In today's episode I encourage you to use witchcraft to overthrow the capitalist, colonialist patriarchy! Or in other words, I teach you to work with the moon cycle in a way that embraces focusing our attention and work both outward AND inward, honoring both work and rest, pushing and playing, challenging ourselves and deeply replenishing ourselves. I give you a quick framework for a mini ritual at every phase of the moon cycle, and a bigger overview of how to work with the energy of the moon AND your own energy and inner wisdom. Working with the moon means we both get to push hard for our goals and dreams, AND practice excellent self care and heal our inner selves. We don't have to do it all AT ONCE and we don't have to sacrifice one for the other. I also introduce the Monday Moon Magick and Meditation Club, which you can learn more about by visiting https://tinyurl.com/mondaymoon   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! Why do so many women feel a powerful craving for surrender in the bedroom but hold themselves back? How do modern ideals shape our desires and fears in intimate dynamics? In this episode, I dive deep into the often taboo topic of domination and submission in sexuality, exploring how contrary to a common opinion, these dynamics can lead to profound bliss, healing, and self-intimacy. Please join us as we celebrate the joy of human connections, the power of words, and the importance of staying true to one's core values in the journey of personal growth. We discuss Jay's journey from Mama Gena’s program as the beginning of identifying her true desires, beyond just sexuality, leading to a significant breakup and a redefined understanding of relationships. She shares her shift from being a straight, monogamous woman to embracing identities like polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, and kinky, revealing the profound changes and personal growth that followed. Venturing further, we explore the realm of non-romantic, intimate spiritual partnerships, diving into the challenges of defining and understanding these unique connections. Jay discusses her bold six-month celibacy experiment aimed at achieving emotional and nervous system sobriety. She details the journey’s constraints, including avoiding sexual play and genital contact while still engaging in certain kink scenes. Together, we examine the potential benefits of this personal experiment, emphasizing self-exploration and the importance of setting boundaries for a focused and introspective path. Finally, we shift our focus to the critical aspect of integration and self-awareness in personal development. Reflecting on various courses and teachings, such as BDSM practices, shamanic kink, and urban tantra, we highlight the value of integrating this knowledge into one’s life. Today's episode is different than our usual focus on a superficial level (since we're discussing an entrepreneur building a business around sugar dating and not DTC or ecommerce). But in fact, this conversation is actually a deeper exploration of some of the themes we've explored on this podcast and on my TikTok for over a year: women & money, what true "empowerment" means, and the narratives we as a society construct around women that are stigmatizing or critical, and the importance of challenging them by being authentic to our own desires. Christina Kim is a creator, sugar dating educator, entrepreneur, and community builder. She is also the founder of Shadowbanned, an apparel brand for creators taking risks & being provocative that is on a mission to challenge societal & cultural norms and champion inclusivity of voices. Welcome to the final episode for 2022.How are you? I mean, really how are you?I know it's cliché, but my goodness we have all been through a lot over the last three years. And this has created a sense of one thing after another, after another. As we pause at the end of another year, I invite you to reflect and think about our needs vs what feeds us. This concept has been presented to me again recently in the book Unbound by Kasia Urbaniak. Come with me as I explore and offer prompting questions in this solo episode. Talking about:Expectations of us alongside subtle power dynamics. How we can unbind and free ourselves to actually get what we most need. The balance of our mothering, giving, nurturing instincts and supporting what feeds our soul, heart and sense of self at the same time.Grieving when we are not needed anymore, the seasons that ebb and flow and how that can present its own challenges. Celebrating all we have done and who we are becoming, as we recognise and love our own needs alongside those of others.Thank you for spending time with me today and for a wide range of Podcast episodes in 2022. One of the most common experiences of women wanting to change something in their health is the uncomfortable feeling of either not “fitting in” with her old group, whether friends or family, disliking making change because of the questions it brings, or just not wanting to draw attention to being different. When we show up to a negotiation (or any conversation for that matter) it's not just the words we say that make the ask, our body language does some speaking of its own too.    If we're making a big, bold ask, but our body language screams small - our words won't pack as much of a punch, making it very confusing for the person on the other end.    How do we create more alignment between our words and our body language? How do we make sure our confidence is equally heard and felt?    In this episode, I share a golden nugget from Kasia Urbaniak's Unbound: A Woman's Guide to Power and how to fine-tune our non-verbal communication skills.      Three Things You'll Learn In This Episode    - How to enter a negotiation with dominant energy How do we make sure the energy of influence is going outward to the person we're making the ask to, instead of being internalized?   - Why body language carries into our voices In a virtual setup, can our body language be palpable even if it's not visible?   - How to exude confidence and influence Why is it so easy to grant the request of a charismatic person and how do we tap into that energy?

Emily Trinkaus and I recorded this episode on the Sagittarius Solar Eclipse of December 4th (find the chart here), the last of 2021, and the last on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis for another decade. We covered as much of the current cosmic weather as we had time for, starting with the Eclipse itself and how to work with it, and the themes of all six eclipses along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis of the past year and a half. We'll be doing another podcast episode in January to talk about the changes in the new year! Kristine mentioned her upcoming class "Twelve Seasons: The Signs of the Zodiac" on December 10th as well as her deep dive into "The Beauty of Venus" on December 15th, just in time for the Venus retrograde. You can purchase Emily's recorded insights into today's Solar Eclipse; her webinar all about the powerful Venus retrograde in Capricorn beginning December 26th; or her recorded class on the major tension-producing astrology of the year, the Saturn-Uranus square, which goes exact for the third and final time on December 24th. The Power with Money course we both mentioned was with Kasia Urbaniak, highly recommended! Follow Kristine on Patreon to be the first to know about upcoming episodes. In this episode, I was delighted (and a little bit awestruck) to speak to Kasia Urbaniak, the Founder, and CEO of The Academy, a school that teaches women the foundations of power and influence. Kasia's perspective on power is unique. Over the course of nearly 20 years, she has worked as a professional Dominatrix, practiced Taoist alchemy in one of the oldest female-led monasteries in China, and obtained dozens of certifications in different disciplines, including Medical Qi Gong and Systemic Constellations. Since founding The Academy in 2013, Kasia has taught over 4,000 women to radically increase their power, agency, and influence.  Using practical tools, The Academy graduates transform their lives by breaking the york of “Good Girl Conditioning” They step boldly into leadership roles within their relationships, families, workplaces, and wider communities. They become adept in the art of verbal self-defense against bulldozing, bullying, and gaslighting. Women are the most critical, yet least represented voices in determining the future of our world and there's never been a better time than now to have women participating in fully meaningful conversations with as many people as possible. It can start here for you, so join Kasia and me as we discuss how you can liberate yourself from conditioned responses and learned behaviors to unleash the true power of female nature within you and live a full life in accordance with your desires. Kasia Urbaniak spent nearly 20 years studying to become a Taoist nun in one of the oldest woman-led monasteries in China. To pay for her spiritual quest, she worked as a high-paid dominatrix in New York City.  It sounds jarring. But she found these seemingly paradoxical paths carried her to the same truth: Power is attainable, if women can learn how to wield their influence. In 2013, Urbaniak started The Academy, a school that teaches women how to reclaim their power in the workforce, their families and wider communities. Out of that experience comes her new book, “Unbound: A Woman’s Guide to Power.” Wednesday, MPR News host Kerri Miller talked with Urbaniak about how good-girl conditioning and “invisible labor” undermines women’s power, and how women can learn to own their influence.  Guest: Kasia Urbaniak is the author of the new book, “Unbound: A Woman’s Guide to Power.” To listen to the full conversation you can use the audio player above. In this episode, Kasia and I discuss the following: The so-called “Good Girl Conditioning” as a consequence of a social standard: Only good girls get married, so I need to be “good!” The belief that self-attack (“oh, I'm so stupid for doing that!”) helps us correct our behavior, when it actually reinforces it. Some very powerful techniques that may help us rebuild meaningful relationships. How to ask for what you want and get it! In this immensely engaging conversation, I'm talking with Kasia Urbaniak, the founder and CEO of The Academy - A School of Power for Women, and author of the book Unbound: A Woman's Guide To Power. Kasia brings a truly unique approach to her work, which is teaching women the foundations of power and influence and is supporting them to step into leadership positions in their relationships, families, workplaces and wider communities. Over the course of nearly 20 years, she has worked as professional Dominatrix, practiced Taoist alchemy in one of the oldest female-led monasteries in China and obtained dozens of certifications in different disciplines, including Medical Qi Gong and Systemic Constellations. In this episode Kasia reveals some of the invisible but significant ways that ‘good girl' conditioning shows up in our life, and how this can lead to so much of a woman's energy going into physical, emotional and energetic labor in a very unconscious way. The result? Often exhaustion, frustration, feeling unseen and unacknowledged and not having rightful time to tend to passion projects and personal goals. We discuss the meaning of power, and Kasia offers very interesting insights into how woman can use their voice to respond to power imbalance and recover their sovereignty and decision making capacities. Along with many other fascinating and exciting explorations, we also talk about the pitfalls of aspiring to be selfless, and how being selfish in a way that feels good actually better equips us to see the positive impacts we desire.

Paul Young“BDSM Culture Can Make Women More Assertive In Work, Relationships” By Pallavi Prasad found at https://theswaddle.com/bdsm-women-positive-effects-confidence Published June 28, 2019“I don’t know how to explain it … but I have more clarity the morning after. It’s come to a point where my partner and I ensure we engage in a play scene before any big meetings I have. It really gives me the boost I need.”R.P. is a 32-year-old consultant living in Mumbai. When she joined a high-powered consulting firm seven years ago, she found herself struggling to keep up with the pace and make herself heard.“Around the same time, I got into a relationship with a man who was into BDSM [bondage and discipline; dominance and submission; sadism and masochism] and kink play. He introduced me to it and I instantly took a liking to it,” R.P. says. “Surprisingly, I found myself gravitating towards the role of the Dominant. Within the confines of a loving and safe space with a partner I trusted, I was able to assert myself in ways I couldn’t outside my bedroom. Slowly, I began to notice that especially on days after we had engaged in a play scene, I would feel more focussed, composed and clear-headed. It was almost as if the satisfied feeling I felt in bed, in that position of power, flowed over the next day. I feel like I know more about myself — my mind and my body.”According to recent research by Dr. Brad Sagarin, a professor of psychology at Northern Illinois University, kinks such as BDSM alter the blood flow pattern in the brain, creating altered states of consciousness. For those who assume the dominant position in BDSM, these mental states are called “flow” — the term popularized by positive psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi. Flow is defined as an “optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.” It’s a state of hyperawareness, laser focus, and euphoria, which resonates with R.P.’s experience. “I just feel more brave, if that makes sense,” she says. Sagarin’s research confirms just that. The study found that people who regularly experience flow as an effect of dominant BDSM roles report improved concentration, clarity about goals, decision-making skills, and listening and intuitive skills. They also demonstrate lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, less self-consciousness and less aversion to risk. The study also found those taking on submissive roles in BDSM play experience “transient hypofrontality,” a peaceful, dreamlike state, often compared to a runner’s high or described as being “in the zone.” Creativity and productivity peak in this state of decreased self-awareness.R.P. explains how her female friends from the BDSM community have discussed this before: “Sometimes when we share — and we’re all doms — our experiences with each other, we all agree that we are in a great mood throughout the next day and feel more energized and creative. It’s like a strange high, knowing what we did the previous night.”People who experience either of these altered mental states report higher levels of happiness, creativity, and productivity for up to three days after, according to research by Harvard University professor Teresa Amabile. They also report transferring the focus, confidence, concentration, and decision-making skills of BDSM into everyday life. It is no wonder, then, that people who engage in BDSM are less neurotic, more extraverted, more open to new experiences, more conscientious, less sensitive to rejection, and have higher subjective well-being outside the bedroom, according to a 2016 study on the psychological characteristics of BDSM practitioners.Additionally, partners who engage in sadomasochism are more connected and more intimate than those who do not engage in it, according to a 2009 study published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior. The honest expression of one’s fantasies and desires, and consensually, respectfully and safely executing that as a BDSM scene, requires a high level of communication and trust between partners — a feature regularly absent from non-kinky or “vanilla” sex, as the BDSM community calls it.“My boyfriend and I have definitely become much closer since we started exploring this space together. We don’t lie to each other in our relationship — white lies not included, and even those we mostly confess — because the trust between us is the same, inside and outside the bedroom,” says R.P. “There’s very little drama and if we ever fight, we usually resolve it by talking to each other. But it almost never reaches that point because every day, in a way, we tell each other about what it is that we want from the other person and what we don’t. It’s like learning how to negotiate with another person.”Women have traditionally been discouraged from developing such open and clear communication skills. In 2018, former dominatrix, Kasia Urbaniak started The Academy, a school to teach women the “foundations of power and influence” via month-long female empowerment sessions in New York. Speaking to The Guardian, she says: “It’s about the communications that women carry that either make them go speechless, or afraid of coming across as too bossy or too needy.” Urbaniak explains that by being in the dominant role of BDSM, women learn to project their strength and attention outward. It’s a skill they can then use to flip the power dynamic in the outside world, where women are forced to turn their attention inward, with self-doubt and over-analysis.A barrage of recent research hints at the effects of empowerment via BDSM: people with sexual kinks or fetishes, such as BDSM, group sex, or role-play, have better mental health, less psychological stress, higher self-worth, and more satisfying relationships. Not everyone is convinced of BDSM’s benefits, however. The feminist sex wars over BDSM’s potential for women’s empowerment rage on, with one side seeing BDSM as a way to explore and enable female sexuality, and the other side seeing it as yet another manifestation of the hyper-masculine, patriarchal order’s violent idea of sex. But, as black lesbian poet and feminist writer Audrey Lorde puts it in a personal essay, embracing the erotic fosters a deep and irreplaceable “self-connection and fearless underlining of [one’s] capacity for joy.” Released of social context, when examined in individual’s lives and homes, BDSM seems to allow, well, release. And that kind of release writes Lorde, “flows through and colors my life with a kind of energy that heightens and sensitizes and strengthens all my experience.”Show notes can be found at https://kuldrinskrypt.com/227  Thank you: Show Producers:Pro Producer($100/month): LilyxChaosx. Executive Producers ($25/month): Jeremiah, ArcaneD.G.R. & violetaurelia,  Feline_Rouge, babylove2269, and FaisilSr. Producers ($10/month): Matt, Roxiebear, xEmeraldxWolfx, JayKay, SortOutTheKinks, Delilah, SirMutualRespect, Master Gabriel, and Theod123Producers ($5/month): Kainsin, ThatPlace: Oklahoma City, olive_eyes, Seine (Zine), and AlexandriaJr. Producers ($1/month): K-2SO, BuffaloDom84, LxSoumis, Hayley, Morgan, knot_the_daddy, and RaefeIf you would like to become one of our show producers go to our website, https://kuldrinskrypt.com/support to get that information.BDSM Contracts for the donation of their beautiful 25 page soft and hardbound M/s and D/s contracts.. http://bdsmcontracts.org coupon code: kuldrin20 for a 20% discount on all purchases.https://www.daycollars.com is a place for personalized handmade collars, leashes, cuffs and belts.http://whippingstripes.com my personal maker of leather and paracord impact toys. https://tporridtimber.comNext Time on the Krypt:??? Is there any truth to claim that the mother daughter relationship is more fraught than any other dynamic? Psychologist Professor Terri Apter explains how conflict can help mothers and daughters renew their bond. Mother and daughter team Sally and Sarah Kettle advocate shared experience as a way to strengthen family ties, something they found while rowing across the Atlantic together for four months, and comedian Sindhu Vee talks about the unique features of a mother's expectations. We also hear how, despite the best of intentions, many mothers can disempower their daughters in order to thrive in a patriarchy. Author and women's rights activist Elif Shafak warns about the ways daughters are taught to blend in, especially in cultures which are more gendered. Dr Leyla Hussein has had first-hand experience of female genital mutilation, and explains how women have become the foot soldiers of a patriarchal system that promotes such practises. Writer and matriarchy scholar Vicki Noble describes how the mother daughter dynamic is different in societies where women wield power, and life coach Kasia Urbaniak, who teaches women the foundations of power and influence, explains what a mother can do to empower her daughter. Hongkong - bogactwo technologii i ekonomii. Nic dziwnego, to światowy gigant finansowy. Zdawałoby się pomyśleć - gospodarka nasycona. Nic bardziej mylnego. W obliczu nowych technologii to słowo możemy wymazać. To zupełnie zmienia koncepcję rynku.
