Arthur Hudson finally has his smoking guy and taskforce 836 is about to be put to, well, task. Hudson and team call a meeting with the Attorney General which leads to a summons for Cooper and Panabaker. What happens next is what is a shock to many especially airplane pilots around the world! Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for Arthur Hudson What does ice cream, a hacked meeting at the capitol, and an exploding plane have in common? If you guessed Raymond Red Reddington you would be correct. And that is just the tip of the iceberg this week as taskforce 836 is now under the purview of the AG and is being broken down piece by piece, agent by agent, file by file, screen by screen. It is finally time to say goodbye to the post office once and for all. Granted Red doesn't help matters when we goes off on the AG, and at the same time Cooper basically tells the AG flat out I did good work, I stand by it and I quit. But it comes I am sure as no surprise to long time fans and watchers of this show that the AG doesn't give a crap about all this. He only cares that his noes is clean. So he gives Cooper the ultimatum that we all feared. Catch Raymond Reddington once and for all, or the whole team gets the book thrown at them. Catching Red however will be harder than it looks as he fakes his own death in an airplane explosion, (did you really think he died?), only to be saved by Weecha and his pilot EDWARD? Yes Andrew McCarthy gets a cameo this week on the show. Red pays one last visit to Cooper and leaves him with the parting words catch me... if you can. Music For Arthur Hudson Two songs this week on the show. One a classic Hewy Lewis song as Edward stands waiting for Red to pick him up. The other at the end of the episode as Ressler leans over Jonathan's overdosed body. A no numbered episode typically means some kind of big mythology reveal or information as the identity of one Raymond Red Reddington, especially one with a title like "The Man in the Hat". This week however it is a case of was he or wasn't he as Red stops at a convience store for some Peanut Chews. Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for The Man in the Hat As Red's question to live free as a bird continues this season we find our Fedora wearing friend caught in a pickle as he makes a stop at a convienience store for some Goldenbergs Peanut Chews. He was coming back from Phildelphia to New York after picking up a present for Agnes. Turns out this is one conveinence that became an inconvienience as a armed robber locked down the store and took hostages. Dembe and Ressler arrive on the scene as they beleive Red was in the store at the time and wanted to get him to safety freely before the local law enforcement caught up to him. In the end Red found a clever way to escape as always, and sent Agnes her gift as well as a bar of those delightful Peanut Chews. Elsewhere Panabaker is hot and wants Reddington by the end of the day. Cooper tasks Siya to make sure all their fiels and ducks are in a row pending an investgation from up the chain of command. In doing so Siya is granted full acccess to the post office history including details of her mother. Siya opens up the information and finds out more than she bargained for... she's adopted. Red does eventually confront Panabaker but in a strange move hands her the leverage Red had over her in the hopes that Panabaker would allow the task force to live to fight another day. Sheri Panabaker is an accomplished UX Leader with an impressive 23-year tenure at Microsoft, where she served as the Senior Director of UX Research. While at the tech giant, Sheri played an instrumental role in shaping product and marketing strategies for a diverse range of consumer, enterprise, and employee experiences. Her extensive expertise in UX research and data analytics enabled her to drive a user-centred culture within Microsoft, significantly influencing the development of innovative experiences across Windows, Surface, and Microsoft Digital (internal) programs. Sheri firmly believes that you are a product maker no matter which disciplines you to represent, and adopting that mindset enhances your strategic influence. In her post-Microsoft career, Sheri is committed to mentoring and developing diverse talent while continuing to share her insights at speaking events. Additionally, with a focus on applying UX and design thinking to reimagine fan experiences in sports, particularly Formula 1, Sheri is driven to make a lasting impact on that notoriously male-dominated industry. Outside of her professional life, Sheri enjoys Pilates, interior design, and exploring the Pacific Northwest in search of the perfect bubble tea. In this episode, Sheri Panabaker shared great insights on Product Maker Mindset; we started by defining the word product maker and what it means to have a product maker mindset. We then discussed what strategies to use to collaborate effectively with other team members, such as engineers, marketers, and designers, and how to ensure everyone is aligned around the same goals and priorities. We then discussed the translation of insights to design considerations and working with Design and PM to clarify how to measure product success and what metrics to use to evaluate. Cynthia Panabaker is on the campaign trail for re-election for her Virginia Senate seat, however some others have plans to take her down for her comments about her opponent. Patriotism is in the line of fire once more on this week as an ex-secret service agent looks to get revenge and save the sanctity of the nation. Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for The Four Guns Apex predator pick pockets are on the loose and Cynthia Panabaker is a target as an Assassin takes a shot at her while cooper visits her on the campaign Trail. Turns out the Secret Service found out a secret of their own, their guns and radios had been swiped right off their persons by the group known as The Four Guns led by Quinten Dodd. The Four Guns were hired by the real focus of the episode one Lucas roth a former Secret Service agent that was ousted one year before official retirement because of the corruption in the organization he wanted to stop. As like many blacklisters before him, Roth took things into his own hands to take down agent Strickland, a man that put politics before duty. In the end Panabaker is the one that got the upper hand taking down both Roth and Strickland with the fastest gun in room earning her the title of Cynthia six shooter Panabaker. Elsewhere, Red really had no focus on the case this week as he had other plans to buy an old book covered in arsenic to ship to his old pall Robert Vesco in prison. The book causes Vesco to have a breathing episode and transferred to a nearby hospital where Red hires The Four Guns to break Vesco out. Happy belated Valentine's Day! This episode is a little late due to Kyra not wanting to edit ON Valentimes and no ragerts. This week we're spending time with the Panabaker sisters in 2006's "Read It and Weep." Kyra had seen this one before - but was it a false memory? Also - if you've read any good reads lately, let us know! This may be a movie podcasts but we do love boooooks. Keep up with the rankings at bit.ly/2U55zQy and follow our socials @DCOM_Mission!
Read It and Weep (2006) walked so Anna Todd's magnum opus After could run. This week we were joined by an extra special guest and our friend from college, Hannah Labovitz! We talked all things Read It and Weep, including the Panabaker sisters and some of our favorite Virgo actresses (happy Libra season, btw). Digressions include zoology, the origins of New Hampshire, and fanfiction-related conspiracy theories. Also, the three of us miss and love each other and haven't all been together in WAY more than a year, so we just had fun catching up. Danielle Panabaker began playing Caitlin Frost in 2014 when she guest-starred on Arrow. Since then, she is one of the original cast members of the hit CW TV show, The Flash. The Flash stands out for remaining one of The CW's most-watched series. Caitlin works at STAR Labs and then became part of Team Flash. Panabaker has been acting for nearly 20 years. In this episode, she talked about the complicated shoots playing two characters in the same scene while disguising her second pregnancy. She also discussed recent events in the series (WARNING: SPOILERS). She also previewed what to expect for the rest of Season 8 and gave insight on the upcoming Season 9. WARNING: This The Flash interview with Danielle Panabaker is a full-on MAJOR SPOILER article as it breaks down tonight's episode of The Flash Season 8, Episode 13, "Death Falls." Read at your own risk! The Flash season 8 has been going through one of its darkest storylines this year as the show re-imagined the DC baddie Deathstorm while also jumping into the world of horror and supernatural. As the latest graphic novel got more intense over the last few weeks, it became evident that a tragic death was on its way and this week's episode came as a game-changer for Team Flash as they lost one of their allies. While it stopped Deathstorm once and for all, Killer Frost made the ultimate sacrifice in order to defeat the big bad. Even though this is in a comic book and superhero universe, The Flash's massive death is sticking as "Death Falls" was not a fakeout nor will they retcon the heartbreaking ending. The Flash Podcast's Andy Behbakht recently sat down with Danielle Panabaker, who has portrayed Caitlin Snow and Frost for over eight years, to breakdown "Death Falls." Throughout the interview, Panabaker discusses how this story came about, the experience of playing two characters at the same time, a reflection on Frost's legacy, as well as tease how this affect's Caitlin's arc going forward in Season 8. This interview is available in text and audio version, both on podcast platforms and on DC TV Podcasts' YouTube channel. The Skinner is close to achieving his plan but one pesky Senator and two former Skinners stand in his way! Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for The Skinner It's a race against time as The Skinner is close to accessing the software that will give him full control of the most elaborate microchips in the industry. All that is standing between him and his glory is Senator Panabaker. Yes it turns out that good old Cynthia rose up the ranks and is now a US Senator and still loathes Harold and the team just as much as before. That is unless they are looking to do good. She agrees to let Cooper, Aram, and Ressler back in to the FBI as well as open up the old Post Office black site. Also new team member Dembe joins the team to take Liz's old spot. The team with Red's help does eventually save the day but in true Blacklist fashion a win for the task force also is a win for Red. An old procedure in the line of The Skinner is to allow two former Skinners the ability to revoke the power of the current Skinner and select a different successor. Well it just so happens that the new Skinner is none other than Raymond Reddington. Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: Will the Task Force return to the Post Office? *Archive* Autograph Weekly Podcast - Episode 35 - Take Another Shot You Legend - Interview with Actress Kay Panabaker
Paul Panabaker didn’t start travelling until after he graduated and had some work in Australia. Now, he travels all the time, especially for DFK International conference and also to visit friends in Thailand, where he’s been able to catch some monster fish. He’s also a pretty huge Toronto Raptors fan and has collected a lot of memorabilia over the years. In this episode, Paul and I talk about how his travels have allowed him the ability to be engaged in other parts of the world and how business might be done there. The conference trips allow him to have in-person meetings with people that he does business with, making it a true connection that lasts. He feels that having a personality means having the ability to communicate with clients and coworkers, saying, “If you can have a relationship that’s a little bit more, then having a personality at work certainly doesn’t hurt.”
The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker joins me this week on the podcast. Danielle’s a super versitle actress - from starring in kids movies like Sky High, Read It And Weep, Stuck in the Suburbs to some of the best horror films; Friday the 13th, The Crazies, and The Ward. Danielle tells me her amazing story...growing up without a lot of friends because she’d move every year, how she and her younger sister had to become best friends because of it, and how important schooling was to her even when her acting career was taking off. Then we get into her career - auditioning for Lindsay Lohan’s role in Mean Girls and being crushed when she didn’t get it, working with the legendary Kevin Costner in Mr. Brooks (spoiler: she gets to stab him in the neck at the end of the movie and it’s AMAZING), and how much fun she has working with everyone on The Flash. Listen as I get inside the very charming and very sweet Danielle Panabaker.
This 2007 thriller divides a lot of people over whether it's good or bad. We try to take a high road and instead explore what the film says about us. Is it about ordinary monsters? Addiction? Or America's guilt about its own dark side? Interested in the media we discussed this episode? A plane crashes into a small town's reservoir, accidentally spreading a biological weapon called TRIXIE among the town's population. If the virus doesn't kill you, it makes you insane. The uninfected must not only survive The Crazies, but also dodge military forces who want to contain the outbreak by any means necessary. But no virus can stand up to Invasion of the Remake scrutiny. This week we discuss George A. Romero's original film The Crazies (1973) starring Lane Caroll, Will MacMillan, Harold Wayne Jones, Lloyd Hollar and Lynn Lowery and see how the remake (2010) by director Breck Eisner holds up. With an all star cast of Radha Mitchell, Timothy Olyphant, Joe Anderson, and Danielle Panabaker it certainly is off to a good start. Can we sort this out, or are we crazy for even trying? Amell talked about how Prometheus has been a great villain for Green Arrow and his allies, calling Segarra “almost scary good.” When Leslie noted just how savage Chase has been revealed to be, Amell only offered this tease for the remaining episodes:“Just you wait.” Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/04/30/arrow-stephen-amell-says-prometheus-josh-segarra-scary-good-vill/ Stephen: Spoiler Room: Scoop on Supernatural, Handmaid's Tale, OUAT, and more (Date: 28 April 2017) Anything on the Arrow finale? — We know Oliver's going to be heading back to the island — after all, that's where Slade has been imprisoned, but he definitely won't be alone. “One of the things that will surprise us is why he goes and the amount of people who will be there,” Stephen Amell says. “This whole year has been built around Oliver returning on a team, but what happens when Oliver's team isn't there for him and he still needs a team?” Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/04/28/spoiler-room-supernatural-handmaids-tale-once-upon-time/ Dark Phoenix Could Be Searching for a Younger Version of an X-Men Mainstay (Morning Spoilers) (Date: 01 May 2017) Arrow - John Barrowman has revealed he will not be a part of the Arrowverse next season. Told to audience at Planet Comic Con. We are bringing back people we've had all season. We have Calista Flockhart coming back. In the last two episodes, we have Lynda Carter returning as the President, Sharon Leal is coming back as M'gann. Obviously, there's Tyler as Superman. These are some of the biggest episodes we've ever done. We're so proud of Teri Hatcher, and so amazed she's on our show and killing it as Rhea. There is a feature film quality finale, with huge guest stars, stunts and visual effects. We will get a glimpse of the Season 3 villain in the finale, which we're also excited about.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/interview-supergirl-andrew-kreisberg-superman-general-zod/ The Flash: Savitar's identity revealed! (Date: 02 May 2017) Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells EW, “What's really cool for anyone who thought that there wasn't a plan, or we didn't know, or we were making this up as we go, this was always where we were heading,” Kreisberg says. “The idea that the darkest villain we could come up with was actually a very damaged version of our hero was interesting and fresh to us. We're not only competing with all the stuff that we've done on Flash, but we're always competing with everything we've done on all the other shows. So to have our lead actor be both the hero and the villain isn't something we've done before, so that was exciting for us as storytellers.” Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/05/02/flash-savitar-identity-barry-allen/ ARROW CAST & CREW INTERVIEWS Harkavy Sings About Her Arrow Future, As Black Canary or Otherwise (Date: 03 May 2017) As “Arrow” returns to The CW for the final six episodes of its fifth season, the actress joined CBR for a look inside her tour of duty on Team Arrow. We discusses her dedication to learning everything she can about one of comics' original superheroines, and her budding interest in graphic storytelling – not to mention her experiences on a pair of other comic book-based TV series Link:http://www.cbr.com/interview-juliana-harkavy-arrow-black-canary/ Echo Kellum Previews Team Arrow's Last Stand Against Prometheus (Date: 03 May 2017) Echo Kellum, who brings Curtis to life every week on “Arrow,” recently spoke with CBR about his character's evolution into Mr. Terrific, wielding the hero's iconic T-Spheres, Evelyn's betrayal and shaking up the team's status quo. In that tale, the town wasn't run by criminals, but by a particularly controlling sect of nuns. Kuberts Barbershop sign: One of the storefronts in Salvation features a pretty familiar name to DC Comics fans: Kubert. In this instance, it's likely a nod to Joe Kubert, whose work on Jonah Hex comics helped to craft the look of the character's early years. Kubert, of course, also worked on a lot of classic Hawkman stories, meaning that his influence has been felt quite a bit on Legends. Jonah Hex: While Hex's origin is that of a post-Civil War bounty hunter, he's had some time-travel adventures himself. In the DC Comics Universe, when he found himself flung to the far future after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. G. Wells: The child Stein saves in the episode is actually a young H.G. Wells, whose The Time Machine is widely regarded as one of the earliest and best novels on the topic of time-travel. ---- But we all know Warehouse 13 told the TRUE story of H.G. Well. (Shannon, that's for you!) John Wayne reference: Ray comes up with another great alias... Turnbull: Turnbull, the man who's responsible for the sacking of Calvert, Oklahoma, is a Jonah Hex villain from the comics. He was also the villain in the Jonah Hex movie played by John Malkovich. Hannibal Hawkes: Hannibal Hawkes isn't just the Old West hero Nighthawk, but in modern stories it was revealed that he was, indeed, one of the many lives of Prince Khufu/Hawkman.
