According to David gold is now in a cup and handle pattern, the most powerful formation we can observe. David thinks we are in a 2-3 year move. We’ll be breaking 2000 gold and once that happens, we’re looking at the final leg of this massive movement.  David talks silver and the picture is very encouraging. Platinum, Palladium getting ready for the next Platinum move. The market is telling us that it could be time to get out of Palladium and into Platinum.  Silver isn’t quite in a cup, but it won’t be long. Keep a close eye on the silver chart. We’ve seen a flat 5 year silver chart. The last year saw a move to $30 and a consolidation. We’re pushing towards the $27 level. Volume is the key. Introducing Nola Crystals Nola Crystals is the main focus for todays Join Up Dots business coaching podcast episode. This is a brand new business recently started by a listener of Join Up Dots, which is going to do very well for itself. The reason as you will hear on the show is mainly it has started, and also it is providing something that people already want and buy in numbers. This is always a great business to get into, where you can already see others having success in your field. So without further ado, lets begin with Nola Crystals and also answering a few other questions too. Question One - Nola Crystals Review Hey David! Let's start with how quickly “Join Up Dots” can work. One very small example in my life: Last Friday I watched a film about Steve Jobs (I love him) Saturday: I simply typed in “Steve jobs” into Apple podcasts. All I wanted to listen to was inspirational information from the genius himself Saturday: I found your podcast Saturday - Monday (today): I'm eight episodes deep into your show and I've learned so much VALUABLE information that I didn't know in relation to tips I could apply to my own business that I've started last month I typed “VALUABLE” in all caps because the common denominator I have heard from you and Steve Jobs (amongst other sources) is that value is key in relation to your customers So, over the course of a few days I've joined up the dots and I'm already richer in knowledge so thank you! It would mean the world to me if you would head over to my website and tell me what you think. I won't tell you anything about the business because I'd like to see from an average consumers point of view what their first impression is and if they can navigate the website with ease and get to a “money page” in “one click.” I started the business the first week of October this year. I've had two sales and started SEO the beginning of October. I understand SEO is a longer process. Thanks David! Ps: I'm typing this whilst on a treadmill so if there are any spelling mistakes let's just blame the treadmill and not me! :) Question Two - Does Confidence Make A Difference David, loving the show. I have a question for you, which i think I am picking up through your content. It seems to me that online success comes as much from your own confidence and belief than the business itself? Would this be true, as I think if it is, i have discovered potentially what might be going wrong with my ventures. I dont think that i truly believe in myself enough, so keep on pivoting to start something new? Thanks for your answer if you have the time and all the best for your future plans Paul Samuels, St George Utah Question Three - Passion or Boring Business? Hi David, i would love you to do a show on finding ideas for businesses as this is something that i struggle with. Do you think that a boring business, functional but needed is better than one that fills the passion zone that people talk about. Jim Rhapsody Question Four - Should I Start A Podcast Hi Join Up Dots...What would be your advice for starting a podcast nowadays. It seems that everyone has a podcast. Celebrities have podcasts. Celebrities have audiences. Do you think that you can start one in 2021 and still get an audience that I can monetize as successfully as you have? Melanie Ferrell, Ashton-in-Makerfield

British comedy-horror animator David Firth is known universally for his Salad Fingers series, and has been putting up short films on his website fat-pie.com for decades. He has worked with the BBC and the likes of David Mitchell among many others.I think Lynchean – in that David Lynch manner – is the most apt word to describe his subtle blend of the creepy, eerie, nightmarish qualities of his cartoons with a very dark sense of humour. Catch him on Twitter and get yourself a Salad Fingers toy for Halloween. Before I forget – this background music is by the late Clara Rockmore on the Theremin instrument, and it ran through David’s Spoilsbury Toast Boy film, which is creepy as hell. This is like a Desert Island Discs of his stuff, as I play a bunch of clips of his best stuff, while he talks about them - all these clips belong to David Firth and the full versions can be found on fat-pie.com. People in the featured photo for today's podcast. Back row: Amir, David, Rhonda, and Dave. Front row: Steve and Barb This will be our first podcast of 2020, so we wanted to make it a really good one! Rhonda, Dave and I are very proud to welcome Steve Reinhard and his wonderful wife, Barb, on today’s podcast. Steve and Barbara flew in from Colorado to join the Sunday hike and do this podcast in the “Murietta Studios” following the hike. Steve is a former electrical contractor and lay minister, and is the first certified life coach to be admitted into the TEAM-CBT certification program at the Feeling Good Institute in Mt. View, Ca, (link). The following is a heart-warming email I received from Steve prior to the show. Subject: Re: looking forward Hi David, Woohoo! We are partners in crime! I'm feeling super comfortable now. Thanks David for your generous invitation! I'm happy to jump on any of the 3 options you suggested for the show. I'd love to hear your stories, especially those of undistorted sadness where you celebrated with tears, aware of the suffering we folks tend to keep hidden. I cry a lot these days, laugh a lot too. In that regard I'd love to have my own personal Ask David session. David, I love the old, demented, weak human guy, while admiring the pioneering, genius who teaches so clearly & humanly. My questions wouldn't be so much for me to learn or be taught but to connect with you. I'm crying as I write. As a listener I want to connect with the human, David. May or may not be something you want to do. We have loads to interact with. Yep, I take a "spiritual " approach & would love to interact with you being anti-religious. Listeners might find this helpful & it sounds fun to me. A great opportunity for me to experience a death of the ego & the acceptance paradox which I have found liberating before I knew what it was called. I'd love to talk about what it's like to be diagnosed with blood cancer and holey bones & some of the nutty things we say to each other when we don't know what to say. Empathy in the Five Secrets way is extremely rare from my distorted perspective. Aging & being willing to challenge the many shoulds & shouldn'ts that accompany things being different than they were last year would be fun to talk about. I can't keep track of the # of times folks repeat "getting old is hell", same with cancer, vision problems, walking problems, drug side effects. I would love to hear your stories & experience as an old demented guy who can't walk as fast as he did a couple years ago. Thanks for your generous invitation. I still find it surprising that I get to have this experience with you all. I'm really looking forward to today’s show. Steve We began the podcast with a discussion of the role of lay therapists in the field of mental health. Coaching is newly emerging field of counseling that does not require graduate work in psychiatry, psychology, social work, or counseling. In the past, coaches have not been permitted to enter the TEAM-CBT certification program. However, Dr. Angela Krumm, who is the head of the FGI certification program changed that policy specifically so that Steve—and now, other certified coaches as well--can be certified in TEAM-CBT, and I applaud this change. The role of lay therapists has always been highly controversial. I can recall that when I was in college in the 1960s, there was a lively debate about so-called “lay psychoanalysts.” Previously, you had to be an MD to be a psychoanalyst, but over time, non-MDs were permitted to become psychoanalysts. To my way of thinking, this debate has always been more about power and the protection of territory than about skill or the capacity to heal. Now we are seeing the same questions being raised about certified life coaches. In my experience, graduate training doesn’t always guarantee that someone will be a skillful therapist, and sometimes the opposite is true. In fact, in my experience, the LESS previous training therapists have, the easier they are to train in TEAM-CBT, because they don’t have so much training they have to “unlearn.” The Buddhists say that an empty cup is better than a full cup, because the full cup spills over when you try to pour the wine. Of course, there’s a downside, too, since therapists can also be sometimes exploitative and can be hurtful to patients. This includes coaches as well as mental health professionals with graduate training. Next, we asked Steve about the role of spirituality in his TEAM-CBT counseling, since he is a also a lay minister. I am convinced that the spiritual dimension can be important and powerful in therapy, and that at the moment of our deepest change, the change is not only psychological, emotional, and behavioral, but also spiritual, because we may suddenly “see” things from a much deeper perspective. Much in TEAM-CBT is easily integrated with spirituality. For example, the Acceptance Paradox is an inherently spiritual technique that can play an important role in recovery from depression and anxiety. One of Steve’s motives I doing this podcast was to have his own Ask David session, and one of his questions was, “What is it like to be regarded by many people as a guru?” I described the blessings as well as the occasional curses and problems that come with this moniker! Then the conversation turns to Steve’s devastating diagnosis of blood cancer—multiple myeloma—just over a year ago, and how hard and frustrating it has been for Steve to get people just to listen and provide support, including his doctors, and how incredibly meaningful it is when people express simple compassion and love. Steve also talks about how he has decided to accept his cancer, and not to “fight it” or to go to war with his body. And acceptance does not mean refusing treatment—Steve is receiving chemotherapy for his multiple myeloma. The acceptance we are describing is more of a mind-set of peacefulness. We also talked about the fact that the problems of aging are not unique, but are simply the problems of living, problems we can encounter at any age. The whole basis of cognitive therapy is that our feelings result from our thoughts, and not the circumstances of our lives. This is a very optimistic message because we often cannot change the facts of our lives, but we can do a great deal to change the way we think and feel. I ended the podcast by raising the question of “Sadness as Celebration.” I asked whether tears and feelings of sadness in response to the suffering of others might actually be one of the highest experiences a human being can have, and is perhaps the deepest meaning of spirituality. I described a somewhat bizarre experience I had on the Nevada desert when I was a Stanford medical student in the 1960s—it was an experience I have kept secret for nearly 50 years, and talk about for the first time on this podcast. After the podcast, I emailed Rhonda to get her “take” on the show. Usually, we focus on specific techniques our podcast fans might want to learn. But this time, we just kind of were “hanging out” together, so I was concerned and feeling a bit self-critical. I was also concerned that I may have sounded like a loony at times on the show, since my personal story was perhaps over the top. Here’s how Rhonda replied: Hi David, As I was listening to the Steve podcast, it struck me that it was really friends talking, getting to know each other, sharing stories and joking around and being serious sometimes. That's why I thought it was really lovely. I listened to Steve's podcast after dinner. I loved it! You are so charming, and tell sweet stories that open up your life to the listener. I think everyone will love how endearing you are. Steve was articulate, vulnerable and open. While it's not an episode where you are teaching anything specific, it is a lovely podcast and I think regular listeners will love the opportunity to get to know you. Rhonda So, let us know what you think! Thank you, Steve and Barbara, for your generous appearance on today’s show. And we also thank YOU for tuning in today! Rhonda and David PS After the show, Rhonda and I got this great email from Steve: Hi David and Rhonda, Just getting back to communicating after a full & thrilling trip to California! Arrived home Monday evening, then off to Chemo center most of Tuesday & now regaining energy. I like your show notes David—mucho. Really enjoyed the hike, lunch, getting to sit in on Amir's podcast, then to interact with David, Barb, & Rhonda. Loved your stories, David, and the whole experience of tears and celebrating sadness. Oh yea, and the big kiss on the lips! A lot of other ideas & questions have popped into my thinking since the podcast. One being that us Christians are pretty judgmental. This is supremely true, and is probably one of the best-selling points of religion that's kept hidden behind the smoke and mirrors. It's so much fun to judge folks, look down on everyone else and have that feeling of moral superiority! Probably better than LSD I'm guessing. What bugs me about "religion" most is how many folks suffer under the whip of having to improve and become better and jump over impossible standards. Of course, they could move on to the Acceptance Paradox and right into celebrating sadness in a split second if they wish. What wonderful time it was with you all. Feeling grateful to share life with each of you. Love you, Steve Second PS: If you are looking for CE credits or training in TEAM-CBT, my upcoming workshop on therapeutic resistance on February 9, 2020 will be a good one. On today's episode of Join Up Dots as normal for a Friday show, David Ralph answers a couple of questions from listeners across the world, and even brings back the words greatest competition – The Gargle Game. Lets start however with a rating and review on Itunes which then lead me to connect with the chap to say thank you, and gain some advice of my own. This is from an English guy called Steven Harper, who is a musician, teacher and opera singer in the UK. “Thanks David for all the work that you have put into the podcast. I really appreciate it, it has been a kick up the bum that was needed to get me out of a complacent slump. My job is teaching singing and piano and i never considered that my students would be taking my work one day and for less money. Now I am trying to become Steven Harper music teacher and and not just an anonymous teacher. I have listened to all 1000 plus podcast and looking forward to the next 100.” Now what Steven is doing there is talking 100% about gaining a personal brand. He is building celebrity into his work, so people see him as more than the normal and subsequently will seek him out to gain tuition and be accepting of higher prices. This takes a focused approach in regards to putting more of himself out into the world, through visuals, youtube channels, podcasts and live videos of his students transformations. People don't want to play the piano, they actually want to see people who are playing sexy tunes and becoming like them. That is the real transformation that makes a business fly, as the world wants the outcomes as quickly as possible. Now the second question came from a listener in Belgium, by the name of Henry Madsen, who asked “David, I have heard you say on previous shows that 95% of businesses fail within the first five years. What do you think is the reason for this? And any suggestions as to what you would advise myself in trying to start my own business…..kind regards Henry Madsen” The answer to this is quite simple as you will hear on today's show. A business fails due to not selling another of their products, and this comes down to two main reasons. Either they aren't getting the traffic, or even worse they build a product that nobody wants it. Enjoy and I hope to hear from everyone who loves this episode and has ideas of starting their own business.

Being a Tech Evangelist in Orlando often feels like preaching to the choir. We all know what a passionate and dedicated community we belong to but that's not always enough. Orlando's David Glass has worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to provide opportunities and education to our community while raising our nation profile as a top tier tech destination here in the U.S. September 2018 is the target date for the next iteration of OrlandoiX. Although the past three OiX' have been well received it has not come without a ton of elbow grease and hard work. It takes an incredible amount of time and effort to secure space, wifi, speakers and dollars to plan an event of this magnitude. In this episode we discuss the foundation and vision of the OiX brand and some of the difficulties encountered within the community to pull of an experience that benefits both the consumer and the tech devotee. Ask David if it's easy and you will be met with a scowl but ask him if it's worth it and he breaks into a smile. "Absolutely it's worth it" In spite of the obstacles he will not slow down. The goal is to create a brand that unites all of Orlando's thriving tech community, developers, gamers, entrepreneurs and the people that consume their products. Last years OiX featured representatives from Microsoft, HTC Vive, Doghead Simulations and a plethora of local game and interactive media companies. 2018 promises much more and we can't do it without everyone's support. If you are interested in hearing more about next years conference be sure to sound off. We are now accepting submissions for speakers, presenters and expo booths. Sponsorship's are also available. Thanks David for your ongoing passion and hard work on behalf of our community. It may not be easy but we appreciate your dedication and ongoing commitment to making Orlando a tech city of the future. As always, special thanks to Carlos Ivan Marquez for making it happen.

David:    How much website traffic is enough? What’s an appropriate conversion rate from website visits to leads? And what is gated content? Those are just three of the questions that I intend to ask today’s special guest, Kevin Krason. Kevin, welcome to DMR. Kevin:    Thanks David. David:    Kevin founded Biznet in 1994 to realize his passion for the internet marketing and business industries. Biznet is one of the most successful and enduring web develop, an internet marketing companies in Michigan. Kevin, happy 20-year anniversary! Kevin:    Thank you. Thank you. It’s been quite a journey. There’s just never been a dull moment. David:    I’m sure. It has been. That’s extremely impressive 20 years because that’s obviously the year that’s … I think that was the year that eBay was founded, wasn’t it, or perhaps Yahoo. Kevin:    I will tell you, my memory is a little fuzzy, but I will tell you this. In the beginning, when we first started, America Online was the most popular tool for connecting folks together and it was really a BBS at that point. American Online didn’t add web access until1995. They were ahead of AOL. David:    Wow. I think I was first on the web in 1999 actually. Kevin:    Okay. David:    But I started my first business in the year 2000. That was still fairly early on compared with most people but a long way behind you! Kevin:    Yeah. I have open presentations with "back when Al Gore and I invented the internet" and I usually get a bunch of chuckles, so it’s always fun.

It isn't the changes that do you in, it's the transitions. William Bridges Most change ventures fail when leaders think only about the change to be introduced rather than the people who need to embrace it. In this interview, David Broodryk talks about helping churches embrace and adopt the principles and practices of disciple making movements. David is a trainer, coach and catalyst for disciple making movements. You can register online to access his resources. NOTE; I had planned to release this in two weeks' time, but David's insights are so important I hit "publish" as soon as it was ready to go. I think this interview will form the basis of a whole chapter for my next book on movement leadership. It fills in the missing pieces on helping existing churches play their part in disciple making movements. A game changer for me. Thanks David! UPDATE: Interview with Peter Snyman.

X-Plane comes to the Palm Pre X-Plane for is the most powerful, flexible, and realistic flight simulator in the world for desktop and portable personal computers. It is the gold standard for accurate flight simulation, offering realism that is unmatched by any other simulator. To get the flight-modeling accuracy that leaves all the other simulators behind, X-Plane uses blade element theory to predict the airflow over each bit of the airplane, determining the forces that will act on each bit of the plane, adding them all up, and using that huge amount of information to predict what the plane will do next... about 30 times per second! THIS is how X-Plane has the most powerful and accurate flight model available for personal computers. The flight model is so accurate, in fact, that X-Plane has earned FAA certification for pilots to log flight time towards actual pilot ratings (when used with the appropriate hardware), and is used by many aircraft companies to predict how their next-generation aircraft will fly. As in the full desktop version, X-Plane for Palm lets you experiment with different times of day, weather, sky conditions, wind, turbulence, weights, aircraft configurations and centers of gravity, all while flying multiple different aircraft though many different scenery locales from the stunning terrain topography of Innsbruck, Austria, (home to some of the most challenging mountains and topography for aviation) to the deserts of the American southwest. Fly the popular Cessna 172, the sleek Columbia-400, the speedy Piper Malibu, the revolutionary Cirrus VISION very light jet, the stunning and efficient 350-mile-per-hour Piaggio Avantu, the stout and strong King-Air, or the fascinating little Eclipse-500. Fly in various weather and times of day over Austria, Hawaii, Alaska, Desert Sky in the American south-west, San-Francisco, or the hotbed of general aviation in Southern California. Today's video is brought to you by a donation from David and this is what he had to say "Hi sandman, Thanks for making my last video, was wondering if you could make another one talking about false rape claims (the statistics regarding them) + the price men pay who are falsely accused, even after they have been proven innocent specifically here in the USA. Thanks -David" The difference between what David wants me to do and what I've done in the past is to present a fact based argument with regards to false rape statistics in the United States. The most important thing is figure out the source of any stats that outline false allegations and outline them in an unbiased way. The source I'm using for this video is actually an article from back in 2009 called "Why It's So Hard to Quantify False Rape Charges. How Often Do Women Women Falsely Cry Rape?" One of the main reasons feminists get away with promoting the idea that there is a rape culture is because there are no stats to back up what they are saying or stats to disprove what they are saying. It's the obscurity and unavailability of information that allows feminists to say what they do without the Men's Rights Movement proving them wrong. The lack of information in this case is like walking into a dark room with cockroaches in it. You don't know how many false allegations there are versus actual rapes. The actual rapes being the cockroaches in this case, just so I don't piss any feminists off. According to this article there were about 200,000 rapes in 2008. So assuming violent crimes have continued trending down today there would be about 180,000 to 200,000 rapes in 2013 with about 20,000 of them being false allegations. And we are not including the statistics for male rape in prison here. Susan Brownmiller wrote a book back in 1975 called Against our Will: Men, Women and Rape. In her book she says she interviews female police officers in New York Cities rape squad and those are the stats she got. But those are not cold hard stats. On the other side of the coin we have a male author Phillip Rumney and he claims the 2 percent isn't an accurate statistic either and he says the false allegations make up 40% of the cases of rape charges being filed. His data is based on the work of EJ Kanin in the "Archives of Sexual Behaviour." Here's a quote from the article: "Kanin looked at 109 reports of rape to police in one small Midwestern metropolitan area over nine years. His pool was small. The police he studied always offered the victim a polygraph—perhaps signaling they doubted her veracity. And Kanin himself "warns against generalizing from his findings." That's what the article says. one hundred and nine people is a very small cross section of the population and polygraph tests can be fudged and don't always hold up. So I'm willing to split the difference and say that 10-30% of rape allegations are false. It's simply impossible to know how many and David I wish I could give you a clear answer because then we would have some hard data to present to feminists and they wouldn't be able to scream rape culture if thirty percent of all rape allegations were fake.
