Vince, Bobby, and the Gorilla host the program. The Headshrinkers battle “El Matador” Tito Santana & Virgil. Terrific Terry Taylor finds some gear in a garbage can. Plus, 1993 Shawn Michaels battles 2021 Shawn Michaels… No wait, that's just Skinner. Eerie similarities though. Talk about bizarro world! WWF Superstars 1/9/93 (00:57:06) Kamala completes his babyface turn when he saves the Slickster from his handler Kim Chee. The Steiners make their Superstars debut. Bobby Heenan presents Narcissus Promo #2. Ray Rougeau interviews the mysterious clown who reveals his name as Doink. Sherri returns at the Rumble, but whose corner will she be in, Shawn or Marty? Bill Alfonso is now a WWF referee, and for very good reason! Plus, we hear from the Macho Man, Big Boss Man, and the Steiners as the Rumble gets closer.  WWF Monday Night Raw 1/11/93 (01:20:05) UNCOOKED, UNCUT, AND UNCENSORED… It's the DEBUT edition of MONDAY NIGHT RAWWWW! Bobby Heenan does his best to sneak into the show while Yokozuna & Koko B. Ware make history as they're the first match to go on the air for the new program. We get our first look at the Raw Girls. Vince interviews Razor Ramon about his match with WWF Champ Bret Hart at the Rumble. The Steiners destroy the Executioners, Damien Demento faces the Undertaker, and IC Champ Shawn Michaels battles Maxx Moon. Who was Mitch Frerotte? Doink continues to toy with Crush. Plus, the unfortunate debut of Rob Bartlett, complete with many train wreck sound bites from Bartlett's initial broadcast. Oof. WWF Superstars 1/16/93 (01:48:16) Ray Rougeau interviews IC Champ Shawn Michaels about his upcoming defense against former partner Marty Jannetty at the Rumble. Action with Razor Ramon, the Nasty Boys, Yokozuna, and Tatanka. Virgil replaces Hacksaw at the Rumble. Bret Hart seeks revenge for his brother Owen against the Bad Guy. From the first Raw Tapings Yokozuna squashes Jim Powers. Plus. El Matador battles “Wild” Bill Irwin in what was a tryout match for the future Goon. WWF Wrestling Challenge 1/17/93 (01:58:37) Ric Flair takes on a noticeably “off the gas” Jimmy Powers. Matches with Bam Bam Bigelow, the Undertaker, Razor Ramon, and the final appearance of Lance Cassidy. Bobby Heenan with Narcissus Promo #3. Plus. Ray Rougeau interviews Mr. Perfect who strikes a nerve with the Nature Boy and we wind up with a really fun (and great) segment between Hennig & Ric Flair. WWF Monday Night Raw 1/18/93 (02:04:19) The Macho Man learns the lesson to pay his bills on time when he has his hat REPOSSESSED. Mr. Perfect takes on Terrific Terry Taylor, or is it THE RED ROOSTER??? Vince talks to WWF Champ the Hitman as Bret discusses seeking revenge and defending his title against Razor Ramon at the Rumble. Marty Jannetty meets the future Headbanger Thrasher. Macho wants a piece of the Repo Man! Ric Flair wrestles El Matador, but the real story here is the continuing issues between Ric and his former friend Mr. Perfect. By the end of the program, we get two heated promos from Flair and Hennig which sets up next week's Loser Leaves Town match! WWF Superstars 1/23/93 (02:24:20) It's the weekend of the Royal Rumble but thanks to Doink the Clown, we learn that Crush is OUT of the 30-Man extravaganza. Macho & Lawler argue about who will win the Rumble match. Matches include the Undertaker, Marty Jannetty, Papa Shango, Bam Bam Bigelow, and the newly turned babyface Kamala with his new ADVISOR, the reverend Slick! Plus, in another great segment for its time… Ray Rougeau interviews WWF Champ Bret Hart in front of the crowd, but things get interesting when Razor Ramon appears on the video screen wall to argue with the Hitman. Razor OWNS this segment. GREAT STUFF!!! WWF Wrestling Challenge 1/24/93 (02:32:45) Action involving Papa Shango, the Nasty Boys, Yokozuna, Bob Backlund vs. Louie Spicolli, and Tatanka battles Iron Mike Sharpe. Hacksaw talks Headlock on Hunger. Gorilla agrees with the Brain on the “exciting” Bob Backlund. Our final Rumble Report. Bobby Heenan now refers to the debuting mystery man as “THE NARCISSIST”! Plus, Reno Riggins busts out a handspring elbow when he takes on IC Champ Shawn Michaels to close the program.  WWF Monday Night Raw 1/25/93 (02:37:54) The Macho Man exacts some revenge, and more importantly gets his hat back, when he takes on the Repo Man. Babyface Kamala battles the Brooklyn Brawler, who also happens to portray Kim Chee. Oh, the irony… Plus, it only took 3 weeks but Bobby Heenan joins the broadcast booth this week to help sell the feature match. Speaking of which… Mr. Perfect meets Ric Flair in a LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH. This match proves to be an instant classic as the two have a very NON-WWF style match for the time, complete with a blade job by Curt Hennig! Next week is the ROYAL RUMBLE '93 WATCH-ALONG! Including the announcement of the Winner of the FREE PRIZE GIVEAWAY of the AUTOGRAPHED BRET HART 8x10 Promo Pic!

ITS TRULY AN HONOR TO HAVE SAT DOWN WITH THE WWE LEGEND THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER AS AN OVER 30 YEAR VETERAN OF THE WWE HE HAD STORIES FOR US THAT WERE TOLD FOR THE FIRST TIME ON OUR SHOW. SO MANY GREAT STORIES OF ANDRE THE GIANT, ULTIMATE WARRIOR, HULK HOGAN, MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE & THE LIST GOES ON   CAREER NOTES Lombardi began his WWF career in late 1983, competing under his real name and being used primarily as an enhancement talent until early 1989, when he was repackaged as The Brooklyn Brawler. The Brawler character was that of a street fighter, wearing battered jeans and torn New York Yankees T-shirts. Under the tutelage of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, the Brawler entered a feud with The Red Rooster. When The Rooster left Heenan's villain group and became a fan favorite, Heenan stated that he had made The Rooster a star and could do the same with anyone in the Federation. The Rooster defeated The Brawler on Saturday Night's Main Event and then Heenan at WrestleMania V. The Brawler's alliance with Heenan was then phased out and he returned to his former enhancement talent status (retaining the Brawler gimmick), a role he would remain in throughout the early 1990s.   Lombardi made a return appearance in the November 15, 2010 "Raw Goes Old School" episode of Raw as the Brooklyn Brawler with Harvey Wippleman as his manager. He lost in a match against Ezekiel Jackson. The Brooklyn Brawler made a surprise return to pay-per-view on December 16, 2012 at the TLC pay-per-view (which took place in Brooklyn), teaming with The Miz and Alberto Del Rio to defeat 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal). Brawler won the match for his team via submission with a Boston crab on Mahal. In his first win in a wrestling match since 1991, the Brooklyn Brawler actually pinned and beat Triple H on July 6, 2000 at WWE Smackdown! (with the help of WWE superstar Chris Jericho and WWE tag team Kai En Tai) Was Dwayne Johnson's first WWF opponent in a dark (non-televised) match in 1996. In keeping with his Brooklyn Brawler trademark, Lombardi lost the match. Also played Kim Chee (Kamala's manager) in the WWE and also played the fourth Doink The Clown! One of the most recognizable voices in wrestling history has passed away as WWE announced Thursday that Hall-of-Fame ring announcer Howard Finkel has died at 69 years old. No cause was given for his death, but his health condition had worsened in recent years. Finkel was WWE's first employee after being hired by Vince McMahon Sr. in 1975 for the then-WWWF. The voice of Madison Square Garden house shows, he eventually became the company's primary ring announcer until 2000 when Lillian Garcia and Tony Chimel took over on Raw and SmackDown, respectively. By the mid 2000s, he was taken off pay-per-views and did mainly voiceovers with occassional appearances throughout the years on various shows while remaining employed as a WWE historian. Through the years, Finkel got involved in several in-ring angles including one with Harvey Wippleman that culminated in a tuxedo match on Raw and another where he lost to Garcia in a tuxedo/evening gown match, also on Raw. He also came up with the name "WrestleMania." You will hear from: WWE Producer Bruce Prichard and podcaster Conrad Thompson Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez Wrestling writer/historian Bill Apter with Howard Finkel WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry and Busted Open Host Dave LaGreca Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer and Jim Valley ECW Legend Tommy Dreamer Legendary manager/promoter Jim Cornette and podcaster Brian Last and more. twitter.com/wrestlingtwt instagram.com/wrestlingtwt
