Today, we are goingto look at the second mark of a genuine believer: “We rejoice in ChristJesus.” NoticePaul did not say we rejoice in our accomplishments. He did not say we rejoicein our denomination. He did not say we rejoice in our church attendance. Rememberwhen Jesus sent out the seventy-two, two by two, and they came back reportingwhat they had experienced. They said they had seen this and that, and that eventhe demons were subject to them. Jesus said, "Do not rejoice in that, but rejoice in the fact that your name is written in heaven" (Luke10:20). Jesus teaches us that our joy should be found in our relationship toHim. That is what Paul reminds us of here. Theword rejoice literally carries the idea of boasting or glorying in. So what arewe proud of? Jesus! What do we celebrate? Jesus! Who do we talk about? Jesus! Religionboasts about what people do. Christianity boasts about what Christ has done. Rememberthe Pharisee in Luke 18. He prayed, "God, I thank You that I am notlike other men." Then he proceeded to list all of his accomplishments. The publican, however, bowed his face before God, beat his breast, and criedout, "God, be merciful to me a sinner." Jesus said that manwent home justified rather than the Pharisee who had done so much. You see, true believers boast in Christ alone. Ilove the words of Galatians 6:14: "But God forbid that I should boastexcept in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." So when someone praisesus, we reflect that praise back to God. We thank Him. When something goodhappens in our lives, we thank God. When we see spiritual fruit, we give gloryto God. Why? Because we know where it all came from. Remember, Jesus said inJohn 15:5, "Without Me, you can do nothing." Now,the third mark that distinguishes a genuine believer is probably the mostimportant of all. Paul says here that: “We have no confidence in the flesh.”This statement strikes at the heart of human pride. The flesh refers to ourfallen nature. Paul says that true believers place no confidence in themselves.None. Zero. Our culture today teaches just the opposite. Believe in yourself.Trust yourself. Follow your heart. Depend on your abilities. Scriptureteaches something very different. Jeremiah 17:9 says: "The heart isdeceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" InRomans 7:18, Paul proclaimed: "For I know that in me (that is, in myflesh) dwells no good thing." The flesh cannot save us. The fleshcannot please God. The flesh cannot produce righteousness. The flesh cannotearn heaven. Only Jesus Christ can do that. John19:30 records the triumphant words from the cross of Calvary, where Jesusproclaimed: "It is finished." Not partly finished. Not almostfinished. But finished. Completely. Totally finished. His death on the crossand His shed blood accomplished propitiation and satisfied God completely forour sins. Everything necessary for salvation was accomplished in Jesus Christ. Thatis why true believers have no confidence in the flesh. Our confidence is not inourselves. Our confidence is in Jesus Christ and in Who He is. The Holy Spiritnow dwells in us, and whatever He leads us to do, we can accomplish because itis God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Solet me ask you a personal question today. Which of these three marks bestdescribes your life? Do you worship God from the heart? Do you rejoice in JesusChrist? Do you have any confidence in the flesh, or is your confidence inChrist alone? Or are you still trusting your own goodness, your churchmembership, your baptism, or your religious activities? My friend, the truebeliever worships God in the Spirit, rejoices in Christ Jesus, and placesabsolutely no confidence in the flesh. That is the difference between religionand a relationship with Christ.

APR. 23, 2026Always acknowledge your dependence on God."Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us." 2Co 3:5-6 NLTIn his classic book called Prayer, Dr. O.Hallesby wrote: "Prayer and helplessness are inseparable. Only those who are helpless can truly pray...Prayer therefore consists simply in telling God day by day in what ways we feel helpless. We are moved to pray every time the Spirit of God...emphasizes anew to us our helplessness, and we realize how impotent we are by nature to believe, to love, to hope, to serve, to sacrifice, to suffer, to read the Bible, to pray, and to struggle against our sinful desires." Now let's be clear: Feeling helpless is different from feeling hopeless or worthless; it's simply acknowledging our total dependence on God. Jesus said, "Without Me you can do nothing" (Jn 15:5 NKJV). God will never give you an assignment that does not require His input, His favor, and His enabling grace. Every action of God in your life is designed to increase, not decrease, your dependence on Him. If you can do it without God, you should stop and ask yourself, "Is this truly of God?" Paul wrote: "We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us" (2Co 3:4-6 NLT). David enjoyed all the privileges of being a king, yet he wrote: "I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer" (Ps 40:17 NKJV).So, the word for you today is - never, ever, lose your sense of dependence on God.Always acknowledge your dependence on God Total dependence on God.Share This DevotionalSend us Fan MailSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
Todaywe are continuing in Philippians 1, and we are looking at verses 15 and 16.This is a very searching passage of Scripture where the Apostle Paul says: “Someindeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will. Theone preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction tomy bonds.” This is a sobering statement. The Apostle Paul is saying thatthere were some people actually preaching Christ, but doing it with the wrongmotives. Wecould have entitle our chat today: “What kind of motives do you have as youserve Christ?” Are we serving Christ with the right motives, or are we servingHim for the wrong reasons? Paul said, some were driven by envy, jealousy, andselfish ambition. He says they were not sincere. In fact, they were hoping tomake Paul's situation even more difficult while he was in prison. Thisreminds us of a very important truth: it is possible to do the right thing, butfor the wrong reasons or the wrong motives. As we understand, Paul even goes onto say that although some preach Christ for the wrong reasons, he stillrejoices that Christ is being preached. So yes, Paul rejoices that the gospelis going forth. But this does not mean that God ignores the motives of theheart. One day, every motive will be examined. In1 Corinthians 3:12–15, we are told that our works will be tested by fire: “Ifany man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall besaved; yet so as by fire.” This is not a judgment of whether or not we aresaved—that was settled at the cross when we trusted Christ. But it is a matterof our works and our motives. The fire will reveal what kind of work it reallywas. Thenin 1 Corinthians 4:5, Paul writes: “The Lord will bring to light the hiddenthings of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.” Didyou catch that? Not only what we did, but why we did it will be revealed. Jesusspoke very plainly about this in Matthew chapter 6. He warned about giving, praying, and fasting just to be seen by others. And each time He said: “Theyhave their reward.” In other words, if the praise of people is what theywanted, then that is all the reward they will receive. There will be no rewardfrom our Father in heaven when we do things just to be praised by men. Thisbrings to light the words of Jesus in John 15:5: “Without Me, you can donothing.” That does not mean we cannot stay busy or accomplish thingsoutwardly. It means we can do nothing of eternal value apart from Him—nothingthat will count for eternity, nothing that will stand the test when it passesthrough the fire at the judgment seat of Christ. Sowe must continually ask ourselves the question: Why am I serving the Lord? Am Iserving Him out of love for Christ? Am I serving Him for His glory? Or is therea desire to be seen, to be recognized, or even to be compared to others? I knowsome people serve Christ out of what might be called “religious compensation”.They are trying to make up for the wrong they did before they were saved. Myfriend, we can never repay Christ for what He did for us on the cross. That isa wrong motive and a wrong reason to serve Him. InColossians 3:23–24, we read: “And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as tothe Lord, and not unto men;Knowingthat of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you servethe Lord Christ.” Wemust always remember that one day we will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ, and everything will be revealed. The things done for Him, through Him, and independence upon Him will remain—and they will be rewarded. But the things donein the flesh, for self, or for the praise of men, will be burned up. MayGod help us to serve the Lord with a pure heart, in full dependence uponChrist, and for His glory alone. For in the end, that is all that will matter. MayGod help us to do that today. Godbless and may you have a wonderful, wonderful day!
Todaywe're looking at Philippians 1:9–11. These verses teach us how to pray. Paulprayed these words for the believers at Philippi. This is a powerful prayer—aprayer that we can pray for each other. But I think it is also a prayer that weneed to understand can be applied even to ourselves. Todaywe want to look at this phrase: “that you may be sincere and withoutoffense till the day of Christ”. Till the day of Christ—sincere andwithout offense. Of course, sincere carries the idea of being pure and genuine, without hidden motives. Did you realize that one day, when we are standing atthe judgment seat of Christ as believers, we will be judged? There we will bejudged for our works—not so much for what we did, but why we did what we did. What was the motive behind our work? (Read 1 Corinthians 3:9-15). Didwe go to church? Oh yes, we went to church. But why did we go to church? Did wego so people would see us and think, “Oh, you're a good Christian,” and we wantpeople to notice that we're trying to be a good Christian? No. The motive isnot to go to church to show others what kind of Christian we are. The motivemust be to glorify the Lord. Why did we tithe? Why did we teach Sunday School? Why did we go on the mission trip? We will be judged and rewarded not for whatwe did or didn't do, but for our motive behind the act of service or giving. That'swhy Paul ends this prayer by saying that “we are being filled with thefruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise ofGod”. Whatever we do, we are to do to the glory of God through JesusChrist. Remember, it is not so much what you do—it is who you are. That's whatJesus said in His first recorded message in the Gospels, in Matthew chapter 5.We call it the Beatitudes. I often say these are the attitudes that humanbeings ought to have—the attitude of Jesus Christ. Rememberwhat they were in Matthew chapter 5. He says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God.” It is the spirit of humility, not of pride. That's the first thing that must be going on in our hearts. We are totally, absolutely dependent upon Jesus Christ. “Blessedare those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” We are broken over our sin.The first words we have recorded that Jesus preached in the Gospel of Matthew4:17. “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” We have anattitude of turning from our way to God's way. That's what it means to repent. Then we become sincere, and we are without offense in our motives—genuine, withno hidden motives. “Withoutoffense”means living in a way that does not cause others to stumble. We can say toothers, “Follow me as I follow Christ,” and we say it in humility. “Blessedare the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” The word meek means thatwe are totally, absolutely yielded to the Lord in every aspect of our lives. We've given up ownership of our lives. We've given up the right to ourselves toJesus Christ. He is Lord of our lives. Whenwe live in sincerity and without offense, it is “until the day of Christ”.Remember in verse 6, Paul used this same thought: “Now, being confident ofthis very thing that He who began a good work in you will perform it until theday of Christ.” One day, we're going to give an account for our works—notjust what we did, but what we were. Did we do them in the name of Jesus Christ?Remember John 15—Jesus said, “Without Me you can do nothing.” Asyou think about these things today, ask yourself, are you living a life that issincere and without offense till the day of Christ—that is honest, transparent, and consistent? And why? Is it all to the glory of God?Godbless and may you have a wonderful, wonderful day!
Matt just turned 49, and instead of doing a normal birthday playlist, we turned it into a rule: only songs from the years he hit perfect-square ages. That one idea creates a timeline you can actually hear, jumping from 1978 to 1981 to 1986, then into 1993, 2002, and 2013, with two tracks per year and a lot of life packed in between. We talk through why each pick makes the cut and what it carries with it. Kenny Rogers' “The Gambler” becomes a family story about risk, immigration, and gratitude. The Who's “Who Are You” turns into a birthday question that never stops being useful, while Rush's “Tom Sawyer” and Journey's “Don't Stop Believin'” bring the pure classic rock adrenaline. Later, Paul Simon and Van Halen hit the sweet spot of memory and ambition, then Tony! Toni! Tone! and Prince add sharp lessons about money, attention, and the weirdly perfect connections you only notice looking backward. The mix gets heavier and more honest too. We get into Bruce Springsteen's “The Rising” and its 9/11-era weight, and Matt shares the personal story behind Eminem's “Without Me” and how a song can show up at the exact moment you need it. We close with Macklemore's “Can't Hold Us” tied to a daughter's dance solo, and Fun.'s “Carry On” as a message for anyone in a long season of parenting, grief, or rebuilding.https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/matt-2026-birthday-mix/pl.u-MzBDtNqbr81. Our second set from Breakfast of Champions comes chock full of breakbeats from our one and only Rumblemunk. In his words: The set starts with a cool and funky transition track with some well-known vocals to keep folks hooked. I admit: it's hard playing after shOOey. There are literally people hanging from the rafters and dancers all over the stage, and I try my best to keep them interested for as long as possible. The core of the set is an exploration of recent breakbeats that sound minimal, but really are an evolution of the 90s dub sound that traces directly from reggae to drum and bass. The 60-70 BPM of dub double-timed up to high 130s and low 140s BPM forces faster elements like hats and arpeggios to be simplified, but leaves space for really interesting layering when slowed down to 132 BPM. There's a run from 12:30 to 17:30 that exemplifies this layering and progression before dropping back into the more open foot-stompy breaks. I hadn't played it in a while, and was sort of missing the rapid-fire rapping of Eminem, so I dropped in Eminight's Doom, my bootleg of Eminem's Without Me and Timo Maas' Doom's Night. It wraps up a nice run of Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts, and Yo Speed. The final act of the set is a trip back through time to 2004 with deep cuts from Plump DJs, Evil Nine, and the Breakfastaz (name appropriate, no?). This all leads into the final track; a breakbeat remix of Megadeth's Peace Sells (But Who's Buying) from 1988. I was looking for something topical for the current times with space for live guitar, but wasn't finding any tracks that worked. The idea of remixing Megadeth has been on my mind for a while, and the similar BPM and angry lyrics (If there's a better way... I'll be the first in line... But it better work this time) meant I had to do this. The live guitar bit didn't pan out, but production time of 7 weeks from idea to master is a new record for me. Expect an official release with live guitar and club edits later in 2026. -Rumblemunk
Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Allen joins NYU Steinhardt students live to trace her path from early pitch songs to co-writing some of the decade's defining hits. She explains why Halsey's "Without Me" needed an extended chorus but no pre-made chord loops, how Harry Styles' "Matilda" required character-driven writing for emotional safety, and what made the hypnotic groove of Tate McRae's "Greedy" demand a rare third verse. Allen also unpacks the spoken hook in Rosé and Bruno Mars' "APT" and the three-step key change powering Sabrina Carpenter's recent work. The result is a masterclass in why songs work—and why the rules worth breaking are the ones you've already learned. April 25, 2025 - Equipped 2025 - Day 2 - 1:30PM Session Scott leads a bible study of the political climate of Judiah during the book of Isaiah. Isaiah 7-12 - Isaiah Sent to King Ahaz 7 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it. 2 And it was told to the house of David, saying, “Syria's forces are deployed in Ephraim.” So his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind. 3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller's Field, 4 and say to him: ‘Take heed, and be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah. 5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying, 6 “Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel”— 7 thus says the Lord God: “It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass. 8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken, So that it will not be a people. 9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, And the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established.” ' ” The Immanuel Prophecy 10 Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 11 “Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.” 12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!” 13 Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.[i] 15 Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 16 For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings. 17 The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father's house—days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah.” 18 And it shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will whistle for the fly That is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, And for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. 19 They will come, and all of them will rest In the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks, And on all thorns and in all pastures. 20 In the same day the Lord will shave with a hired razor, With those from beyond the River, with the king of Assyria, The head and the hair of the legs, And will also remove the beard. 21 It shall be in that day That a man will keep alive a young cow and two sheep; 22 So it shall be, from the abundance of milk they give, That he will eat curds; For curds and honey everyone will eat who is left in the land. 23 It shall happen in that day, That wherever there could be a thousand vines Worth a thousand shekels of silver, It will be for briers and thorns. 24 With arrows and bows men will come there, Because all the land will become briers and thorns. 25 And to any hill which could be dug with the hoe, You will not go there for fear of briers and thorns; But it will become a range for oxen And a place for sheep to roam. Assyria Will Invade the Land 8 Moreover the Lord said to me, “Take a large scroll, and write on it with a man's pen concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. 2 And I will take for Myself faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.” 3 Then I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. Then the Lord said to me, “Call his name Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz; 4 for before the child shall have knowledge to cry ‘My father' and ‘My mother,' the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be taken away before the king of Assyria.” 5 The Lord also spoke to me again, saying: 6 “Inasmuch as these people refused The waters of Shiloah that flow softly, And rejoice in Rezin and in Remaliah's son; 7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty— The king of Assyria and all his glory; He will go up over all his channels And go over all his banks. 8 He will pass through Judah, He will overflow and pass over, He will reach up to the neck; And the stretching out of his wings Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel. 9 “Be shattered, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces. 10 Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For [r]God is with us.” Fear God, Heed His Word 11 For the Lord spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: 12 “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,' Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. 13 The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. 14 He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken.” 16 Bind up the testimony, Seal the law among my disciples. 17 And I will wait on the Lord, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him. 18 Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion. 19 And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. 21 They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22 Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness. The Government of the Promised Son 9 Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, As when at first He lightly esteemed The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, And afterward more heavily oppressed her, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles. 2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. 3 You have multiplied the nation And increased its joy; They rejoice before You According to the joy of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For You have broken the yoke of his burden And the staff of his shoulder, The rod of his oppressor, As in the day of Midian. 5 For every warrior's sandal from the noisy battle, And garments rolled in blood, Will be used for burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. The Punishment of Samaria 8 The Lord sent a word against Jacob, And it has fallen on Israel. 9 All the people will know— Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria— Who say in pride and arrogance of heart: 10 “The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.” 11 Therefore the Lord shall set up The adversaries of Rezin against him, And spur his enemies on, 12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. 13 For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, Nor do they seek the Lord of hosts. 14 Therefore the Lord will cut off head and tail from Israel, Palm branch and bulrush in one day. 15 The elder and honorable, he is the head; The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. 16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed. 17 Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows; For everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, And every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. 18 For wickedness burns as the fire; It shall devour the briers and thorns, And kindle in the thickets of the forest; They shall mount up like rising smoke. 19 Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts The land is burned up, And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother. 20 And he shall snatch on the right hand And be hungry; He shall devour on the left hand And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. Assyria Shall Be Broken 10 “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, Who write misfortune, Which they have prescribed 2 To rob the needy of justice, And to take what is right from the poor of My people, That widows may be their prey, And that they may rob the fatherless. 3 What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? 4 Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners, And they shall fall among the slain.” For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still. Arrogant Assyria Also Judged 5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hand is My indignation. 6 I will send him against an ungodly nation, And against the people of My wrath I will give him charge, To seize the spoil, to take the prey, And to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 Yet he does not mean so, Nor does his heart think so; But it is in his heart to destroy, And cut off not a few nations. 8 For he says, ‘Are not my princes altogether kings? 9 Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus? 10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, Whose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria, 11 As I have done to Samaria and her idols, Shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?' ” 12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” 13 For he says: “By the strength of my hand I have done it, And by my wisdom, for I am prudent; Also I have removed the boundaries of the people, And have robbed their treasuries; So I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man. 14 My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth; And there was no one who moved his wing, Nor opened his mouth with even a peep.” 15 Shall the ax boast itself against him who chops with it? Or shall the saw exalt itself against him who saws with it? As if a rod could wield itself against those who lift it up, Or as if a staff could lift up, as if it were not wood! 16 Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Will send leanness among his fat ones; And under his glory He will kindle a burning Like the burning of a fire. 17 So the Light of Israel will be for a fire, And his Holy One for a flame; It will burn and devour His thorns and his briers in one day. 18 And it will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, Both soul and body; And they will be as when a sick man wastes away. 19 Then the rest of the trees of his forest Will be so few in number That a child may write them. The Returning Remnant of Israel 20 And it shall come to pass in that day That the remnant of Israel, And such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, Will never again depend on him who defeated them, But will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, To the Mighty God. 22 For though your people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, A remnant of them will return; The destruction decreed shall overflow with righteousness. 23 For the Lord God of hosts Will make a determined end In the midst of all the land. 24 Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in the manner of Egypt. 25 For yet a very little while and the indignation will cease, as will My anger in their destruction.” 26 And the Lord of hosts will stir up a scourge for him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; as His rod was on the sea, so will He lift it up in the manner of Egypt. 27 It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. 28 He has come to Aiath, He has passed Migron; At Michmash he has attended to his equipment. 29 They have gone along the ridge, They have taken up lodging at Geba. Ramah is afraid, Gibeah of Saul has fled. 30 Lift up your voice, O daughter of Gallim! Cause it to be heard as far as Laish— O poor Anathoth! 31 Madmenah has fled, The inhabitants of Gebim seek refuge. 32 As yet he will remain at Nob that day; He will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, The hill of Jerusalem. 33 Behold, the Lord, The Lord of hosts, Will lop off the bough with terror; Those of high stature will be hewn down, And the haughty will be humbled. 34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One. The Reign of Jesse's Offspring 11 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. 3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; 4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. 6 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. 10 “And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.” 11 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. 12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth. 13 Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart, And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, And Judah shall not harass Ephraim. 14 But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; Together they shall plunder the people of the East; They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; And the people of Ammon shall obey them. 15 The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, And strike it in the seven streams, And make men cross over dry-shod. 16 There will be a highway for the remnant of His people Who will be left from Assyria, As it was for Israel In the day that he came up from the land of Egypt. A Hymn of Praise 12 And in that day you will say: “O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.' ” 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day you will say: “Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted. 5 Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!” Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6T9IGrUlv4 Duration 41:36
MAY. 20, 2025Who are you depending on?"Without Me you can do nothing." Jn 15:5 NKJVBecause God's Spirit lives within you doesn't guarantee His power is at work in your life. God's power is available, but you must plug into it. Jesus associates our spiritual life with a vine and its branches: "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing" (v. 5 NKJV). In this comparison, the branch is completely dependent on the main vine; it cannot yield fruit on its own. Growing fruit is an internal job. If someone tied apples onto the branches of a dead tree and said, "Look at this fruit tree," what would you say? You would probably say, "You tied those things on." That's similar to when a Christian says, "I'm going to tie on a bunch of fruit in my life—a little patience now, a little goodness later, a little self-control at another time. I will do it by myself." Impossible! It's the fruit of the Spirit, not the efforts of the flesh. Jesus said, "He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit." How can you tell you're abiding (or residing) in Christ? Consider your prayer life. Your prayers reveal your dependence on God. What do you pray about? Whatever you pray about is what you're relying on God for. The Bible says, "Never stop praying" (1Th 5:17 NLT). Pray about your decisions, needs, temptations, interests, plans, schedule, problems, purchases; specifically, pray about everything! Doing this is what it means to "abide"-being aware that God is always with you, practicing His presence.Who are you depending on? Your prayers reveal your dependence on God.Share This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
Esther Maria Magnis is a German writer whose book ‘With or Without Me' is a memoir of her journey with faith and the perception of reality. With unflinching honesty Esther takes us through her childhood and adolescence as she, along with her brother and sister, deals with the grief of her father's cancer diagnosis, her prayers, and her journey through the loss of faith, into materialism, self-deconstruction and finally the turn back to the idea of God. Justin and Belle talk to Esther about her raw account of coming to terms with faith through the beauty of life, the ugliness of death, and even the apparent silence of God.For Esther Maria Magnis: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Without-Conversion-Esther-Maria-Magnis/dp/163608026XFor Re-Enchanting: https://www.seenandunseen.com/podcastThere's more to life than the world we can see. In Luke 11:1-13, Jesus is teaching us how to pray. One forthe first things we should learn about prayer is that it is based on ourrelationship with God. Creation and our conscience declare to us that there isa God in heaven. That there is a Designer behind the design. But we need morethan an intellectual knowledge of God, we need a relationship with Him. Becausesin has separated us from God, we are empty inside our souls without this relationship. Religion of any kind cannot fill this void. Matter of fact,it is a false substitute that often keeps us from knowing God personally. Weare deceived into thinking that because we have a religion and go to church, preforming ceremonies and rituals, and doing good humanitarian deeds for othersthat this should satisfy God and give us entrance to heaven. But if we arehonest and admit it, we are still empty inside and know that something is missing. Jesus makes it very clear in John 14:6, that He is “theWay, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one can come to the Father except throughHim.” Now my friend, either Jesus is Who He said He is, or as C.S. Lewissaid, "Christ either deceived mankind by conscious fraud, or He wasHimself deluded and self-deceived, or He was Divine.” In his book MereChristianity, C.S. Lewis famously said, “Jesus is either a lunatic, a liar, orLord.”Lewis chose to believe that Jesus is Divine, and I do too. Religion of any kind never saved anyone, only Jesus can.His very name means Savior (Matthew 1:21). He is the Perfect Lamb of God Whocame to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). In 1 Peter 1:18-19, Scripturemakes it very clear that traditional religion with its ceremonies and rituals cannotpay the price for our sin or remove it from us. “Knowing that you were notredeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimlessconduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood ofChrist, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”In the above passage in Luke 11:5-10, right after Jesusspeaks of our relationship with “Our Father”, He tells the story of a friend, who had a hungry friend without “bread”, who on his journey has come to him at midnight. But he knew he also had a “Friend”, Who had plenty of bread. As we saidyesterday, for sure this story is teaching us the “persistence of prayer” thatis needed to receive God's provisions. But I also believe it also teaches usanother great lesson on about “Praying for Bread for our friends”. We have friends who are on their journey of life, and ithas become “midnight” for their soul. They are hungry, thirsty, tired, weary, empty, frustrated, unfulfilled, maybe confused, lost and looking for help. Theyhave come to us and are asking for help. We realize we don't have anything togive them. Jesus said, “Without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Butwe know we have a Friend, Jesus, Who is the “Bread of Life” and we can ask Himto supply this “Bread” for our friend who is weary and hungry. At least four times in John 6, Jesus proclaims that He isthe “Bread of Life”. “And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread oflife. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Meshall never thirst” (v. 35). “The Jews then complained about Him,because He said, "I am the bread which came down from heaven"(v. 41). “I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the mannain the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down fromheaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread whichcame down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; andthe bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of theworld" (vv. 48-51). Have you been praying for this “Bread” to give to yourfriends who are seeking for life? Maybe this is also why Jesus taught us topray, “Give us this day our daily bread”, not only for ourselves, but forour friends who desperately need Jesus, not a religion.

You are opening yourself up to both yourself and God. There is not a grade in examen, nor is there a grade in any other spiritual practice. Various questions can be helpful in the examen practice. Below is one way of practicing examen. The hopes are awareness and attending The practice requires permission and welcome • The practice begins with permission. In examen, you give God permission to show you parts of yourself that are hidden or harder to see. You also welcome and allow parts of yourself to be seen by God and yourself. • This is done by reflecting on and responding to a series of questions. As you do this awareness of those parts of you starts to emerge. • Then, you permit God again to attend to what came up. Your work here is to welcome what you can and allow God to attend to you. • Repeat daily for 7-10 days, giving yourself time to notice and explore what you see. Examen Questions: What do I find myself grateful for today? What am I grieving today? Where do I sense God's nearness to my grief? Where do I sense God's distance from my grief? How has God been generous with me lately? How is God calling me to be generous today? Prayer: After responding to these questions, allow God to attend to you through your responses and what is coming up in you. Tell God thank you after a few minutes or however long you need. visit laurabmurray.com to learn more! Remember Jesus is about 30 years old when He begins His earthly ministry (Luke 3:23). Jesus takes three and a half years to prepare the disciples for this great task. In the first year as He begins His ministry in the region of Galilee, He starts gathering the twelve, and they travel with him on His first preaching tour. In His second year, He takes the 12 with Him on His second tour of ministry, again in the region of Galilee. He continues to teach them by His example, to preach, teach to the multitudes, but at the same time to love the individual, and disciple the few. Now here in His third year of ministry, Jesus commissions the Twelve and sends them out by twos, on their own, to practice what they have been learning (Mark 6:7). I believe that today, Jesus continues this ministry of sending believers. In John 15:16 Jesus said, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” Jesus has called every believer to be a goer and a proclaimer of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world around us. We can give, we can pray, and we can go. And by the grace of God, we should be doing all of these things all the time! Bringing precious souls into contact with Jesus Christ with the message, “Come and see” (John 1:39). Jesus commissions and sends the Twelve to preach, and He also tells them while they are doing that, to heal the sick. They were given the gift and miraculous ability to physically heal people which would be evidence and give proof to the authenticity of their message. Today we have the complete Bible and do not need the miraculous signs the Holy Spirit gave the early believer in the church as they laid the foundation of the church. We might not have these gifts today, but we can still pray for the Lord to heal sick people and perform miracles as we minister to hurting people. We can be God's instrument to heal broken hearts as we share Jesus with them through God's Word. Most of all, we pray for the healing of their soul, that they can experience by repenting and putting their faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross and find forgiveness for their sins! We can be there for them when they are going through, sickness, pain, death, sorrow, tragedy and disaster in their lives. Praying for God's grace to be there for them during these times, and for the Holy Spirit to be their comfort. In verse 3, Jesus instructed the Twelve, to "Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.” Jesus is basically teaching and tell them not to depend on things they already have or for people to provide for them as they go forth to minister. A “bag” in those days would have been a beggar's bag that would be used to collect money. Jesus wanted His disciples to learn to depend solely upon their Heavenly Father to provide for their every need (Matthew 6:25-34). This doesn't mean today that we can't have money or nice things. Paul instructed Timothy about this in 1 Timothy 6:17-19: “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” It's ok to have “things”, as long as the “things” do not have us. And we use our “things” to do good for eternal purposes! We cannot make it in life or in our ministry without Jesus. He Himself said, “Without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). I trust today, and this year, that you are praying, giving, going, and serving Jesus, and will be depending totally upon Him! God bless!
pWotD Episode 2712: Eminem Welcome to Popular Wiki of the Day, spotlighting Wikipedia's most visited pages, giving you a peek into what the world is curious about today. With 176,268 views on Friday, 4 October 2024 our article of the day is Eminem.Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), known professionally as Eminem (stylized as EMINƎM), is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is credited with popularizing hip hop in Middle America and is regarded as among the greatest rappers of all time. His success is considered to have broken racial barriers to the acceptance of white rappers in popular music. While much of his transgressive work during the late 1990s and early 2000s made him a controversial figure, he came to be a representation of popular angst of the American underclass and has been cited as influencing many musical artists. His most successful songs on the U. S. Billboard Hot 100 include "The Real Slim Shady", "Without Me", "Lose Yourself", "Not Afraid", "Love the Way You Lie", "The Monster", "Godzilla" and "Houdini".After the release of his debut album Infinite (1996) and the extended play Slim Shady EP (1997), Eminem signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP. His next two releases, The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) and The Eminem Show (2002), were worldwide successes and nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, the latter becoming the best-selling album worldwide of 2002. After the release of his next album, Encore (2004), Eminem went on hiatus, largely due to a prescription drug addiction. He returned to the music industry with the releases of Relapse (2009) and Recovery (2010), the latter becoming the best-selling album worldwide of 2010. He then released the U. S. number-one albums The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018), Music to Be Murdered By (2020), and The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) (2024).Eminem was also a member of the hip hop groups New Jacks, Soul Intent, Outsidaz, and D12, and has collaborated with fellow Detroit-based rapper Royce da 5'9" as the duo Bad Meets Evil. Eminem played a dramatized version of himself in the 2002 musical drama film 8 Mile. "Lose Yourself", a song from its soundtrack, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks—the most for a solo rap song—and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first hip hop artist ever to win the award. He also co-founded Shady Records, which helped launch the careers of artists such as D12, 50 Cent, and Obie Trice, and established his own Sirius XM Radio channel, Shade 45.Eminem is among the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated worldwide sales of over 220 million records. He was the best-selling music artist in the United States for the 2000s, placing third for the 2010s. He was the first artist to have ten albums consecutively debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and has had five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), "Lose Yourself", "Love the Way You Lie", and "Not Afraid" have all been certified Diamond or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He has won numerous awards, including 15 Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and an MTV Europe Music Global Icon Award. Billboard named him the "Artist of the Decade (2000–2009)", and Rolling Stone named him one of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" and "100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time". In 2022, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:29 UTC on Saturday, 5 October 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Eminem on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Ivy.
It's probably safe to say that by late 2002, Eminem was the most popular rapper in the world. With three full-length solo albums under his belt, Slim Shady had come quite a long way in the four years since taking the world by storm with The groundbreaking Slim Shady LP in 1999 - introducing the world to his devil-may-care madcap rhymes that ranged from insightful, to absurd, to downright offensive; sometimes all at once. There was no denying Marshall Mathers' talent on the mic - combining the sounds of the underground with a hurricane flow, lyrical wizardry, and pop culture irreverence - Eminem's popularity was bolstered by the frustrated angst of the emerging nu metal, horror-core and even pop punk sounds of the era. Realistically, he didn't even *sound* like anything from those genres, but his aura was so strong that he became a sort of crossover artist without even needing to actually cross over. It was just *cool* to like Eminem. With the backing of music industry heavy hitters like Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Eminem also had serious critical credibility - He'd won Rap Grammys for the aforementioned Slim Shady LP and it's lead single ‘My Name Is' in 2000; He followed it up with three more the following year for the likes of The Real Slim Shady, Forgot About Dre, and his sophomore album The Marshall Mathers LP - and would eventually go on to win two MORE Grammys in 2003 for his ‘02 album The Eminem Show and its lead single ‘Without Me'. And, while we're on the topic of the successes of Slim Shady - the records show that by late 2002 Eminem's 3 Solo LPs had gone no less than 18x Platinum in America alone. There is just one thing Em hadn't done yet - and quite honestly I can barely believe it myself - Eminem had never had a US Billboard hot 100 Number 1 Hit. That all changed when Eminem recorded the lead single for his feature film debut - changing how we all thought about Eminem forever. This is the story of Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' with newly unearthed audio from Marshall Mathers himself!

Halsey, the Grammy-winning artist known for pop hits like “Without Me” and “Bad at Love,” just dropped some new music, and it sounds like a new direction for her. Her new single “The End” seems inspired by her mounting list of serious health issues. And as she announced the song yesterday on Instagram, Halsey said she's “lucky to be alive” and shared video clips of her in the hospital, hooked up to IVs. Halsey promises that when the rest of her album drops, it will reveal a lot more about what she's been going through. One thing's for sure: Halsey is one helluva fighter.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Psalm 127 is the eighth of the “Ascent Songs” or “Pilgrim Psalms”. It has an inscription that attributes it to Solomon as the writer. Some scholars believe that King Hezekiah is the person who organized the “Ascent Songs” for the pilgrimage of the people and for their worship when they arrived in Jerusalem. Others think that it might have been Nehemiah or Ezra who complied these fifteen psalms for the remnant returning from their captivity in Babylon. They were both rebuilding the temple and walls of Jerusalem and having to fight their distractors and enemies at the same time! Remember Nehemiah had the people hold a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other as they worked on the wall. The major message of this psalm is that is no amount of human sacrifice or toil can accomplish much unless God's blessing is upon His people. I'll never forget an old hymn that says, “Little is much when God is in it”! But the opposite is true also, “A lot is nothing when God is not in it”! As God's people, we are builders and more than anything else we need God's blessings upon us as we “build and guard” in a dangerous and demanding world. Solomon was a great builder, and he must have learned this lesson that if the LORD's blessings were not there, the builders labored in vain, and the soldiers would watch and guard in vain. God had called us to build—our lives, our homes, our churches, and the kingdom of God around the world. Before commencing His public ministry, Jesus was a carpenter (Mark 6:3), and He is currently building His church in this world (Matt. 16:18). The apostle Paul saw himself as a master builder (1 Cor. 3:10). Whether we are building structures with bricks and mortar and steel, or building lives, families, and churches with truth and love, we cannot succeed without the help of the Lord. Jesus said, "Without Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). We must also depend on the LORD to guard what is being built! (v. 1b). Strong walls around the city and alert watchmen on those walls are essential if we are to protect what we have built. And how foolish it is to build and not protect! Many a child and many a ministry has been lost to the enemy because the watchmen did not stay awake and warn that the enemy was approaching. If parents, teachers, and church leaders do not courageously depend on the LORD through prayer and His Word to guard against the enemy, our building and battling will be in vain. If verse 1 warns against overconfidence ("We can do it without God's help!"), verse 2 warns against overwork and anxious toil ("I have to do it all right now!"). This verse does not say it is wrong for people to get up early, work hard, and make sacrifices (see 2 Thess. 3:6-15). It only warns us that our work should be a blessing we enjoy and not a burden we endure. Doing God's will is nourishment, not punishment. But the anxious laborer eats "the bread of sorrows", sorrow while working and sorrow while trying to rest at night as he worries about the next day. God gives us "richly all things to enjoy" (1 Tim. 6:17). In verses 3-5, we are reminded that it does no good to build and guard our houses and cities if there are no future generations to inherit them and keep the family, city, and nation going. Children are precious—a heritage and they make the home a treasury. But they are also useful, like fruit and arrows, and make the home a garden and an armory. If we do not raise our children to know and love the truth, who will plant the seeds of truth and fight the battles against lies and evil in the years to come? It is in the family that we preserve the best of the past and invest it in the future. Every baby born is God's vote for the future of humankind and our opportunity to help make some new beginnings. May the LORD always give us grace to remember that we desperately need His blessings and “Little is much when God is in it!” God bless!
Bible Reading: John 15:5; 2 Corinthians 3:1-6One breezy afternoon, Dad took Alena and Theo to the park to try out their new kites. "My kite will fly higher than yours," said Theo, looking proudly at his bright yellow kite with dark blue borders."We'll see about that!" said Alena, tossing her red and white kite into the air. Theo quickly tossed his kite into the air too, and soon both were aloft. For a few minutes the kites sailed across the sky, flying higher and higher. "Go, kite! Go!" called Theo. "Show 'em that you're the best." He grinned and yelled triumphantly when Alena's kite suddenly plunged to the ground. "See! My kite's the king of kites!" Theo declared. But a few moments later, his kite joined his sister's on the ground."Some king you got there!" said Alena. Theo grumbled as they went to pick up the fallen kites. "What happened? Why isn't my kite flying anymore?""You were so proud of your kite that you forgot what makes it fly," said Dad."The wind does," said Alena. "The air is very still now--there's almost no breeze at all. That's why our kites won't fly." She grinned at Theo. "You forgot about the breeze, didn't you?""I guess so," said Theo. "I thought a super-good kite was all I needed, but I need a super-good breeze too." Dad nodded. "Lots of people make the same mistake you did, Theo.""They do?" Alena was surprised. "I thought everybody knew you needed wind to fly a kite." She looked at her brother. "Except Theo, that is."Dad smiled. "Theo forgot that kites need wind--and who created the wind?""God did," said Alena. "Right," said Dad. "God provides the wind kites need to fly, and He provides the strength and abilities we need for everything we do too. We often forget that God is the one who gives us power for even the simplest things."Theo nodded thoughtfully. "Yep. Even breathing in and out," he said. "And those who trust in Jesus have been given even greater power," said Dad. "We have the power of the Holy Spirit, who helps us do good and love others. Because of the good work He does in our lives, people can see that we belong to Jesus." – Tanya Ferdinandusz How About You?Do you ever feel like you can accomplish anything you set your mind to? Don't forget that you're powerless without God. He created everyone and gave us the abilities we have--without Him, none of us would be able to do anything! And He's the one who empowers Christians through the Holy Spirit to show others His goodness and love. Thank Him for all you're able to accomplish each day. Today's Key Verse:[Jesus said,] "Without Me you can do nothing." (NKJV) (John 15:5)Today's Key Thought:God gives power for all you do
On this episode of the Music Business Worldwide podcast – supported by Voly Entertainment – MBW founder, Tim Ingham, is joined by Rasty Turek.Rasty is the founder and CEO of Pex – which, amongst other things, tracks and analyses copyrighted content on digital services.According to Pex's tech, over a million tracks on audio streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL, are not what they appear to be. These million-plus tracks are what Pex calls “modified audio” – which means an original track has been sped up, slowed down, or otherwise manipulated, and then uploaded as an entirely new recording. The main issue for the music industry? Unless these million-plus tracks have legally licensed the original recording on which they're based, they're infringing copyright. More than that, they're pulling royalties away from the original artists in question.Pex has provided a number of examples of ‘sped up' tracks on audio streaming platforms that aren't attributed to a recording's original artist. There's a version of Halsey's 'Without Me', for example, with over 6 million streams on Spotify. There's also modified version of Coldplay and The ChainSmokers' ‘Something Just Like This' that has over 12 million plays. It's not hard to find more: I took a cursory search through Spotify before recording this and discovered a sped-up version of Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj's Beauty and a Beat with over 8 million streams, and a sped-up version of Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary with over 25 million streams. In all of these cases, the credited artist on each track – and therefore, presumably the artist account collecting royalties – is not the original artist in question. As you can hear in our interview with Pex's Rasty Turek, he thinks this is an industry failing – and something of a sibling to streaming fraud…The Music Business Worldwide Podcast is supported by Voly Music.

Hey Alexa play Without Me by Eminem NEW SEASON. SAME BULLSHIT. Your HBIC Ally is back for another episode of Be That Bitch and I'm literally so excited to chat all about my 3rd marathon with y'all... things I learned... things I can't wait to experience again... Things that are in the works
We've Only Just BegunWe are now at the last step to surrendering our lives unreservedly to the Lord. And this seventh and final step deals with how to keep close to Him, and how to remain surrendered and submitted, even after the initial awe of the experience begins to wear off and we let our guard down. Don't be deceived— yes, it will happen to you, just like it has happened to all those who have gone before you in seeking the Higher Christian Life or the life of full surrender.Even though we are at the last step, our journey of surrender has just begun. Like Peter, taking his eyes off Jesus and sinking into the waves when doing the impossible, walking on water, it's easy to lose focus on Christ amid the trying circumstances we face every day (Matt. 14:30). Remember, sin is sin, and all sin, no matter how trivial we make it, hinders our relationship with the Lord and grieves the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:30). Therefore your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to keep Christ at the center of your life, always, regardless of the situation you may be facing. And we do that by keeping our eyes on Him.Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses (see Hebrews 11), let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (how) looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God – Hebrews 12:1-2.So how do we maintain a posture of continual submission to the Lord and make seeking Him our consuming priority in life? Or, how do we keep our eyes on Him like He kept His eyes on His Father? Let me share with you a few disciplines that should give you some direction in your life-long pursuit of Him.Start the Day Anchored in ChristBegin each morning grounded in Scripture and prayer. Make this a priority and set the tone of your day, communing with Jesus before anything else. Take His word in John 15:5 to heart, “Without Me, you can do nothing,” and realize He meant what He said. Read a devotional or passage about Christ's character.¹ Write down what He has been showing you or how He has answered your prayers. This anchors you in Him before the chaos of the day competes for your attention.“My voice You shall hear (when) in the morning, O Lord; (when) in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up” (Psalm 5:3). Just as we nourish our bodies with breakfast, we must nourish our spirit with Christ first thing in the morning.Don't Exclude Christ from Your Daily TasksAs you go about your day, talk to Jesus continually through quick, conversational prayers, thanking Him for the little blessings you notice. Ask the Spirit for patience when frustrations arise, and they will. And seek His wisdom in any decisions you have to make, no matter how small. Remember, He is the Lord over everything— even the small stuff. Offer up a prayer of blessing to those you encounter. And ask Him to guide your interactions throughout the day. When you pray without ceasing, as 1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs, it keeps your focus on the Lord no matter how busy your schedule gets. Whether you're checking off your to-do list, heading to appointments, running errands, or socializing with others, you can invite Jesus into every moment of your day. And if you invite Him, you will no longer be surprised when He comes to walk beside you in what you consider the mundane things of life. Try it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much He wants to be part of your life.Look at Everything Through His EyesConsider how your daily choices reflect on

Beasts to Bring in the Harvest (3) (Audio) David Eells - 3/8/23 Seek Me NOW! Tiannah Fire - 1/18/23 I started feeling Gods presence and had this urge to write down what was coming to me in the Spirit so I did. “I Am wanting vessels who want to remain until the end, to go through all that is about to come on the world, in My peace, love, and My Joy, manifesting and witnessing to the world of My Son in His Power and Glory and Might. This world is desperate for My Son, and My Son is who they are going to get. All alive on the earth will be given the choice to reject or accept Me before everything is destroyed. All that will remain is My Spirit, everything else will be destroyed and already is, for it is about to manifest. The time is now to seek Me with everything that you are, with your whole mind and strength. You are to be constantly focusing on Me; setting your mind on things above and not on things on the earth. I Am the only satisfaction and Glory. I want to commune with you. I desire you to be one with My Son. I have already done it all, but You need to agree with Me and go along with what I have already prepared. Your life is for Me. Your mind, soul, spirit and body were created for Me and My Glory. This world and everything in it were created for Me to express my love and everlasting grace. I Am everything good and there is nothing but Me. (1Co. 15:27-28 For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him. 28 And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.) The time is coming and already is here. I Am here and I am coming. I Am increasing Myself in those who want Me. I want you more than you know, and more than you could ever want me. I want to grow you as quickly as you will allow Me Stop thinking about and spending your time on physical things. I provide ALL your needs. Your spiritual needs are greater than your physical [needs]. Seek spiritual food not physical. You are blessed when in My presence and praising Me. Sacrificing yourself brings the greatest glory. I Am life. Awaken to Me. I live in you and through you. Focus on Me. Remain steadfast and hold on to Me till the end. I Am coming and have already come. (Because He doesn't live in time.) Every second is another moment closer to eternity. Every second focused on Me has an increase of Me in you. Seek Me. I am closer than your breath and I desire to increase. Allow Me. I know you more than you know yourself. I love you more than you can comprehend but choose Me in full. I want your whole heart, your whole strength and might. Without Me you can do nothing. With Me, we together can and will do all things, above what your carnal [mind] can understand. Choose Me. Focus on Me NOW and forever. If You don't spend your time with Me now, how will you spend your time with Me for Eternity? If you don't serve Me and do My will now, how will You serve Me for Eternity? I choose you and want you here with me in full, not in part. Come to Me for your daily bread. Every moment that goes by that you aren't communing with Me are moments missed of My increase and My spiritual blessings. Only I can satisfy your soul. Only I can make you breathe and your heart to beat. I Am. Seek me NOW.” A Sudden Move of God Debbie Fenske - 1/16/23 (David's notes in red) During our morning Zoom meeting, the Lord allowed me to see in the Spirit, those whom we would call, the lowliest of people, and those addicted to every kind of sin. I could see the Spirit of the Lord suddenly coming upon them, moving in their spirits. I could discern their intense desire for God. These were dry, needy, and homeless people on the streets. (These represent spiritually homeless people as well.) I could see them dropping to their knees, and raising their hands to heaven with a sudden, but awesome desire for Jesus; to truly want to know Him. “I am doing this. I am doing the work. But even My people, who know My truths, and are walking in My ways, will see, and wonder if such persons could be touched in such a way. But I say to you, ‘What a remnant I am bringing forth!' So, I warn you. I warn My people to be prepared. Be ready to receive My gift to minister to those who I will allow you to run into as you go about your business of the day. And I say, do not let their appearance stop you from being moved by My spirit, to minister by My Spirit as I bring you face-to-face with them. Be alert and do the work of God. Even those affluent ones who have sat before Bible teachers hearing My Word preached, and receiving it with joy, and walking in My ways to the best of their knowledge, now will suddenly receive revelation from My Spirit that they are yet so empty, and needy of the deeper truths of My Word. They are going to suddenly desire more of Me, and they will seek Me with all their hearts, praying with earnest out of a sudden yearning desire which I will suddenly impart to them. (In revivals in the past, sinners and self-righteous people suddenly, for no apparent reason, have been overcome with grief for their sins and cried out to God.) And many will find you and will truly find Me through the ministry and revelation truths you have received in Me through My Word and are so freely giving out. Be ready, My People. For I will suddenly do a quick work. Have you not heard? The harvest is ready to be picked.. Therefore, I say to you, ‘Stay prepared in Me, and go forth, intentionally, into My harvest field. Drop all things that would hinder you from being My vessels. For I have called you.” Thank you, Father! Bless us all, in Jesus' name, to receive this word from You, and to move with Your Spirit, to bring many into Your kingdom, and into Your eternal kingdom truths. Amen! Meteors Falling from the Sky Winnie Osegueda - 2/14/23 (David's notes in red) Our daughter, Zoé, who is 6 years old, woke up saying she had a crazy dream. She said meteors were falling from the sky and through our ceiling. She said, “One fell on my lap, but I wasn't harmed because Jesus protected me.” (We have been told that we are going through an area of the galaxy in which many meteors would fall to earth and also going through the tail of Planet X would have this affect.) She also said she caught a couple in her hands and it caused her no harm either. (Zoe' means, “God's life”. Those who have God's life will be protected supernaturally through their faith.) She doesn't really know about the things that are about to come so I believe the Lord has been giving her dreams. Our Entire Solar System is Changing Rapidly, But Nobody is Really Talking About It Songs of Ascent - 12/12/22 Strange Sounds - All the major bodies of our Solar System are changing rapidly, but nobody is talking about it. (Historically, Planet X affects all the planets. Hag. 2:6 For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land.) We are in the upswing of Solar Cycle 25. Could it be related? https://strangesounds.org/2022/12/our-entire-solar-system-is-changing-rapidly-but-nobody-is-really-talking-about-it.html We are seeing rapid observable changes to almost every single planet: Pluto's atmosphere has recently collapsed (Astronomy) Neptune's storms have suddenly begun rotating backwards (SS) and the planet is mysteriously cooling down (SS) Uranus' polar regions are visibly flaring (Texplorist) Jupiter has recently experienced a 700 degree temperature impulse originating from its northern pole, and its great red spot is fading [SS] Mars is suddenly displaying seismic activity (SS) Venus' planetary winds have increased their velocity by 33% in the last 20 years (Space) It goes on from there, we've recently observed: large-scale changes in the ice cover on Jupiter's moon Europa (PhysicsWorld) large-scale changes in the polar ice cap on Mars (SS) Saturn is losing its rings (The Atlantic) a mysterious darkening of the atmosphere of Venus (Astronomy) unusual changes in the temperature and pressure of the atmosphere of Neptune (NASA) a brightening of the atmosphere of Jupiter (AGU) Here on earth, our own magnetosphere is rapidly losing it's strength as our magnetic poles continue to race away from their usual positions, wreaking havoc on animal migrations – See all the beached whales this year as well as the spike in reports of unusual bird sightings. Things have gotten to the point where we are now updating our magnetic models yearly, and soon there will be zones of flux broken bad enough to cause real danger to flying due to constant magnetic reconnection. Our aurorae are reaching levels of intensity not normally seen, with recent high-energy'pink' aurorae being observed. The fundamental electromagnetic nature of this planet – electromagnetism responsible for a variety of effects on life, most especially cardiac and pulmonary health in humans, is changing rapidly. Volcanic activity on our planet is currently at a record, with more and more volcanoes showing [a] concerning lift, erupting, or showing increases in lava flow. Every single active volcano along the pacific rim is showing increased activity. Mount Rainier looks ready soon. The Sisters in Oregon are showing lift. Given only one of two data points, it would be easy to discount the events as isolated and unrelated outliers with no significance. Taken together, however, the total body of evidence becomes impossible to ignore, and, once the presumption is made that this information is known by our leaders, pretty much explains the motivations for their actions. Everything is changing. Nobody is telling you. In fact, they built us a world where these questions are taboo, where every answer leads you away from the glaring, obvious truth. William Casey, former director of the CIA, upon being asked what the goal of the agency was (in 1981) said, “We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” We are in the upswing of Solar Cycle 25. All planets are connected to the sun, eg by what NASA calls magnetic flux ropes – stable energetic connections exchange energy in the form of a charged particle stream. These transfer energy and charged material to the planets and drive their rotation. Because the planet's rotation is tied to this inductive transfer, it is highly likely that during the most pronounced moment of a magnetic pole excursion the earth would stop its rotation. This sounds like crazy talk until you read historical accounts of the sun rising in the wrong place. Earthquake/Core relation video: This one addresses both. (THIS COULD HAVE BEARING ON THE BIG QUAKES COMING.) Terrawatch: Why Has the Earth's Spinning Inner Core Slowed Down? Kate Ravilious - 2/22/23 Earth's inner core appears to have stopped spinning faster than its mantle. New measurements suggest that the rotation of the inner core has slowed in recent decades and is now about to reverse direction, spinning more slowly than the mantle. The finding helps to explain recent changes in Earth's magnetic field and the length of day. The Earth's solid inner core is contained within the liquid outer core, enabling it to rotate differently from the Earth itself. Its spin is driven by the magnetic field generated in the outer core, and balanced by gravitational effects within Earth's mantle. Terrawatch: is Earth's core going rusty? Read more By analyzing earthquake seismic waves that have passed through the inner core, researchers were able to calculate how the spin of the inner core has changed since the 1960s. They found that seismic waves have tended to follow a very similar path since about 2009, suggesting that the inner core rotation has paused. The data showed something similar occurred in the early 1970s, indicating that the inner core appears to change in a similar way every few decades. The new finding, which is published in Nature Geoscience, is helping scientists to better understand the interaction between different layers of the Earth, and the impact that processes deep inside the Earth can have on the surface, including the gradual increase in length of day: adding a fraction of a millisecond each year since 2020. By Nikk Ogasa 1/ 23/23 “We see strong evidence that the inner core has been rotating faster than the surface, [but] by around 2009 it nearly stopped,” says geophysicist Xiaodong Song of Peking University in Beijing. “Now it is gradually mov[ing] in the opposite direction.” Uniform Depth Earthquakes Unnatural Missy Pollock Most of the earthquakes in the photo below are unconfirmed, 10 km deep and Dutch-sinse isn't showing most of them in his reports that I've seen. (If they are all 10 km, they are not natural earthquakes but to prepare Earthquakes.) This is the NY / Ala fault, where Sandy and one other dreamed the earthquakes would start crossing America. All of these being uniformly 10 KM deep shows they are not natural earthquakes, but the DS is attempting to make that fault fail. Over by Charlies house the eastern fault was being bombed to make sure it fails when the time comes. By that and fracking they are preparing the quakes to go where they want them to go. Turkey and Syria lost tens of thousands so far from tectonic weapons of DS. It is started. The earth plates are ultimately being moved by God. The Lord told Ken Dewey, “I AM shaking many things and moving things in the ground around, rearranging them. Many changes, [will come] suddenly! Get ready, for the time of my great miracles are come, and many will move to do exploits for Me.” (The Lord is coming for the Bride as this EQ war proceeds.) The Alliance under Trump repatriated the stolen gold and returned it to the nations and the DS wants it back. According to Operation Disclosure: The Khazarian Mafia has been reduced to threatening use of earthquake weapons to force countries to hand over their gold. Indonesian authorities tell us they are being told to hand over gold and other natural resources, or a very large earthquake will occur later this month. The threats came from the Dutch embassy in Jakarta. It was passed on to a high-level official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesian intelligence sources say. Washington Monument Crumbles Marie Kelton - 2/13/23 (David's notes in red) I had a vision of it being cloudy and foggy around the water that is by the Washington monument. All of a sudden, the vision zoomed in above the water toward the monument. Then the ground shook like an earthquake had happen and the Washington monument cracked in the middle and the top half fell over. I saw this multiple times. (This is the NY/Alabama fault we were speaking of. The Eastern fault that starts it all.) The UAE Deal: Earthquake Sign Michelle Rogers - 10/23/20 (David's notes in red) On January 28, 2020 President Trump held a news conference in D.C with Netanyahu in which the UAE deal was announced. The announcement included plans to give over more territory to the Palestinians provided they met certain conditions. Just about two hours later, a 7.7 earthquake struck in the Caribbean and was felt all the way to Miami Florida where Trump has his famous Mar-a-Lago resort. The quake was so strong that it shook the city to the point that people had to evacuate high rise buildings. I felt in my spirit that the 7.7 quake corresponded to Isa. 7:7 thus saith the Lord Jehovah, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. (Meaning the division of Israel at this time. This also speaks of born again spiritual Israel, the true Church. Eventually Israel will be divided and greater judgment will fall.) Tennessee Cracked in Half Taryn Ezell - 2/20/23 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was sitting in the car looking out the window as we were driving. I was asking the Lord when these things should be regarding the Tribulation because of what was going on at the Asbury revival. I was praying as we drove to Cracker Barrel. When we got to Cracker Barrel [and went inside], a huge earthquake happened while we were sitting there. I knew in the dream that this was the beginning of the days foretold; days that would have to be shortened to save the elect. I realized that Cracker Barrel had been moved [by the quake] all the way to downtown Maryville. I saw a huge, gaping crack, miles wide in width, and smoke smoldering. There was damage everywhere. The look on peoples faces was that of horror. I tried to call Matt and we talked briefly. Then I called my dad and he said he'd heard about it. But nothing had happened where he was yet. I was given the knowledge that more were coming. More earthquakes would break the US and the world apart. Destruction was everywhere in my location from just one earthquake. It had cracked Tennessee in half. Then I woke up. (At least two fault lines, one on both sides of the TN Valley will separate Tennessee. In our dreams it will be like a boat shaped piece of land in the water. We are in the middle of the boat.) Cutting Off the Flesh Brings Earthquakes Marie Kelton - 8/1/22 (David's notes in red) …I dreamed that I was at Amber's house. I was telling a few people that were there about an earthquake that happened. I was telling them about the fault line but I couldn't remember what it was called, so I grabbed a math book from off of Amber's bookshelf and I looked it up. It said that the fault line was called, “Stratosphere”. The dream changed… and this time I was standing in an open area on the grass (The grass represents the flesh 1Pe. 1:24 For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth.). I was cutting ham with a meat slicer that I use at work. (Representing cutting off the “unclean” flesh.) I was talking to a person and I was telling them that I was afraid to cut to the meat because I thought it would start the earthquake. (We must cast down our fears of death to self and cut off our flesh. The earthquakes will motivate this. The earthquakes are coming regardless and we need God's divine protection.) I knew in the dream that the area I was in would be the last place the earthquake would hit. Then I woke up. Mat. 24:6-7 "And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places." These earthquakes will inevitably cause Tsunami's around the globe too. A Gigantic Wave Coming Samuel Fire - 2/22/23 (David's notes in red) I saw Tiannah, myself, and many other UBM brethren standing together on the beach as a group, and behind us, spread all around, were a large crowd of different people that I didn't know. The place was completely full. I saw from afar, a gigantic wave coming. The wave was about 42 stories high. (The beast will persecute the saints for 42 months. Rev. 13:4-5 and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? And who is able to war with him? 5 and there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to him authority to continue forty and two months.) All the people that I didn't know began freaking out. Some were screaming and crying and others were trying to run away. All those people were so scared and shocked. All the UBM Brethren were so joyful and excited for this wave to come. It was as if we all had been waiting for this wave. (For us, this wave will bring victory for the kingdom of God in that it will separate the tares from the wheat which will shine forth in the kingdom. Mat. 13:40-43 As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity, 42 and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. (Notice what comes at the end of verse 42 as in 42 months.) 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear. For those who are dead to self there is no fear of the Beast. The end of this 42 months is the coming of the Lord for His saints.) Some of the crowd kept trying to run away to save themselves. A few others fell on their knees in repentance crying to God because they knew they couldn't save themselves or do anything. (God will bring repentance through judgment to His elect.) As the wave came the brethren had special equipment for the water and they had experience and had been trained to ride the wave, so they were prepared and knew exactly what to do. When the wave came, we were gently lifted up and we just surfed the wave, riding it and some were just walking on the water. (1Th. 4:13 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep.) Everyone else, was wiped out from the wave; but we brethren were all calm and having fun and a great time. (Psa. 37:18-20 Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever. 19 They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away.) Two Visions of a Wave of Destruction Marie Kelton - 2-17-23 (David's notes in red) Vision #1: During our evening meeting, I had a vision of a city with a few tall buildings in it. There were white cars that were parked in the city. (Representing the righteous who are in the rest.) I then saw a huge wave come in from the right and flood the city. (Judgment begins in the house of God then the wicked are judged as we will see. 1Pe. 4:17 For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?) Vision #2: Later on in the meeting I had another vision, of people in a city. The people were trying to run away from a huge wave of water that was coming towards them. (God is going to give His people a 3-year grace period during these times to work in Revival for His People and Kingdom. All provision will be given.) Christ, the Only Sure Foundation Samuel Fire - 11/26/22 “My presence will manifest the provision and care for you to work and to sow for My Kingdom. Be prepared as you can feel the quickening and power to flow all over. Sensitivity to Me allows much of an increase and anointing. Keep in the faith and remain vigilant to speak out the Word and truth. Crush the lies and enemy and keep cutting off the world and [the] carnal and remain separate in sanctification. The foundation is Christ. Being rooted and deep without any form or function of doubt or weakness. Strong and zealous with fervent love to Me. Have everything on the complete and clean foundation of My Word. Take hold and do not let yourself be moved by any distraction. Those who are stronger and solidified in Me and My Son and in the power of My Word can then be revealed and grow with the manifestation of the hidden manna. This amazing and wonderful and exciting treasure will be like finding a rare and precious gem than anything that has been encountered before. As such a treasure you would be diligent to share or speak, as everything would come from Me. Pray, as I know of your desires and delight in Me. But pray that you cannot lose your hold on the perfect, clear, and strong foundation of My Word. All and everything you have hidden and done for Me, shall be openly honored, and given back to Me. Not by works or by boasting, but to do so without seeking any fame or recognition. When you offer and uplift Me in everything, I accept and reward it before the next thought. Think on the spiritual aspect of the creation I made for you. I am and you are and we are already together.” (I saw how there is a spiritual meaning to the existence we know. The vessels, the earth, and all the darkness is like a journey through a maze, to find a way to the exit; like a type of game to get closer and walk with our Father. …We encounter and experience more and grow deeper and more advanced in our trials. Yet, the whole time and until eternity it is as though the Almighty Father had already laid it out before we existed. His delight is this constant relationship. He desires to work through all our lives.) I Have Them in My Hands Debbie Fenske - 2/10/23 “You are on the right path, My children, this straight and narrow path. You must consign yourselves to remaining on this path. Keep your mind, and your eyes, and your feet always going forward in Me. You must not deviate from this path, neither to the left, or to the right. Even as I have chosen you, so, you have chosen Me when you walk this path. This path is a high priority walk of sanctification. This, My children, is My Great Divide. Your walk of total sanctification from this world has you entering My great, set-apart, High Calling. My grace is, and will always be, sufficient for you. My grace keeps you desiring to press on into Me, and into the eternal truths, and glorious wonders that lie ahead of you. I sovereignly am taking away from you all burdens, worry, fear, and constant wondering about those you love who are on the other side. I say to you that you need not worry, or be bothered about them, as I have them in My hands. My light will be shining on them as I bring them along the path set for them. Many will also walk My straight and narrow path that I will set before them. They will desire more of Me through My Word. They will desire My ways, and My will, and how to cross My Great Divide, and on to the path of total sanctification. They will understand. Many will not know how to receive my divine truths. But, My grace will enable them to walk in what they know. They, too, are in My hands. So, My children, rejoice, in your Faithful One! For it will all be good. I have not, and will not reject your prayers. By faith, know that these have chosen me, and they will not be without My mercy. As you know, the present evil will become so much worse. Great evil, and darkness. But all who are Mine are in My hands, no matter what befalls them; some to martyrdom; some I will take up to Me, that they escape the sting of death. Stay the course. Stay strong in your faith, and in your trust in Me and My Words to you, which will always be your shield and your protection.” SERVICES Ubbs Outreach Friday Night Worship CONTACT Share Your Testimony Request Prayer Technical Support Questions SUPPORT US We are a non-profit organisation based in United States. Rory Rodriguez, Dayseeker vocalist talks in-depth with LA Lloyd about their album Dark Sun which was released November 4, 2022. Fans of the Rock 30 have been requesting the new single from Dayseeker called Without Me. As Rory explains, we were encouraged to do a co-write with someone outside the band. That person was Matt Squire, who had worked previously with Panic At The Disco, Te Used and even Demi Lovato. It was a good decision as the song is turning out to be one of their biggest hits.
"One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.” Happy New Year!!!!! Today is the first day of a new year, the first day of a new month, the first day of a new week, and most important, the first day of the rest of your life! Isn't it awesome how God gives us new beginnings all the time! The most important thing you can do each day is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and He promised that He will meet every need in your life (Matthew 6:33). I want to challenge you to seek the Lord daily by reading through your Bible this year. I have prepared two Bible Reading schedules on my Pastor Mike Impact Ministries website. One plan helps you read though the Old Testament once, the New Testament twice, the Psalms twice and the Proverbs every month. This will take about 20 to 25 minutes a day. You can access it at this link and download it or print it: https://www.pmiministries.org/daily-bible-reading-calendar The other schedule plan helps you to read through the Old and New Testament once, and the Psalms twice. This will only take about 10 to 15 minutes a day. You can access it at this link: https://www.pmiministries.org/bible-reading-calendar-plan-b Every month I will be posting the new schedule for that month. I know I said this yesterday, but it bears saying again. In this great chapter, David was confident that if his heart and his worship was right, he could face whatever troubles might come his way. He could deal with the fear of circumstances (vv. 1-6), the fear of failure (vv. 7-10), and the fear of the future (vv. 11-14). Like David, we make the choice every day, to either live with confident faith or live in constant fear! David had learned at an early age that it was a priority each day to seek communion and fellowship with the Lord. So even though he is fleeing from Saul and hiding in the mountains, he had one great desire! “One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek:” David's heart was set on seeking the presence of the Lord in His Word and in prayer as he began each day! The imagery in verses 4-6 is the Old Testament equivalent of "abiding in Christ" (John 15:1-8). In the ancient Near East, when a visitor entered his host's tent, the host was personally responsible for his protection and provision, and the flimsy tent became a fortress. Jesus made it very clear in this passage in John 15 that only as we abide in Him can we be fruit bearers. Remember the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, and so on! Jesus said, this happens as we allow the Word of God to cleanse us (John 15:3). And also as we bear fruit the Father will also “prune” us so we can bear more fruit (v. 2). He does this through trials and difficult things in our lives that challenge us to totally rely on His strength, His grace, and His help for everything we face and do. Jesus said, “Without Me you can do nothing” (v. 5). I have the idea that “nothing” means “nothing”! Please start this year praying for a heart to seek after the Lord every day in private communion and devotion. God bless!
Bible Reading: John 15:1-5Dad walked into Pedro's room to say good night. "You've been quiet tonight, Pedro. What's on your mind?" "I was just thinking about the missionary who spoke at church this week," Pedro said. "I really enjoyed hearing about the work he's doing and how people in the village where he lives are putting their faith in Jesus. It made me wonder if God wants me to be a missionary someday."Dad saw the puzzled frown on Pedro's face. "You don't seem very excited about the idea.""Well, it seems like a hard job--learning a new language and getting used to a different country. Sometimes you have to deal with heat and bugs and snakes--though I wouldn't mind those so much. But I might not be good at missionary work. What if God calls me to do something I can't do?"Dad thought for a moment, then reached over to Pedro's desk and picked up his baseball mitt. "What's this?" asked Dad.Pedro laughed. "It's my baseball glove."Dad walked over to the corner of the room and propped the glove against the wall. "Let's see," he said, looking around. "This will work." He took a ball and tossed it at the glove. Although the ball hit the center of the glove, it rolled to the floor. Dad picked up the glove and shook his head in disgust. "This glove is a total failure."Pedro furrowed his eyebrows. "The glove can't catch the ball by itself, Dad. It has to have a hand inside."Dad smiled. "You're right. You put your hand inside the glove to give it guidance and strength--you give it power to catch the ball. In the same way, God will give you the ability to do whatever He calls you to do--and all Christians are called to tell others about Jesus and show them His love, no matter where we are. He has a purpose for your life, Pedro, just like this glove has a purpose. God will never prop you in a corner and leave you alone. His mighty hand does the work when you're willing to be used. Trust Him to give you the strength and power you need, whether it's to tell people about Jesus in another country or just down the street." -Catherine RunyonHow About You?Have you thought about God's plan for your life? He may call you to help people in a special way as a pastor or missionary, and He calls all Christians to love others and tell people about Him. But He doesn't expect you to do those things on your own--you can only do them through His power. So don't be afraid of God's calling in your life. He will guide you and give you the strength you need to do whatever it is He wants you to do.Today's Key Verse:[Jesus said,] "Without Me you can do nothing." These days, I find that a lot of people feel as though they don't need God. Especially in affluent countries, many feel they lack nothing. Even Christians sometimes go about their day giving little thought to spiritual things. They forget that Jesus said, “Without Me you can do nothing.” I have friends who have expressed to me that they find it difficult, in the busyness of their lives, to find a quiet moment to just sit and listen for God's voice and direction. But this should be of first importance in our day. In the book of John in the Bible we read, “Whoever is of God hears the words of God.” There is real peace and security in learning what God wants of us, and then doing it. I have found that it does my soul a lot of good to unplug from my phone, the television, social media…and just focus on what God has to say to me. Are you listening to God? Do you hear what He is saying to you? This is Andrew Palau. John 8:47 radio.hopewithgod.com

Jesus said, “Without Me you can do nothing.” How will we bring the Three Angels' Messages to a world that sees no need for Christ and salvation? What tools has the enemy used to bring about such a mindset in society? Professor Walter J. Veith gives a history of Jesuit theatre and discusses the effects it has had in all its forms upon society's mindset. Christ has given us a commission to carry the Three Angels' Messages to the world. But how can we do this when society has been dumbed down and we're living among the spiritually dead? It will only happen through faith in Christ, because without Him we can do nothing.
