Today I do some number swapping, some late night metal detecting, and I talk to an entire family of psycho bitches. This show is all thanks to Billio Dillio and the billions of others who support my shows on Patreon and Spotify and Tim Apple. The opening song is by BarberShopJon on Fiverr. The background music is Black Mages by Emergency Pizza Party. The end song is Wheels by Ghost Rappy. You know, I just watched a trailer for La Brea and it looks kind of cool. I doubt I'll ever watch it, but I would probably like it if I did.LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SHOW: To find out more about the music you hear on this show, visit our page of artists. A 355 forint alá is benéző euróárfolyam egyre jobban kinyitja az MNB számára a kamatvágások ajtaját, a swapok esetében ez már meg is történt. A chipszektor továbbra sem bír magával, igazi beruházási boom esettanulmány zajlik a szemünk előtt. Tim Cook is stepping down in September, and The Trio has plenty of thoughts on what the Ternus era means for Apple. Kotaro dives into his embedded systems rabbit hole (Raspberry Pis, ESP32s, and a Godot refresher), while Steve sounds the AI hype alarm, comparing the current frenzy to NFTs and the Metaverse, complete with a shoe company that somehow pivoted to GPU data centers on a $50M budget. Steve's monitor saga drags on, the SpaceX/Cursor "announcement of an announcement" gets the skepticism it deserves, and The Trio wraps up with details on the May 14 IRL meetup in Philly.## Chapters00:00 Introductions05:54 Kotaro's Side Project Adventures08:29 Diving into Hardware and Embedded Systems11:17 Raspberry Pi Adventures and Microcontrollers14:02 Creating AI Projects with Raspberry Pi18:19 Exploring DIY Devices and Learning in Tech23:21 Game Development and Learning Curves24:16 AI Tools and Programming Challenges26:55 The AI Hype Update and Economic Realities36:57 Balancing AI Use in Software Development39:53 The Hype Cycle of AI and Media44:32 So Long, Time Apple, and Thanks for All the Fish!53:07 The Future of Apple in the Ternus Era56:43 Steve's Monitor Watch Update58:57 Wrap Up01:00:37 Tag## Show Notes- Tim Cook announced his retirement as Apple CEO, effective September, with hardware chief John Ternus set to take the helm.- The Trio agrees Cook grew Apple into the world's most valuable company, and the MacBook Neo might just be his most quintessential product.- Ternus is seen as more of an engineer/visionary, and Steve is cautiously hoping he'll bring more Jobs-era decisiveness to Apple's product direction.- Kotaro is deep in embedded systems this year, learning Raspberry Pi 5s and ESP32 microcontrollers the hard way (wrong cables, wrong GPIO boards, all of it).- He's built a basic AI chatbot device (think DIY Rabbit R1, hooked to Google Gemini) and is eyeing a 5-inch touchscreen home automation kiosk.- TRMNL, the E Ink dashboard device, comes up as a goal Kotaro is working toward, though the large version is sold out.- GitHub Copilot paused new signups, dropped Opus from Pro plans, and started rationing usage, which Steve reads as AI's economic reality finally catching up.- Steve puts AI hype at NFT/Metaverse levels: a shoe company pivoted to GPU data centers, and SpaceX "announced" it has the option to buy Cursor for $60B without actually buying anything.- Steve's XDR monitor watch continues: he watched a glowing review, still can't justify the price, but is eyeing the nano-texture option for his glare-heavy room.- The Trio closes with news of a PhillyCocoa IRL meetup on May 14 at the Vanguard building, featuring Kotaro on Metal shaders.## Links**Hardware & Devices**TRMNL: https://trmnl.com/ | Rabbit R1: https://www.rabbit.tech/rabbit-r1**Snazzy Labs TRMNL Review**Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWw5NKUx40o**AI Hype Update**We are near peak hype (Primeagen): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAREqdtUN48SpaceX/Cursor ($60B): https://www.reuters.com/technology/spacex-says-it-has-option-acquire-startup-cursor-60-billion-2026-04-21/**One More Thing**IRL Meetup RSVP (May 14): https://luma.com/i00ll61z**PhillyCocoa:** http://phillycocoa.orgIntro music: "When I Hit the Floor", © 2021 Lorne Behrman. Today's West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy Podcast for our especially special Daily Special, Blue Moon Spirits Fridays, is now available on the Spreaker Player!Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, posting racist fake videos while refusing to negotiate with Democrats to end the shutdown reveals the madness pouring from the darkness of Donald Trump's mind. Then, on the rest of the menu, Tim Apple capitulated to demands from Nazi Barbie Bondi and removed the ICEBlock app that allowed users to track ICE goons; a fundraiser for the family of the MAGA gunman who opened fire in a Michigan church and set it ablaze, has raised over $275,000, no word on any fundraisers for the four dead and eight seriously injured; and, ICE plans to hire dozens of contractors to scan Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms to target people for deportation. After the break, we move to the Chef's Table where major Japanese beverage producer Asahi has been hit by a cyberattack that left its operations disrupted for the fifth day today; and, Europe has hardened its position on Russia as drone incidents, cyber-attacks and infrastructure sabotage mount. All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.Bon Appétit! The Netroots Radio Live PlayerKeep Your Resistance Radio Beaming 24/7/365!“Structural linguistics is a bitterly divided and unhappy profession, and a large number of its practitioners spend many nights drowning their sorrows in Ouisghian Zodahs.” ― Douglas Adams "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe"Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/west-coast-cookbook-speakeasy--2802999/support.

Chasing Tone - Guitar Podcast About Gear, Effects, Amps and Tone
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 524 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Mine some more Germanium! Well it has been a week! We check in with the guys post the release of the Germanium Tumnus Deluxe and it's fair to say that said pedal is the main subject matter of the episode. We told everyone it was coming. It made no difference! The pedal sold out in record time and it caused some website availability issues and Richard and Brian talk about how they got through a crazy week. The guys recall other pedal special editions and Brian gives away some personal secrets before returning to the topic du jour. Richard details some of the server shenanigans and also talks about how stock levels are managed. Blake calls both Richard and Brian names, but they are pretty hardened to it, and gives some interesting statistical analysis of the music industry. There was predictably an almost immediate response by professional flippers so the guys are also duty bound to look into this. Richard got hold of another new pedal and gets the name wrong but he loves it and that's all that matters. It is the boost he has been looking for so he tells us all...Germanium craziness, Speedos, Tim Apple, Reverb Madness, Devtech Powerdriver, Patreon exclusives...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://modyourownpedal.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the Show.

The fat ones chat about their weeks and Vader’s upcoming trip to see Tim Apple.
There are several reasons why people might blame Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, for things: Perception as the face of Apple: As the CEO, Tim Cook is often seen as the single most prominent figure representing Apple. As such, he often becomes the target of praise or criticism for the company's decisions, even if he wasn't directly involved in every aspect. This can be a common phenomenon with high-profile CEOs. Specific criticisms: There are some specific issues that people have criticized Apple for under Tim Cook's leadership, which may lead to him being blamed. These could include: Pricing: Apple's products are often seen as expensive, and some people believe that Cook has continued this trend, making it harder for average consumers to access their products. Innovation: Some argue that Apple has become less innovative under Cook compared to the Steve Jobs era. They point to a lack of groundbreaking new products in recent years. Environmental and labor practices: Apple has faced criticism for its supply chain practices, including concerns about environmental damage and worker exploitation. Critics may hold Cook accountable for addressing these issues. Business decisions: Some decisions made by the company, such as removing headphone jacks from iPhones or introducing mandatory subscriptions for certain services, have been unpopular with some users, and Cook may be seen as responsible for these choices. Misinformation and scapegoating: It's important to note that not all criticism of Tim Cook is accurate or fair. Sometimes, misinformation or scapegoating can play a role. For example, some people may blame Cook for decisions made by other executives or teams within Apple, or they may misunderstand the complexity of the company's operations. Overall, while there are valid reasons for some criticisms of Tim Cook and Apple's decisions, it's important to be critical of the information you encounter and to consider the broader context before placing blame. It's also worth remembering that not everyone blames Tim Cook or Apple. The company enjoys a significant amount of loyalty and support from its customers and fans. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moodkillers/message
Politicians, like any public figures, sometimes make verbal slips or misspeak, leading to memorable and often humorous moments. Here are a few notable examples:George W. Bush: Known for his malapropisms, one of his most famous misspeaks was when he said, "They mis underestimated me," combining "misunderstood" and "underestimated."Barack Obama: In 2008, while campaigning, Obama mistakenly said he had visited "57 states" in the U.S., obviously misspeaking the number of states.Dan Quayle: As Vice President, Quayle famously misspelled "potato" by adding an unnecessary "e" at the end during a school spelling bee.Donald Trump: Known for his unique speaking style, Trump once referred to the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, as "Tim Apple," which became a widely discussed gaffe.Joe Biden once introduced Barack Obama as Barack America.Keeping politicians on message and on strategy can be tough. If Tim Apple gave everyone an Apple Watch, it would have a huge impact on the world. Here are some of the potential benefits: Increased health and fitness: The Apple Watch is a great tool for tracking fitness and health data. If everyone had one, we would likely see a significant improvement in the overall health of the population. Improved communication: The Apple Watch can be used to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and even use FaceTime. This would make it easier for people to stay connected, even when they are apart. Enhanced productivity: The Apple Watch can be used to control music playback, set timers, and even access apps. This would free up people's hands and allow them to be more productive. Increased convenience: The Apple Watch can be used to make payments, unlock doors, and even control smart home devices. This would make everyday tasks more convenient and efficient. Of course, there would also be some potential drawbacks to everyone having an Apple Watch. For example, some people might be concerned about the privacy implications of having a device that is constantly tracking their activity. Additionally, the Apple Watch is not a cheap device, so giving everyone one would be a significant financial investment. Overall, the impact of Tim Apple giving everyone an Apple Watch would be significant. It would have the potential to improve health, communication, productivity, and convenience for people all over the world. However, there would also be some potential drawbacks, such as privacy concerns and the cost of the devices. Here are some other specific examples of how the Apple Watch could be used to improve people's lives: People with disabilities could use the Apple Watch to control their environment, such as turning on lights or opening doors. People who live in rural areas could use the Apple Watch to access emergency services or get help in the event of an accident. People who travel frequently could use the Apple Watch to stay connected with family and friends, or to get real-time translations. The Apple Watch is a powerful device with the potential to make a real difference in the world. If Tim Apple gave everyone one, it would be a truly transformative gift.

Chasing Tone - Guitar Podcast About Gear, Effects, Amps and Tone
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast! We get off to a good start when Brian plays the wrong theme tune, it's only gonna get worse I assure you...we also livestreamed this episode with mixed results so if you want to hear Richard without the chipmunk voice, this is the place to be. There was a leak of a Strymon pedal this week and the chaps talk about it - there are some mixed views. There was also a peak at the new IK Multimedia AmpliTube Tonex and the guys also talk about it and Blake has had a sneak peak at the software. Blimey guv'nor, thats almost on topic! Google have been making Ai generated elevator music and the guys have views - also Richard may or may not be a massive liar - and the debate on AI rumbles on. Sarah Connor? Richard also discovered the backstory behind the John Lydon Eurovision attempt and it was not what he expected - he feels guilty for being so judgemental, but why change the habit of a lifetime? Eric Johnson is playing at the Woodshed Guitar experience this year and Brian is stoked to be going! He tells us a little bit about what to expect based on his previous experiences.
