This week on the Mark Levin Show, we need to rid the Republican Party, the movement, and constitutional conservatism of bigots, racists, anti-Semites, and anti-Americans. These low lives, like Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon and Nick Fuentes, dishonor the greatest generation that defeated Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini. It's a time for choosing between the good guys and the bad guys, America or the Third Reich/Soviet Union. Republicans must stand up and confront the spread unlike Democrats who allowed it. Mamdani and his supporters like Linda Sarsour refuse assimilate and instead aim to conquer, devour, and dismantle the culture, police, communities, private property rights, and economy. This would attract unassimilated individuals from afar, harden electoral battles, and escalate into a cultural war beyond politics, with devastating effects on education, policing, healthcare, and wealth redistribution, driving successful people away. Tuesday's election results were no surprise because the Democrats immigration strategy to change the demographics and citizenry, without assimilation, has worked. NYC will decline, the question is by how much and Virginia is now part of the federal government. If the election was about affordability why did NJ vote to increase their property taxes and energy bills? neither the law nor the Constitution prohibits a President from imposing tariffs, which can serve purposes like rebuilding industries, countering foreign tariffs, or ensuring national security. Congress holds the power of the purse and could pass statutes to limit presidential tariff authority, but it has not done so, making judicial intervention unnecessary and a potential separation of powers issue. The Court should refrain from involvement, as any limits would come from congressional action or voter disapproval. Every conservative faith leader, organization head, think tank, legal group, media, and political entity need to boldly speak out against vile, poisonous movements on the left and the radical right, specifically fascists, thugs, and neo-Nazis, rather than true conservatives or constitutionalists. Essential federal workers like TSA agents and air traffic controllers are working without pay, leading to staffing shortages and safety concerns. The FAA has announced a mandatory 10% reduction in air traffic at the 40 largest U.S. airports due to understaffing. This could result in up to 5,000 flight cancellations per day, affecting potentially 500,000 passengers daily. Cruz says Democrats blocked a bill to pay essential workers during the shutdown, including air traffic controllers. 2. Analysis of Election Results The podcast dives into the election of Zohran Mamdani, a self-described socialist/communist, in New York City. Cruz and Ferguson portray Mamdani as emblematic of the radical left’s growing influence in the Democratic Party. Also, Victor Davis Hanson's article "The New Antisemitism" argues that Jew hatred, once confined to fringe right-wing elements in America, has been largely marginalized by Republicans and conservatives like William F. Buckley Jr., with recent polls showing 83% of Republicans holding positive views of Israel compared to only 33% of Democrats. In contrast, left-wing anti-Semitism, now entrenched in the Democratic base and campuses, disguises itself in social justice causes like diversity, equity, inclusion, and outrage over alleged Israeli settler colonialism, genocide, and apartheid.  Later, the president is defending his authority to impose tariffs, arguing that if he loses his case, Congress would handle all tariff decisions for every country and circumstance, leveraging its power of the purse. However, tariffs serve multiple purposes beyond taxing citizens, including national security, foreign policy, international economics, and revenue generation. The president must make these decisions due to their broad implications, though Congress could intervene via statutes or funding cuts if he oversteps, which it hasn't due to party control in a republican system. This week was a straight flush for Democrats. Zohran Mamdani completed his heroic arc to become mayor of the world's most important city. Democrats ran up huge margins in the big governor races in Virginia and New Jersey, where Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill, respectively, won by double digits. What unified the three victories was the Democratic candidate's ability to turn the affordability curse against the sitting president, transforming Republicans' 2024 advantage into a 2025 albatross. Affordability is the Democrats' new watchword. And it's a good one. It speaks to Americans' direct concerns. It's a big-tent subject, allowing a democratic socialist to offer one message in South Brooklyn and a moderate Democrat to offer another message in southern Virginia. President Trump's excuses for his party's losses are getting stranger. He's now claiming it's all because Republicans didn't talk about his accomplishments enough, even though the results dramatically repudiated them. But he knows there's a problem. Sounding weirdly subdued, he just openly said Republicans should end the filibuster—to pass lots of new laws making voting a whole lot harder. Translation: The GOP's response to the losses should be rigging the 2026 midterms. Indeed, he also openly declared that if he gets his way, Democrats will “never obtain power.” Donnie, you're supposed to say voter suppression is about targeting “fraud,” not about locking the opposition out of power forever! Last month, former Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi suggested that local and state authorities in California, a sanctuary state, could arrest federal agents for enforcing federal immigration law, saying that while “the president may enjoy absolute immunity courtesy of his rogue Supreme Court, those who operate under his orders do not.” The former speaker, as well as other mayors and governors who see fit to nullify federal law, should take a moment and reread the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution, which “details that local state authorities are subject to treaties and the laws that the federal government makes. And, therefore, pursuant to those laws, they are subordinate,” argues Victor Davis Hanson on today's edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words.” “We know in 1961-63, we had another attempt to nullify the supremacy clause. Southern governors in Mississippi and Arkansas and Alabama said, 'Federal law does not apply here. The Supreme Court ruling does not apply here. In our opinion, we can run our schools the way local people want. And we're gonna resist you.' The Eisenhower, and then later the Kennedy administration, said, 'No, you're not. We have the federal government's military, and we can federalize and hold you in contempt and arrest you because of the supremacy clause.'"
