A world first with The Edible Scroll. Mark interviews Deanna Misko the Founder and CEO of the Edible Scroll along with Karen Toth the COO of this startup company.Almost three years ago now Deanna was given the message from the Lord to create the Edible Scroll. It is an edible scripture for the Body of Christ to use in prayer meditation, teaching, and fasting. The Bible tells us to eat the Word of God. Intellectually, we understand it to be food for our mind, body and spirit. We are honored to introduce you to The Edible Scroll. The first of its kind, it is an edible scripture for the Body of Christ to use in prayer meditation, teaching, and fasting. The Bible tells us to eat the Word of God. Intellectually, we understand it to be food for our mind, body and spirit. It is likened to our daily bread. But there are many believers who still struggle with the idea of what is truly means to “eat the Word”. Traditionally we understand that eating the Word of God means to partake of it by reading and meditating on it daily. Our hope and belief is by offering a new way to receive the Word, we will reach people in a new way, a way that enhances their prayer life and deepens their relationship with God. With this in mind, we are offering the Word of God written with edible ink on edible wafer paper specifically designed to be eaten. We anticipate The Edible Scroll becoming a tool of empowerment that will help believers to become more familiar with God's Word and character. Each scripture has been purposefully and prayerfully chosen to edify, encourage, and educate, while serving as reminder to God's children of how He feels about us and what His Word can do for our lives. With the world in such a state of uncertainty, we believe there is no better time than the present for believers to experience The Edible Scroll. Our wish is to share The Edible Scroll around the globe. We would like to ask your support with helping us spread the edible Word of God with all whom you feel would be inspired and encouraged to eat the scripture. We want to thank you for your consideration in helping us to spread The Edible Scroll to the world. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Mark interviews Christine Ricci, a K9 Behaviorist Specialist. It is amazing what our furry friends think and feel, and this Lady knows when and how! Her business is Bella Dog Psychology and is prepared to help all. All you have to do is ask!Personal Bio ~ Christine Ricci I was raised in Providence Rhode Island. I attended several schools both night and day classes to fit my lifestyle at CCRI. I devoted a large part of my years to raising my two girls before I went back for more schooling online. My business was born out of both my passion and frustration at seeing good dogs go down. I used to practice what I do for my own pure enjoyment when I'd take my girls to the part after school, while they played on the playground I would work with dogs that were there. I had an injury that changed my life, forced me to switch gears and do what I now do full time. Bella Dog Psychology works with all dogs, specializing in both early puppy development teaching humans how to avoid needing my services later on, and the reactive (vicious) dogs where I'm their last resort before being euthanized. I get both puppies and reactive dogs sent to me from all over the country. On a calmer note, I train federal ADA service dogs for people with disabilities, I have much stricter standards than the government as I will not graduate any pup that doesn't pass all 15 tests vs the 12 required by the ADA.

What on earth is Bird Abatement?Do you realize how much damage birds actually do to property and machinery both domestic and commercial if their excrement gets into the wrong places? Never mind your health! The Flock Off System - Revolution in Bird AbatementBio ~ John Smalley Founder/ CEO FlockOff Born and raised in STL Missouri and College @ Southeast Missouri State University and University of Amsterdam. John worked in Corporate America for 15+ years, mainly in Healthcare and Workforce management, and realized that ownership and starting businesses was what he wanted to do. He rose quickly within their ranks through a talent for turnaround/change management and territory development. It was through this season of his professional life that he would arrive in Tucson, which he and his family have called home for over a decade. Like so many, though, John felt a calling towards entrepreneurship, and that calling has run through several iterations – first in consulting, then in an adjacent segment of the healthcare industry, until culminating in his partnership and venture in an industry he and his partners feel is a tremendously underserved industry and ripe for innovation: pest control. Seeking to challenge the existing approach of broad service areas, heavy utilization of chemicals and poisons, and boilerplate service plans, John and his partners believe there is a better – and smarter – way to serve their customers through hyper-local relationships, a heavy emphasis on data analytics as well as technology, and individualized, environmentally-conscious treatment plans. He went full time into serial entrepreneurship. Currently own 7 companies with the plan to have 15 by 2026. Top business priority is to create jobs and commerce in and for Tucson and Arizona. Currently the managing partner for Pest Friends and Flock Off. Goal is to modernize the pest control industry through innovation, technology, data, and data aggregation. Pest Friends was Founded by four friends (Scott Nolen, Wyatt Chambers, Daryl Ross, and John Smalley). We have 35+ years of experience in pest control, 75+ years in management and leadership, and have created and developed over 20 companies between the four members.) His top business priority is to create jobs and commerce in and for Tucson and Arizona. John moved on to another ingenious concept. A scientific Revolution in Bird Abatement! What is it? The Flock Off System The What? The Flock Off System is a revolutionary, high-tech and humane solution to stop birds from landing on structures IMMEDIATELY AND PERMANENTLY. Flock Off can help eliminate the costs, risks, health hazards and damage caused by birds, ONCE AND FOR ALL! The Flock Off System is the best solution for your bird exclusion needs. It is capable of reducing up to 100% of the nuisance caused by birds. It does not use chemicals, poison or traps, rendering it Environmentally Friendly. It can be used for commercial buildings, residences, industries, billboards, and more. HOW IT WORKS - Electromagnetism Migratory and territorial birds utilize an internal GPS system connected to a protein production in their eyes that allows them to “see” directionally through earth's latitudinal and longitudinal gridlines. Flock Off affects this process, creating an Electromagnetic “force field” around any structure that causes birds to simply find it impossible to land. Description automatically generated invisible to humans, this barrier appears to birds as “fireworks” ON/AROUND the surface of their target landing zone. They WILL NOT LAND and will divert elsewhere, FOREVER

Mark's guest is Dr. Kristin Olson-Garewal the CEO and Co-Founder of "The Homing Project" a rapid rehousing project to help homeless people in Tucson. Unlike any other transitional shelter program, "The Housing Project" will provide a home not just a bed including onsite services.Bio ~ J Kristin Olson-Garewal MD Executive Director “The Homing Project” Born in St Paul MN. Oldest Girl of 9 children. We moved frequently to follow my civil engineer father's work on freeway bridges. I did grades 1-12 in parochial school, at first with nuns sent from Ireland to “the mission district of California.” Later I attended an all-girls Catholic high school in Puerto Rico learning Spanish in the process. Then to Boston University's Honors 6 yr. Med Program, finishing with an MD. My internal medicine residency was done at the Boston VA Med Center. Soon after my retirement my son, Raj Garewal asked me to help start a tiny home village for people experiencing homelessness. Raj had worked with a large services center for homeless people in Santa Monica. We had both become concerned with the hundreds of homeless encampments throughout Tucson. So we visited a number of Tucsonans working with the problem of homelessness, Tucson city council members, and tiny home villages in California. Then we started a nonprofit, I resigned my position on Clinical Amistad's Board of Directors due to conflict of interest, and began writing a business plan and applying for grants. Brie has a master's in communications from ASU, completed the ArizonaLEND program, and has two young boys. Her oldest was diagnosed with Autism when he was three years old. The Autism Society of Southern Arizona is one of 75 affiliates across the country. Our mission is to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully. Whether an individual with Autism or a parent of a newly diagnosed child comes seeking information – our organization provides support for a person's emotional, practical, and intellectual needs to build and foster community connections. We offer programs for individuals across the lifespan from parent trainings, teen meetups, adult social club, social skills classes, Autism Friendly Communities, and our Navigating Autism Program. Recently, we partnered with the Pima County Superintendent's Office to create a proclamation that was approved by the board of supervisors on March 15th stating that April is Autism Acceptance Month. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a complex, lifelong developmental condition that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person's social skills, communication, relationships, and self-regulation. The Autism experience is different for everyone. It is defined by a certain set of behaviors and is often referred to as a “spectrum condition” that affects people differently and to varying degrees. While there is currently no known single cause of Autism, early diagnosis helps a person receive resources that can support the choices and opportunities needed to live fully. This Autism Acceptance Month, you can be the connection to help us fulfill our mission. • Educate yourself and share resources • Take action through advocacy • Connect to a local Autism Society affiliate • Attend an Autism Society event • Host a fundraiser • Donate, every dollar helps We are a staff of three part-time parents of children with an autism diagnosis. We just hired a new program/grant coordinator this week! Every day we provide support, programs, and information to the community. We envision a world where everyone in the Autism community is connected to the support they need when they need it - including education, advocacy efforts, and supports and services throughout the lifespan. The impact we are striving for now is to help others understand the importance of fostering acceptance which can lead to improved support and to achieve equity in education, employment, housing, health care and comprehensive long-term service. It is not enough to be aware of autism but to become involved in the community and offer jobs for autistic individuals, a place on the sports team, an invitation to the Birthday party, and become a more inclusive society Company / Organization Website URL: www.as-az.org Company or Guest LinkedIn URL: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brianajs Company / Org Facebook Page URL: https://www.facebook.com/Autismsocietyofsouthernarizona About Katie Frazee & Integrative Touch (InTouch):I was raised in Tucson, and I received a BA in Anthropology (Human Biology) and Sociology (Deviance and Law) from the University of Pennsylvania. After a severe injury, I began to study the regenerative mechanisms of the body accessed through touch, movement, & the energetic healing systems. My work is at the intersection of biology and culture, centering on the value of human connection in healing everything from cells to society. Delivering integrative healing therapies to underserved populations drew me to Integrative Touch's pioneering community-based model, first as a volunteer, and now as Program Director. This episode delves into the world of Assisted Living and its ramifications and a lady that focuses on finding the right facility for her clients within these facilities. Both with excellent reputations they give a comprehensive overview of assisted living in Tucson.About Angelica Valenzuela Owner/Caregiver of Truval Assisted Living Home. A true professional with an extensive career in Public and Nonprofit Management helping vulnerable populations: Homeless, HIV/AIDS, women, and children impacted by HIV/AIDS. For the last eight years, I have focused my mission to serve the elder population through assisted living in Tucson, AZ. I was born in Mexico and educated in the United States. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Florida International University and a master's degree from California State University Northridge University. When I moved to AZ to be closer to my aging parents, I began looking for a new mission and everything pointed to helping elders as my next move to serve others. I began getting educated about the Assisted Living business in Arizona, got certified as a caregiver in the three levels of care (Supervisory, Personal and Directed). I formed Truval Management Services and I started Truval Assisted Living, about eight years ago. Truval Assisted Living is a residential care home in the Catalina Foothills on 4445 North Pontatoc Road. We care for elders that cannot live independently or that their loved ones cannot longer care for them at home due to their need for assistance and care with all their daily activities. Truval is certified by the Arizona Department of Health to care for a maximum of 10 residents at any given time. We care for elders who suffer from any or a combination of aging diseases such as Dementia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, among many other ailments. Our work is non-stop; we provide loving care for elders 24/7. Depending on their level of care we provide as much care as is needed throughout the day and night. We manage their medications, provide their three meals and snacks, we shower them, do their daily laundry, and engage them in daily activities, among many other things we do. Many individuals in our community do not know that Assisted Living Homes exist. They know of the large Nursing facilities. But, Assisted Living services constitute a large segment of the community and a large number of caring individuals that serve our aging population in Tucson. Our work is the collaboration of many people and entities in the community to serve the elder population with dignity and respect. We partner with the AZ Department of Health to maintain compliance with State regulations and to maintain our certification and license as an assisted living home. We also partner with Placement Agencies such as Southern Arizona Placement Agency (SAPA) for referral of new residents and also by word of mouth from previous relatives of residents we've cared for. We also partner with Home Health agencies for Medical Care at our facility and to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations; and with Hospice agencies, to help us with palliative care at the facility during their last stages, so they can pass with dignity and love. Truval Assisted Living Home 4445 N. Pontotoc Rd. Tucson, AZ 85718 Ph. 520.338.2261 / Fax 520.338.2263 About Tess MewI was raised in Tucson AZ. I attended Pima Community College and attended and graduated from the U of A with a BA in Psychology and sociology. I worked with the at-risk substance use and mentally ill population while raising my two boys while attending college for 8 years. I worked at Codac Behavioral Health with at-risk populations including aging clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Codac created a specific position for me to be able to work closely with clients specifically in residential treatment homes and programs in the Tucson community. It was during this time that I became interested in the relationships required to place clients in homes that matched their needs. When I left Codac I assisted a startup company that was interested in doing senior placement referrals. Two years later I decided to start my own company in order to add pieces I felt were missing in this particular industry. Southern Arizona Placement Agency is dedicated to providing seniors and their families with a broad range of options and resources in order to locate quality services for our seniors in southern Arizona. We specialize in identifying the most appropriate and cost-effective level of care. We have close relationships with assisted living communities, assisted living homes, hospice companies, VA benefits, respite care, day programs, in-home care, Arizona long-term care, movers, Medicaid specialists, and many other resources. https://azplacementagency.com linkedin.com/in/tessmew-4146862a (520) 345-0297 siraphim@yahoo.com
