During the last twenty-five years, Dr. Kayal built one of the most successful multi-specialty orthopaedic medical practices in the United States, and in 2021, in one of the most substantial health care transactions ever to close, he partnered with RWJBarnabas Health, the largest and most comprehensive health care system in New Jersey. He gives all his thanks to God for his talents and skills and prays his practice will always be used to honor, glorify, and exalt his awesome Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Specializing in partial and total joint replacements, sports medicine, and arthroscopy, Dr. Kayal knows the importance of staying abreast of the latest technologies. By keeping his finger on the pulse of innovation, he can provide beneficial treatments to help patients recover quickly. “What you'll find here aren't just state-of-the-art facilities. It's an entire philosophy,” says Dr. Kayal. With both New Jersey and New York locations, the award-winning practice prides itself on offering advanced orthopaedic treatments in a compassionate environment. As a patient, “you aren't just a number,” says Dr. Kayal. “We're focused on building lifelong relationships, accelerating rehabilitation, and inspiring quality of life. Besides the Kayal Orthopaedic Center, Dr. Kayal's practice includes centers for Pain & Spine, Rheumatology, Chiropractic & Physical Therapy, bone metabolism, and advanced, high-resolution, cross-sectional medical imaging. These facilities allow him to provide a wider range of musculoskeletal treatments and therapies. “I believe our patients do their homework and choose this practice because of our training, skill, experience, and innovation,” Dr. Kayal says. “But what they also find from us is patience, compassion, and a genuine concern and commitment to each and every one of them.” The Kayal Orthopaedic Center is also dedicated to staying abreast of the latest treatments and technologies in each specialist's field of expertise. Years ago, Dr. Kayal and his team of orthopaedic surgeons began using the Stryker Mako robot, a sophisticated instrument that allows for greater precision and control during partial and total hip and knee replacement surgeries. This customized joint replacement technology, using the Mako robot, in combination with high-resolution cross-sectional medical CT scan imaging and Stryker's proprietary software, ensures accurate sizing, placement, fit, balance, alignment, and rotation of installed components, much akin to being fitted with a "tailor-made suit." At Kayal Orthopaedic Center, this Mako robotic technology has also been used in combination with the minimally invasive direct anterior approach (DAA) for hip replacement surgery. “You can be certain that the Kayal team has done its homework and is ready to provide our patients with the best treatment approaches available,” says Dr. Kayal. The philosophy of Kayal Orthopaedic Center is to provide every patient with the pain-free, active lifestyle they deserve. With decades of orthopaedic surgery experience, Dr. Robert Kayal and his staff provide comprehensive care that gives patients the one-on-one attention they need. Kayal Orthopaedic Center uses a patient-focused approach that has a proven track record of success. Dr. Kayal has built his practice around highly trained surgeons and specialists, innovative treatments, and state-of-the-art equipment. “Our philosophy is that the most beneficial service is the one that offers the best outcome for each unique patient,” Dr. Kayal says. “We offer everything our patients may need under one roof,” says Dr. Kayal. As of November 2024, Robert A. Kayal, MD, FAAOS has 666 five-star ratings on healthgrades.com. On the practice's website, Dr. Kayal says patients aren't just a number and that the office's patient experience is second to none. “We're focused on building lifelong relationships, accelerating rehabilitation, and inspiring quality of life,” says Dr. Kayal. Kayal Orthopaedic Center is a proud sponsor and supporter of many local non-profit organizations. Furthermore, the office also works to support local and state police departments by sponsoring golf outings and providing meals to the men and women in blue. Gordon Chang, Contributor, Gatestone Institute I had a fascinating conversation with Gordon Chang about the relative quiet that is now in evidence after the election of Donald Trump in the Western Pacific, whether it is likely to persist, whether it suggests that the Chinese leadership is so beset by problems at home that it is unwilling to risk conflict with the United States, especially under the leadership of someone like Donald Trump, and the importance of ending our practice of enabling the Chinese Communist Party with technology and resources and other help including to the People's Liberation Army emanating from our country. Robert Joseph, Senior Scholar at the National Institute for Public Policy I spoke with Robert Joseph about the threats that we face in the nuclear arena and what it will take to deter such threats from being actualized by any of several hostile powers that are feverishly building up their own nuclear forces for the purposes; it seems quite clear, of attacking our friends, our interests, and possibly our own people. We also discussed the extent to which we need to modernize our nuclear weapons, as well as augment deterrence with effective space-based missile defenses.

Welcome to Episode 1538, What is wine communication in 2022? with Robert Joseph, moderated by Stevie Kim This is the wine2wine Business Forum 2022 Series. The sessions are recorded and uploaded on Italian Wine Podcast. wine2wine Business Forum is an international wine business forum, held annually in Verona Italy since 2014. The event is a key reference point for wine producers and a diverse variety of wine professionals eager to develop and grow their wine business worldwide. About today' session: In 2002, like wine producers, book publishers and authors largely relied heavily on traditional critics and reviewers. Today, they also have TikTok, Instagram and peer reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. The #Booktok tag has been used over 39,000,000,000 times. TikTok influencers are now becoming more important to book publishing than most classic reviewers. Barnes & Nobles shops in the US now have BookTok shelves. Top Instagram book influencers, @everlastingcharm, @myfriendsarefiction and @hayaisreading all have over 100,000 followers, far more potential book buyers than are ever likely to read a traditional newspaper review. Wine in China has adopted this shift more rapidly than in the west. Wang Shenghan, aka Lady Penguin, a 33-year-old leading wine influencer, has built an e-commerce platform with revenues of over $35m. But it is not just influencers. A Vivino marketing campaign can be more cost effective today than promoting a Wine Spectator score. Many in the industry are uncomfortable with these trends, but ignoring them may be a mistake. Former award-winning author and critic and now industry analyst, Robert Joseph, takes a level-headed look at the rapid way wine communication is changing, reveals the findings from new research, and ways many producers may need to adapt. More about today's speaker: Robert Joseph Robert is a wine business consultant and an editorial consultant for Meininger's Wine Business International, which he helped to launch in 2006. In 1983, after living in Burgundy for five years, he launched Wine International magazine; set up the International Wine Challenge; became wine writer for the Sunday Telegraph and wrote The Wine Lists, the first of his 25 books. He has chaired and launched over 50 wine competitions in Asia, Europe and the UK. Robert has been in Who's Who since 2013, and awards he has received include the Jacob's Creek ‘Golden Vine'; ‘the Best Wine Guide in the World'; the Glenfiddich (twice); The Wine Guild of the United Kingdom Premier; the Marques de Caceres. He regularly appears on television and radio, and has lectured at the Wine & Spirits Educational Trust, Burgundy and Sonoma Wine Business Schools. Joseph is one of the trio behind Hugh Kevin & Robert Wines whose le Grand Noir range now sell over 3.8m bottles per year in over 60 countries. The Cognitive Crucible is a forum that presents different perspectives and emerging thought leadership related to the information environment. The opinions expressed by guests are their own, and do not necessarily reflect the views of or endorsement by the Information Professionals Association. During this episode, Dave Maxwell discusses the importance of human rights upfront, influence campaigns, the pursuit of a free and unified Korea, resting on a foundation of deterrence and defense in the context of countering North Korea. Research Questions: Dave suggests technologies be developed which help Western governments access and penetrate North Korea. Also, he believes the potential succession in North Korea is an important research area, as well as mapping out the entire human terrain of key personalities and communicators. He also asks: how can we use defectors and escapees to help with the above research projects and bridge the North and the South. Finally, Dave thinks these “big 5” questions related to North Korea are important: What do we want to achieve in Korea? What is the acceptable durable political arrangement that will protect, serve, and advance US and ROK/US Alliance interests on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia? Who does Kim fear more: The US or the Korean people in the north? (Note it is the Korean people armed with information knowledge of life in South Korea) Do we believe that Kim Jong-un has abandoned the seven decades old strategy of subversion, coercion-extortion (blackmail diplomacy), and use of force to achieve unification dominated by the Guerrilla Dynasty and Gulag State in order to ensure the survival of the mafia like crime family cult known as Kim family regime? In support of that strategy do we believe that Kim Jong-un has abandoned the objective to split the ROK/US Alliance and get US forces off the peninsula? Has KJU given up his divide to conquer strategy - divide the alliance to conquer the ROK? Welcome to episode 1100, in which host Polly Hammond interviews Nicole Rolet, this week on Uncorked. This week, we are joined by the lovely and talented Nicole Rolet, CEO and driving force behind Chene Bleu. We forego wine-talk and instead jump directly into the blood, sweat, and tears of building a modern luxury brand. From solving spreadsheets and finding the right partners, to acting strategically and overcoming fear of rejection, we're talking about the non-obvious demands (and rewards!) of our industry. Let's get into it. More about today's guest: Nicole Rolet Nicole left her career in International finance and David Rockefeller's geopolitical think tanks, to join her husband Xavier and his family in the Rhone to restore a historical vineyard, derelict but magnificently wild, and its abandoned Medieval prior – a hidden gem in the heart of a UNESCO biosphere. Chêne Bleu wines were launched in 2010 to critical acclaim. She remains deeply committed to reconciling business success, social responsibility, ethical and sustainable practices, pushing the boundaries of sustainability. Knighted as Chevalier de Tastevin in Burgundy and the Echansonnerie in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, she co-founded the International Grenache Symposium and Association in 2010, then a wine school, and founded FM4FW in 2017. Welcome to episode 897 in which host Polly Hammond interviews Jim Morris in this episode of Uncorked Show notes: Today we are joined by Jim Morris, Vice President of Guest relations at Charles Krug, Napa's oldest winery. Jim has made it his mission to remove the pretension of the wine business, leading the way with a cultural program that includes wine, art, food, and history. And he's certainly succeeding. From a jam packed virtual event schedule during Covid, to a remarkably full schedule in 2021, and now, onto the second consecutive year of unparalleled event scheduling, including the Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley. Learn more about todays guest: Vice President of Estate Management and Guest Relations of Charles Krug Winery ,home of the oldest winery in Napa and oldest tasting room in California Morris' tenure in the wine industry spans nearly two decades and includes a wide array of winery activations, Direct to Consumer management programs, and sales supervision. Most recently, he was tasked with overseeing the opening of Flanagan Winery's Healdsburg tasting room and their existing winery's full-scale renovation. Prior to that project, the Washington native was the lead in launching the tasting room experience of MacPhail Family Wines at The Barlow market complex in Sebastopol. Beyond those previous ventures, Morris has played an important role in helping to build complete winery experiences from the ground up, as he was instrumental in commencing the Direct to Consumer programs at St. Anne's Crossing Winery and Truett Hurst Winery respectively. Additionally, he has been key in helping improve the profitability and appeal of both Michel-Schlumberger and Martin Family Vineyards, which saw significant increases in revenue and traffic during his tenure at each winery. “My goal is to create a memorable wine experience for everyone who visits us,” shares Jim. “At Charles Krug, we have an obligation to share our remarkable legacy and lead the way for Napa to become a cultural hub through wine, art, food, and history.” And Jim insists that it is his mission to remove the pretension of the wine business. “Wine is complex enough. When you are starting as a student of this industry, there are really only two wines made in the world — yummy and yucky.” Learn more: https://www.charleskrug.com/ https://twitter.com/sonomawineguy More about the host Polly Hammond: Polly is Founder and CEO of 5forests. Welcome to episode 868 in which host Polly Hammond interviews David James in this episode of Uncorked Show notes: Coming from a background in fashion photography and cognitive psychology (what a pairing!), David James creates what I think is one of the most dynamic social media accounts on Instagram today — despite himself being a non-drinker. More about today's guest: “I have tried so many times to give up taking pictures and do something honourable with my life. But it keeps crawling back. I think I am cursed to do it.” David James has been working professionally in the photography biz since 1999. The result is one of the most dynamic winery social media you'll find on Instagram. “ Learn more: winery site: https://mistycovewines.com/blog/ignore-the-subject personal site: https://www.marlboroughlights.com/about Insta: https://www.instagram.com/mistycovewines/ More about the host Polly Hammond: Polly is Founder and CEO of 5forests. Welcome to episode 849 in which host Polly Hammond interviews Lyndsay Dyk in this episode of Uncorked With a growing list of communication channels available to us and a shift in at-home experiential marketing, what does PR even mean these days? In today's episode, we talk to Lyndsay Dyk, a Portland-based publicist who specializes in wine and food PR. She'll give us the skinny on everything from influencers to instagram to radio, with some passionate millennial pleas thrown in for good measure. More about today's guest: Born and raised in Oregon's Willamette Valley, Lyndsay grew up immersed in the legends and landscapes of the American West. Her sense for a good story (and a good time) was honed while pursuing varied careers and studies in literary publishing, specialty coffee, creative writing, and public relations. In 2019, Lyndsay left her role at the book publisher Timber Press in order to return to the hospitality community as a publicist at the Portland firm Little Green Pickle. There, she supported the people whose stories she was most passionate about—winemakers, chefs, hospitality innovators, and other creatives. For clients like these, Lyndsay has conceptualized and managed media events and brand activations up and down the West Coast. She's introduced seasoned wine writers to emerging producers and local influencers to newly opened restaurants. She has created imaginative virtual tasting kits for top-tier media that begged to be unboxed on Instagram and resulted in placements from Thrillist to Reader's Digest. In her free time, Lyndsay enjoys gardening with her husband and listening to Dolly Parton, preferably at the same time. She's most proud of her WSET Level 2 Award with Merit and winning the 2008 Clackamas County Fair Grand Champion Market Lamb.
