Madeleine Herwick ist ursprünglich Physiotherapeutin, auch Yoga-Lehrerin und noch einiges mehr. Doch 2023 spürte sie einen neuen Ruf in ihrem Herzen: Sie will Hebamme werden! Mit Zweifeln im Kopf, aber eben starkem Ruf im Herzen bewarb sie sich für das entsprechende Studium – und wurde angenommen! Seit Oktober 2023 studiert Madeleine nun Hebammenwissenschaft in Hannover. In dieser Venus Codes Folge berichtet Madeleine, wie es war, ihr gut laufendes Business (fast) an den Nagel zu hängen und wie sich ihr Weg ins Hebammenstudium quasi magisch gefügt hat. Sie spricht über ihren Trauerprozess beim Aufgeben ihrer Praxis und darüber, warum das Studium trotz aller Herausforderungen ein bisschen wie "Urlaub" für sie ist. Rose Rouse is a London-based writer/editor/poet who was born in Yorkshire and spends part of the year with her partner, Asanga Judge, in North Wales.In 2016, she co-founded Advantages of Age – a social enterprise which challenges media stereotypes around ageing. She writes and commissions pieces for the website advantagesofage.com, edits them, and curates the FB group. In 2023, she edited an anthology of these pieces – Sex, Death and Other Inspiring Stories – the Advantages of Age handbook to getting older funkily which is now for sale. There was also the first AofA Awards Ceremony at Hoxton Hall which went down a storm.In 2021, she was awarded an Arts Council England grant to put together the performance Dance Me To Death with choreographers, Rhys Dennis and Waddah Sinada from FUBUNATION and a group of Over-60s non-professional dancers. It definitely not coming from a light space, but how traumatized, how disturbed are they as human beings, how dark is their psyche, how unintegrated and divided are they that they can hurt other people in that horrendous way  32:46  I don't think that it's evil, I think it's the absence of love  33:43  It can be a disorienting time to be in the world but just being able to really ground in into your truth and into your power into your light is helping the collective. Clearing your energies and your shadows and integrating that, is impacting the others around you. Through this process. she realized there's a gross lack of resources and support for women who choose to be flat over breast reconstruction.  This has empowered her to use her story and advocate for more women to not only choose to be flat but love the body they are in as they claim their life and health back by becoming Boobless and Fabuless! Well, several actually.Chalk it up to Mercury going retro again, starting my moon, three hours of last minute dress shopping last night with an almost 13 year old - stressing over a big debut today, and a schedule packed tighter than a sausage this week…But I’m just not feeling conciliatory.EVERY thing is on my list (and on my nerves).Both my Great Mother and my Warrioress wounds were out to play yesterday and I decided not to tame them.There is always Medicine inside of the ruffled feathers and the perturbances that show themselves. And I used it all to IN-form our Wild Soul Medicine this week. Being a Whole person requires that we embrace our messiness and our discomforts. It is how we grow and also how we come to know ourselves on the deepest levels.This week, my husband and I had some realizations that our conscious parenting has created a huge sense of entitlement in our newly teenage children. Because we have always tended their feelings and made sure they were met in every imaginable way, they aren’t accustomed to being uncomfortable. At all. We have decided to begin to allow more room for them to explore those spaces of not getting what they want, so they can build a skill set that supports them owning their own power in creating what they desire - rather than having it handed to them.I know my children aren’t the only ones. This sense of entitlement is rampant in our young ones.There has never been such a pampered generation.I see it in the uber political correctness infecting college campuses - where twenty somethings who have been raised with the intention of good self esteem and happy, healthy attachments are now hyper focused on boycotting comedians who might offend their delicate sensibilities or petitioning to fire a professor who referenced a classic piece of literature that happens to contain a scene of violence that had them feeling like they were personally violated.Conscious Hitlers running around policing the very thing they think they are a stand for.And those of us farther down the life path are not immune either.There are many sneaky and insidious ways that our motivation to avoid pain and take a more “conscious” route can actually lead to bypassing the very things that would support our growth.Last week, one of my WSMR listeners wrote an impassioned letter in response to my mentioning that my Guidance has tasked me with tripling my business in the next year. She asked me to transparently offer an accounting of where I spend my money and on what and to explain exactly how me enriching myself enriches others on the planet.She had much to say about shadowy feminine spiritual leaders and the potential pitfalls of haves and have-nots in our consciousness meets capitalism conundrum.As you might imagine...
