Renato Guedes iniciou sua carreira em 1998 como ilustrador, entrou para o mercado americano, trabalhou nas adaptações das séries de TV Smallville, Stargate, CSI Miami e 24 Horas, além da adaptação do filme Jogos Mortais. Em seu trabalho com Superman publicou nas tradicionais revistas Action Comics e Adventures of Superman, e Superman, durante 7 anos. trabalhou nas séries Avengers e “Wolverine” da Marvel Comics. Seus trabalhos para Valiant entertainment ilustrou as revistas Bloodshot, shadowman, X-O manowar, Divinity, Psi-lords entre outros. Como ilustrador, trabalhou em matérias e capas de revistas como Superinteressante, Sexy, Aventuras na História, Mundo Estranho, Religiões, Wizard Brasil, entre outras. Teve sua arte publicada em dezenas de livros de RPG da editora Mongoose Publishing. Em seus primeiros trabalhos para o mercado nacional, Renato Guedes ilustrou dezenas de capas de álbuns da Opera Graphica Editora, e em 2003 ganhou o prêmio HQ Mix e Angelo agostini, na categoria Melhor Ilustrador (para os melhores de 2002). atualmente se dedica as artes plásticas, e em projeto autoral de HQ.
