Donald Macleod surveys the life of Girolamo Frescobaldi and the musical spectacle of Rome Girolamo Frescobaldi established the keyboard style that would dominate Europe in the Baroque era. His life throws a light on the nepotism and patronage at the heart of Italy in the 17th century, and how it created extraordinary music and spectacle.... breaking the bank in the process. Donald Macleod and his guest Robert Quinney, Director of the Choir of New College, Oxford, explore Frescobaldi's story alongside some of the other great musicians of his time, who fell into his orbit. 'Parthenia or the Maydenhead of the first musicke that ever was printed for the Virginalls (in England at least), composed by three famous masters: William Byrd, Dr. John Bull and Orlando Gibbons' was probably printed in 1613. MIO's Artistic Director John Edwards talks to harpsichordist Louise Hung about the terminology of plucked string keyboard instruments in the Elizabethan and Jacobean period, how they make their sound, the association of the virginals with young women in our period and the techniques and fingering which they used and which Louise deploys to get the characteristic sprightly articulation in Mary Brownlow's Galliard and the spectacular passage work in the prelude by Byrd, both of which you'll hear at the end of our chat.

Praca wymagała wielkiej siły, a wybieranie cumy kotwicznej mogło trwać nawet kilka godzin. Ciężka robota trud i znój. I właśnie szanty pomagały synchronizować ruchy, regulowała rytm pracy i dostarczała rozrywki podczas harówki. Nazywają to progresją anatomiczną. Sail-Ho    Audycja zawiera utwory: “The Maid of Amsterdam” (w tle), wyk.  the Bobby Spellman Quartet muzyka: trad. „A Amsterdam” , wyk. Well, Megan and Sam are already devastated at the start of Season 4 Part 2. It is presumed that Levi is dead and Hange, thankfully, escapes the Yeagerists with Levi downstream. The Yeagerists, though, were distracted by the appearance of Zeke, who'd healed completely despite blowing himself up with a thunder spear. The group makes their way to Shiganshina, where Eren is fighting Reiner, Galliard and Pieck in an epic battle. The Yeagerists and Marleyan military are also fighting. Things do not look good and Onyankopon rushes to Eren's friends to help save their last hope. Interestingly enough, the Marleyans also believe they are the last hope for the world. They cannot let Zeke and Eren meet under any circumstances.

Reiner recalls his childhood where we discover his desire to become Marleyean. He is despised as the weakest warrior recruit by Galliard and openly rejected by his father. He learns during the mission to invade paradise he was never meant to wield the Armored Titan and declares himself the de facto leader when Marcel is eaten. Reiner pulls back from a suicide attempt placing hope in the new warrior recruits. After watching Attack On Titan Season 4 Episode 1 I did some thinking on the whereabouts of Ymir due to seeing a resemblance and hearing of the Jaw Titan being alive with a different name and different features after coming to the conclusion of what may have happened after season 3 and Ymir leaving Historia for the last time it came to me that Attack On Titan Season 4 is Possibly based in the Future and not in the Past as the quality of the animation and setting of it could be to throw us off!. still not certain about anything so lets wait for the series to explain it in more detail I just like theorising stuff and getting my brain active in possible discussions. Donald Macleod introduces six composers who flourished under the rule of Elizabeth I. The composers of 16th century England flourished under the rule of Elizabeth I, rapidly developing a diverse musical culture unparalleled anywhere on the continent, a truly Golden Age for English music. In this week of programmes Donald Macleod explores six composers who were key to this ascent - Thomas Morley, John Bull, Peter Philips, Thomas Weelkes, Orlando Gibbons and Thomas Tomkins. These composers were all active at around the same time as the “Father of British Musick” William Byrd and John Dowland, and all either studied or worked with Byrd, but they don’t often receive the same attention as those more famous names. “The fraud of men was ever so / Since summer first was leafy” — Balthasar’s song, Much Ado About Nothing In episode six, we look at that vexing question of whether or not Will Shakespeare was a complete and utter conman. We’ll follow those who dug up rivers, cracked codes, turned to grave-robbing, or occasionally just wrote really, really long books to find the answer. We’ll hear from Mark Twain, Sigmund Freud, William Wordsworth, and learn some surprising theories as to why Queen Elizabeth I was the Virgin Queen (or was she…?). It’s a journey from the 1560s to our era and back again, and somehow I manage to bring up Golden Girls, England’s greatest treasure hunt, George W. Bush and Dame Agatha Christie! Confused? David Galman is the sales and marketing director of Galliard Homes. David has dedicated his entire career to the property industry joining Galliard Homes since its inception in the early 90’s with Stephen Conway who is also someone he aspires to as well as his father. He believes in knowing his product, knowing his market and knowing his customers and has built up an impressive portfolio of repeat buyers over the years. Meticulous planning and an eye for detail are among his many strengths - this is certainly a man who knows his property stuff but who is also modest with it. Incredibly passionate about sport and devoted to his family…his favourite word is Meshugana – which for those of you who don’t know is Yiddish for a lunatic or crazy person! A desire to succeed and provide, David’s golden rule in business is absolute honesty. Living by life’s mantra, the customer is always right, even if they are wrong.
