Pathway-Driven Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease The article is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education all of which is towards pharmacology. by: Deborah L. Crimaldi, MSN, CNP Published:June 24, 2020 DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.nurpra.2020.04.020 UC is a gastrointestinal (GI) disease that is localized to the large intestine, or colon, where inflammation can affect either the entire organ or a portion of it. Approximately 1.86 billion patients have been diagnosed with UC globally, with 1.54 billion patients currently receiving treatment. Traditional therapies have yielded $4.18 billion in annual sales around the world, a figure expected to increase to $6.85 billion by 2022 with the approval of various pipeline drugs (Gohil and Carramusa, 2014). CD can affect any part of the GI tract, but most commonly involves both the large and small intestines. Although CD is more severe than UC, the global prevalence is much lower, with only 1.3 million patients diagnosed and 0.8 million who currently receive treatment. Still, traditional therapies have resulted in an impressive $3.17 billion in global market sales, which is predicted to increase to $4.20 billion by 2022 (Gohil and Carramusa, 2014). Traditional therapies are highly effective in these hard-to-treat diseases. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors are firmly established as treatments but sometimes present problems, such as immunogenicity or an eventual loss of response (Gohil and Carramusa, 2014). Folger Shakespeare Library: Shakespeare Unlimited

Who were the actors who first performed Shakespeare’s plays? You might know the names of some of the King’s Men—the company of which Shakespeare was a shareholder—like Richard Burbage, Will Kempe, or Robert Armin. But who were their co-stars? How were they cast? And what was it like to watch their performances? In this episode, we talk to Dr. Lucy Munro, author of the latest book in Bloomsbury’s Shakespeare in the Theatre series, The King’s Men. By exploring theatrical contracts, the handful of existing cast lists, and what there is of 16th- and early 17th-century theater criticism, the book gives us a peek into the inner workings of the company that brought Shakespeare’s plays to life for the first time. Munro is interviewed by Barbara Bogaev. Dr. Lucy Munro is a lecturer in Shakespeare and Early Modern Drama at King's College London. She is the author of Children of the Queen’s Revels: A Jacobean Theatre Repertory, published by Cambridge University Press in 2005, and Archaic Style in English Literature, 1590-1674, published by Cambridge in 2013. She is the editor John Fletcher's Taming of the Shrew-sequel, The Tamer Tamed, for Methuen Drama in 2010. Her latest, Shakespeare in the Theatre: The King’s Men, was published by Bloomsbury in 2020. On this episode of The Krypt, I am going to share an article that Patreon Executive Producer BabyLove2269 she found on theswaddle.com and written by Pallavi Prasad titled BDSM Culture Can Make Women More Assertive In Work, Relationships. After I read it, I’m going to give you my first impression of what was said. Yep, this is going to be totally different than anything I’ve done before in that its pretty much a raw and unedited episode. Stick around afterward for a special announcement. Rules to Love by:1: Safe, sane, consensual, and informed2: KNKI: Knowledge, No Intolerance, Kindness, Integrity3: “Submission is not about authority and it’s not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.” -Wm. Paul Young“BDSM Culture Can Make Women More Assertive In Work, Relationships” By Pallavi Prasad found at https://theswaddle.com/bdsm-women-positive-effects-confidence Published June 28, 2019“I don’t know how to explain it … but I have more clarity the morning after. It’s come to a point where my partner and I ensure we engage in a play scene before any big meetings I have. It really gives me the boost I need.”R.P. is a 32-year-old consultant living in Mumbai. When she joined a high-powered consulting firm seven years ago, she found herself struggling to keep up with the pace and make herself heard.“Around the same time, I got into a relationship with a man who was into BDSM [bondage and discipline; dominance and submission; sadism and masochism] and kink play. He introduced me to it and I instantly took a liking to it,” R.P. says. “Surprisingly, I found myself gravitating towards the role of the Dominant. Within the confines of a loving and safe space with a partner I trusted, I was able to assert myself in ways I couldn’t outside my bedroom. Slowly, I began to notice that especially on days after we had engaged in a play scene, I would feel more focussed, composed and clear-headed. It was almost as if the satisfied feeling I felt in bed, in that position of power, flowed over the next day. I feel like I know more about myself — my mind and my body.”According to recent research by Dr. Brad Sagarin, a professor of psychology at Northern Illinois University, kinks such as BDSM alter the blood flow pattern in the brain, creating altered states of consciousness. For those who assume the dominant position in BDSM, these mental states are called “flow” — the term popularized by positive psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi. Flow is defined as an “optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.” It’s a state of hyperawareness, laser focus, and euphoria, which resonates with R.P.’s experience. “I just feel more brave, if that makes sense,” she says. Sagarin’s research confirms just that. The study found that people who regularly experience flow as an effect of dominant BDSM roles report improved concentration, clarity about goals, decision-making skills, and listening and intuitive skills. They also demonstrate lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, less self-consciousness and less aversion to risk. The study also found those taking on submissive roles in BDSM play experience “transient hypofrontality,” a peaceful, dreamlike state, often compared to a runner’s high or described as being “in the zone.” Creativity and productivity peak in this state of decreased self-awareness.R.P. explains how her female friends from the BDSM community have discussed this before: “Sometimes when we share — and we’re all doms — our experiences with each other, we all agree that we are in a great mood throughout the next day and feel more energized and creative. It’s like a strange high, knowing what we did the previous night.”People who experience either of these altered mental states report higher levels of happiness, creativity, and productivity for up to three days after, according to research by Harvard University professor Teresa Amabile. They also report transferring the focus, confidence, concentration, and decision-making skills of BDSM into everyday life. It is no wonder, then, that people who engage in BDSM are less neurotic, more extraverted, more open to new experiences, more conscientious, less sensitive to rejection, and have higher subjective well-being outside the bedroom, according to a 2016 study on the psychological characteristics of BDSM practitioners.Additionally, partners who engage in sadomasochism are more connected and more intimate than those who do not engage in it, according to a 2009 study published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior. The honest expression of one’s fantasies and desires, and consensually, respectfully and safely executing that as a BDSM scene, requires a high level of communication and trust between partners — a feature regularly absent from non-kinky or “vanilla” sex, as the BDSM community calls it.“My boyfriend and I have definitely become much closer since we started exploring this space together. We don’t lie to each other in our relationship — white lies not included, and even those we mostly confess — because the trust between us is the same, inside and outside the bedroom,” says R.P. “There’s very little drama and if we ever fight, we usually resolve it by talking to each other. But it almost never reaches that point because every day, in a way, we tell each other about what it is that we want from the other person and what we don’t. It’s like learning how to negotiate with another person.”Women have traditionally been discouraged from developing such open and clear communication skills. In 2018, former dominatrix, Kasia Urbaniak started The Academy, a school to teach women the “foundations of power and influence” via month-long female empowerment sessions in New York. Speaking to The Guardian, she says: “It’s about the communications that women carry that either make them go speechless, or afraid of coming across as too bossy or too needy.” Urbaniak explains that by being in the dominant role of BDSM, women learn to project their strength and attention outward. It’s a skill they can then use to flip the power dynamic in the outside world, where women are forced to turn their attention inward, with self-doubt and over-analysis.A barrage of recent research hints at the effects of empowerment via BDSM: people with sexual kinks or fetishes, such as BDSM, group sex, or role-play, have better mental health, less psychological stress, higher self-worth, and more satisfying relationships. Not everyone is convinced of BDSM’s benefits, however. The feminist sex wars over BDSM’s potential for women’s empowerment rage on, with one side seeing BDSM as a way to explore and enable female sexuality, and the other side seeing it as yet another manifestation of the hyper-masculine, patriarchal order’s violent idea of sex. But, as black lesbian poet and feminist writer Audrey Lorde puts it in a personal essay, embracing the erotic fosters a deep and irreplaceable “self-connection and fearless underlining of [one’s] capacity for joy.” Released of social context, when examined in individual’s lives and homes, BDSM seems to allow, well, release. And that kind of release writes Lorde, “flows through and colors my life with a kind of energy that heightens and sensitizes and strengthens all my experience.”Show notes can be found at https://kuldrinskrypt.com/227  Thank you: Show Producers:Pro Producer($100/month): LilyxChaosx. Executive Producers ($25/month): Jeremiah, ArcaneD.G.R. & violetaurelia,  Feline_Rouge, babylove2269, and FaisilSr. Producers ($10/month): Matt, Roxiebear, xEmeraldxWolfx, JayKay, SortOutTheKinks, Delilah, SirMutualRespect, Master Gabriel, and Theod123Producers ($5/month): Kainsin, ThatPlace: Oklahoma City, olive_eyes, Seine (Zine), and AlexandriaJr. Producers ($1/month): K-2SO, BuffaloDom84, LxSoumis, Hayley, Morgan, knot_the_daddy, and RaefeIf you would like to become one of our show producers go to our website, https://kuldrinskrypt.com/support to get that information.BDSM Contracts for the donation of their beautiful 25 page soft and hardbound M/s and D/s contracts.. http://bdsmcontracts.org coupon code: kuldrin20 for a 20% discount on all purchases.https://www.daycollars.com is a place for personalized handmade collars, leashes, cuffs and belts.http://whippingstripes.com my personal maker of leather and paracord impact toys. https://tporridtimber.comNext Time on the Krypt:??? Have you ever wanted to know more about Ophelia? What does she think about the events at Elsinore? What is her relationship to Hamlet? Whose account of her death should we believe? Shakespeare’s Hamlet leaves lots of questions about Ophelia unanswered. That’s where Lisa Klein’s Ophelia comes in. Klein’s 2006 YA novel approaches the events of Hamlet from Ophelia’s point of view, suggesting what might happen to her between the lines and scenes of Shakespeare’s play. Now, Ophelia is a major motion picture starring Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley as Ophelia and Naomi Watts as Gertrude. On the eve of the film’s theatrical release, we talk to Lisa Klein about her book and its heroine. Klein is interviewed by Barbara Bogaev. From the Shakespeare Unlimited podcast. Our guest this episode is Lorry Wagner, president of LEEDCo, the Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation, and the developer of Icebreaker Wind. LEEDCo is fairly unique as an offshore wind developer in that it’s a non-profit organization rather than a for-profit developer.  So we start our conversation with the story of LEEDCo’s formation, and then we discuss the Icebreaker Wind project, soon to be the nation’s first and only offshore wind project in fresh waters. We cover the project details, where it stands in the permitting and approval process and the expected construction timetable. Lorry discusses his approach to partnering with Tier 1 suppliers and other businesses to make the project happen, and shares his thoughts on ways to develop a domestic supply chain of local content to serve this new industry. Lorry shares his observations about how the Business Network and the IPF — the Network’s International Partnering Forum conference — have evolved and grown, and we close with him sharing a neat but unexpected development with Icebreaker Wind. In our conversation Lorry mentioned that Icebreaker Wind has received 13 of the 14 approvals it needs to move forward. Just a couple weeks after we recorded this episode, the project achieved an agreement with staff at the Ohio Power Siting Board. Lorry is optimistic that this agreement will move the project that much closer to getting final approval from the Board and hopefully a permit this fall. The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help. At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England. Like that could go wrong. https://www.amazon.com/My-Lady-Jane-Cynthia-Hand-ebook/dp/B015CYCHNQ/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=814F2NSYX71FDMQ1AXGV#navbar Published June 7th of 2016 by Harper Teen it has about 58 customer reviews with a 5.4 average. and has a price point of $9.99 for the kindle version. The cover shows a portrait of a young woman in historical costume, from the shoulders up. I assume this is Lady Jane Grey. the title is in block letters. In cursive there are three quotes written in like a student's graffiti on a book cover with little arrows pointing to the woman's face with the sayings, "sometimes history gets it all wrong", "it isn't easy being queen", and "off with her head". The amazon preview includes the Prologue, which actually makes reasonable sense in this story, and into the second chapter. I will read a ways into the first chapter. The authors use parenthesis liberally. I won't point them out as I read. That would be tedious. I'll try to change my tone of voice to an explanatory inflection. We'll see if you can tell the difference. Here's the story... I found this book on the Goodreads Young Adult news letter among the five most popular YA Books of June. I was drawn to if because of it's comparison to "The Princess Bride". I consider myself a Princess Bride snob, not because I've watched the movie a hundred times, but because I first read the book as a teenager in the seventies. I've read it twice since. If you didn't know there was a book, I would recommend it to anyone who liked the movie. I wouldn't say the book is better than the movie, except that there is so much more of it. I thought the movie did a great service to the original work. My goal in reading this book was to see if it would hold up to the princess bride. Any time you make a comparison like that, I'm going to judge you harder than I would have if the blurb just said something like, "Light hearted, absurdly non-historical," or words to that effect. As far as I read, I still think "The Princess Bride" is head and shoulders above. I liked it though, and will probably get the Audible version to be able to finish the book in comfort. Hopefully their English accents are better than mine. Having only read into the first chapter it's not apparent how the three authors work together, if they confer with each other about the plot, if they write together on each chapter, or if they take on separate characters. It would be interesting to hear from one or more of them how they went about writing it together. I think the characterization is great and engaging. The writing is beautiful and the voice is clearly one that the young adult audience should, and by the reviews, does love. I give My Lady Jane a five star reccomendation to continue reading.

Guest: Michael's Son joins the show from California ARTICLE 1: Federal officials: Eastern Pequots, second tribe have ‘exhausted’ recognition efforts Published June 07. 2016 6:44PM | Updated June 08. 2016 1:00AM By SUSAN HAIGH HARTFORD (AP) — The federal Bureau of Indian Affairs has notified two state-recognized tribes in Connecticut that they've exhausted both administrative and judicial remedies for gaining federal recognition, a claim rebuffed by the leaders of both tribes who vowed to keep pursuing their applications. R. Lee Fleming, the director of the Office of Federal Acknowledgement, said "the only available remedy" now available to the Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe in North Stonington and the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation in Kent is Congress passing legislation granting them federal recognition. Fleming sent similar letters to the Eastern Pequots on June 2 and the Schaghticokes on April 25. The recognition would make the tribes eligible for federal aid for such things as housing, health care and education. It also would give them the ability to pursue economic development, such as casinos. Richard Velky, chief of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, said the letter sent to his attorney came as a complete surprise. He said the tribe does not have any applications currently pending. "I was taken aback. Why is this guy sending my attorney a letter like this when we requested nothing from him," Velky said. http://www.theday.com/statenortheast/20160607/federal-officials-eastern-pequots-second-tribe-have-exhausted-recognition-efforts Article 2: Gathering of Nations Announces New ABQ Home at Tingley Coliseum The 34th Annual Gathering of Nations will be from April 27 to 29, 2017. Seemingly without irony or self-awareness, she uses the images of powerful women of color like Shirley Chisholm to sell her campaign to women, working people and people of color. Many who identify themselves as feminist seem to believe that any progress made by an individual woman, particularly a wealthy white woman, translates into progress for the rest of us. It does not. Wealth does not trickle down, nor does societal power. Dismantling oppression just doesn’t work that way. A few token members of an oppressed group being allowed into the halls of power will not set the rest of us free, and it’s disheartening to see people in 2016 still looking to women like Gloria Steinem, Madeline Albright and Hillary Clinton as saviors of women. This election has so far seen a variety of caucus-related issues, primarily, it seems, on the Democratic side. Another such case, this time regarding the Colorado caucus, has just been revealed, thanks to reporting by The Denver Post. On April 12, the Colorado Democratic Party admitted to miscounting the results in ten percent of the state’s precincts in caucus. The Denver Post discussed in detail the potential consequences of this miscount: ‘The mistake is a minor shift with major implications. The new projection now shows the Vermont senator winning 39 delegates in Colorado, compared to 27 for Clinton. Even if Clinton wins all 12 superdelegates in the state, Sanders can finish no worse than a split decision. The new count contrasts with  prior projections from The Post, Bloomberg Politics and The Associated Press that indicated  Clinton would probably win the majority of the 78 delegates in Colorado because of her support from party leaders with superdelegate status. If Sanders lands one Colorado superdelegate — two are still undecided and others are  facing significant pressure — he could win the state’s delegation.’ What is most controversial about this issue isn’t the fact that a mistake was made, but the fact that a mistake was made and the Colorado Democratic Party tried to cover it up rather than fix it. The Sanders campaign was not informed about the miscount, while the Clinton campaign was. Full Article here: http://usapoliticus.com/breaking-colorado-democratic-party-admits-error-bernie-sanders-could-win-majority-of-delegates/   (C) Bernie Sanders Campaign….Where does he/we go from here? June 7th Super Tuesday was being built up as the last of the Primaries, excluding Washington DC. as of the date of this broadcast, Bernie Sanders is still in the race, The media has declared Hillary Clinton of the “Presuptive Nominee” and President Obama and Vice President Biden have officially endorsed Clinton for President for the Democratic party. But….. What if you found out that there was voter fraud being pretreated on the American people? What if you found out that…out of no fault of your own…. your vote was never counted? As a “Good American Citizen” you were just doing your “Civil Duty” to cast your vote for either the person of your choice, or the person from the Party of your choice. So you went to your local polling place during this past primary season, and cast your vote. But what if it wasn't’ counted? Would you know? Would it it matter to you? We think it does….

Native Opinion Episode 31 “They Assume Rights That Are Not Theirs”   Reach our show: hosts@nativeopinion.com Twitter: @nativeopinion Facebook.com/nativeopinion Leave us voice mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/nativeopinion     Native News:   ARTICLE 1: Eastern Pequots resurrect federal recognition bid   Published June 02. 2016 7:09PM  By Brian Hallenbeck  Day staff writer Http://www.theday.com    First the news. Then the context. The news is: The Eastern Pequot Tribe has renewed its pursuit of federal recognition, a crucial status it won in a 2002 Bureau of Indian Affairs decision that was reversed three years later. In a petition sent last month to the BIA, the tribe — identifying itself as the “Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe” — asks the agency to “declare and reaffirm” its status as a “Previously Federally Acknowledged Tribe.” Summary: Taken from the article. What does this mean for The Eastern Pequot Nation? Following a lengthy overhaul of the federal-recognition process, the Interior Department adopted new regulations last year that many believed would preclude the Eastern Pequots and other tribes that had been denied recognition from resurrecting their claims. “Any petitioner that was previously denied Federal acknowledgment under this process may not re-petition,” the Interior Department announced. “This includes any petitioners that have reorganized or been renamed or that are wholly or primarily portions of groups that have been denied under these or previous acknowledgment regulations.” The Easterns’ petition, submitted by James Benny Jones Jr., a Washington, D.C.-based attorney and a member of the tribe, contends that the Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe “has never previously petitioned for Federal acknowledgment as either the Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe or under its constitutional government of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation.” Jones did not respond to phone and email messages seeking comment. In 2002, the BIA acknowledged the Eastern Pequot Indians and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Indians as one group, the Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe. The state and the towns of Ledyard, North Stonington, and Preston joined a challenge of the decision, prompting the Interior Board of Indian Appeals to review it. The Interior Department announced in October 2005 that it declined to recognize the Eastern Pequots and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequots, ruling that both tribal factions failed to meet two of seven mandatory requirements for acknowledgment. The department found that the state’s recognition of the Historical Eastern Pequot Tribe did not constitute evidence that the tribe had existed as a “community” or that it had maintained “political authority and influence” over its members from historical times to the present.   Article 2:   Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts isn't worried about a lawsuit filed by casino opponents. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts isn't worried about a lawsuit filed by casino opponents. The tribe broke ground on the First Light Resort and Casino in early April. Opponents are asking a federal judge to halt construction but Chairman Cedric Cromwell said the facility is on track to open in the summer of 2017. "We do not see this lawsuit against the federal government as having any impact on our progress,' Cromwell told The Cape Cod Times. The tribe appears to be on the strong legal ground because the complaint in Littlefield v. Department of the Interior names the Bureau of Indian Affairs as the defendant. Due to sovereign immunity, the tribe cannot be sued without its consent. "In no other case has a court had to confront a sovereign tribe, put into immediate possession of trust lands, starting to construct a casino before any judicial review has occurred," attorney David Tennant, who is representing the casino opponents, said in an affidavit that was filed in support of a request to halt construction on the project. The BIA approved the land-into-trust application for the casino last fall and the land was declared a reservation in January. Summary: Once again, the attempts to halt Native progress is in full swing. It does not matter if it is wearing an Eagle feather at a graduation, or a project that will help Natives become, or stay self-sufficient. Even though I am not a supporter of Indian gaming, and there is a good reason why I am not a supporter, the fact remains, there are forces at work that are determined to halt ANY progress Natives try to make. That has been the case since contact.   Article 3: Title: This Date in History: American Indians Gain Citizenship – June 2, 1924 BY NATIVE NEWS ONLINE STAFF / CURRENTS / 02 JUN 2016 Published June 2, 2016    Summary: Imagine that! We were made citizens in our own country! 91 years ago, Congress passed and President Calvin Coolidge signed the Indian Citizenship Act, which stated “all noncitizen Indians born within the territorial limits of the United States be, and they are hereby declared to be, citizens of the United States: Provided that the granting of such citizenship shall not in any manner impair or otherwise affect the right of any Indian to tribal or other property.”  Only a non-Native would presume and assume the right to decide the fates of those who they have no right to judge, rule, or treat less than human.   The Clintons’ Haiti Screw-Up, As Told By Hillary’s Emails The family still doesn't know how to wield its own power. By Jonathan M. Katz September 02, 2015 It’s hard to find anyone these days who looks back on the U.S.-led response to the January 12, 2010, Haiti earthquake as a success, but it wasn’t always that way. Right after the disaster, even as neighborhoods lay in rubble, their people sweltering under tarps, the consensus—outside Haiti—was that America’s “compassionate invasion” (as TIME Magazine called it) had been “largely a success” (Los Angeles Times), offering further proof that “in critical moments of the history of mankind … the United States is, in fact, the indispensable nation” (Expresso, Portugal). As the latest release of Hillary Clinton’s personal emails by the U.S. State Department Monday revealed, that perception was not an accident. “We waged a very successful campaign against the negative stories concerning our involvement in Haiti,” Judith McHale, the under-secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs, wrote on February 26, 2010. The Clintons did not make an effort to assist the people of Haiti the way they led the world to believe. The Red Cross is not exempt from the lack of aid that should have been rendered to Haiti. Red Cross Built Exactly 6 Homes for Haiti With Nearly Half A Billion Dollars In Donations.  The Clinton’s own daughter was less than enthused with what she saw happening, and even less of what should have been happening. According to, Chelsea Clinton, and I quote:     “The incompetence is mind numbing,” she told her parents. “The UN people I encountered were frequently out of touch … anachronistic in their thinking at best and arrogant and incompetent at worst.” “There is NO accountability in the UN system or international humanitarian system.” The weak Haitian government, which had lost buildings and staff in the disaster, had something of a plan, she noted. Yet because it had failed to articulate its wishes quickly enough, foreigners rushed forward with a “proliferation of ad hoc efforts by the UN and INGOs [international nongovernmental organizations] to ‘help,’ some of which have helped … some of which have hurt … and some which have not happened at all.” End quote. Is it possible the former “First daughter” is not swayed but the aroma of money and power? We can only hope.   Read more: http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/09/hillary-clinton-email-213110#ixzz4AXrgR7Z4  Follow us: @politico on Twitter | Politico on Facebook   Title:   Main Stream News Media delegate estimate  The media fix is in. Tuesday, June 7th, mainstream media plans to call the democratic primary over, and Hillary Clinton the presumptive nominee of the Democratic party at 8PM eastern. This is a deliberate attempt by the media to affect voter turnout in California by making people believe it isn't worth getting out to vote. You will see the media stating that Hillary Clinton only needs 70-90 votes to win. This is false because they are counting SUPER DELEGATES in those projections. They have been doing that since the beginning, and they are all wrong. Super delegates only vote AT the democratic convention in July. The media is purposefully inflating Hillary Clintons voter numbers to sway public opinion away from Bernie Sanders. The race is much closer between her and Senator Sanders. Do NOT believe what the media is telling you! California....please VOTE on Tuesday!

Folger Shakespeare Library: Shakespeare Unlimited

For most of us, “seeing Shakespeare” means experiencing live actors in a theater. But for more than 100 years, Shakespeare’s words, plots, settings and characters have also been brought to life on film. Shakespeare on film has never been like Shakespeare on stage. In the earliest years of the medium, it simply couldn’t be. Then, as film matured, directors realized that the medium offered new ways to tells Shakespeare’s stories that were impossible to reproduce on stage. Along the way, trends, like multiplex theaters, the rise of independent films, and teen comedies, and directors from Orson Welles to Laurence Olivier to Julie Taymor and Joss Whedon have reshaped and reimagined Shakespeare. Our guest, Sam Crowl, is a professor of English at Ohio University. He’s also the author of "A Norton Guide to Shakespeare and Film," "Shakespeare at the Cineplex," and "Shakespeare Observed."
