Thanks for finding our podcast! We are a family of 5 who does most of our travel using points and miles (often called travel hacking) and we share how we leverage new credit card offers to earn a lot of points and miles so we can afford travel as a larger family.Follow us on Instagram @TravelPartyof5Click here to apply for the Chase Sapphire Cards we refer to in this episode - we used these points to book all of our flights on this trip. And if you've already got one of the Chase Sapphire cards, you'll want to apply for these business cards, linked here. This is the AirBnB we stayed at!Today we're diving into part 2 of our Italian adventure, focusing on our stay in Sorrento. Join us as we uncover how to maximize your travel experiences using credit card points and miles, while exploring beautiful cafes in Sorrento and enjoying a day at a stunning beach club. Our journey starts in Florence, where we hop on a high-speed train to Naples, then switch to the Circumvesuviana, ending in Sorrento. This charming town, near the Amalfi Coast, is perfect for exploring Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano. Sorrento offers a relaxed atmosphere compared to bustling Amalfi and is more affordable. We stayed in a cozy Airbnb that was ideal for our party of three. While we usually prefer hotels for their amenities, there aren't many on points in this area. Plus, our host provided a detailed map of the best cafes in Sorrento, scenic spots, and must-visit locations, ensuring we made the most of our stay.A highlight was the boat tour to Positano, Ravello, and Amalfi, organized by our Airbnb host. We enjoyed breakfast at a charming cafe in Positano, then headed to Amalfi. From there, we took a bus up to Ravello, escaping the crowded streets of Amalfi for the serene beauty of this hilltop town. The small group size made it even more enjoyable. Our day at the Marameo Beach Club in Sorrento was unforgettable. This adults-only beach club offers towel service, food, drinks, and comfortable lounge chairs. We relaxed by the crystal-clear waters, read our books, drank crisp local white wine, and soaked in stunning cliff views. It was the perfect way to unwind after days of exploring.Pompeii was a must-see, and we opted for a guided tour to get the most out of it. The history and preserved ruins were fascinating, and we learned so much from our guide. When it comes to dining, Sorrento did not disappoint. We had delicious meals, but Enjoy the Little Things Bistro stood out. Recommended by a colleague, this gem in the center of Sorrento offered some of the best food we had on our trip. We loved it so much we ate there twice! The friendly staff, delicious dishes, and cozy atmosphere made it a highlight. We made extensive use of credit card points and miles to cover travel expenses, allowing us to indulge in these amazing experiences without breaking the bank. From booking flights to securing accommodations, leveraging points and miles made our Italian adventure even more rewarding.

There are big changes coming to the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. What will be new and what will stay the same? More importantly, what impact with this construction have for your upcoming Disney vacation? Is the Disneyland Haunted Mansion following the Lead of the Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion?Starting in early 2024, several additions will be built that add to the story of the classic original Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Park.Exactly what this means in terms of ride closure isn't yet clear, but we do know that most the changes appear to be outside of the ride track itself. Here's what we know right now: changes will include an expanded outdoor queue that is intended to further immerse your wait time with enhanced theming. This is something that the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World implemented many years ago. Attention Disney Shoppers: a new Haunted Mansion shop will be added next to the exit area, where currently there are merch carts. Once again, this follows the addition of Memento Mori at Walt Disney World, which was re-imagined from the Yankee Trader shop that was there before. Also, the eerie and stately grounds surrounding the Haunted Mansion will be expanded with a "spirited metamorphosis" to bring the immersive theme to the outdoor space surround the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. In true Disney style, there is the backstory to the Disneyland Haunted Mansion. Local legend suggests that the manor known today as the Haunted Mansion was first built by a prosperous sea captain. To this day, mansion staff faithfully maintains the happy haunting grounds. While this story hasn't been leveraged much so far, the new expanded queue for the Haunted Mansion will tie into these stories, including new gardens inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota and the one-eyed cat. Each of the new gardens will feature unique elements ranging from a water fountain and a gazebo to themed statues and landscaping. You'll even see a new greenhouse where the Haunted Mansion groundskeepers grow their plants. The pet cemetery and horse-drawn funeral hearse will continue to reside on the attraction's grounds.Since Madame Leota has always been a Haunted Mansion favorite, Disney plans to expand her presence outside the walls of the Haunted Mansion. This carriage house of the mansion, which belongs to Madame Leota, will become the new standalone shop.Timing for these enhancements has a lot to do with what's happening next door in New Orleans Square with the Tiana updates. So a transitional space will be added in the form of an park setting with spots to relax and enjoy the ambiance of live entertainment under the shade of new and existing trees. Finally, Disney is taking the opportunity to improve accessibility in these areas during the construction, including a new elevator exit from the Haunted Mansion for guests with disabilities.Disney promises to share more information in the coming months, with a hint that the objects found in Leota's garden will be inspired by her incantation. This sounds very similar to how you can interact with many of the items in the queue of the Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion. We love the murder mystery hidden among the busts in the Haunted Mansion line at the Magic Kingdom. So, can we expect Disney Imagineers to add a similar unique mystery at Disneyland? Only time will tell.--Survey Results: Are Disney's Yacht and Beach Clubs less Desirable without Stormalong Bay?In a survey of 1923 Main Street Disney Travel Podcast listeners following our last episode, the overwhelming majority of respondents said they would not choose to stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort when Stormalong Bay is closed.71.4 % said no, they would not stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort when Stormalong Bay is closed.28.6% said yes, they would still stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort when Stormalong Bay is closed.--Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, Amelia and I hope that you enjoyed it. Sophie Passmann) is begeistert! „QUOI? PARDON? OUI, C‘EST SEHR LECKER! MAIS AUSSI TRÈS CHER! TEUER! YES! ET TRÈS BRUYANT ICI! ZU LAUT! WAS? TIKTOK? Es bleibt also Baywatch Berlin.

Also wohl Scheiß.

THE DEEP CONTROL presents ... DJ Joma (Ireland) "For me, it's all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realising it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date." The fact is I loved pop music years before I even heard of house. I was a child of the Madchester era and still listen to some of it. I like Depeche Mode, New Order, Bananarama and Simply Red and I'm not afraid to confess I own complete catalogues of the Pet Shop Boys and Erasure on vinyl and my favourite album as a kid was for many years Erasure: The Innocents - I wore the cassette out, which made my Dad invest in a CD player for me at Christmas time. The first 7-inch I bought was 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley, the first album 'Actually' by the Pet Shop Boys and the first 12" was 'Domino Dancing' by the Pet Shop Boys. Maybe this is not everyone's cup of tea, but it's who I am. So how did I get here? Well, 25 years ago a friend put into my hands on a Sasha BBC Radio One Essential Mix-tape, and that's when it all started to change. I didn't want to be a DJ to avoid dancing in public, to attract girls and get free drinks, I just liked playing good tunes to friends. In the years since I've DJ'd out and about occasionally and had the best night ever each and every time, but I'm honest enough to know I'm not really a high talented DJ and I really have been lucky to see a few at work and I'm glad for that. During these 25 years, both DJ's and labels have come and gone, and my success has been especially due to the faith and support of the people who are important to me. In recent years, I have taken my music to many places and Eastern Europe, especially Montenegro and Croatia, where in 2019 I was booked to perform for 12 nights consecutively at the the Croatian Open ATP Tennis Tournament in Umag within various Beach clubs and VIP cocktail lounges. As someone who has regularly up-dated his skills at London Sound Academy and has been playing progressively for the last 25 years throughout Europe, and also as someone who learnt with vinyl and now uses CDJ's, I can claim to know what I am doing in theory at least. Although I have developed a style that suits perfectly for the venues that I like to play (Beach Clubs, Cocktail Bars, VIP Lounges, Exclusive Restaurants), what I value the most is that I am always focused on enhancing the overall experience rather than imposing my own style as an artist, and I think that differentiates me from other DJ's. My weekly “Thru The Looking Glass” Podcast show seemed like the natural progression of what I have been doing, and thanks to the help of radio stations like Pure Ibiza Radio, Ibiza Global Radio, Boogie Bunker Radio, Data Transmission, Like That Underground and Ibiza Stardust Radio, it has developed brilliantly with a great following who really appreciate the deep melodic dreamy house music that I showcase each week, and I'm very proud of it's success. I am now starting to produce tracks also. With my production partner; stunning female vocalist: Moon Aton from Hamburg in Germany; we are producing some deep dreamy melodic house tracks with beautiful ethereal vocals. They aren't perfect, nor are they intended to be; but we enjoy making them and maybe some others may enjoy them too, let's wait and see! To date we have had great support from brilliant labels such as Colour & Pitch, Personal Belongings, Nordic Voyage Recordingsand Be Adult Music. American composer Amy Beach was so popular that her followers held ‘Beach Clubs’* to play and listen to her music! Her Quartet for strings is lean and powerful, as well as being a great jump-off into the world of string quartets: a place fraught with danger for the players, where composers go to bare their souls. Take a listen and join the Beach Club! Music here on Youtube or Spotify. (Listening time 21 mins: podcast 7', music 13') Please leave a comment to tell us what you think at Cacophony's website. Please subscribe to the podcast and share widely. If you like this piece, you can buy it here or elsewhere in top quality download (FLAC is ‘lossless quality’, MP3 is compressed, so might loose some impact) for a couple of quid! This isn't an affiliate link, I just want to make sure you get a great recording. It's the Ambache Chamber Ensemble. Please buy recordings! The artists get almost nothing via youtube/Spotify... If you're enjoying Cacophony and want to help, you can support us, by 'buying me a ko-fi'! Thanks for listening! *This means I can milk the terrible Beach pun, cos it was used in her lifetime in the 1930s and 40s!

We ran from beach clubs in rain showers drinking champagne from bottles jumping into pools in our clothes and kissing under lightning, we yelled promises in thunderclapsto never grow old— and I fell in love with you and the absolute certainty it all would last forever. xx Atticus@atticuspoetrywww.atticuspoetry.com

"THE DEEP CONTROL" presents a series of podcasts ! Mine Mía (Barcelona / Ibiza / Cuba) Bio: Born in Havana, to a family of musicians and artists, Mine Mía was destined to be involved in music somehow. Due to the strength of her passion of music and because family lived in Zaragoza, Mine was able to leave Cuba at the age of 19 and attend the University of Zaragoza in Spain where she studied Studio & Audiovisual Production. Years later she settled in Southern Italy to develop a career as a videographer and photographer but music kept calling her and soon she was filming raves and tech house parties throughout the region. It became clear though to her that her real passion was not in the audiovisual world but in music, specifically DJ'ing the best Deep and Tech House party sets possible. The clarity of her passion drove Mine to Ibiza in 2013 where she quickly became the resident DJ at Hotel Migjorn for two years. She did not stay exclusive however, due to high demand from some of Ibiza's best nightspots and beach bars. Her two years in Ibiza saw her play KM5 regularly as well as numerous Beach Clubs on the island like Sushi Point, B.For, Nuba and Sunset Ashram amongst others. 2015 and 2016 became a year of growth. Mine like many other international DJs moved to Barcelona to further her career. Many opportunities came and quickly she was warming up the likes of Simon Baker and Felix Da Housecat at Penelope Club amongst many others. The real highlight came when she was made resident DJ at Under Barcelona which is the premier underground club in the city. There she supports numerous artists regularly including the likes of Oxia amongst others. With two years under her belt of playing in Ibiza at some of the most important venues on the island, followed by residencies in some of the most established and credible venues in Barcelona, be careful 2017, because Mine Mía is on her way.
