As Freo fans it feels a bit weird ridiculing Gold Coast's trades. Doesn't mean we're not going to do it, but just feels weird. Time to Restump Podcast Sunday's clash against the Suns. We've not got a great recent record at Gold Coast's home ground Metricon stadium, but then again… with two losses from three games there this year, neither do the Suns. Some expected big ins but a somewhat surprising yet also understandable out with Brandon Walker, having been told to take a spin around the oval with the Peel boys. Fresh off taking care of Curnow and Cameron, Griffin Logue returns to play his 50th. Alex Pearce and his defensive crew will look to contain the in form Levi “Rock the” Casboult all while keeping short leashes on the dangerous Izak Rankine and Ben Ainsworth. So its safe to say he won't be humming the Cheers tv show theme song, “Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.” Brodie will be looking to continue making the statement he has in the first 8 rounds. With Switta and Sonny side-lined and still no Tabs, 3 or 4 goals more now fall on the shoulders of the collective. The forecast is for 25 degrees and rain…. They're both in cracking form but we'll back Darce, with back up from Lobby, to relentlessly drive Jarrod mad, possibly to Witt's end.We have to keep an eye on Touk Miller after his rare quiet one last week, Matty “Notepad” Rowell is back on his way to becoming that contested possession king and the slick big ball winning youngster Noah Anderson returns to the Suns line up.It's a game we should win but the Suns are a bit unpredictable and they're are coming off a big win over the Swans on the their home deck last week. Jamie and Nick discuss another loss to the Giants, this time at Metricon stadium. We go quarter by quarter, tally up our DonsCast medal votes, and review each of the 22 players who donned the sash in our 'By the Numbers' segment.
Afloquence is back after the gang took a managed rest over the bye rounds. This week the sad boys are talking about emotionally checking out, Heat lamps at Metricon stadium, Ace Buckley, and all things football related.
Matt & Keegan basically rip the lads apart about the awful performance at Metricon on the weekend, where the Lions just belted the Suns aside. We focus on the abjectly woeful performance that was put up.Are we tactically up to it?Is the Jarrad Lyons trade debacle the worst in AFL history?Who is on borrowed time at the Suns?We try to pick a best on ground. And look forward to another really tough game against the Cats this weekend, and try to predict any changes we may see. Thanks for listening! Ep. 8 - Hot young Suns outwork sluggish Sydney at Metricon. A disappointing 40 point loss on the Gold Coast saw the Swannies drop their second game in two weeks. Noddy and Stevo trawl through the game to try and find some positives to take into the upcoming Round 7 game against Geelong, and have a look at the latest Swans VFL game to see if there are any likely replacements for those on the growing injury list. They check up on the AFL ladder as it starts to take shape at the quarter time mark of the season, and preview the other big games of Round 7 in the AFL.
Hi Team,*Just a note off the top, Matt's computer decided to go down about an hour before we were due to record, so he used his phone for this episode and there may be a few audio issues. We hope to have that sorted next week.Matt & Keegan talk about yet another close loss to the Blues at Metricon, why can't we kick the ball? Are Dew's tactics the right way to go? Should we still play night games at Metricon? Should we begin looking to the future already and moving some players onto the 'do not play again list'? Our 3,2,1 and looking ahead to our game against the Bulldogs this weekend for the Jarrad Grant cup. Thanks for listening! As we review the win we chat our coaching situation, our structural shortcomings, the key players' performances and pleeeeeenty more in a bumper new episode.
Coco, Mal and BartMan entertain Blues diehard Memphis, as they discuss and dissect a game that saw 1.17 (or so) kicked across the middle two quarters. We touch on the Gabba granny, Leon re-signing, and discuss how the tailor is going to get to Dessie Haynes to measure him up for his first All Australian blazer. The gap between the Doggies best and worst is stark and if they want to be considered a contender they needed to have beaten at least one of those top 6 sides they played but we say if you beat a top 4 side, you can solidify your credentials. After winning a very tight game against the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon, the Doggies had a tough draw playing the Tigers, Power and Lions in consecutive weeks. They had Adelaide over the weekend who they crushed but a match-up with a top eight Melbourne will be an interesting clash to see where the Doggies are in 2020. Join Sparrow, Bartman and Mal as they tame the Wild Beast that is Round 9 of the 2020 AFL Season. This week we opt for Plan A; an Orange-Tsunami of unauthorised, unfiltered and uninformed, Squinting speculation and banter. We unpack more insights from Issues-Of-The-Week than you can fit in a Samsonite suitcase. We analyse and dissect our dominant performance over the Rising Suns (or perhaps setting Suns?). We salivate over the upcoming game against Shiel, Devon and James Stewart (the only relevant Bombers). And we imagine a strange dystopian future of an AFL landscape without Victorian clubs. Perhaps the Old Bar Bulldogs up against the Wagga Tigers, the Belconnen Pies taking on the Tamworth Roos, and the Darwin Bombers hosting the Cats from Concord (Gill that’s Copyrighted to The Squinters but of course happy to be included in the Think Tank). Well there was some footy played on the weekend, Melbourne let their parents and all of Victoria down when it lost to Sydney. It wasn't a close encounter with the scoreboard not telling the whole story, but when Sydney kick like a cock-eyed Cloke and still win, you know you had shite game. And Bugg punched someone but hey, we'll go through that. West Coast only just managed to close out the game against the Bulldogs after falling asleep in the 3rd quarter, while Adelaide barely take flight against the Blues. Gold Coast are the latest to kick the Kangaroos in the pouch with a win at Metricon. With external pressure mounting to uproot from the thriving suburb that is North Melbourne and into the perineum of Australia that is Tasmania, this could be an important time in the clubs history. GWS and Geelong draw in what surely should have gone to a sudden victory round, so never leave it in the hands of the judges kids. Port Adelaide invented a rivalry out of nothing, just as Richmond invented a victory out of nothing as a six goal streak sees the Tigers down a powerless Port! Brisbane once again give Essendon a reason to complain about being Richmond supporters while the Hawks and the Magpies create a rivalry dubbed battle of who gives a scheisse as both teams try to f*ck themselves out of draft picks at the MCG. Ah Im done, Freo played St Kilda, who gives a shite. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

If there is a difference between information and bits we had better find it soon. The bit-count is bounding upward, no one dares throw anything away, and once "search" supplants "organize" there is no going back. Information may or may not want to be free, but it wants to be in motion, so much so that ISPs see their future in movie rentals and the speed of light determines how far away your trade submission servers can be from the Exchange and still do micro-arbitrage. Like a gas, information has to be collected, purified, and compressed to be of value, so any leak, impurity, or loss of containment is a loss of value, per se. The street price of drugs has a more stable floor than the street price of stolen data, the percentage of attack tools that are privately held is rising, and the workfactor for information defense is the integral of the workfactor for information offense, yet we do not have the quantitative tools to value our information. That is possibly the key -- quantitative information risk management that is on par with quantitative financial risk management.
