you need to do when you're considering coaching is really look at where your blind spots or where your limits are.” “You need to have some vision, you need to elevate what you think is possible, because I don't believe we'll ever outwork what we believe is possible.” “Build intentionally. Learn to soak up all the goodness, all the wisdom and all the strategy, and learn to apply it your way.” Connect with the Danielle: Website: https://unstoppableentrepreneur.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/daniellecmarketing/ Links Mentioned: Join the Live Your Purpose, Launch Your Practice Workshop here: https://www.heatheraliceshea.com/intuitive-coach-launch Join the Atmana Intuitive Coach Collective Facebook Group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/atmanaintuitivecoachcollective

Newark, NJ native. Pivoter. Writer. Daughter of Immigrants. Meet Marlene. Her "aha" courage moment came while working at Lincoln Center. Marlene loved working in the performing arts but wanted more involved in the creative & artistic process so in 2007, she pivoted from a traditional, full-time employee to a freelance teacher/writer and entrepreneur. She began teaching literacy and creative writing classes for both children and adults. This work ignited her passion and fueled her to start a non-profit focused on children’s literacy called Kids Research Center (KRC). KRC has been around for 12 years and continues to provide free literacy classes and programs to children. During this time, she began working on her own writing - she's written several books, poems, articles. She won the literary fiction award from the Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers for a story called “The Return of J Walker.” In 2015 she made another pivot and began working on a new business focused on families, children, teaching artists, and technology. In 2016, she launched CuratedCare.com with my business partner, Erin McConaghy. Curated Care is an online marketplace like Etsy or Airbnb where families connect with and book teachers and artists for babysitting sessions, private lessons, online tutoring, and party entertainment. Providers on the site “Kid Experts” and they are inspiring, talented entrepreneurs themselves who enjoy working with and sharing their creative skillset with children. In the last 4 years, Curated Care has grown to over 330 Kid Experts in New York City. The company beta launched in Los Angeles in late 2019 and recently expanded our B2B arm to Miami. During this episode, we talk the "real" challenges of entrepreneurship, the importance of finding your tribe, building a network of women collaborators, and parenting. The Stop Doing List – Part Three: How to Actually ‘Stop Doing' Want the transcript? Download it here. In the final episode of our three-part special on The Stop Doing List book, author Matt Malouf takes listeners through the final step in the process – how to actually ‘stop doing' those tasks that are not in your genius. During this episode, Matt focuses on the importance of the KRC model – Knowledge, Responsibility, Control – as without knowledge, we actually are unable to effectively be responsible or control any aspect of anything. Some of the areas covered are: Understanding that without knowledge, we actually are unable to effectively be responsible or control any aspect of anything In order to start imparting knowledge and enable somebody else to take responsibility, there needs to be training systems and technology, and a blend of these, with systems being at the center of this To avoid tasks boomeranging back to you, you must invest time and money in the on going training of your team The importance of reporting and accountability once a task has been delegated In this episode: 02:00 – How to actually ‘Stop Doing' 03:02 – The KRC model 04:38 – Linking the KRC 08:22 – Reporting and accountability 11:33 – Managing delegation 18:23 – Wrapping things up Let us know what your key takeout has been from this episode and join the continuing conversation over in the Virtual Success Facebook Group. Resources mentioned in this show: The Stop Doing List – www.stopdoing.com.au Barbara: Hey, everyone. Welcome back to another show of the Virtual Success Show where I'm joined by my co-host, Matt Malouf. How are you, Matt? Matt: I'm well, Barb, and yourself? Barbara: Good. Thank you. Good. Thank you. Really enjoying this series that we're doing on your book, The Stop Doing List. I learn a lot every time I do this show, but it's about refining things. Although I've gotten quite good at all these steps of delegation, and systems, and processes, and teams over the last few years I've been doing this, there's always little bits that I learn more of when we do these shows and particularly from this series about The Stop Doing List. Matt: Yeah. It's interesting. I started writing the book two years ago. Obviously, we published it three months ago now. As you go back, and you remember, and you go, “Oh, yeah. We put that part in there.” I was also preparing for the show, you know, there's things you forget that you put into the book, so it's really great for me to go back and reiterate what I actually put in here as well. Barbara: I think the point actually that it's a good point we make here, and I've often said to clients, “Processes are not a one-time thing like, none of this stuff is you just set and forget. It's a constant evolving process of mindset, ‘Stop doing. Stop doing. Stop doing.'” Okay. Today, we're going to tackle part three of the book, which I think is probably one of the most important areas to get right and one of the areas we see a lot of clients getting tripped up in, which is actually how to stop doing. How to actually ‘Stop Doing' When you create your task list, you've got all your processes and systems in place, and you delegate, and you got the VA on board, and you've done everything you were told to do, and then this is the area where people often fall down. First of all, Matt, can you tell me why is that? What happens in the actual process of how to stop doing? Matt: Yeah, and this was one of the most interesting parts to writing this book because I think many of us, myself included, have delegated and passed tasks on before, and it seems like that boomerang effect where they keep coming back to us. I was just intrigued and kept asking, “What is it? Why do these tasks keep coming back?” Then, in my research, I stumbled across what's called the “KRC model,” the Knowledge, Responsibility, Control. It's a model that is part of the Harvard Management System.
