In this sermon, Pastor Rick teaches that lasting fulfillment comes from discovering and pursuing God's purpose rather than chasing temporary success, relationships, possessions, or achievements. Using Jeremiah 29:11 and the life lessons of Solomon, he challenges believers to align their lives with God's assignment, recognize the influences shaping their purpose, and evaluate whether they are producing the results God intended.

If you're stepping into this morning with questions about your future, or you're quietly wondering how things will unfold, this moment is for you. This is a prayer to help you trust that God is already ahead of you. We are praying from the words of Jesus in the Lord's Prayer — “Our Father in heaven.” Father, as this new day begins, we come to You with open hearts. Not with everything worked out. Not with every answer in place. But with a willingness to trust You again. You are our Father. And that means we are not walking into today alone. You see what lies ahead. You understand what we cannot yet see. And You are already working within it. So we pause here, at the start of this day. We take a breath. We let go of the pressure to figure everything out before it begins. And we remember Your promise— that You have plans for us. Plans that carry hope. Plans that hold a future. Plans that are not shaped by fear, but by Your goodness. So I release the uncertainty about what is ahead.  I release the quiet worry about how things will turn out. I release the weight of trying to control tomorrow before today has begun. I place it in Your hands. And now, I choose to trust. I trust that You are leading me. I trust that You are preparing the way before me. I trust that even in the unknown, You are present. And now, I receive. I receive hope for this day. I receive confidence in my next step. I receive a steady, peaceful heart. Today, I will move forward with trust. Not rushed. Not fearful. But grounded in the knowledge that my life is held by God. God is with you now. You are not alone in this moment. Across the world, wherever we are listening, You are lifting hearts. From Mexico City to Nairobi, from Sydney to Manila, Your Spirit is bringing hope, renewing vision, and strengthening faith. Jesús, hoy recibo esperanza y confío en Tu camino. God, I feel unsure about my future today. There are questions I don't have answers for yet. Decisions that feel close, but not clear. I'm aware of the pressure to move forward, yet I can't fully see where each step will lead. That's where I am right now. Part of me wants certainty. Part of me hesitates to move at all. For those who love the Lord [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed], what eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for them. This is what 1 Corinthians 2:9 speaks about. The believer in Jesus can rest in peace and joy, but also know they have a hope and a future. This contrasted with the lack of hope and a future for those who decide to reject Christ, not believe or accept Him, and foolishly and rashly utter things they do not understand (Job 42:3). While being blinded by the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4), they have the ability to receive Christ as Lord but some carry on as they are on the broad path, deceived by their own futile understanding lacking divine Wisdom. Such is the peril of those trusting in their own personal beliefs that contradict the Truth of the Word of our Almighty God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Job 42:1-6; Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 53:1-3; Psalm 1:1-2; Romans 8:5-9; Jeremiah 29:11; Proverbs 19:20-21; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Psalm 40:5; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Psalm 34:18.Support the showClick Here to Send Us Your Prayer Request.

I breathe in this truth from Brazil to Portugal, from the United States to India, knowing Your hope reaches every heart that calls upon Your name. Senhor, eu confio no Teu cuidado. Even when doors seem closed or direction feels thin, You are shaping a way that aligns with Your goodness. Give me an unshaken peace that stretches across continents and languages, a peace that anchors the soul when the night feels long. Senhor Jesus, dá-me paz para este momento. Play Episode Listen Later Dec 8, 2025 49:23

In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl continues the series The King Has Come with a raw and life-giving exploration of the second great gift Jesus brings: peace.Turning to the familiar yet profound scene in Luke 2:8–20, Pastor Karl invites us into the midnight terror of ordinary shepherds—suddenly confronted by the blinding glory of God—and shows how the very first words from heaven that night were not “Merry Christmas,” but “Fear not.” That first Christmas did not begin with sentimental calm; it began with paralyzing, mega-fear. And right there, in the middle of stacked-on-stacked fear, the angel announced good news of great joy: a Savior has been born who is Christ the Lord, the Prince of Peace. With pastoral tenderness and unflinching honesty, Pastor Karl unmasks fear as the mortal enemy of peace—how it magnifies threats, shrinks our view of God, and paints our future in colors darker than God ever intended. Yet the gospel is stronger: peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a Person. Peace is not something Jesus gives; peace is who Jesus is—and He gives Himself.Through the shepherds' journey from terror to testimony, we're given clear, scriptural paths out of fear and into the unshakable peace of Christ: speaking God's truth over fear's lies, refusing to agree with the spirit of fear, drawing near to Jesus through spiritual disciplines, and taking bold steps of obedience that move us against comfort and toward surrender. This is a word for everyone whose heart has been ruled by anxiety, worst-case scenarios, or the quiet fears that steal joy—especially in this season. A tender yet urgent call to stop trusting the unknown future to our own control and start trusting it to the known God who entered our fear as a baby in a manger.Because the King has come, fear does not get the final word. Peace does. And when the Prince of Peace takes over a life, what spills out is no longer fear—but praise, testimony, and unshakable confidence in the goodness of God.Essential listening for anyone who longs to trade fear for the peace that passes all understanding this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

Holy Cooperation | Jeremiah 29:11God has a productive plan for your life—no matter the situation you're in. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us of His promise: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."But the question isn't whether God has a plan—the question is our holy cooperation. Are we aligning our hearts, decisions, and actions with His purpose? In this message, we explore what it means to trust, obey, and actively participate in the work God is doing in and through us.

There is a purpose called success that is available to every believer, but why are so many still living beneath their privileges? Too many believers, consistently, are embroiled in unproductive affairs, and are failing to accomplish the greater success that God has called them to.  Pastor Donnie McClurkin, with much exuberance, addressed the elements of success preordained by God. From his text in Jeremiah 29, he reminded the believers that they should expect to excel and achieve their goals because their destiny is in God. They should push forward, while never looking back at past failures and  expect to win.  It's time for them to get out of the perpetual struggle of poverty, brokenness and all dysfunctions and seize the opportunities that are ahead. He cautioned, however, that they should not allow life to deprive them of what God has destined for them and that it's never too late to begin again.  He closed emphatically saying, to never give up on hope. So expect the victory, expect the love, expect the peace and certainly, expect the great success. Expect to win!
