Summer means fun, and fun starts with the youngsters. And as Dallas Stars fans, we're all about the kids in the team's development system. Who's ready for the big league? Who's still cooking? Derek Neumeier, assistant director of scouting with McKeen's Hockey and longtime Friend of DBD, is back on the mic with Wes and Mark. With th 2024 NHL Draft over and training camp still on the horizon, they devoted an entire episode to Nothing But Prospects. Here's the kind of thing you'll hear: which Stars prospects are the most fun to watch, where Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven will start their seasons, how many Stars fans might be lining up for Lian Bichsel sweaters in the near future, why that extra year with the Texas Stars may have been exactly what Thomas Harley needed, and much, much more. Is Logan Stankoven still a prospect? Or not? Stargazing asks the important questions, even when nobody knows the answers. And now you can, too, thanks to our friends at BetOnline. Do you like where we're at, development-wise? Let's discuss it in the comments, or DM us @WesALawrence or @KETibbetts on the short app. (We're only there for you. Don't leave us hanging.) If you can't get enough content on the Stars' goaltending pipeline, don't forget to pick up Taylor Baird's latest article on NHL.com. And please don't forget to rate, review and share. Let's keep the Stars in summer.

The big question of the day is do the Dallas Stars trust Nils Lundkvist? Coming off a win over Winnipeg, Lundkvist did not play in the final 15 minutes of the 3rd period which is a cause for concern considering some of the strides he's made this season. Of course Miro Heiskanen is going to chew up most minutes in tight games, but Pete DeBoar is going with Ryan Suter, Jani Hakanpaa and Esa Lindell in close games. Is the emergence of Thomas Harley also the problem? Stars 19 year old prospect in the AHL, Lian Bichsel, is headed back to Sweden. Joey shares Jim Nill's conversation with Saad Yousef from the Athletic and why this could be a good thing in the long run for Dallas. Also, an update on the Texas Stars who are leading the Central Division in the AHL. Finally, we spotlight Joe Pavelski who leads the Stars in scoring this season at 39 years old. The 2023-23 Texas Stars may boast more genuine blue-chip prospects than they've ever had. They also have a diminished veteran presence and may struggle to reach the AHL playoffs. What shall we make of this conundrum? No reporter knows the Cedar Park system better than 100 Degree Hockey founder Stephen Meserve. And in this sit-down with Mark, he once again shares his expertise with Stargazing. In this episode, learn more about: the peaks and valleys of a rookie's journey through his first season, what Lian Bichsel has learned about North American ice (and rules), whether Logan Stankoven or Mavrik Bourque is poised to grab the first forward call-up, how veterans factor into the team's plans for its prospects, the Stars' investments in net, Neil Graham's future with the organization, and what the Idaho Steelheads are doing that makes "getting sent down" to the ECHL a bonus rather than a demotion. Heads up: Stephen has written a feature for TheAHL.com that you won't want to miss. Follow him on the former bird app to make sure you're among the first to see it. Who's the prospect you can't wait to see in Dallas? Let us know at Defending Big D – or DM us on Txxitter @HitZIceSTAT or @KETibbetts. We'll probably mention you in the next cast, but we probably have to hear from you first. (No pressure.) And don't forget to tell your friends about us. Victory Green is back on the ice, and the Dallas Stars prospects are already putting up W's. Surely, this means this team is a juggernaut that's going straight to the Stanley Cup Final. In the 6th episode of the countdown to the very best prospect pool in the NHL, Sebastian breaks down the prospect pools of the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, and Los Angeles Kings. First, he dissects the Blues' pipeline, which was reinforced with three 2023 1st-round selections, which were used on two-way center and sniper Dalibor Dvorsky, skilled forward Otto Stenberg, and two-way defenseman Theo Lindstein. Next, he looks at the Dallas Stars, who have a strong diversity of prospects stylistically and are headlined by highly-skilled energy forward Logan Stankoven, two-way centre Mavrik Bourque, and the bruising smooth-skating defenseman Lian Bichsel. Last, he breaks down the LA Kings' pipeline, which is no longer a unanimous top-5 pool in the league as it was a few years ago but still features its fair share of exciting pieces, most of all Brandt Clarke, an elite puck-moving defenseman.Tune back in on Monday to see which teams have the league's 14th, 13th, and 12th top prospect pools!Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

The 2022 NHL Draft is upon us, and it's time to start speculating about who the Dallas Stars will select in Montreal. Today, we examine three defensemen who could be the newest additions to the Texas hockey family. Lian Bichsel is a massive player with a ton defensive upside. Could he step in as a younger Jani Hakanpaa? Owen Pickering is a skilled d-man who can move the puck with a lot of efficiency. Could help improve the Stars game in the neutral zone? Lane Hutson is one of the smallest players in the draft, but he may also be one of the hardest workers. Could he be a great fit for the organization and be a mid-round steal for Dallas?Subscribe to Locked on Stars on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/LockedOnStarsFollow Dane on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Dane__LewisFollow the show on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnStarsFind Locked on Stars on you Favorite Podcast Platform:Apple: https://tinyurl.com/3wjnbvp2Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/2p9yx4urGoogle: https://tinyurl.com/2yc492b7Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
Was machen diese besser?
