But it is every day bringing me closer to fulfill my true purpse, and this podcast is a part of it all! In today´s episode I will talk about the Lion´s Gate and end with a Look At Your Life Exercise! Runt it several times and write down your answers! Enjoy! Our next episode will be on the  2023-09-09. Be the Light. Share the Light. Spread the Light. Shine!LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place. If you like what I do, then you can find me here:https://linktr.ee/ldsandmediumIf you have words of support or stories that you anonymously want me to share please write me at ldsandmedium@gmail.com. S5E47 Unpacking Life, Exercise, and Gun Debates: A Sunday Podcast from the Streets of Arlington; Chris Abraham Reflects on Personal Milestones and the Controversial Gun Ownership Discussion

In this deeply contemplative episode of the Chris Abraham Show, season five, episode 47, Chris gives us a vivid, unfiltered look at his Sunday routine, bike rides, volunteering experiences, personal revelations, and more, all while navigating the streets of Arlington. Recorded live from Penrose Square Park, the episode also sheds light on the issues of gun ownership and juvenile crimes, which Chris discusses at length. Chris starts the podcast describing his feeling of liberation from leaving his weighted £30 Go Lock bag at home. His journey today is an effortless one, filled with reminiscences of the previous day's adventures which included making breakfast, riding his bike to Roosevelt Island, and acting as a tail runner at a 5k trail event. As he recounts his encounters with fellow park run volunteers and runners, Chris does not shy away from acknowledging the occasional wind disruptions that his audio might be facing, confidently asserting that Adobe will come to the rescue in minimizing the noise. As the park trail unfolds, Chris notices a familiar character from his neighborhood, a man with an I8 BMW, and muses about his habit of driving around the neighborhood, not unlike the host's penchant for walking. This anecdote serves as a segue into Chris' decision to order a pair of last model Nike Pegasus Trail fours for his volunteer role as a tail walker, an activity he plans on doing for the coming months. The goal isn't to become a competitive runner but to gain a better understanding of the trail terrain. Further down his memory lane, Chris recalls a pleasant meeting with a fellow Hawaiian, Kim, who happened to have attended the same elementary school as him. He expresses the joy and comfort he finds in encountering people from his homeland. But as the nostalgia fades, Chris shifts to his immediate focus—his work. With time ticking away, he shares his strategy to get his hours done, which includes hydrating at the library, working there till five, and then transitioning to Starbucks. He shares his intention to fast for the rest of the day, save for a morning meal of bacon and eggs, as he feels his body needs it. As the day's events unfold, Chris admits feeling a little off-balance, which he attributes to inadequate hydration and perhaps an existential crisis. Despite building a community and maintaining good relationships with his clients, he grapples with a lack of direction in his life, a feeling that many can relate to. With a heart full of hope and a mind filled with questions, Chris debates whether to incorporate more bike rides into his routine to make it more fun and heart-racing. The episode then transitions into a rather controversial topic—gun ownership. Chris questions the age restrictions on gun ownership and relates it to the prime age range for gang activity and crimes, which is 12 to 24. He questions the system that categorizes individuals under 26 as children, thus making them less accountable for their actions. This observation leads him into a deeper debate about responsibility, maturity, and the right to own firearms. Chris also shares his views on adolescent deaths and how the categorization can lead to an inflation of gun death statistics. He ponders over the role of suicides in gun-related deaths and whether considering suicide as a form of gun violence might skew the perception of gun-related deaths in society. To him, it seems as if the debate around gun deaths wants to inflate the figures to make them look more alarming than other causes of death like car accidents or drownings. The episode concludes with a promise to return soon for another insightful conversation, demonstrating once again the host's ability to balance personal anecdotes with societal commentary. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/chrisabraham/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/chrisabraham/support

This week we continue our conversation centered on IIN's Circle of Life Exercise and focus on the topic of Education. When I sat down to brainstorm who would be the perfect guest to welcome onto the show for this chat, it dawned on me that my alma mater, Gettysburg College, has a president who - funnily enough - is also a podcast host!Flash to be taking a deep breath, giving myself a little pep talk, and writing a long-winded email to President Iuliano about who I am, what my podcast is all about, and a request for an hour of his time to record a podcast episode together. And he said yes!So let this conversation be a reminder to you, dear friend, that you never know what you can create or bring into being by simply asking and putting yourself "out there." Because if you never put it out there, it's not going to happen. But if you gather your gumption and just try - what might you bring to fruition? And what DID happen was an insightful conversation with Gettysburg College's 15th President, Robert Iuliano, where he shares his four-step approach to living a life of meaning which includes: being open to moments of serendipity, embracing a degree of humility, a willingness to take risks, and finally appreciation for the good in life.So pour yourself a fresh cup of coffee, press play, and let Bob inspire you to live a life that's authentic to you and the unique ways you personally find joy and purpose.Resourcesshow notes | join the newsletter | live by design goal setting masterclass |  @livebydesignpodcast | health coaching with kate | schedule your discovery call | free meditation library Health Coaching with Kate: And if you're feeling like health coaching might be the right fit for you, I'd love to schedule a free Discovery Call with you to see if we'd work well in a coaching relationship! Karla Leong (@karlameagan) is an athletic therapist treating out of Eikonic Health (@eikonichealth) (https://www.eikonichealth.ca/) in Woodbridge, Ontario. Karla treated me during my knee surgeries and is the best manual therapist I've ever met. She changed and shaped the way I think about health, fitness, and as an extension, life overall. Karla takes a very holistic approach to fitness and injury rehabilitation. It's not just about putting band-aids on injuries, but moreso about how to return to play, or life, BETTER than before. In the episode we spoke about Karla's general approach to treating injuries and how the overall approach is the same for athletes as well as the general population. We spoke about some strategies we might use in returning to the gym or to the playing field once the pandemic is over. We explored the concept of exercise as a great way to have "me" time and how it helps you be the best version of yourself, so that you can give the most of yourself to everyone around you. We even touched on the subject of body image and what are true motivators for improving your fitness and health. I hope you enjoy this conversation as there is so much to take from it. If you live in Woodbridge or the GTA, you can find Karla at Eikonic Health. You can email the clinic at info@eikonichealth.ca or call at 416-294-2073. Last week's episode When Enough Was Enough Featuring Jamie Hill was chock full of inspirational goodness, so much so that I didn't want Jamie's advice to her ten-years-ago-self to get lost in a longer episode, so we're breaking it into a separate mini episode! Give a listen if listening to someone dream big will encourage and inspire you to do the same. Because we get just this one life, and the only person who can truly give you permission to call you shot is yourself.I hope Jamie's dream gets you excited to embrace 2021 and all the power you have to manifest dreams for yourself too. It's also a great precursor to my upcoming Special Podcast Series based on The Institute for Integrative Nutrition's Circle of Life Exercise. After having her “something's gotta change” moment, Jamie Hill decided to take control of her life. Now almost two years later, she and her family are approaching financial freedom, they've purchased their forever home, and she's transitioned from a traditional 9-5 to working her own business which she's grown as a side hustle into a full-time career. Most of all, her hard work in every area of life has given her back the gift of time. Which, in my humble opinion, is the greatest currency we have.I hope this episode gets you excited to embrace 2021! Robert Leung is a Certified Life Coach, with 20 years experience successfully coaching men through life's challenges and transitions. He is the creator of Heart of Man Coaching. Robert's work with over a thousand men, from all walks of life, has centered around helping men access, understand and master the power of their emotions, without compromising their masculinity. He believes this is the key to our evolutionary success as men. Robert has researched and created a number of seminars and exercises to help men discover the tremendous opportunities that access to their emotions can provide. Opportunities for better health, peace of mind, self-worth, healing, confidence, success and of course, love. Recently, I hosted a conversation with Robert in which Lee Rosen, Program Lead – Men And Masculinity, gave a living eulogy to Robert. Here is Robert's background on The Eulogy for Life Exercise The word eulogy means “praise”. It comes from the Greek eu meaning “good” and logos meaning “speech”. What makes this exercise unique is that it's a eulogy for the living designed to improve the depth and understanding of our relationships with the people in our lives that matter to us.. The idea is simple. Don't wait till someone's dead to tell them how you really feel. Wouldn't you like to hear what people will say about you when you're gone? When you put yourself in the mindset that the person you are writing about is no longer alive it makes us extremely present, aware and vulnerable. Most of us are rarely in that state of mind even with the people closest to us. The thought of them being gone makes us conscious of all that they mean to us. That can be uncomfortable because we don't want to think about them being gone. But what a gift to be able to hear how much you are loved and appreciated while you're still here to enjoy it! Hearing your eulogy is perhaps the most intimate affirmation one can experience. It deeply enriches both the giver and the receiver in ways nothing else can and thereby enriches their relationship. What could be more rewarding? Why should we wait for illness or death to tell the people we love how we really feel? We all think we have time but all to often that is not up to us. Having delivered eulogies for some very close friends and heard them read mine I can tell you there is nothing like it! I felt loved, respected, honored and validated in a way I have never felt before. It helped me understand the impact I had on people and their lives. It gave me a sense of my legacy and some ideas about things I could still change or improve. It made me realize the depth of my caring for these people and their importance in my life on a whole other level. Something I sometimes take for granted. It was very powerful. Tears were shed, but they were tears of joy. There was also great humor and laughter. It was a little uncomfortable but the shared love and intimacy was unforgettable and well worth it. This was done with a team of men I have known for over 20 years. I didn't think we could get any closer. But boy was I wrong. Imagine what this could do for friends and families willing to up their intimacy. I think we should write eulogies for everyone in our lives that we love just to really know how much they mean to us. And then I think we should read them to those people so that they can know how much they mean to us. I am certain The Eulogy for Life Exercise will make everyone feel closer. It will be a profound experience that enhances your relationships with the people who matter to you, and with yourself. During the conversation: – Robert gives some of his background which includes being a creative director in the advertising industry for twenty-five years, doing men's work for over thirty years and being a life coach for over ten years – He shares his passion about where emotions fit in with men and where it might go – His change from the world of advertising to life coaching – Reflections on his early coaching days of men – Some changes in manhood and masculinity over the last ten years including men having to become stronger in being vulnerable – The story behind the living eulogy concept and the reaction of men when he first shared the concept with them – We find out how Robert and Lee met – Lee gives a living eulogy for Robert – When should men do the living eulogy exercise? – “Don't wait to say the things that matter. There are no guarantees.” Robert Leung You can contact Robert via: Email You can find out more information about Men And Masculinity via: Website Facebook YouTube Visit The Dr. Vibe Show™ at https://www.thedrvibeshow.com/ Please feel free to email The Dr. Vibe Show™ at dr.vibe@thedrvibeshow.com Please feel free to “Like” the “The Dr. Vibe Show” Facebook fan page here God bless, peace, be well and keep the faith, Dr. Vibe

[18:25] "If we can consistently focus on what we desire, our brain will help us find the resources to bridge that gap from where we are to where that goal is. So if I can offer one tool that will enhance your goal achievement, a potential at least tenfold is just get clear on your goals and write them down once a day." [26:37] It's just simply about recognizing like step one, recognizing, okay, that's my brain, just trying to keep safe, and then taking a couple of deep breaths in because when you're in a stress response, like your creativity, your genius is all shut off. Are you playing all out? Alex recently went through an important exercise that made him realize he wasn't. He encourages everyone to check out the Wheel of Life self-assessment tool and to rate themselves, honestly, from a scale of 0-10 on where they stand in certain key areas of their life. Alex believes if you're hitting a 7 or less, you need to reevaluate your life's priorities and get yourself running on all cylinders again!   Key Takeaways: Alex is really reflecting on how this year turned out as things begin to slow down. Alex recently went through an exercise called ‘The Wheel of Life'. When you're doing the exercise, you have to be incredibly honest with yourself on where you are right now in some of the key areas of your life. Alex has always been his harshest critic. He's guilty of comparing himself to where he should be in life. Alex had to do the wheel of life exercise twice because he wanted to make sure he was truly, truly, being honest with himself. On a scale of 0-10, if you're putting down a 7 or less, then you really need to re-evaluate where you want to be and strive to get there. For example, Alex is not running on a 10 with his health. He's slightly overweight and he's uncomfortable with this. If you're not playing all out, you're doing yourself and your family a disservice! Sometimes we know what we gotta do, but we just don't do it! Man up! You don't need more courses, tools, and resources. You need to push yourself and work for what you want.   The Flip Empire Inner Circle Want to close more deals and generate more revenue? Have questions you want to ask me?
