What makes a show so good you'd rather stay on the plane than land in paradise? In this wildly entertaining episode of The Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers returns from vacation with a bold claim: he's found a new Top 5 TV show of all time—and it's not what you'd expect. The show? Mobland, a gritty British crime drama starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. But before you roll your eyes at another gangster series, Ben breaks down why this one hits different—fixers, family feuds, and Fontaine's D.C. setting the tone with a killer intro track.
The fire rises, brother! This week we conclude our Nolan run with the biggest and most divisive entry in his Batman saga. Also discussed this week: the origins of Tom Hardy's infamous Bane voice, whether or not Joseph Gordon Levitt's character should have just been named Dick Grayson, and…why the hell is Bruce so fucking cruel to Alfred?Next week it's bonus time, baby! Alejandro González Iñárritu may not have made a Batman movie per se…but there's no way we could skip BIRDMAN for this series. The Spin Chagrin, a concept that finds Frank having to watch a movie he's never seen before based on the random spin of a wheel filled with off-the-wall genres, continues into its fourth year. All the categories are quotables from Frank himself. In this episode, Frank's category was "He can break your bones but enlighten your mind.” For this category, he watched and reviewed Tom Hardy's third Venom film, 2024's Venom: The Last Dance.

What's New to Netflix gets into all of the titles for Netflix in May 2025, and it's a lot to cover, so be sure to listen, because you don't want to miss out! Then Scarlett Johansson uses 100% of her brain, leading to all sorts of action mayhem in Luc Besson's Lucy from 2014. Next, we did the first Sicario last month, so now we tackle Sicario: Day of the Soldado from 2018. And finally, Tom Hardy kicks all kinds of ass while also getting his ass kicked in the ass-kicking, Havoc, directed by Gareth Evans from 2025. All of this plus all of the Airport movies, all of the Twilight movies, Vince Vaughn's acting range, betting is cool, football parents, sneaky links, wild robots, and we put the dumb back in Tudum! got a suggestion for the show?: whatsnewtonetflix@gmail.com
In this week's episode of Born to Watch, we're diving deep, like three layers deep, into Christopher Nolan's reality-bending sci-fi thriller with our Inception (2010) Review. The team celebrates three years of podcasting with one of the most mind-twisting films of the 21st century. It's only fitting that a film about dreams, time loops, and subconscious sabotage kicks off our birthday episode. With a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Ken Watanabe, this Nolan original has become a modern classic. But is it as smart as it thinks it is? Does the top fall? And how many times do you really need to watch it to understand what the hell is going on?Whitey, G-Man, and Damo don't just scratch the surface, they go full inception mode, breaking down the film's ambitious plot, its dream architecture, and whether Cobb is actually home with his kids or just lost in another layer. From Dreamscapes to DiCaprioWhitey kicks off with his usual gusto, revealing that he saw Inception solo on opening day, classic cinephile move. He hails it as peak Nolan and DiCaprio's most complex role, while G-Man confesses he just watched the movie in full for the first time this week. Damo, meanwhile, delivers the ultimate snob flex: he's seen it three times and still finds new details with each watch. The team breaks down Dom Cobb's fractured psyche, the emotionally rich (and confusing) relationship with Mal, and how Ariadne (played by Elliot (Ellen) Page) is more than just the new recruit; she's the audience surrogate. There's praise for Joseph Gordon-Levitt's gravity-defying hallway fight and Tom Hardy's cheeky charm as dream-forger Eames. Hardy might just be playing his most “normal” character ever. The Nolan EffectFrom the layered timelines to the rules of the dream world, Nolan's script is pure high-concept storytelling. The boys debate the film's exposition-heavy style, with Damo defending it as necessary and Whitey pointing out how cleverly the rules are integrated into dialogue. G-Man admits that the film almost lost him early on, but it eventually clicked. The group agrees that what sets Inception apart isn't just its ambition, it's the balance between visual spectacle and emotional stakes. Cobb's longing to return to his children grounds the entire story. As Whitey puts it, “Love is the engine of the movie.” And that spinning top at the end? The debate rages, with Damo arguing that the wedding ring, not the top, is Cobb's real totem.Zimmer's Sonic BoomHans Zimmer's iconic score is one of the true stars of the episode and the film. The guys take a detour to relive their recent trip to see Zimmer live, where “Time” was the final encore and “Mombasa” opened the show. Damo drops some deep trivia, including Zimmer's creation of the signature “braaam” sound that became a staple in modern trailers.Zimmer's blend of orchestral grandeur and percussive power is credited with elevating Inception to the next level. It's not just background music, it's narrative glue.Big Ideas, Bigger DebatesThe episode also tackles the meta: could inception be real? Is dream-sharing possible? The crew has fun exploring the logic (and illogic) of the film's concept, concluding that it's a hard "maybe". They also dive into Nolan's place in the pantheon of modern directors, putting him above even some of the biggest names for his commitment to originality.Damo offers a run-through of the best Nolan films, debating whether Inception tops The Dark Knight, Interstellar, and Memento. G-Man drops trivia about the film's production and cast (yes, Pete Postlethwaite was only in it for three minutes), and the whole crew salutes Nolan's ability to deliver blockbuster-level art films.IN THIS EPISODE:Dream physics, logic puzzles, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in zero-GThe tragic brilliance of Mal and why Cobb's guilt is the real villainTom Hardy: suave or too normal? The mystery of Ariadne's tiny pantsIs this peak Nolan? (Spoiler: probably)Listen now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your movie fix.Join the conversation:Does the top fall or spin forever? Is Inception Nolan's best film or just his most ambitious?Who out of the cast would make the best Bond?Drop us a voicemail at BornToWatch.com.au and tell us your dreams—or nightmares—about the movie.#InceptionReview #ChristopherNolan #LeonardoDiCaprio #BornToWatchPodcast #HansZimmer #TomHardy #MoviePodcast #SciFiMovies #MindBendingCinema #DreamWithinADream

What up gang! We are back with our thoughts on Until Dawn (at least Sam has thoughts) and then we discuss our film of the week. This time we look at the Netflix film, Havoc, starring Tom Hardy. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts?
Braga, King, and Ski talk the new Tom Hardy movie, Havoc. Writer/director Gareth Evans is known for The Raid movies, which are legendary action flicks. Does this hold up to his standards? It has Luis Guzmán and Forest Whitaker. Is that enough? Listen!
We do all our own stunts on our podcasts and so does Tom Cruise. That's why we're starting with "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning." It's something to do with AI run amok, plus Tom walks on an airplane wing and takes his shirt off a lot. We watched all 2 hours and 49 minutes of it. Did we like it? You'll have to listen. We've also got the latest Marvel movie "Thunderbolts" which may very well help reinvigorate a franchise. Neil (finally) caught up with "Your Friends and Neighbors" and Bill McCuddy tells us about holding on to something belonging to Gary Cooper. What, pray tell, could that be? Bill M also aught up with a Tom Hardy movie and Bill Bregoli (of course) tells us about a teen sex comedy starring SNL's Chloe Fineman (it's on Hulu) called "Summer of 69." Notice the lack of apostrophe - it's very telling. Somehow Neil was let back onto Broadway again and he swears he saw "this year's 'Hamilton.'" He also watched a Mathew Perry documentary and read a book about Nora Epron. Where does he find the time? And for those who like real crime documentaries we've go "Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer" on Netflix. There's a lot here so listen in!
Greg goes bankrupt, Joe has woke flies, and Scott loves Cali bags.

Tonight on The Whiskey Rebellion, Pat Mullin and Mark Radulich review the gritty, ultra-violent Netflix action film Havoc (2025), starring Tom Hardy and directed by Gareth Evans (The Raid). Set in a corrupt, crime-ridden city, Havoc follows a bruised and bloodied detective (Hardy) who must fight his way through the criminal underworld after a drug deal goes sideways — all while uncovering a deep web of conspiracy, betrayal, and systemic rot.But this isn't just a standard review. As a special treat, Pat and Mark also grade Havoc on a variety of "manly man movie" metrics. From blood-soaked hallway brawls to moments of gruff stoicism, the guys explore whether Havoc lives up to the testosterone-soaked legacy of films like John Wick, The Raid, and Die Hard. Does Tom Hardy deliver peak man-movie energy? Is this Gareth Evans' return to form? And how many bricks must a man be thrown through to earn a perfect score?Tune in for brutal analysis, heavy punches, and heavier banter.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and guest Tony Sedani discuss Brandon Lee's 1992 fusion of American and Hong Kong-style action movies, Rapid Fire!Bowling-related gun violence! A mild electrocution! Cops in suits! Goons with sunglasses! Characters cranked up to 11! A restaurant with an emergency mounted machine gun! An undercover operation in a bowling alley! Seedy Chicago locations! A shirtless running shot that may have inspired Michael Bay's Bad Boys! A very 90s musical score from the prolific Christopher Young, plus hair metal songs from the band Hardline! Impressive action set pieces that pay homage to Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan while affecting how action would be handled in movies to this very day! A cast of character actors that includes Al Leong, Tzi Ma, François Chau, a brief Richard Schiff cameo, and Powers Boothe in a rare good guy role! Brandon Lee doing a brief Clark Kent impression and delivering a charismatic performance that shows he could've been one of cinema's greatest action stars if given the chance! In addition, Alex and Tony share some spoiler-free thoughts on Sinners, Thunderbolts, The Accountant 2, and the newest action epic from the director of The Raid, the gritty Tom Hardy shoot-em-up, Havoc! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED MAY 2022 Dan selects this month's OVER 90 title starring a yet-again masked Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron with a haircut that would have been a much more relevant reference point for Chris Rock to get slapped over. We're discussing "Mad Max: Fury Road" directed by George Miller.
On this week's episode of the "What's Streaming Movie Review Podcast" ... "Streaming Without A Paddle", Andrew and Ted sit down to discuss the Netflix original / Tom Hardy starring movie "HAVOC".
On this episode of Welcome to the Poddy, Clay McMath kicks things off with a courtside look at Greg Popovich's triumphant return to the San Antonio Spurs and what it means for the NBA's most stoic sideline legend. Then we dive headfirst into the science (and nonsense) of “attractive laughs” — who has them, who doesn't, and why it matters more than we'd like to admit. In the body of the show, Clay reviews Havoc (Netflix), the gritty, chaotic action flick starring Tom Hardy. Spoiler alert: it's got more broken ribs than plot points. Rating it a respectable 4/10 dirty cops, Clay takes inspiration from the film's mood and pitches a short film idea you didn't know you needed — Moby Dick, starring Tom Hardy as a cockney-accented NYPD homicide detective hunting a metaphorical whale through the five boroughs. High art? Maybe not. Entertaining? Absolutely. This episode blends movie reviews, sports updates, and unhinged film pitches into the perfect storm of comedy, chaos, and culture.

On this week's episode of the "What's Streaming Movie Review Podcast" ... "Streaming Without A Paddle", Andrew and Ted sit down to discuss the Netflix original / Tom Hardy starring movie "HAVOC".
Summer's here -- at least at the movie theater -- so we've got a jam-packed episode of Breakfast All Day for you. We begin with the movie that's kicking off blockbuster season: "Thunderbolts*," with an asterisk. It's the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the best one in a long time. We really enjoyed this. In theaters. Next up is "Another Simple Favor," the sequel to the 2018 comic thriller "A Simple Favor." Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reunite, and while there's not much spark left, the clothes are still spectacular. Streaming on Prime Video. Then, we honor the beautiful work of the late Halyna Hutchins with a review of "Rust." The cinematographer died in an accidental shooting during production on the Western. Now that the film is out -- and that proceeds are going to Hutchins' family -- we wanted to watch and discuss it. In theaters and on VOD. Finally, we catch up with "Havoc," which has been the No. 1 movie on Netflix for some reason. Tom Hardy plays a detective in a drug war between the city's corrupt mayor and its corrupt police department. From the director of "The Raid" movies. Streaming now. Plus, we did a Movie News LIVE! for the last time before Christy's lumpectomy on Monday. We're not sure what May is going to look like, but we wanted to make sure and say hi to our folks one more time. Among the topics we discussed were Jeremy Renner, "Sgt. Rock," John Mulaney's Netflix show and more. We'll keep you posted on our plans through Christy's Saturday Matinee newsletter. RAAN! HE'S GOT A GAAN! Welcome back to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. This week we became obsessed with a certain set of viral twins from down under…Dom's interview with Tom Hardy got off to a rocky start when Captain Crapbeard had a stern talking to from the star of new Netflix film ‘Havoc'. Things only got worse when we asked him about his time on Barry Island… But despite all that, Dom still managed to secure Oasis tickets??The lovely Reverend Richard Coles dropped by to talk about his live tour, ‘Borderline National Trinket'. As a former member of 80s pop duo The Communards, we thought we'd give him a massive piano and ask him to tickle the ivories, for old times' sake.Katherine Ryan came in to talk about her latest tour ‘Battleaxe', and explained why she wouldn't trust Chris to look after her children. She also offered Dom a 'tight five'...And finally, we surprised Captain Crapbeard with a visit from a founding member of the best band in the world. He still hasn't recovered.More? You want more?
