Brad begins by discussing the news that Trump is off the ballot in Maine and what that means in the wake of the Colorado decisions. He breaks down why the complexity and tumult of these decisions does not warrant objection to them and why they are necessary in order to safeguard democracy. In the second segment he decodes Nikki Haley's weak answer on the causes of the Civil War (and her follow up remarks), showing how she winked at Neo-Confederates and others in her answer. He references a fight over a Confederate monument in Arglington Cemetery as proof that these debates rage on in 2023. He finally addresses an incident in Massachussets where a police office visited a classroom searching for a book that a parent complained about. In the final moments, he airs his grievances from 2023: Mike Johnson, In n Out, Cauliflower "rice." SAUCE Mix the cornstarch with a splash of the water. Then add the remaining Sauce ingredients, including remaining water. CRISPY BEEF AND STIR FRY Add 1/4 cup cornstarch and use your fingers to lightly coat the beef. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a wok (Note 2) over medium high heat. Add 1/2 the beef and cook the first side for around 45 seconds or until golden and crisp. Then flip (I use an egg flip) and cook the other side for 30 - 45 seconds until golden and crisp. Remove onto a paper towel lined plate. Repeat with remaining beef. Discard the oil, leaving behind about 1 tablespoon in the wok. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté for about 15 seconds. Don't let it burn! Add the Sauce into the wok. Bring it to a simmer and let it cook for about 1 1/2 minutes or until it thickens into a glossy sticky sauce. While fast food restaurants and QSRs are finding new ways to keep up with the plant-based boom, Chipotle has taken a little bit longer to hop on the bandwagon. The chain does offer a tofu-based filling, but is currently working on more plant-based alternatives like cauliflower rice to offer customers. Most places are opting for meat alternatives like Beyond Meat or Impossible Burgers, but Chipotle is looking for options that are "less-processed" according to a report by Bloomberg.

Slice some spring onions. Slice some red onion. Slice some mushrooms. With a nice heavy pestle in your dominant hand grind the black peppercorns to a rough coarse texture in your mortar. In a hot frying pan fry up the speck to render out the fat. Cook the speck until it has changed colour to a golden brown but not burnt. Toss in the prawns and cook until the prawns change colour to red. Toss in the scallops and fry up with the speck and prawns until the surface of the scallop meat begins to whiten. Transfer the speck, prawns, and scallop meat to a bowl and leave the pig fat in the frying pan. Toss in the sliced mushrooms and some of the spring onions and cook until soft. Keep some of the spring onions aside for the final garnish. Add a splash of sherry and keep the mushrooms and spring onions moving in the frying pan. While the mushrooms and spring onions are absorbing the sherry and pig fat, cook the cauliflower rice using microwave radiation according to the instructions on the packet of cauliflower rice. Once the cauliflower rice has been cooked, toss it all into the frying pan and combine the cauliflower rice with the mushrooms and spring onions. Add a good splash of soy sauce and stir through. Add in the speck, prawns and scallop meat and combine everything. Transfer everything in the frying pan to a bowl. Garnish with the coarse pepper and spring onions. Eat with chopsticks

Triple pork fried cauliflower rice Show notes at https://yumlum.co/375pDWR and https://yumlum.co/3boHoDF Triple pork fried cauliflower rice sounds a bit weird but it was the best I could come up with at short notice. It’s been a bit crazy at work and I only got home at about 4 pm and didn’t feel like doing a long cook. I will be cooking some duck breasts tonight by sous vide but for tea I wanted something relatively easy. I decided since I had pork rashers, pork sausages, and lup chong that I had a triple threat of pork. I’m still eschewing carbs, so the fried rice had to be cauliflower rice. I know what you’re thinking, where’s the bacon? I did think of buying some bacon but I decided against it. Can you believe it? I’m eating more pork in preparation for shortages in case African Swine Fever virus infection becomes more of a problem which will mean Australian pork will be in higher demand from overseas pork lovers, especially the Chinese market which has been affected by ASF. Questions and answers Is pork your favourite meat? As much as I love a tender and juicy rare rib steak, the versatility of pork is what makes it my favourite meat. Being basian helps too because so many basians and Asians love pork. I mean Triple pork when three is better than one or two. Is cauliflower really a substitute for rice? As a low carbohydrate alternative, you bet it is. Will ASF get to Australia? I hope not. ASF in Australia would be a disaster for the pork industry. The prices for any pork let alone Triple pork will skyrocket. Final thoughts Do you like pork? Do you like the idea of triple pork? What do you think of cauliflower rice? Would you add pork fat to fried cauliflower rice? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/randomyummy/message

As more and more people have become wise to the negative health effects of consuming things like rice, they are embracing more low-carb, keto-friendly options such as cauliflower rice instead. But this growing trend of eschewing the carbs for healthier options has started to cut into the sales of traditional rice in states like Arkansas so much now that state lawmakers there have passed a bill banning the sale of cauliflower rice. Read the shocking details of this below. Arkansas Legislature Saves Residents From Accidentally Eating Rice Made From Cauliflower: https://reason.com/2019/03/29/arkansas-legislature-saves-residents-fro/ This is yet another all-out assault on real food and keto says health podcaster and international bestselling author of KETO CLARITY Jimmy Moore who encourages people to stand against this kind of thing when it happens. Their stated reason for doing this is because of the economic implications on the state of Arkansas being much more important than the collective health choices of the residents there. Watch to hear Jimmy share more about this and how truly ridiculous it is in this video.

In this episode I share a new episode. I picked this one basically because I have eaten most of the ingredients. It's shrimp with a Chinese tint to it. Make your own takeout but swap the white rice for riced cauliflower! This fried “rice” dish is packed with pea pods and carrots for color and water chestnuts for crunch. Plus, shrimp is a quick cooking protein when time is of the essence. Finish each dish with thinly sliced green onion and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for restaurant-style presentation.SPONSOR: PLAN TO EATIf you are looking for a great meal planner, recipe organizer, and grocery list creation tool, you've found it. I made today's recipe while having my app in the cooking view, and it made it so easy. Check it out at www.podclick.me/plantoeatTesting the New Shrimp Cauliflower DishI had to be sesame oil (which isn't cheap) and shrimp (also not cheap), and the rest I could find in the produce section (so dicing the garlic and ginger were done).I bought carrot sticks and just broke them up. Super easy meal prep. You mix the sesame oil and garlic and (more or less) end up cooking everything in it. In the DUH! department, upon first eating it - it didn't taste like anything else I had ever eaten. Maybe because I had never eaten this dish...It didn't take long to cook, and didn't create much of a mess. I bought frozen cauliflower rice (which was about $2 cheaper than the nonfrozen).  I Think There is An Easier WayI think if I make this again, instead of buying the carrots and peas you can buy frozen cauliflower rice and peas already in it. I might mix in some sesame oil after cooking the rice in the microwave. Then cook the egg in the sesame oil and add the salt and pepper. The other thing I would do (as I live alone) is I might not use the full bag of shrimp. It makes a LOT with the rice, veggies, and shrimp. If I cook this again I'm going to buy the rice with the veggies in it, and only use whatever I feel is "one serving of shrimp." I ate this meal the next day for lunch and the shrimp had turned somewhat gray, and I felt like I was pressing my luck. By only mixing in one serving of shrimp, I lower the cost, and enable myself to eat it again without the worry. If you're feeding more than one, you won't have this issue. I feel I could've fed about four people with the full bad of shrimp, cauliflower, veggies, and veggies. The dish also has some "Zip" to it due to the pepper I believe so I might cut back on that as well (if you don't like too much zip in your meal). All in all I liked this dish. It was easy to make, not too messy, and pretty filling. Check out the recipe at https://www.plantoeat.com/recipes/24785286Try Plan to Eat for free go to www.podclick.me/plantoeat
