Over the past few months, I've been having a lot of deep conversations about creativity, authenticity, and the role of AI in amplifying one's voice into the world. Yesterday, I sent an email announcement sharing the backstory of my Soul Songs music project. Afterward, I received the following message from a long-time member of my community. Someone I deeply respect and appreciate for the care and honesty with which they shared: Hi, Cliff! Congratulations on your explorations. I wonder, though, how much of this is creation from you? Was this made by AI? There were aspects of its resonance that did not feel like it was coming from a human. I find your writing sometimes is too familiar of a ChatGPT voice and I miss YOUR voice. I dip in sometimes to see what Chat has to say about things I'm working on. And I am occasionally inclined to lean in and use some of its phrasing. But I also do my darndest to keep my own authentic voice inside of anything I put out. And I'm hoping you are pausing to do the same. I hope this isn't an overreach. You are someone I trust and admire for your journey and the way you show up in the world. I speak only to truly call you to your highest self, if it is needed. And apologies if I'm making perceptual leaps that are not connected to reality. Your friend and fan, [name removed] The truth is, this question reflects something I've been processing quite a bit lately. What is my authentic voice? Where does AI fit into my creative process? What should I disclose? What's actually happening beneath the surface when we collaborate with these emerging tools? I responded to this email with great care. And after I sent my reply, I felt an immediate pull to go even deeper. I set down in front of the microphone to record this fully unscripted, unfiltered, stream-of-consciousness episode of The Cliff Ravenscraft Show where I explore this entire conversation much more deeply. This is my last solo cast in my LA home studio. I'm sitting here surrounded by boxes, bags, and so many memories—taking time to reflect on my inner world. Because in this season of my life, I'm not running from anything. I'm simply listening to Spirit whisper: there's more, it's time. I've lived in LA on and off for the past seven years. My friends are here. My life is here. But now, it's time to enter a new chapter—a chapter of expansion, love, sacred sites, and mysteries.   Before I had this platform, this podcast, and all of you, I wasn't on a spiritual path. I didn't grow up thinking about spirituality or even seeking it. My only desire at the time was to bring my period back, heal my body, and stop being in pain. I had gone through perimenopause at 21. I couldn't digest food. My body was shutting down. That desire to heal became the gateway. And that path took me into the mind-body connection, and eventually into the spiritual journey.   And every one of those hardships became the exact fire I needed to walk through to become who I am today.   So we ask ourselves—can we spiritually grow without going through such hard lessons and heartbreak?
