It's Fun Day Monday on The Majority Report On today's program: ABC's Jonathan Karl tells Mayor Zohran Mamdani that the Republicans will make him the face of the Democratic party to which Mamdani responds with, "let them". The mayor then lists all of the accomplishments of his administration - a list that would be impressive for an entire term, let alone in just under 7 months in office. Jen Psaki asks Rep. AOC to respond to Sen. Elissa Slotkin's call for the need for change in Democratic leadership. Cortez says that if elected officials are going to call for change, then they need to elaborate on what kind of change they're talking about. Do you want the party to be abashedly working class or do you want to deepen the ties between he parties and its corporate donors. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson holds a press conference where he reads the platform of the Democratic Socialists of America. Speaker Johnson fails at fear mongering as the platform sounds reasonable and includes some ideas that even conservatives would agree with. We are joined by Sufia Khalid, deputy director of the National Security Criminal Defense Center at the Muslim Legal Fund of America and an attorney for one of the Prairieland Nine—a group of anti-ICE protesters in Texas who were sentenced to 30 to 100 years in prison after federal prosecutors accused them of being an "antifa terror cell." Chris Geidner, journalist and publisher of the Law Dork newsletter, joins the program to discuss the past week's Supreme Court rulings. In the Fun Half: If one throws a Great American 250 State Fair in the Mall of DC but no one is around to see it, did it really happen? Fox News says that thousands of people are participating but unfortunately the camera shows that there aren't even hundreds of people at the fair. Meanwhile down the street from the fair at the reflecting pool the National Guard is patrolling for loiters as a recorded announcement warns people to keep it moving. Rep. Thomas Massie is stopped on the street by a Fox digital reporter and asked about some of his scandals to which Massie responds by calling the reporter gay. Senator Ted Cruz says that antisemitism is a gateway drug to anticapitalism. Renowned idiot Dave Smith blames the Iran war's historic unpopularity for the rise in socialism. All that and more. It's Casual Friday on The Majority Report On today's program: Zohran Mamdani delivers on two of his biggest campaign promises. The NYC mayor has secured $1.2B in funding to expand universal childcare from 2,000 seats to 12,000. Additionally, the NYC Rent Board has voted to freeze the rent on rent-controlled apartments - this applies to over a million apartments throughout the five boroughs. Megyn Kelly celebrates the Supreme Court revoking Temporary Protection Status from at least 350,000 refugees from Haiti and Syria with a racist rant. Ta-Nehisi Coates, author and journalist, joins the program for a conversation about his piece in Vanity Fair: "Did Kamala Harris' Silence on Gaza Cost Her the White House?" In the Fun Half: Governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro warns the DSA candidates that won their primaries that they won't be able to just engage in "performative politics" and eventually will have to deliver on their promises. Rep. Tom Suozzi goes on Fox News to "push back" against Mamdani's endorsed candidates. It's an Emmajority Report Thursday on The Majority Report On today's program: Hakeem Jeffries tries to downplay the genocide's role played in motivating voters to support DSA-aligned candidates in Tuesday's primaries by touting pro-genocide Rep. Ritchie Torres' landslide victory over an anti-genocide candidate. Jeffries implies that Israel's genocide is a wealthy voter issue whereas working class people are not interested in that issue which is in direct contrast with polling data. DSA co-chairs Grace Mausser and Gustavo Gordillo join the program to reflect on Tuesday's huge victories in New York City. Tracie McMillan, journalist and author, joins the program to discuss her pieces published in The Guardian US on property management companies pillaging renters through absurd fees; 'Extremely overwhelmed': apartment renters face rising tide of fees and US renters call for action to combat surge of 'take it or leave it' apartment fees In the Fun Half: Brand Sutton and Matt Binder join. Morning Joe Scarborough claims to be fed up with false accusations of antisemitism towards voters and politicians who take a stand on Israel's genocide. The message is slightly refreshing although three years late and ignorantly focused exclusively on Benjamin Netanyahu. Dana Bash tries to corner Morris Katz by saying why is AIPAC is so important to voters and not other sources of dark money. Katz argues that crypto and private equity get the same attention as AIPAC. Katz adds in regard to AIPAC that if people see you abandon one group, they know it's only a matter of time before they abandon their group. Claire Valdez is asked on CNN if she can fit within the same tent as other Democrats like John Fetterman and Josh Gottheimer.  Valdez responds by saying that the Democratic base disagrees with Fetterman and Gottheimer and they would be wise to listen to the people who put them in their offices. Candace Owens is now claiming to have memory holed the months following Charlie's death which conveniently allows her to "recover" conversations from that time regarding Erika Kirk. Kooooooooky. Welcome back to The Majority Report On today's program: The DSA slate wins the New York Democratic primaries in a sweep. Zohran Mamdani delivers a powerful speech at Claire Valdez's election party. A DSA chair tells Hasan Piker on his stream that his phone banking drive on behalf of Darializa Avila Chevalier yesterday identified 2,000 voters which is essentially the margin of victory. Centrist Dem consultant Neera Tanden tries to pump the brakes on the DSA's victory by saying it won't work in rural states. I guess she hasn't heard of Graham Platner. Political strategist Morris Katz, who served as Zohran Mamdani's lead media strategist for his mayoral campaign, joins us to take a victory lap after the huge DSA win last night. We end the free half by taking a look at some of the best centrist Dem meltdowns over the primaries. In the Fun Half: We take a look at a few GOP meltdowns over the NY primaries. If you are available to phone bank for the DSA slate in New York today from 4pm EST until the polls close you can find the information here. Susan Collins says that she does not regret casting the deciding vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Collins went on to say that Kavanaugh was not the deciding vote in the 6-3 ruling to overturn Roe V. Wade. The problem with that is that the vote was not 6-3, it was 5-4 and Kavanaugh was in fact the deciding vote to overturn Roe v. Wade. Collins' opponent Graham Platner says that the Senator's comments are either a lie or ignorance - both of which are disqualifying. Rick Perlstein, historian and author, joins to discuss his piece published on his Substack on Alan Greenspan: "Speak Ill of the Dead - Early and Often, Please". In the Fun Half: Fox News is very scared of the Democratic Socialists of America momentum heading into this year's midterms. Candidate for New York's 13th congressional district, Darializa Avila Chevelier is harassed in the streets by two psychos calling her a "Jew hater". Donald Trump has tasked the national guard with monitoring for people dipping their fingers in the DC reflecting pool. Multiple have been detained for simply touching the reflecting pool. The president is speculated to have received an experimental GLP-1. What if the reason you're not getting anything done has nothing to do with laziness, lack of discipline, or poor time management? Brain fog is a biological response to overwhelm, and once you understand what is driving it, clearing it becomes a matter of strategy rather than willpower. On Salad with a Side of Fries, host Jenn Trepeck delivers one of her most personal and practical episodes yet, tracing her own experience of brain fog through months of compounding stress and sharing every tool that helped her climb back out. From targeted nutritional supplements like magnesium, ashwagandha, and activated B vitamins, to the biochemical power of novelty, strength training, and social connection, Jenn lays out a morning, midday, and evening framework built around activation, adaptation, and restoration. This is not a surface-level conversation about productivity hacks. This is the science of resilience building applied to real life, with real results. What You Will Learn in This Episode:✅ Why brain fog is not a discipline problem but a biological response to layered overwhelm, and how the gut-brain connection, postbiotics, and targeted antioxidants work together beneath the surface to restore cognitive function and get your brain fully back online.✅ How movement goes far beyond the gym: why changing your walk route, adding intervals, doing squats before a meeting, and keeping light weights nearby are all proven strategies for increasing blood flow and boosting brain energy throughout the day.✅ Why novelty is one of the most powerful and underused tools for mental clarity, and how activities that demand your full attention, from learning a new language to trying a completely unfamiliar experience, actively protect against cognitive decline and sharpen neural connections.✅ How the foods you eat and the ones you avoid directly shape your brain health, why dark leafy greens, blueberries, and beans support memory and slow cognitive decline, and why ultra-processed foods are directly linked to dementia, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The Salad With a Side of Fries podcast, hosted by Jenn Trepeck, explores real-life wellness and weight-loss topics, debunking myths, misinformation, and flawed science surrounding nutrition and the food industry. Let's dive into wellness and weight loss for real life, including drinking, eating out, and skipping the grocery store.TIMESTAMPS:00:00 Clearing brain fog and restoring mental clarity for real life03:07 Recognizing brain fog through observable behaviors: procrastination, lost productivity, inability to focus, and decision fatigue06:07 The three layers of overwhelm fueling mental fatigue: to-do list stress, emotional trauma, and relentless input overload12:09 The wired-but-tired cycle explained: how burnout, late nights, and disrupted sleep quietly destroy focus and brain energy17:51 Shifting from stimulants to solutions: building daily, calm energy with adaptogens, magnesium, and B vitamins for lasting resilience22:15 Morning activation framework: movement, probiotics, vitamin D3, protein-forward meals, and creatine to power up brain energy25:53 Midday adaptation strategies: breaks, deep breathing, single-tasking, and releasing pressure to force productivity31:19 Evening restoration: how CBD gummies, magnesium, and adaptogenic herbs quiet the mind and support deep restorative sleep34:27 Power up your walk and why strength training and resistance work are non-negotiable for brain health, long-term cognitive function, and longevity37:00 Novelty and new experiences spark brain energy and guard against cognitive decline41:10 Brain-supporting foods explained: dark leafy greens, blueberries, beans, and folate-rich choices that slow cognitive decline44:34 Supplement timing strategy: B complex and adaptogenic herbs in the morning and midday, magnesium and ashwagandha at night45:42 The gut-brain connection: how probiotics, postbiotics, fiber, and antioxidants work together to restore cognitive functionKEY TAKEAWAYS:

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!   I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Lynette: I have Celiac Disease and worry about cross-contamination when eating at restaurants or friends' homes. People have suggested taking a gluten digestive enzyme, but I don't want to digest gluten. Is there anything I can take prior to eating that would rid my body of gluten, should I unknowingly come into contact with it? I'm a "silent celiac" so don't experience immediate GI upset, but instead suffer joint pain, headaches, and skin issues afterward. Living gluten-free out in the world is tough, so any suggestions to make things easier and safer are appreciated. Thanks!                                          Anonymous: I received a complimentary bottle of CBD Gummies -- thanks! Are there any contraindications with taking them? I'm thinking about them for my older parents, who are on the typical American old-age pharmaceuticals, including high blood pressure medication, statins, and Gabapentin. Will the gummies help with general aches and pains? Thank you.                                                                                                                                                                                            Sarah: I did labs through Equilife and found that my testosterone and DHEA were significantly low. For reference, I am a 49 year-old perimenopausal female. I started using about 8 mg of DHEA orally daily. (at that point I had 25 mg capsules I was splitting) Within three days of starting I had some longer lasting cystic acne on my face starting to appear. I gave it a few weeks to resolve and then began 25 mg of 7 keto DHEA daily and have had no acne breakouts at all. On my call with my IHP through Equilife to follow up from the labs, I was told that 7 keto DHEA is the same as regular DHEA and is likely just a marketing tool. Can you tell me why I reacted significantly different to the 7 keto DHEA? Several companies, some quite reputable sell it, do you recommend it in my case?                                              Anonymous: Hello, I appreciate the work you do, and would like your input to help me make a purchasing decision. I wanted to buy some Japanese selvedge jeans and notice they contain 2% Polyurethane. I had difficulty establishing whether the use of Polyurethane in clothing is harmful and wanted to know if you could direct me to resources which could provide me with more insight on this topic? Please let me know.                                                                                               Anonymous: I struggle with brain fog and low energy in the afternoons, even though I get enough sleep. Could this be related to blood sugar balance, and if so, what are some easy ways to stabilize it throughout the day?               Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3558 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Imposter Syndrome Is a Myth [ep. 175]

Imposter syndrome is a myth. Well, mostly anyway. We'll unpack this concept of imposter syndrome, or rather, imposter phenomenon, emphasizing that the common perception of it as a 'syndrome' is misleading. In this first part of our two-part series, you'll get a historical overview of this phenomenon, which starts with the work of Dr. Pauline Clance and Dr. Suzanne Imes' research in the 1970s. Most importantly, we'll bust some myths around the "who" and "why" of this phenomenon, hitting on the facts that imposter feelings are universal and not solely linked to self-esteem or specific demographics. The takeaway is this: if we want to address our imposter feelings, we need to look at them more holistically and consider evidence-based strategies to reduce them. Those practical steps will be explored in part 2 of this series.  Joy Lab and Natural Mental Health are community-supported. When you buy through the links below, we may earn a commission. Does your mind feel like a constant sea of judgment? Do thoughts popcorn day and night about how you're flawed or how someone else has it all wrong? You're not alone. Those kind of thoughts are common, but they can also be pretty destructive. There's clear evidence that the more we sit in judgment, the higher our risk for depression and anxiety. We'll dig into all this, including some exploration of the concept of aversion in relation to judgment and how it manifests inside our body and out. Most important, we'll dig into self-compassion as a powerful antidote to judgment and provide practices to shift towards acceptance and less judgment.
