Home Built EJ25 Swapped MiniRex: A Subaru-Powered, Mid-Engined Mini MasterpieceUse ‘PODCAST75' for $75 off your first HPA course here: https://hpcdmy.co/hpa-tuned-inWe've seen our fair share of engine-swapped Minis, from Honda's B and K series to Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engines, but this EJ25-powered Mini takes things to the next level. Steve from @DutchysGarage has crafted something truly unique: a 1961 Morris Mini transformed into a mid-engined, RWD beast, all thanks to the heart of a 2010 Subaru WRX EJ25.This 'MiniRex' stole the show for us in the World Time Attack Challenge carpark, with Steve personally handling 99% of the build himself —impressive work, especially given Australia's strict vehicle regulations, which was one of the reasons for using an older pre-1973 chassis. The impressive 1-man-band craftsmanship and road-legal engineering make this build a real standout, combining eye-catching aesthetics (who doesn't love a sunroof!) with serious performance potential.Key Build Details:1961 Morris Mini – Mid-engined, RWD conversionSubaru EJ25 engine: Essentially stock, producing 250hp and 400Nm of torqueHaltech Elite 2500 ECU with an iC7 dash, sensors, and wiring harnessProcess West intercooler for added cooling performance3.9 final drive ratio for optimal gearing and acceleration of the 15" wheelsMazda MX5/Miata suspension, hubs, and subframe integrationViking coil-oversSubaru inner CVs, custom axles, Mazda outer CVs2003 BMW Mini panoramic sunroof – because style matters too!An unbelievable power-to-weight ratio, making this Mini a true sleeperIf you're into unconventional engine swaps and unique performance builds, this one is definitely for you. This week, Senior Editor Nic de Sena has just returned from the sunny South Africa launch of the new Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition. There are a host of upgrades from the standard Norden 901, and Nic gives us his thoughts on those, and how they affect the bike's overall performance off-road and on. You must be familiar with the iconic Suzuki Hayabusa, one of the most exciting sportbikes ever made. For 2023, the Hayabusa is even faster, and the most technologically advanced version ever. Visit suzukicycles.com to learn more, or of course get down to your local Suzuki dealer and check it out in person. Pictures do NOT do it justice! In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with Joe Begelfer. Joe was born in the Ukraine back when it was part of the old USSR, and he came to the US with his parents as a small child. Joe's passion is for vintage and classic BMW boxer-twin motorcycles, and his collection includes some rare birds indeed. Joe is a real rider, and every one of the bikes in his collection is a real rider too. Joe's prodigious knowledge and infectious enthusiasm about these quirky, older machines is fun to listen to. This week, Editor Don Williams somewhat reluctantly rides the Beta Xtrainer 300 off-road bike. The Beta is a bit of an odd beast. It's a not-quite-full-sized 2-stroke dirt bike, designed to be a little less intimidating than a full-sized machine. Previous years' versions were hampered by less-than-stellar suspension. So a highly skeptical Don rode the 2023 model to see if any of the issues have been addressed. ======================== We're all familiar with the Suzuki Hayabusa—one of the most iconic sportbikes ever. However, the latest 2023 version is now faster, and easily the most technologically advanced Hayabusa ever. Check it out at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more—you won't be disappointed! ======================== In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with Ashley Lusky, co-founder of Kickstands Up, the one place where riders of every style can connect to all the motorcycle rides, races, meetups and rallies in their area. Ashley is a long-time off-road rider, yet she still doesn't consider herself an expert. She recently returned from a serious ADV trip to Baja, California, and she and Teejay chat about the challenges for young women learning to ride off-road. So from all of us here at Motos and Friends—we hope you enjoy this episode! We love your feedback! This week, Associate Editor Gary Ilminen gleefully ventured forth from his snow-swamped home in Wisconsin to Austin, Texas, where he had the opportunity to take the all-new Indian Sport Chief for a long ride. The new Sport Chief is a slimmer, cruiser, and as its name implies, it has a definite sporting side to it. =============== Have you looked at the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa yet? One of the most iconic sportbikes ever, it's faster and the most technologically advanced Hayabusa ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. =============== In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with Steve Sims. He's a well known motivational speaker, coach, and author of 'Go for Stupid; The Art of Achieving Ridiculous Goals'. Steve is best known as the ‘sky's the limit' fixer who provided elite concierge services to the world's wealthiest and most influential people. He laughingly describes those 25 years as “spending billionaires' money to give them more interesting cocktail hour stories”. He's a serious motorcycle rider who has a fascinating set of stories to tell. So sit back, and prepare to be entertained! **Episode one has some production quality.....challenges. These have been fixed for future episodes to give you the rich and deep podcast quality you expect.** In the very first ever episode of The Bottom Sprocket Podcast, we get straight to the point and start offending unexpecting and undeserving motorcycle owners. We take aim at some of the most hated motorcycles as well as some of the most beloved motorcycles you can get your hands on. We discuss why people love them, why they are wrong, and why things have gotten this way. Notable mentions include the Triumph Bonneville, Suzuki Hayabusa and even the absolute peach of a motorcycle, the Suzuki SV650. Let us know what we missed in the comments. Check out the video companion from our live recording on Spite's YouTube Channel, Spites Corner. Do you part. Don't be lazy! Stay on the trail, go over logs not around them, check your tire pressure before you ride, and like and subscribe to our new podcast. Comments are nice and we read every one so do that as well but please be nice to use. We are fragile bikers.
In our first segment, Senior Editor Nic De Sena has just returned from Jerez, Spain, where he was riding the new Triumph 765 R and RS models. These bikes have had significant upgrades and Nic got to ride them both on the track and on the surrounding roads. Have you looked at the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa yet? One of the most iconic sportbikes ever, it's faster and the most technologically advanced Hayabusa ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with Patrick ‘Buzz' Hayes. He's a life long motorcycle rider and powersports photographer, and he is now involved in the raising of funds and the production of an upcoming documentary movie about Lilly Farrow—the founder of A.D. Farrow, America's oldest Harley-Davidson dealer. ‘Iron Lilly' will bring the incredible story of Lilly to the big screen, highlighting the trials, tribulations, and ultimate amazing success of a lady who overcame such obstacles to take care of her family. In our first segment, Editor Don Williams has just returned from Sardinia, Italy, where he was riding the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE. This is the all new, upper-middleweight ADV machine that features—among many other things—the new Suzuki 775cc parallel-twin motor. This highly anticipated motorcycle from the big S has a lot of depth to talk about, and Don reviews the bike completely, giving us his impressions both off-pavement and on. ================ Have you looked at the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa yet? One of the most iconic sportbikes ever, it's faster and the most technologically advanced Hayabusa ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. ================ Cat MacLeod, owner of Leod Escapes, gets to chat with Associate Editor Teejay Adams in our second segment. If you Google ‘hedonism', it doesn't actually mention Leod Escapes, but judging by Cat's description of some of his magical MotoGP track-riding tours and associated antics, Google really should include it. Can you think of any better way to spend two weeks than three days of riding a legendary MotoGP circuit, while being coached by World Superbike legend Troy Corser—and then getting to tour the local spectacular area, all the while, staying in upscale hotels and eating the best food? Cat is a great story-teller and he doesn't hold back. Fair warning: you probably should not have kids under 13 listening to this segment, so please be aware of that. As motorcycle people we're often accused of being ‘crazy'. I say: fair enough, we probably are. So have a listen to Cat Macleod, and go book yourself the trip of a lifetime. And no, we don't get paid anything to say that. We love your feedback! Associate Editor Kelly Callan has been commuting recently on the new Triumph Speed Twin 900. It's probably not anyone's first choice for a commuter bike, nor is it really a canyon sportbike either. So what's the point, and where does it fit? Kelly gives us her thoughts and impressions of riding this retro-styled machine. Have you looked at the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa yet? One of the most iconic sportbikes ever, it's faster and the most technologically advanced Hayabusa ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In our second segment Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with Mark ‘The Biker' Sloper—aka Mark Illuminati. This laughingly self-described ‘bionic neon sign-maker' who keeps accidentally electrocuting himself, is a successful artist recently named as art ambassador for the cabinet office, Great Britain. His punk-inspired pieces are held by both the late Queen Elizabeth and now US President Joe Biden. For us motorcycle peeps, ‘Biker Mark' is possibly better known as a motorcycle documentary movie Director and Producer. Projects such as ‘I, Superbiker' and ‘Speed is my Need' are now include a new movie: NW200 The Real Road Race. This one follows American force-of-nature ‘Lady Racer', Patrica Fernandez, as she attempts the bone-chilling Irish road race—the North West 200. These movies are all available on Netflix; check your local region for availability. Self-styled “I'm just a hooligan”, Biker Mark's creative energy and zest for living dangerously, comes across with each new revelation. So, from everyone here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode. Check out NW200—The Real Road Race trailer here. Hello everyone and welcome once again to Motos and Friends, a weekly podcast brought to you by the editors of Ultimate Motorcycling. My name is Arthur Coldwells. I'm not sure if it's his first love on two wheels, but it is safe to say that Editor Don Williams is a dirt-bike nut. He rode competitive Trials for over 30 years, and he and his wife ride every weekend—and sometimes more on every type of off-road machine they can lay their hands on. He now tells us of his recent experiences on the Kawasaki KX250X—a cross country dirt bike that seems to work well. The guest segment of Motos and Friends is brought to you by the faster and most technologically advanced, 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa—one of the most iconic sportbikes ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In our second segment, Editor-at-Large Neale Bayly chats with Allan Karl, author of the book “Forks—A Quest for Culture, Cuisine, and Connection”. Allan went on a 3 year-long ride around the world, across 5 Continents and 35 Countries. Actually, that number is now up to 83 Countries. In this first part of the story, Neale and Allan chat about his motivations, and a few of the adventures—and mis-adventures—on his epic journey. So, from everyone here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode. Buy Allan's book on Amazon here
Associate Editor Teejay Adams recently attended the Yamaha Champions Riding School in Las Vegas, and she took with her the Yamaha XSR900 that she's been riding for a while. This is the retro-style version of the MT-09, and Teejay gives us her impressions of the bike, including her thoughts versus the XSR700 that she rode previously. The guest segment of Motos and Friends is brought to you by the faster and most technologically advanced, 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa—one of the most iconic sportbikes ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In our second segment, Teejay chats with Cait Maher, a contributing journalist at motorcycle.com and owner of a Yamaha TW200. The two ladies met at the recent launch of Kawasaki's dual sport KLX230s. Teejay is a total novice off-road. Cait however, although quite experienced in the dirt including her recent venture on the District 37 Barstow to Las Vegas dual-sport ride, still doesn't consider herself an expert. Both of these girls have a positive, upbeat attitude, and their fun, energetic outlook shines through. Cait is definitely a give-it-a-go type of personality. Her take on the various challenges, experiences and adventures that she's had make for fun listening.

Our first segment introduces you to the new Arch 1s. This latest, slightly more sporting American V-twin, adds to the original KRGT1 coming from the boutique manufacturer based in Hawthorne, Southern California. Senior Editor Nic de Sena rode through Malibu with Gard Hollinger, who co-founded Arch Motorcycle with his friend, Keanu Reeves. The 1s is a unique ride for sure, and Nic explains what makes the bike really stand out. For the entertaining story behind Arch Motorcycle from Gard Hollinger himself, you must listen to his podcast episode on Motos & Friends HERE -------------------- The guest segment of Motos and Friends is brought to you by the faster and most technologically advanced, 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa—visit your local dealer or suzukicycles.com to learn more. -------------------- In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with multiple Emmy award-winning writer, Producer, Director, and actor, Thom Beers. the former Chairman & CEO of Fremantle Media North America, responsible for American Idol and America's Got Talent. Thom's fertile imagination led to most of the really big reality TV shows such as 'Deadliest Catch' (now in its 17th season!), and many others. Of course for us in the motorcycle world, you'll be interested to hear the genesis and story of how he started the first real fabrication reality show ‘Monster Garage', that showcased Jesse James, and then how that led to ‘Biker Build Off' and the ‘Zombie Choppers' movie. You'd imagine that most of Thom's time is spent sitting behind a desk and on his phone. Not so. His intense stories of capturing much of the content for these shows make for some hair-raising listening. 2023 Arch 1s Review: The $128,000 Question

He gives us insight into whether it's worth spending the extra money on the Factory version, and also of course, whether this sporting Aprilia is really the motorcycle for you. ------------------ The next guest segment of Motos and Friends is brought to you by the faster and most technologically advanced, 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa—one of the most iconic sportbikes ever. Check it out in person at your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. ------------------ In this segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with (arguably) one of the most interesting Suzuki race riders of all time. the iconic RG500 alongside teammate double World Champion Barry Sheene. The two were almost as famous for their exploits off-track, as for their success on it. Those were the days! Steve also raced the Isle of Man TT for about ten years where he won 13 Silver Replicas, and got a podium finish. His insight into that particular brand of mayhem are fascinating. But there's waaay more to Steve Parrish than his motorcycle racing. He is also the most successful Semi-Truck racer ever, and, little known piece of useless trivia—he's my birthday twin: 24th February. He is a natural entertainer and you can't miss his recounting of the world's most entertaining—and arguably terrifying—double-decker bus ride ever. If any of you were actually on that hell-ride then we'd love to hear from you! From everyone here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode. Hello everyone and welcome once again to Motos and Friends, the weekly Podcast brought to you by the editorial team at Ultimate Motorcycling. My name is Arthur Coldwells. Motos and Friends is brought to you by the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa. Head into your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. The new 120th Anniversary Harleys have been announced today, and in this week's first segment Editor Don Williams takes us through the exciting updates to four models. The hero is probably the latest RoadGlide CVO with its spectacular 120th livery and badging. In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams chats with celebrated artist and philanthropist, Andrew Hewkin. Andrew chats about his life of unusual coincidences which have taken him on an unexpected and entertaining journey. Traveling through more than one hundred countries, Andrew captured the flavor and essence of the world. He takes us through a few of his hair-raising stories of travel and intrigue that he has expressed visually through over fifty years of his art. He is a regular contributor to Childline Rocks in his capacity as Cultural Attaché for the Sons of Royalty annual motorcycle ride, and paintings of Cuba, Marrakech, Mexico, and most recently Kerala in Southern India, have been auctioned off for the charity. His work has also contributed to ‘The Princes Trust', ‘Heart on my Sleeve', ‘Fight for Sight', ‘Cancer Trusts' and many others. Andrew is a supremely talented, kind, and fascinating man. So, from all of us here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode! Motos and Friends is brought to you by the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa. This legendary Sportbike is the quickest, most technologically advanced, and the most aerodynamic Hayabusa ever. Head into your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In this week's first segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams and I discuss the new Yamaha XSR700. That's the retro-styled version of the MT-07 that comes in any color you like—as long as it's black. Actually, it looks really good with the gold accents on the gas tank and the matching gold wheels. Teejay tells us whether there's a decent bike lurking under all that flash. In our second segment, I chat with Steve Rapp. An ex-factory Suzuki and Ducati rider in the Moto America race series, Steve, among many other accomplishments won the prestigious Daytona 200. He also competed with real credibility in a couple of MotoGP races for Richard Stanboli of Attack Performance. After retiring from professional road racing Steve became a commercial pilot, flying A320s out of LAX for Alaska Airlines. I suspect he's the only Airline Captain that's also an ex-professional motorcycle racer. Steve's calm, matter-of-fact delivery when talking about his high-speed escapades was interesting to say the least. Very impressive guy indeed. So, from all of us here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode. Hello everyone and welcome once again to Ultimate Motorcycling's weekly Podcast -- Motos and Friends. My name is Arthur Coldwells. Motos and Friends is brought to you by the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa. This legendary Sportbike is the quickest, most technologically advanced and aerodynamic Hayabusa ever. Head into your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. In this week's first segment, Associate Editors Kelly Callan and Teejay Adams discuss the new Kawasaki KLX 230 ... but with a slightly different twist. This dual-sport actually comes in 2 other flavors than just the standard, neat trail bike we've seen before. Kelly has ridden the KLX230SM (Supermoto version), while Teejay got her first taste of off-road riding on the KLX230S model—that's the one with the shorter seat height. There's not much to dislike on these bikes, but the ladies discovered there are some differences that might intrigue you. In our second segment, Teejay chats with a good friend—Gary Pattee. This multi-talented father of five, worked as a top-level orthopedic surgeon for around 30 years until he stepped away recently. But there's waaaay more to him than “just” that. As if that wasn't enough, Gary is an artist, a motorcycle aficionado who coaches at the Reg Pridmore Riding School, he's a magician, and even a drummer. Teejay's chat with him covers a whole spectrum. It's a fascinating insight into a truly accomplished man who has seemingly endless drive to excel at everything he turns his hand to. He's one of the good guys who manages to be modest and fun to be around too. Impressive stuff. So from all of us here at Ultimate Motorcycling and Motos & Friends, we hope you enjoy this episode.

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's Motos and Friends—a weekly podcast from Ultimate Motorcycling and brought to you by the all new Suzuki Hayabusa. Widely regarded as the Ultimate Sportbike, the third-generation Hayabusa by Suzuki melds two generations of refinement, resulting in the quickest, most technologically advanced and aerodynamic Hayabusa yet. Head into your local Suzuki dealer now, or visit suzukicycles.com to learn more. My name is Arthur Coldwells. This week Associate Editor Kelly Callan talks to Teejay and myself about the brilliant BMW G 310 R. Kelly was commuting on it recently, but found she so enjoyed riding the BMW that she ended up taking it on some fun rides at the weekend too. In the second segment I chat with Bryan Carroll, the idea and producer of the hit documentary Why We Ride from a few years back. Bryan is a successful TV and film producer, and not surprisingly, he has evolved his much acclaimed Why We Ride project into a much bigger idea—visit it at Motovational.org and you'll see The annual Ride to the Quail, plus a whole lot more. Motovational recently raised over $20,000 for the Ride for Kids pediatric brain tumor foundation, and as you might assume, Bryan hasn't stopped there. I hope you enjoy this episode!
Welcome once again to Motos and Friends, a Podcast by the editorial team at Ultimate Motorcycling, and brought to you by the all-new Suzuki Hayabusa. Your ultimate ride awaits—check out the exciting new Hayabusa at Suzukicycles.com, or of course go see it in person at your local Suzuki dealer. This week, our featured moto is from The Motor Company—Harley-Davidson. Nice de Sena gives us his thoughts on the new, slightly sportier ST models of the Street and Road Glide touring machines. These are directly influenced by west coast custom culture, and offer a really cool departure from the typical touring bikes. In the second segment, I chat with Nick Smith of Classic Avenue, a California-based auctioneer of some really nice motorcycles and cars. Nick originally came from over the pond and worked for some years with Bonham's auctions, so his standards are extremely high. Looking over the website there are some truly drool-worthy bikes up for auction. Nick gives us his thoughts on the market in general, and why he believes his way of doing things makes all the difference. We hope you enjoy this episode! https://classicavenue.com/ 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST Review [11 Fast Facts]
Motos and Friends Podcast by Ultimate Motorcycling, is brought to you by the all-new, 3rd generation Suzuki Hayabusa. My name is Arthur Coldwells. The new Hayabusa while staying true to its iconic design, now looks even more dramatic and futuristic; somehow Suzuki's styling department has refined the Hayabusa's looks and it is even more gorgeous than before. Really. But the beauty of Hayabusa is more than just skin-deep. Led by the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, Hayabusa riders now have the latest in electronic aids, like Traction Control, cornering ABS, a quick shifter, and cruise control. With even stronger acceleration from the Hayabusa's 1340 cc inline four-cylinder engine, and agile handling delivered by the revised chassis and suspension, the new Hayabusa delivers top-tier sportbike performance. Take a look at the ultimate sportbike at Suzukicycles.com, or of course you can swoop into your nearest dealer and check it out in person; I promise, you will be absolutely amazed. In the first segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams and I discuss the new Honda Gold Wing that was revised last year in the 2021 model. For 2022 the bike is unchanged other than revised colors are now available. A little oddly perhaps there's no red or even a two-tone version available for 2022, but don't let that stop you checking out Honda's flagship. Teejay and I had a chance to ride the new bike a few months ago, and of course, we absolutely loved it. What's not to love? Actually, here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we've written plenty about the new Gold Wing, and I'd imagine you're well up to date on the bike specs from the rider's POV. But the Wing is a friendly machine designed to take passengers in as much—if not more—comfort than the rider, so we thought it might be interesting to focus on Gold Wing life—from the passenger's seat. The second segment is brought to you by the ‘Ultimate' Editor-at-Large …Neale Bayly. Your favorite reprobrit now finds himself at the Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This annual photography exhibition features the work of the very best photographers in the world. This time, Neale is chatting with Mike Browne, the world-class photographer who just happens to do his best work from the seat of his motorcycle. The Motos and Friends Podcast from Ultimate Motorcycling is brought to you by the new Suzuki Hayabusa. Led by the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, the new Hayabusa stays true to its iconic design, with its straighter, sharper lines making it the most aerodynamic Hayabusa ever. Take a look at the ultimate sportbike at Suzukicycles.com, or of course you can swoop into your nearest dealer and check it out in person; you will be absolutely astonished. This week Don Williams takes us for a ride on the all new Indian FTR R Carbon. Of course the new iteration of Indian has brought us some excellent cruisers and touring machines—the company is clearly serious. Yet, interestingly, it seems that Indian clearly wants to branch out …a lot. The new 1200cc V-twin FTR shows the world just how seriously the company is getting with the sport side of its business, and indeed, the FTR was the machine ridden to Championship victory by Lady Racer Patricia Fernandez. Riding her Saddlemen sponsored FTR to win last year's Superhooligan class of the Bagger Racing League, Patricia proved that the FTR can consistently make it to the top step of the podium. The second part of this week's podcast is the 3rd part of George Puckhaber's travelogue. We've already heard how he travelled down to the end of the South American continent and back, and now he recounts his recent trip to the far East—to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. This time he didn't ride his BMW 1200 GS… 2022 Indian FTE R Carbon Review
This episode is brought to you by the gorgeous new, 3rd generation Suzuki Hayabusa. Widely regarded as the Ultimate Sportbike, the new Hayabusa is a refined rocket-ship—it is the quickest, and most technologically advanced Hayabusa yet. The beautifully refined, swooping bodywork is not gorgeous to look at, it's also the most aerodynamic Hayabusa yet. Check it out at suzukicycles.com or of course you could swoop down to your nearest Suzuki dealer and check it out for yourself. This week we bring you an absolutely fascinating, sort of ‘all-in-one' episode. It's an adventure ride for the ages, right here in our back yard of the Mojave desert in Southern California. As a brief teaser I can tell you that there is such a thing as the ‘Mojave Megaphone'. It is a true oddity, and interestingly it's not even that well known locally. It's a large—can only be described as—metal art object that looks the same as its name implies. It was placed in the middle of nowhere, California. Who placed it, how they did it, when, and even why—all remain mysteries to this day. Editor Don Williams has heard rumors of the Mojave Megaphone for years, and finally decided to go visit it. Persuading our always-up-for-anything off-road fast guy—Associate Editor Jess McKinley, they sourced a BMW F 850 GS Adventure, and a KTM 890 Adventure R to compare and review, and headed into the Mojave to find out exactly what's there. This episode will—for sure—make you want to put the daily grind to one side, drop everything, and just get out and go for a ride… It certainly did that for me. If you want to check out the Don's pictures and story please visit our website at ultimatemotorcycling.com. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2022/02/01/mojave-megaphone-adventure-ride-bmw-and-ktm-adv-in-the-desert/
Welcome to this week's podcast, brought to you by the all new, latest generation Suzuki Hayabusa. It is the quickest, most technologically advanced, and aerodynamic Hayabusa yet. Learn more about why the new Hayabusa is the ultimate ride, at suzukicycles.com—or of course you can head down to your nearest dealer and see the new Hayabusa for yourself. This week we bring you Senior Editor Nic de Sena's impression of BMW's completely revamped S 1000 R with the M pack and Sport package. This is the upright, hyper-naked version derived from the BMW S 1000 RR superbike and the version that Nic rode is the top-of-the-line S 1000 R that comes with the M package, and the Sport package as well. After that, we continue with the second and final part of my friend Gentleman George Puckhaber's fascinating story of his self-guided ride to the bottom of the World. This was a year-long trip to the lowest part of South America, the town of Ushuaia, Argentina. Next stop Antarctica if you are so inclined! In last week's part 1 telling of the trip, George left Southern California on his BMW GS1200, headed down through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, through the Darien Gap and into Columbia. We pick up the story this week as he reaches Ecuador. From us here at Ultimate Motorcycling, and the good folk at Suzuki bringing you the new Hayabusa—we hope you enjoy this episode!
Welcome to Motos and Friends, an Ultimate Motorcycling Podcast brought to you by Suzuki motorcycles. The all-new 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle is here—check it out at suzukicycles.com or of course, at your local dealer. The ultimate ride awaits! This week on Motos & Friends we take you on a couple of journeys. The first was relatively local, and pretty short, to Moab, Utah, where Associate Editor Teejay Adams and I tested the Yamaha TW200 and the Kawasaki KLX230 on a long, local fire road trail and later on the street. These relatively entry-level bikes, but man, we had huge fun on them, and in several ways both bikes surprised us. In the second segment, I chat with a dear friend of mine, Gentleman George Puckhaber. As a successful TV show Producer, with projects such as “The World's Deadliest Catch”, “Ice Road Truckers”, and “Storage Wars” on his resume, George decided that he wasn't quite living large enough. So, checking an item off his bucket list, he bought a big BMW 1250 GS ADV bike, and headed South. Ultimately riding a long and winding path through some 11 countries and covering nearly 40,000 miles, he rode through Patagonia and the Andes, all the way through Chile and into Argentina to the bottom of the World—Ushuaia—pretty much the last place you can get to before reaching the Antarctic. George's ambitious journey took some telling, so we've had to separate it into two parts, the second of which you'll be able to hear next week. It's a really cool story from a really great guy—we hope you enjoy hearing all about it!
Motos and Friends, a weekly Podcast brought to you by Ultimate Motorcycling, and powered by the all new Suzuki Hayabusa—the ultimate sportbike. Visit suzukicycles.com to find out more. The ultimate ride awaits! In the first segment Senior Editor Nic de Sena talks about the Suzuki SV650. The iconic SV actually came out over 20 years ago, and it can be argued has subsequently become a cult classic, especially among the racing fraternity. Despite its age, this inexpensive middleweight still works extremely well with massive aftermarket support should you want to go fast with it. In the second segment, Neale Bayly chats with Chuck Huneycutt, the Lead Motorcycle Restoration Expert at the Barber Museum. Chuck is an ex-racer and arguably the leading restorer of racing motorcycles in the country. Needless to say Chuck also gets to ride a lot of them, perhaps the most interesting one of which is the astounding Britten V1000 which is displayed on the top floor of the museum, appropriately just outside the new Design Center. Chuck rode the Britten several times so we get to hear his thoughts on that. 2020 Suzuki SV650X Review: Café and Canyon Ready By Teejay Adams 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa Test: Quicker and More Refined By Arthur Coldwells 2021 Barber Vintage Festival Report: Supermono Project Revealed By Teejay Adams
Increasing emissions scrutiny can put an end to internal combustion fun, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Suzuki's game-changing GSX1300R. Better known as the Hayabusa, Suzuki's wildly powerful motorcycle enters its third generation with the 2022 model year and keeps power-hungry enthusiasts champing at the bit. While this motorcycle's engine is known to power cars and other motorcycles, in its factory form it makes 188 hp at an ear-splitting 9,700 rpm. That might be down compared to its previous year, but only by a few ponies. The ‘Busa also sees some upgrades to its chassis and its rider tech. Even with the changes, the Hyabusa looks to stick with its drag-race-ready mentality and should make riders happy. On this episode of Quick Spin, Mark Vaughn hops on the saddle of the 2022 Suzuki GSX1300R. Vaughn walks you around the latest Suzuki Hayabusa and shows off its new features for 2022. After the walkaround, Vaughn takes you along for a quick ride of Suzuki's third-gen ‘Busa. Between these segments, Vaughn talks with host Wesley Wren about his experience with this Suzuki, the Hayabusa's history and this bike's spot in the motorcycle world. Closing the show, the pair discuss what makes the Suzuki Hayabusa special.
Hello everyone and happy new year! Here's hoping 2022 is a great year for us all! This is Motos and Friends – a weekly podcast brought to you by the editorial team at Ultimate Motorcycling and sponsored by Suzuki motorcycles USA. Are you ready for the revolutionary new 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle?! Check out the details of the ultimate ride, at suzukicycles.com. This week, our contributor Laura Fitzpatrick gives us her impressions of the new Triumph Tiger 660. Laura left her cold and rainy home in Dublin, Ireland for the sunny skies and balmy temperatures of Faro, Portugal to ride the exciting new middleweight. The Tiger 660 uses the company's excellent new three-cylinder engine slotted into an ADV package, and it seems Laura really liked not just Portugal, but the Triumph Tiger as well. In this next segment, Editor-at-Large, Neale Bayly, chats with Mike Holliday, owner of the Crossroads Coffee Shop in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Neale lives locally to Mike and visits Crossroads Coffee almost daily, although for some odd quirk of the universe Neale and Mike were somehow never in the shop at the same time, and so never met. However, when it actually happened, Neale was blown away to discover that Mike was not just a fellow motorcyclist, but that they'd traveled much the same path on trips across South America. Small world eh?? So Mike and Neale get to reminisce about some of their equally crazy travel stories, and give us an insight into what it's like to REALLY travel on two wheels. 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Test in Portugal: A Personal Experience
This week on Zooming with DRIVEN it's a motorbike special, with Suzuki's iconic Hayabusa taking centre stage. We talk about how it has remained a speed icon all these years later, and how awesome it is.We also cover a couple of new Harley Davidson models; the Pan America and the all-electric Livewire. While they both serve different purposes, they both seem to be incredible creations from the American brand. Paul Owen speaks on the Ride Forever motorcycle courses that are subsidized by ACC, and how they do wonders for riding safety in New Zealand. And finally, we look at the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Suzuki Jimny, and work out which one we'd rather take home. They both cost a similar amount, and both have a 1.3-litre engine, so it should be a hard choice.

Hey Everyone, this time on Shift with Motordrift! we are going to be talking about the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa. The Suzuki Hayabusa is a Motorcycle that came out of nowhere in 1998 and broke the land speed record set by a Production Motorcycle which then was held by the Hond Blackbird. It topped out at an astonishing speed of 312 Kmph, which even by today's standards is fast af, let alone 2 decades ago when this was nothing short of madness. This Legend is currently in its 3rd Iteration, so let's talk and Praise it, while we still can!
On this episode, Garrett, Eric, and Pete discuss few more new models for 2021: Honda's 1100 Rebel, the return of the Suzuki Hayabusa, what Indian is getting right, and Harley continues to get wrong. We then discuss recent garage purchases we've made, are currently considering and, in Pete's case, bought sort of by accident. We wrap up with a quick review of the Chinese-made cobbler's sewing machine Pete bought mid-episode last month.
Not even a city-leveling snow storm can stop this weekly podcast, as this episode of Brap Talk was recorded by candlelight, since Jensen's house has been without power for the past couple of days. Despite being a two-hour show, we only cover three motorcycles in this show: the release of the "new" Suzuki Hayabusa, and the first ride reviews of the Honda Rebel 1100 and Ducati Multistrada V4 S.
Crash is in Japan and out of quarantine. The guys talk about the 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa as well as some of the bikes that are not returning after 2021. They discuss Harley-Davidson’s new plan, called “the Hardwire”. The 10% tax credit for electric motorcycle purchases is extended until the end of 2021. Triumph teases an […]
With last week's launch of the new Suzuki Hayabusa, there's not much more to talk about in the motorcycle industry

Hello and welcome to Front End Chatter, and episode 132 of the long funning ramily drama in which ranty old seadog Simon Hargreaves (played by Oliver Reed, in his final screen role), rattling around alone in the east wing of Chatter Manors, is faced with moral bankruptcy and can only be saved by the intervention of the saintly Martin Fitz-Gibbons (played by Peter O’Toole in his final screen role). Together they form an unlikely alliance with Bennetts, the bike insurance specialists (played by Alan Bennett, in his final screen role) and www.bikesocial.co.uk, the world of biking on the web (played by Meryl Strepsil, in her final screen role). And there are some motorbikes in all this, in case you’re new round here. And in this episode, Simon and Martin chatter about: a new Suzuki Hayabusa they know nothing about, but which you, by now, do – was we right or was we right? Triumph’s new and rather impressively spec’d Speed Trip KTM’s updated but also impressive 1290 Super Adventure with rude tyres Are BMW really not going to bike shows any more? And in the FEC sack, we have topics as varied as: how to secure your helmet to your bike when going walkabout how to ride over potholes and bumps (at speed) what do electric bikes have to achieve to find widespread acceptance? what makes a bike exceed expectations? what’s the Five Nations Tour? when is a Vyrus not a virus? ...and much, much more... With a bevy of new motorcycles making their debut, we spend a lot of time drooling over new machines like the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, Kawasaki KLR650, KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, and Indian FTR1200. We also take a look at the rumors regarding the Suzuki Hayabusa, a new generation of which is set to debut on Feb. 5th. After that, we take a listener question regarding target fixation and tips on how to avoid it on the race track.
Hello and welcome to Front End Chatter Episode 87 #Remy Gardner... it’s only just occurred to me, but what kind of name is Remy? Is he named after a cognac or something? Anyway, welcome, one and all, to surreal bantz supported, enabled and triggered by the meaty skinbags at www.bikesocial.co.uk – the best resource for all things motorcycling on the interwebs – and under the munificent auspices of Bennetts, the bike insurance specialists. This week we have: why Suzuki Hayabusa mirrors remind Simon of Rosa Klebb’s shoes • a timely review of the 2002 Assen MotoGP, back in the days when races could be won by a two-stroke or a four-stroke, and when one four-stroke in particular appeared to be so much faster than the others it was like cheating... ...and how a last lap manoeuvre foreshadowed a more notorious coming-together 13 years later... a mini-review of the new Honda CBR650R and CB650R and is it a ‘new’ CBR600F? And how does the CB compare to a KTM 790 Duke? ...and why does no-one makes a Dakar replica? effective anti-rain visor solutions why do we wear the kit we wear? more on police/scooter tactics an inverse game of ‘what bike should I buy?’, with ‘what bike have I bought?’ have some bike magazines may have lost their sense of humour, and is there a correlation with the demise of sportsbikes? ...and much more natter chatter... ...and if you’re interested in attending a FECstravaganza in August in Lincolnshire, let us know! Many many thanks for listening, please continue to download FEC from www.bikesocial.co.uk. There is also a video version of this episode, check it out on YouTube. In this episode the guys sit down with the lovely Ms. Aerin Shaw, Vice President and General Manager for the Jekill and Hyde Company USA. Aerin shares details about why the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust system was developed. Currently the exhaust is only available in the USA for the following brands: Harley-Davidson, Indian, and Honda Goldwing. The exhaust is one of the top European brands in the market as it allows riders to quiet their bike to avoid sound tickets. That is correct - some European countries will ticket you as much as $3,000 dollars and impound your bike if it's too loud!Aerin then dives into her little side project - Les Femmes Vitesse. Aerin shares about how she started this project and the requirements to be a member. Sorry guys - this group is only for Fast Women and you can only join by being invited by another Les Femmes Vitesse rider.Aerin also shares details – and a few stories – about what bikes she rides, which include a Harley-Davidson Road King Police bike for work, and a sizzling hot and wicked fast Suzuki Hayabusa on weekends – in black and pink of course!
