What's up OG Pick Me's, Happy April!! We were really needing to rant, so we decided to give you an early PHG where we could discuss: Taylar's Drama with Tennessee Football after former Head Coach announces he is suing the NCAA for $100M for "conspiring with Tennessee to make him a sacrificial lamb". Then Tay and Morg go on to discuss the update in the Hot Mess/Alix Earle Drama, before wrapping up with some conversations about shows we are super into. Of course, there are 1 thousand other conversations throughout this, but those are the headliners!! Love ya so much, see ya later this week for Patreon Episode 85!!***Creeps and Crimes is a conspiracy, paranormal, and true crime podcast where two non-professional 20 something year old best friends discuss topics at length. The Antipoverty Centre was established in 2021 and are a collective of activists, advocates and researchers with direct, contemporary experience of poverty and unemployment. Their mission is to shift how people speak about and respond to poverty and unemployment in this colony. You can follow and support the important work of the AC by going to https://antipovertycentre.org/ 7:45 AM// National Day of Action for PalestineOn Wednesday, 26th of March, various university groups across the country rallied at their campuses as part of the National Day of Action for Palestine. At University of Melbourne, students and staff came together to demand the university cut academic ties with so-called Israel, and divest from research partnerships with weapon manufacturers that are complicit in the ongoing genocide in Palestine. We will now listen to two speakers from the rally at University of Melbourne. Sophie Rudolph is a research fellow from the Faculty of Education who spoke on behalf of the National Tertiary Education Union and staff members who are in opposition of the increasing repression against protests on campus, as well as the proposed anti-semitism definition by Universities Australia. After that, we will hear from Pipin, an international student from Indonesia, highlighting the global and interconnected struggle for liberation and democracy. For more information, see @studentsagainstwar_unimelb and @melbournebergerak on Instagram 8:00 AM// Avalon Airshow picketCommunity members rallied against the Avalon air-show last week, highlighting the event as a weapons expo. On Friday (28 Mar) Amy Aednat [pron: Eed-Nat] Ciara spoke to Jaimie Jeffrey from IPAN (Independent and Peaceful Australia Network) Geelong-Southwest and community member Cheryl about the many levels of government involvement in the arms trade, Australia's role in producing weapon components and how this contributes to genocide, how it contributes to the promotion of militarism. Jamie and Cheryl also discuss local community's thoughts and pushback on the day. This recording was made on the ground at the blockade. 8:15 AM// Anti-trans campaign by Australian Christian LobbyOn Sunday, for 3CR's Trans Day of Audibility 2025, Amy from Kill Your Lawn and Kick Your Fence and Local Food Connections, interviewed non-binary sex worker Charlie Bear about their research into the Australian Christian Lobby's anti-trans and anti-sex worker campaigning. This is a timely conversation as Russell's Vought's and the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 brings a far-right Christian nationalism into law making in the USA. Hello Adventurers! As Valentione's Day has just passed us by, we thought now would be a great time to show some of the characters in Final Fantasy XIV some love. As it just so happens, GPOSERS had kicked off the month with a post on Bluesky that links to a FFXIV character Tiermaker. Ouvrez vos chakras

Effects of Emerging Bipolar Magnetic Regions in Mean-field Dynamo Model of Solar Cycles 23 and 24 by V. V. Pipin et al. on Monday 17 October We model the physical parameters of Solar Cycles 23 and 24 using a nonlinear dynamical mean-field dynamo model that includes the formation and evolution of bipolar magnetic regions (BMR). The Parker-type dynamo model consists of a complete MHD system in the mean-field formulation: the 3D magnetic induction equation, and 2D momentum and energy equations in the anelastic approximation. The initialization of BMR is modeled in the framework of Parker's magnetic buoyancy instability. It defines the depths of BMR injections, which are typically located at the edge of the global dynamo waves. The distribution with longitude and latitude and the size of the initial BMR perturbations are taken from the NOAA database of active regions. The tilt of the perturbations is modeled by random function, and the mean tilt is modeled as a near-surface helicity (alpha-effect) term. The data-driven models are compared with the models calculated for random longitudinal and latitudinal distributions of the initial perturbation. The modeling results are compared with various observed characteristics of the solar cycles, including the magnetic butterfly diagram, the polar magnetic and basal magnetic fluxes, and the probability distributions of the BMR flux on the surface. Our results show that BMR can play a substantial role in the dynamo processes, and affect the strength of the solar cycle. However, the data-driven model shows that the BMR effect alone cannot explain the weak Cycle 24. This weak cycle and the prolonged preceding minimum of magnetic activity were probably caused by a decrease of the turbulent helicity in the bulk of the convection zone during the decaying phase of Cycle 23. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2210.08764v1

Pipin: Live at Yonder Festival, Mary Valley, 25 November 2021 Pipin began as the project of singer/songwriter Bec Hoole in 2018 when she began collaborating with her partner, Hugh Middleton from the band Mid Ayr. The name Pipin came partly from a dog and partly from a children's book. Pipin have released a long, steady string of singles since 2020, as well as the EP "Your Time Is Your Own" in 2021. The material has gradually moved from dreamy pop to a more upbeat disco vibe. There is a strong visual component to the Pipin project, with elaborate outfits, music videos and live performances. In the past year Pipin have racked up some major support slots with the likes of Hatchie and Ball Park Music. The live band consists of Hoole on vocals, Middleton on guitar, George Reed on bass and synth bass and Zac Moynihan on drums.
