Welcome to a Very Special Episode of the podcast celebrating the show's 3rd Anniversary! I started the podcast in March 2021 during the depths of the pandemic, when musicians like me couldn't play live. It was a bleak time for all of us. I needed to find a creative outlet and so I started this podcast. From the beginning it grew quickly and exponentially. It's been ranked for some time now in the Top 1% of all podcasts. I have listeners worldwide on every continent in 200 countries, and it has won several awards! My guests have included many of the world's most famous musicians and other creatives.Last year to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary I played excerpts from several guest interviews. But for this 3rd Anniversary show I wanted to do something different - and fun. So here's what I decided. After each interview I ask my guest to record a short promo for the podcast. I use these promos at the beginning of other guest interviews. Everyone does their promo a little differently in their own style. After all, they're artists! So I thought it would be fun to put together a montage of promos featuring a slew of my guests. The entire list is below.I want to thank my guests and my listeners for the success of the podcast. As I like to say - Keep On Rockin'! Featured Guests:"Cousin Brucie" Morrow, John Lodge, Ted Nugent, Al Kooper, Gary Puckett, Suzi Quatro, Tony Orlando, William Lee Golden, Richie Furay, Peter Noone, Timothy B. The city is one of the fastest-growing in the state, with three colleges, an agricultural center, and big companies like Frito-Lay and Daisy Brands.
Researchers in Michigan modeled a prehistoric land bridge and used AI to predict where caribou–and humans–might have traveled along it. Also, artist Sarah Rosalena uses Indigenous weaving, ceramics, and sculpture practices to create art that challenges tech's future.Using AI To Help Find Ancient Artifacts In The Great LakesAt the bottom of Lake Huron there's a ridge that was once above water. It's called the Alpena Amberley Ridge and goes from northern Michigan to southern Ontario. Nine thousand years ago, people and animals traveled this corridor. But then the lake rose, and signs of life were submerged.Archaeologists were skeptical they'd ever find artifacts from that time. But then John O'Shea, an underwater archaeologist based at the University of Michigan, found something. It was an ancient caribou hunting site. O'Shea realized he needed help finding more. The ridge is about 90 miles long, 9 miles wide and 100 feet underwater.“Underwater research is always like a needle in a haystack,” said O'Shea. “So any clues you can get that help you narrow down and focus … is a real help to us.”That's where artificial intelligence comes in. He teamed up with computer scientist Bob Reynolds from Wayne State University, one of the premier people creating archaeological simulations. And Reynolds and his students created a simulation with artificially intelligent caribou to help them make predictions. An Artist Combines Indigenous Textiles With Modern TechWhen multidisciplinary artist Sarah Rosalena looks at a loom, she thinks about computer programming. “It's an extension of your body, being an algorithm,” she says.Rosalena, a Wixárika descendant and assistant professor of art at the University of California Santa Barbara, combines traditional Indigenous craft—weaving, beadmaking, pottery—with new technologies like AI, data visualization, and 3D-printing. And she also works with scientists to make these otherworldly creations come to life. She involved researchers at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab to make 3D-printed pottery with simulated Martian clay. And she collaborated with the Mount Wilson Observatory to produce intricately beaded tapestries based on early-1900s glass plates captured by the observatory's telescope, which women mathematicians used to make astronomical calculations. And that's also a big focus for Rosalena: spotlighting the overlooked contributions women made to computer science and connecting it to how textiles are traditionally thought of as a woman-based craft. When she first started making this kind of art, Rosalena learned that the Jacquard loom—a textile advancement in the 1800s that operated on a binary punch card system which allowed for mass production of intricate designs—inspired computer science pioneer Ada Lovelace when she was developing the first computer program. “[They] have this looped history,” she says. “And when I weave or do beadwork, it's also recalling that relationship.”But for Rosalena, there is tension and anxiety in her decision to combine new and ancient mediums. “We're at this point of the technological frontier and that's actually terrifying for a lot of people, especially for people from my background and my Wixárika background,” she says. “It's progress for some, but it's not for all.”Part of Rosalena's work is anticipating future forms of colonization, especially amid rapid change in our planet's climate and the rise of AI. “What happens when we bring traditional craft or Indigenous techniques with emerging technology to think about current issues that we are facing? Digital technologies are always chasing after ways that we could simulate our reality, which also produces this way that we could re-envision our reality,” she says.SciFri producer and host of our podcast Universe Of Art D. Peterschmidt sat down with Rosalena to talk about how she approaches her work, why she collaborates with scientists, and how she hopes her art makes people consider today's technological advancements through an Indigenous lens.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com. DOGBONE featuring Keel guitarist Bryan Jay, Keel drummer Dwain Miller, new vocalist Bob Reynolds (7 Angels, Fierce Heart, Grave Danger) and bassist David Dion have released the new single “Speed Kills,” a full throttle heavy metal thrill ride full of dangerous turns and high speed straightaways. The track is featured on RFK Media's “LIVE THE ROCK Volume One” CD and now available on all digital and streaming platforms, along with the relentlessly dizzying lyric video, via http://lnk.to/dogbonespeedkills. Originally formed in the cultural transition between 80's metal and 90's grunge, DOGBONE once included the late great Rhett Forester (RIOT) on vocals. This long-awaited resurrection took place in the wake of the 2020 pandemic when Bryan Jay began working with vocalist Reynolds on tracks for his Digital Assassin TV & film music library, capturing lighting in a bottle with tracks like “Speed Kills.” In addition to running the Digital Assassin music library and sporadic reunion shows with Keel, Jay also was instrumental – playing guitar and arranging music - in the 2001 VH1 film “Hysteria – The Def Leppard Story.” “This song ‘Speed Kills' is the perfect opening statement for the next chapter of this band,” Bryan claims. “We hope that rockers everywhere, Keel fans and all metalheads will keep up with us online and on social media as we put the pedal down. Speed kills – but life and rock & roll will keep us in the fast lane!” “Bryan Jay and I have always been the best of friends and worked together in Keel and on a number of other projects,” explains RFK Media founder Ron Keel. “I must admit, when he sent me ‘Speed Kills' I was both proud and jealous – songs like this put us both on the map, and RFK Media is extremely proud to be part of Dogbone's rebirth.”

URGENT CIA BRIEFING A BLOCK (1:48) SPECIAL COMMENT: Warning or Coincidence? CIA Director Burns urgently briefs Pelosi, McCarthy, Schiff, Gang of 8 at Capitol at close-of-business. Could easily be nothing except it's now public (3:24) that Trump stole classified documents marked HCS, SI, and FISA. It's all in the less-redacted version of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit. (4:05) Judge is again warned SHE is risking national defense (5:53) Trump gives up the pretense and posts a picture of himself wearing a "Q" lapel pin, referencing "The Storm." (6:43) An attack on Liberals to "restore Trump to President-King" is thwarted in Pennsylvania (7:15) Lindsey Graham falls further, announcing an anti-abortion bill that proves McConnell was lying that it was to be "left to the states" (11:03) Lindsey now works for the Mike Lindell party. Lindell says the FBI seized his phone at an Arby's. Then he says it was at a Hardee's. Please lord let the agents have said "Sir, this is a Wendy's." (11:31) And can it get dumber? Yes, if Lauren Boebert is around. Tasked with reading the Bible aloud to a bunch of Christian theocrats, she screws it up and refers to "Wonton Murders." B BLOCK (15:49) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Josephine in Illinois (17:06) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Polling showing Shapiro over Mastriano by 19? Warnock over Walker by 10? Is it legit? (23:21) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Etsy, sponsoring Steve Bannon, competes with Erin Burnett and Brett Favre for the honors. C BLOCK (28:30) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Clinton-Lewinsky persecutor Ken Starr is dead, and so is the rule that you can't speak ill of the dead. He was a harbinger of today's Authoritarian Rules-For-Thee Fascism, and he distracted America from the looming threat of terrorism, and he leaked constantly and illegally, and he let people like NBC News President Andy Lack degrade and demean America - and me, too, when I told him I no longer wanted to do a "news" show designed to fulfill Starr's nakedly political purposes.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There have been a couple of big stories in the European aftermarket print supplies channel in the past few weeks. First, it was announced that the European Commission had rejected a Voluntary Agreement for the imaging equipment sector, saying the proposals didn't go far enough in terms of sustainability targets. That means the EU will now draft its own legislation for the sector. And then, shortly after that, Clover Imaging announced it was pulling out of the European market, with almost immediate effect. What does all this mean for the remanufacturing industry in Europe? Well, that is something that OPI News Editor Andy Braithwaite recently discussed with Gerwald van de Gijp and Bob Reynolds of Armor Print Solutions. I'm remembering Frank on the program today. In 2006 on a beautiful June day at MSU's Forest Akers Golf Course, Frank told me he was hired on September 11, 1972, in the news department at WJR.“At time, I was the youngest newsman they'd ever hired at WJR; I was 22 years old when I started there. People move around a lot in radio. My goal was to be at one place for five years, and I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do next.” Frank cites Van Patrick, Bob Reynolds, and J.P. McCarthy as mentors.Conversation Highlights:On always wanting to be in radio. “I grew up with a tape recorder in my hands and I would announce tabletop games sitting at the dining room table. Then I would watch TV and announce football games that were on television. Then I would critique myself later. My parents had a son who talked to himself at the dining room table so they could either try to nurture that or have me committed, and I'm glad they chose the former!”On the transition from news to sports then to play-by-play: “It wasn't too long after covering the Jimmy Hoffa disappearance – for which we won a lot of awards – that WJR was looking to do some new things in the sports department, which was run by Bob Reynolds at the time.” Frank became sports director when Reynolds retired. He talks about beginning the transition to play-by-play by doing the Lions pre and postgame shows from the studio. Then he lobbied to go on the road to do the show and began to do that. Eventually Mike Lucci left his role as color analyst and Frank began doing color on the game with Bob Reynolds. “One time Bob became ill when we were in Chicago; he went to the hospital with some heart problems. He was out for a couple weeks so I did the play-by-play while he was sick. Bob's health continued to deteriorate, and I became the play-by-play guy for the Lions. It became natural, then, that when Bob Ufer became ill, I got that opportunity, too.”On his surprise when WJR transitioned from U of M to MSU: “I was shocked and stunned. You don't expect 30-year relationships to end that suddenly without warning.” He describes what he says was the right decision that allowed George Blaha to continue to broadcast MSU games while Frank continued to broadcast U of M games. On the notion that he's somehow anti-Spartan: “Tell that to my father-in-law. He's a graduate and has a master's from Michigan State and we get along quite well and never fight. People are going to draw their own opinions, and they're often misguided. Most of the time you can't do anything about that, so I don't worry about it. I've always admired Michigan State. I just happen to be the announcer for the University of Michigan, which is State's big rivals. People should relax and enjoy the lore of the rivalry. There's no need to have any dislike for one another in the rivalry. What bothers me the most is when people feel they can't like me because I do U of M football, as if your affiliation with a college should have anything to do with the way you view a person. I've never understood that. “Michigan State football has always been close to my heart. The first college game I ever saw was in Spartan Stadium when I was at Cousino High School in Warren. My dad was a huge Spartan fan. He resented Michigan because Michigan kept Michigan State out of the Big Ten for so long. He was a guy who always loved the underdog. We always followed Michigan State at my house and cheered for them. I know who I am. I've got great friends at Michigan State. I love them dearly. They're just two different schools. I do Michigan Football. And Michigan State wants to beat Michigan. That's it, end of story for me.”We're remembering WJR radio legend Frank Beckmann talking with me there in 2006. Nine years later in 2015 at that same spot - Forest Akers Golf Course at MSU – Frank reflects on his just-completed 30+ years doing radio play by play for University of Michigan football.Other Highlights:On the changes in college football during his time broadcasting games: “There are people who want to go after it because they think it's too violent. This is a sport that builds character, teamwork, and personal responsibility in young men. All those skills lead to your success in the real world. The game itself is still about blocking and tackling. That's the bottom line. You can have all the spread offenses and throw the ball all over the place. You still must block and tackle. If you don't do that, you can't play football and that's never going to change.”On the beginning of the Harbaugh/Dantonio rivalry: “Harbaugh will bring Michigan back; he's a terrific coach. Mark Dantonio has done a super job at MSU. He's put Michigan State into the upper echelon of college football. Jim Harbaugh has a chance to do that at Michigan. He's been successful everywhere he's been. My question is how long will he stay at Michigan? His track record is that he stays somewhere for about four years and then he's out.“It's great to be here. I love East Lansing. I love the golf course. I love the people here. I've always had a great relationship with the people at MSU and I hope it continues for many more years.” MSU Today airs Sunday mornings at 9:00 on WKAR News/Talk and Sunday nights at 8:00 on 760 WJR. As 2021 comes to a close, it's a good time to reflect on the year that was. As we made progress against Covid, the battle rages on. Still, 2021 was a great year for General Aviation. Many people have decided now is the time to start their aviation journey. Flight Schools are extremely active and plane inventory & availability is tight as people start to check off bucket list items at a fast pace. That not only goes for new pilots, but existing ones that are reaching new heights. That is the case for Bob Reynolds. Since then, Bob earned his Cirrus Vision Jet type rating and has been building time via some great adventures. Join us on this week's episode as Bob talks about his new aviation journey, including the costs, challenges, and the joy of following his dream. "Snarky Puppy" are an American instrumental ensemble led by bassist Michael League. The group's formation can be traced back to 2004, after Micheal League's second year at the University of North Texas. He says that he was so bad as a musician he wasn't able to play with any school ensembles, so creating "Snarky Puppy" was his way of getting to play live.Straight out of the gate the group consisted of 10 members. Since those early days they have gone on to release 14 albums, toured the world, and collaborated with an ever evolving carousel of live musicians as well as with solo artists and orchestras. This year musicians and creative people have had to confront themselves, their work, and their ambitions head on, and Bob Reynolds is no exception. But unlike so many of us, Bob already had some mechanisms in place to process that struggle in a creative way. Bob Reynolds is a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist, composer, and educator known for his work with Snarky Puppy, John Mayer, and 12 solo albums. He is no stranger to large stages and tour busses. At the same time, much of his career has been a series of self generated projects. On his YouTube channel, he shares tips, tricks, anecdotes and ideas, and he has coached thousands of students through his online Virtual Studio. I found Bob at the crossroads of what’s happening and where am I going, and we had a beautiful talk about managing that existential crisis that so many of us are having. He talked about his influences, approach, playing with Snarky Puppy, John Mayer, the subtle but significant distinction between practice and the practice, what it means to make music with sincerity, and finding himself on tour in Spain and Italy last March just as Covid was descending on Europe. www.third-story.com www.patreon.com/thirdstorypodcast www.bobreynoldsmusic.com
This week’s interview was an absolute treat for me as I got to sit down and talk bass with one of my heroes, the incredible bass guitar virtuoso Janek Gwizdala. Janek has toured and recorded with modern jazz legends such as Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Bob Reynolds, JoJo Mayer and released multiple albums as a solo artist. He’s also a high profile educator and author with a huge online presence both through Youtube and his website. As a player, Janek is simply incredible both as a traditional groove player and as an improvising soloist. From a soloing standpoint, Janek has developed a beautifully lyrical style of playing and in this interview I delve into how he was able to nurture such a highly developed vocabulary on the instrument. We also talk in depth about practice in general, the value of transcription and the impact of social media on modern music. Covid-19 has impacted so many people across the globe in some physical or emotional way. The specifics are tough to recount. To say we need to find a way to "de-stress" is an understatement. For many of us, we find our escape in flying. And tonight's guest, takes that to an extreme. Meet Bob Reynolds, a Chicago pilot that uses his SR22 to see the USA at safe, but low altitudes. His last minute trips to points of interest from coast to coast will probably leave you green with envy. Despite the distraction and impact of the Corona virus, Bob saw an opportunity to take his mission to the next level. Bob heard about pilots taking advantage of the reduction in air carrier flights, by adding their local Bravo airport to their logbook. That included many Chicago private pilots who landed at O'Hare. Bob said, "why stay local?", as he set out to land at every Bravo airport in the US. It's an incredible story and we're honored that Bob was willing to share it with all of us. Please join us for a ride of a lifetime. We're interested to have you join the discussion with your opinion and any questions you have of the SimpleFlight crew. And at the same time, share your thoughts with the rest of the SimpleFlight Facebook and Instagram community @simpleflightradio Thanks for being a part of the SimpleFlight Family!!

Jay Jennings is a 3 time Grammy award winning jazz trumpeter with jazz super group Snarky Puppy. His newest project, The YAYennings Quartet, was born upon his move to Los Angeles in 2017. The group consists of Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy, John Mayer), Jose Perez (Poncho Sanchez) and Ross Schodek (Poncho Sanchez). It is a chordless quartet with an early 1950’s west coast bebop sound. All compositions written by Jay Jennings. Jay grew up in the small town of Grapevine, TX. He was lucky to have a piano in the house growing up, which he considers his introduction to music education. Jennings started playing the trumpet at age 11, and by 15 he was already playing professionally. In high school he was selected to the Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble both sophomore and senior years and was selected for the High School Grammy Jazz Ensemble, which performed at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Jennings auditioned as a college freshman and was selected for a jazz soloist chair in the world renowned One O'clock Lab Band at University of North Texas. When he was 22 he joined the Dallas based, symphonic rock band The Polyphonic Spree. He recorded and toured with them until moving to Brooklyn, NY in 2009. Jennings eventually began touring with capital records artist Eli "Paperboy" Reed in 2010. Over his career, Jay has backed up some of the world's finest artists such as Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The O'Jays, David Bowie, Michael McDonald, David Crosby, Lee Fields, James Taylor, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, The Four Tops and many more. Currently, Jay is touring with country music star Toby Keith and is living in Los Angeles, CA. He continues to record and tour with the Grammy Award winning band, Snarky Puppy. Jennings is launching his own solo career with The YAYennings Quartet. Be on the look out for his upcoming release entitled “Scott Ave” set to drop in February of 2019.

Filmmaker Lorenzo DeStefano and his team have created a dynamic and engaging portrait of nearly two years in the life of a tight knit American family, a single mom and her two kids, living paycheck to paycheck in working class Oxnard, California, with Rachel’s stunning music as the soundtrack. “Hearing is Believing” revels in Rachel’s joyous and free-flowing love of song, illuminating the bonds of family and the divine mysteries of creativity. Rachel Flowers is a true survivor, a hyper-abled individual whose inspiring story has the potential to be a beacon of hope out there. Appearing with Rachel in “Hearing is Believing” are Grammy winners Arturo Sandoval, Stevie Wonder, Dweezil Zappa, two-time Grammy nominated jazz pianist, Taylor Eigsti, the late Progressive Rock icon Keith Emerson, Hawaii ukulele master Benny Chong, and 50 members of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony performing Rachel's original composition, “At The End Of The Day”. Rachel has appeared at the Havana International Jazz Festival (2016), Progfest 2017 & 2018, and at the PDX Portland Jazz Festival (2018). She has shared the stage with Dweezil Zappa, Arturo Sandoval, Taylor Eigsti, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Marc Bonilla, Jordan Rudess, Steve Porcaro, Rick Wakeman, Burt Bacharach, Bob Reynolds, Cuban legends Bobby Carcassés, Bellita Y Jazz Tumbatá, and Orlando "Maraca" Valle, the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra and the Birmingham (UK) Symphony Orchestra. Rachel has performed since her youth for Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, Herb Alpert, and Wayne Shorter. She has three albums in release – “Listen” (2016), “Hearing is Believing Motion Picture Soundtrack” (2017), and “Going Somewhere” (2018). Rachel is a very active part of several jazz lineups in California and is composing original songs and works for orchestra, jazz combo, piano, and voice. At this point in her eventful musical career she is deeply exploratory, forging a variety of stylings as immensely accomplished as they are uniquely her own.

This Week: March is a vivid first-hand account of John Lewis' lifelong struggle for civil and human rights, meditating in the modern age on the distance traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. Rooted in Lewis' personal story, it also reflects on the highs and lows of the broader civil rights movement. Book One spans John Lewis' youth in rural Alabama, his life-changing meeting with Martin Luther King, Jr., the birth of the Nashville Student Movement, and their battle to tear down segregation through nonviolent lunch counter sit-ins, building to a stunning climax on the steps of City Hall. Many years ago, John Lewis and other student activists drew inspiration from the 1958 comic book "Martin Luther King and the Montgomery Story." Now, his own comics bring those days to life for a new audience, testifying to a movement whose echoes will be heard for generations. While I’ve been in the retirement plan business for over twenty years now, one thing I had never found was an easy to read book that an employer or someone new to the business could pick up and finish in one or two sittings and get their arms around where our retirement plan system has been, where it is today and some ideas on where it is headed in the future. My guest today Bob Reynolds, the President and CEO of both Putnam Investment and Great-West Financial must have shared my frustration and taken it upon himself to fill the void! During our conversation, we explore mostly his thoughts on how our retirement system is doing today and some recommendations for employers he highlights in his new book, From Here to Security: How Workplace Retirement Plans Can Keep America’s Promise. As you will hear, while our system is not perfect it is a strong and healthy but needs the ongoing leadership of employers to improve retirement plan coverage within the workforce and to help employees who already have access to retirement plans advance farther down the path towards a successfully replacing their income in retirement. I won't steal Bob's thunder, but don’t you worry, we leave you with plenty of great ideas and strategies you can bring to your next retirement plan committee meeting. Guest Bio Robert L. As lawmakers get closer and closer to tax reform – and have to find a way to pay for it – it is becoming increasingly likely that they will seek to alter the tax incentives supporting workplace retirement savings. Bob Reynolds, president and CEO of Great West Financial and Putnam Investments, sees this as a dangerous and counter-productive change to our national retirement savings policy. Reynolds’ new book, From Here to Security, describes the history and strengths of the 401(k) savings system and makes the case for building on that system by making wise policy decisions to enhance their effectiveness. In this episode, he talks with host Jason Hammersla about workplace coverage challenges, the power of automatic features and other opportunities to strengthen the system.

(http://www.advanceyourart.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/IMG_1731-1_680px.jpg) This was one of my first episodes launched this summer and didn’t get as much attention I would have liked during the summer months. If you haven’t listed to this one yet it’s worth it. MEET BOB REYNOLDS: It’s a rare saxophonist who’s as comfortable in an arena full of rock fans as in an intimate jazz club. Bob Reynolds is a rare saxophonist. Reynolds spent years touring the world in John Mayer’s band, winning new fans with his solos on crowd favorites like “Vultures,” “Wheel,” “Gravity” and “Covered in Rain.” Watch his performances on YouTube and you’ll see hundreds of accolades from admiring fans—not a normal occurrence for a saxophonist in a rock band. Reynolds’ partnership with Mayer reminds many of Sting’s collaborations with Branford Marsalis in the 1980s. Both he and Mayer are big fans of that band. Reynolds has recorded and performed with everyone from Usher, Josh Groban and the Jonas Brothers to Amos Lee, Willie Nelson and Nellie McKay. He calls himself a “melody architect” and refuses to be boxed in by conventional genre labels. A child of the 80s, Reynolds’ music is a blend of his early influences (Sting, Bruce Hornsby, Tears for Fears), R&B and soul (Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder), and jazz (Stan Getz, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter). At the same time as he’s been touring the world to packed stadiums and playing with A-list superstars, Reynolds has stayed true to his jazz roots with performances in clubs across the U.S. Three of his five albums were recorded live with a who’s who of the jazz and rock worlds, including keyboardist Aaron Goldberg, guitarist Mike Moreno, bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Keith Carlock, who’s toured with both Sting and Mayer. Reynolds’ records reflect his affinity for the jazz tradition at the same time as they display his skill with pop music. He makes the music he wants without compromise. For Reynolds, music is about communication with the listeners. The title of his latest recording, Somewhere in Between, suggests his ability to cross genres. The album features jazz heavyweights Eric Harland on drums and Aaron Parks on piano, along with keyboardist Oli Rockberger of Mister Barrington and, on two tracks, John Mayer. It’s a seamless and fearless blend of jazz, blues, rock and pop. Inventive. Unconventional. An instantly recognizable player with his own musical vision who still finds a way to fit in no matter what the situation. As a leader or a band member, Reynolds is focused on melody, connection and emotion. Say it again: Bob Reynolds is a rare saxophonist.
