Christian Coronato is the founder/operator of Coronato's Lean Cuisine and Coronato's Kitchen. A nationally ranked power lifter and bodybuilder, Christian is a Jersey Shore native who, together with his wife and Kristi, has built multiple successful and regionally renown businesses in the fitness and nutrition industries. Christian and I have ran in similar circles for decades and even rubbed elbows at Powerhouse Gym back in the day, but have never sat down to chop it up! I can vividly remember Christian as one of the most freakishly muscular humans at Powerhouse Gym, yet also one of the kindest, as he would routinely take time out of his day to share his knowledge and grow the confidence of newbies looking for their balance in the gym. He bakes that same generous spirit into every dish he creates. This was a super enjoyable conversation with a truly powerful local entrepreneur. Enjoy! Brought to you by Figurado Cigar Co. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education and became a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer. It wasn't until July of 2019 that she decided to go pedal to the medal and open up her own business, Embrace It Fitness. Erin struggled having gone through the physical changes of pregnancy and postpartum, which was really eye opening for her as a trainer. During this time, Erin became her heaviest and was not happy with the way she looked in anything but she didn't let that stop her from sharing her passion. Keith began his career in the HALO sector from the ground up working as a commission-only salesman at a Powerhouse Gym in Augusta, GA. He slowly became interested in the tech side of the business as well--which was "pre-Windows" era when you had to connect computers with coaxial cables! Trawick became an evangelist for technology in the sector as the years went on. He states, "Tech companies now are trying to be too many things to too many people . . . Organizations should be allowed to have their own definitions and enact their own business processs around those definitions." He and Pete discuss the always-controversial topic of who owns what data, marketing trends that have come full circle, why we're still in the "bottom of the first" when it comes to tech compared to other industries, pricing trends (thankfully, it's no longer as much of a "race to zero" as it used to be) and more! How an organization should use tech is also critical, and is often overlooked. "Technology enhances and amplifies the core that's already there . . . and that can work to your advantage or against it, depending on how good your existing business processes are." This is a must for anyone in the sector with an interest in tech. It offers definitive takeaways from a long time, industry veteran who has been there since the beginning. In this episode, Cherelle talks about how she made the decision to “burn her ship”, quit her full time job, and pursue her passion of sharing her Trinidadian roots through her Caribbean focused dance and fitness company SocaFit. She talks about how imposter syndrome crept in and kept her community smaller. However, once the pandemic hit, she was forced to either go online or close, so she got over her fears and is now serving people internationally. Cherelle is a proud Canadian born with deep Trinidadian roots that extend farther than you or I can imagine. Little did she know that important events throughout her upbringing would subconsciously shape her into the professional entertainer and entrepreneur she is today. You could say her journey started at a very young age - playing Mas during Cariwest as a baby and growing up playing the steel drums in her father's band, Trincan Steel Orchestra, for over 10 years. Fast forward to today, now owning her own Caribbean-focused dance and fitness company, SocaFit. Cherelle created SocaFit to allow her to celebrate and share her Trinidadian culture through dance and fitness and to also create programs to enable youth to explore and learn about their own history. What started as her teaching her mother's friends in a small room has grown to an international audience for both adults and children.Find SocaFit classes hereFollow Cherelle on IGFollow Candace on Instagram

In this episode Justin talks about how lonely, bored and alone he felt for years after deciding that he needed to make significant changes in his life. He shares how he had a strict Christian upbringing and had little confidence growing up. When he moved and was looking to meet new people, he would go out to the casino and the bar. Once he started to grow his social circles and get attention, his confidence grew and he says he exploited this. His social circle grew quickly, he knew everyone, felt invincible and unstoppable. He would start to wake up from nights where he would get blackout drunk, as often as 4-5 nights a week. There was an event that took place one of these drunken nights that was the catalyst for a change. Justin needed to change his social circles and his habits so that he was able to reach the potential that deep down he knew that he had and had been wasting. He shares how he has turned his life around and how he is on a never ending journey to keep reaching even further potential.Justin Rille is a personal trainer of over 11 years who works out of his own training studio and has been online coaching nutrition and habit/mindset clients for over 15 years. He has also been spending his last 5 years in the States and Sweden studying neuroscience, in an effort to help people reduce their pain and move better instantly, through brain based training. Having done over 15 bodybuilding shows and 11 surgeries, he has many lessons in discipline, healthy habits, positive mindset and learning how to overcome adversity! He is a brand new Dad and is enjoying spending his days with his 3 month old son, Stone Bodhi Rille!Follow Justin on InstagramFollow Justin on Facebook
The most important thing you can do to improve your brainpower is not enrolling yourself in a graduate program at the university. Instead, head down to your local Gold's Gym or Powerhouse Gym, hang out with some of the bodybuilders and powerlifters, then pump out some intense sets. If the local 'bro' gym isn't your thing any Planet Fitness or Curves will work just as well. We all know the physical benefits of exercise, they are numerous. Yet, now the impact on the mind is becoming more and more compelling. The fact is study after study is pointing to the fact if you want to keep your mind clear, sharp, and focused you must exercise. It isn't an option. It is a requirement for mental health and clarity. Recent studies are now showing that even moderate, consistent exercise will actually grow new brain cells. This is powerful and life-changing. This podcast discussed the research and practical application of implementing a system that could have a life-changing impact on the quality of your life over the long term. #mentalhealth #exercise #mentalclarity #personalgrowth

From entertainer at nine years old, to award winning male exotic dancer, to serialpreneur to RCMP Constable to motivational speaker and author – Marcus Anthony Ray prepares to soulfully bare all on Living Fearlessly with Lisa McDonald! A not-to-be-missed show guest on my C-Suite Radio / C-Suite Network!! At only age 9, Marcus Anthony Ray launched his career as an entertainer singing and playing his guitar, touring Canada with major groups even before his 12th. birthday. Sweet success came at 16 when he accidentally stumbled into the lucrative world of MALE MODELLING which quickly progressed to the wild world of Male Exotic Dancing, including many prestigious awards such as MR NUDE NORTH AMERICA while he danced his way across Canada and the United States. By the age of 28 Marcus realized he was truly an entrepreneur at heart and he left his dancing career to purchase 2 businesses, a Male Stripping Agency and the Katz Klub in 1988 (“Every dog has his day, but the nights belong to Katz.”) Being physically savvy, Marcus sold his businesses and opened his first Powerhouse Gym in Canada and soon afterwards was runner-up in the Okanagan Body Building Championship. Always on the lookout for ways to improve himself, Marcus’ fascination with law enforcement prompted him to join the Special Constables Force of the RCMP in 1992, but when he broke his back when hit by a car during a chase on his mountain bike, the lure of entrepreneurial flair found him creating a new line of rustic home furnishings. His 1998 “Pebblecreek” manufacturing company housed under 20,000 sq. ft. of factory saw spectacular growth to 10 retail stores by 2006, and one of British Columbia’s most successful companies, well-known all the way across Canada. “In 2008 I was hit by the humbling hammer,” says Ray, “It was a year of re-evaluation for me when my entire business empire was about to be crushed!” Keeping up his stage appearances became too costly and his vision of success began to fade. House flipping was the natural progression since he still owned a factory suitable to allow the customizing of homes for his customers for some time before years of struggling took its toll and he bravely decided to embrace the situation and let the curtain close on part of his life. That, for Marcus heralded a new beginning, not an end! After being asked to give a small presentation about his history as an entrepreneur at a university in Vancouver, BC, he was invited to speak at the City Hall of Surrey to a group of public speakers. A new avenue of entrepreneurial spirit opened up to him in 2016 when he was approached afterwards by a world-renowned stage speaker who encouraged him to pursue a new career as a motivational speaker. The results came quickly – Marcus was awarded with the British Columbia’s 2017 Toastmasters District Rookie of the Year and in April 2018 the champion of British Columbia District and went on to become an International Award Winner. Concurrently, he has published his first book; “Seven Years of Skin”, encompassing his personal story about his 7 years as Mr. Nude North America. Armed with a series of motivational and inspirational presentations and humourous keynotes on How To be Yourself and Get Away with it, The Life Equation, The Art of Being You and his most popular, The Naked Truth. Marcus’ messages, unique delivery, as well as his humour have taken the Speaker World by Storm and stem from his core belief – “You Only Fail When You Lose the Will to Succeed.” Uplifting you to fear less and to live more! #Grateful #Radio #Podcasts #CSuiteRadio #CSuiteNetwork #CTRN #HaltonHonda #Forever #AHAthat #VRRMediaProductions #CrackingTheRichCode #BrittVentures #JimBritt #KevinHarrington #GoldsmithStakeholderCenteredCoaching #Entrepreneurs #LivingFearlessly https://livingfearlesslywithlisa.com/event/the-naked-truth-with-marcus-anthony-ray/ Learn more about your ad choices. How To Become A Bodybuilder? 1. Find a good gym. You can begin getting into shape and building muscle at home, with a basic home gym set up. But it is more better to work-out at professional gym facilities. This will make things very much more possible. If you desire to be a competitive bodybuilder it is very important that you find a good gym in your local area. Where you can get trained. You can not be a bodybuilder without training. Some gyms are: Gold's Gym in Venice, Ca., Original Temple Gym in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Bev Francis's Powerhouse Gym in Syosset, NY, Metroflex in Arlington, Tx., Oxygen Gym in Kuwait. I heard of many Planet Fitness Gyms and LA Fitness Gyms throughout the Metro Atlanta area.- 2. Familiarize yourself with the important muscle groups and basic anatomy of the Human Body. Bodybuilders are part athletes and part artists. Think of your training just as if it is a work of art. Treat your training like you are a sculptor who uses clay or marble. A bodybuilder uses sweat and determination to train the muscles and sculpt the body into a particular physique(shape). Plan what you desire to achieve in bodybuilding. How you want to shape your body is a huge part of the process. Try reading these following textbooks on your research of the body. Which are Grey's Anatomy, Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bodybuilding: A Scientific Approach.- 3. Prioritize your goals. It is going to take some planning. It depends on where you are with your body. Planning and sculpting will be an ongoing process, so it is great to sit down and meet with other bodybuilders and trainers to discuss which parts of your physique that you would like to work on. Here are some muscle groups that you can work out together. The list is also as compound movements: 1. Arms, legs, and glutes. 2. Biceps, thighs and back. 3. Chest and triceps. Or 4. Chest, shoulders and arms. If you are a little overweight. Then you should begin focusing on calorie-burning exercises first to get your fat percentages down. You should do this long before you begin worrying about building your pecs into chiseled works of art. In example. First start doing cardio and circuit-training exercises to lose weight. If you already slim and lean and desire to build muscle, start developing a strength training routine, start a strengthening routine, focus on compound movements first, then work your way up to separate exercises, attacking the specific muscle groups you've identified as needing the work.- 4. Learn the proper form for each exercise. It is very important to learn how to lift properly. Try doing different exercises within your workout with an empty bar, then upgrade this to the weighted barbells to make sure you got the primary movements into your memory. Consider talking to a personal trainer for guidance. Because it is possible that you will train wrong. If you train without any guidance injury can result. And if you train without any guidance it will make your bodybuilding career a huge waste of time and effort. It also is important to go to a gym and learn from other bodybuilders as well.- 5. Consult a nutritionist. Everyone has a different metabolism and will require different supplementary nutrition for building muscle. Talk to a nutritionist or other health counselor to build a diet plan tailored to your body and what you want to do with it.- 6. The finances of bodybuilders. Bodybuilders don't make much money. The profession is much like being a professional poet or professional painter. It will take a lot of your heart and soul, make it your passion. You need to support your bodybuilding career with some other kind of work to pay the bills. Consider becoming a licensed personal trainer. This will give you much free gym time and you will get paid to talk weights and train others.- 7. Prepare for the long haul. It's very important that you know it is going to take some time. You start with deadlifts one day and wake up
More competitive than the restaurant business? It's possible that personal training and fitness is exactly that. I think I first heard it from a Navy SEAL that "Strong People Are Harder To Kill". And you're going to learn all about why that is in today's podcast, with my guest Keith Norris. At 15, Texan Keith was already involved in one of the premier fitness and weight training scenes in the country Powerhouse Gym, a legendary bodybuilding, training, and powerlifting mecca in San Antonio that launched the careers of athletes like Ms. Olympia Rachel McLish, Lori Bowen-Rice, Jeep Swenson and many others. A knee injury derailed Keith’s career as a linebacker at Texas State, but his experience rehabbing and working with some of the best strength coaches in the country continued to increase his interest in intelligent body development. In the mid 90s Keith competed in AAU Bodybuilding and won the title of Mr. Virginia and runner-up to Mr. America. In 2010, after navigating a successful 9 year military and 15 year corporate career, Keith was finally able to follow up on his lifelong dedication to training and come on board as a partner and regional manager.Keith, along with his wife, Michelle are two Their tireless work promoting Paleo principles is what allowed them to reach out to Paleo celebrities like Robb Wolf and Mark Sisson to pull together 2012 & 2013’s super symposiums, Paleo f(x)™.
