Mistakes can end up being our greatest catalysts for growth. In this episode of Recounting Life Lessons, Alana sits down with Trish Saemann—truth-teller, no-fluff marketer, founder of GoBeyondSEO.com, co-host of the Break Even Better podcast, and author of Get More Clients You Love.  With a refreshing mix of transparency and hard-won wisdom, Trish shares some of the behind-the-scenes experiences that helped her grow both as a business owner and a person. She opens up about hard-earned lessons from business and life—like what happens when we ignore red flags, the importance of discernment, and how clarity in who we serve (and how we show up) helps us do our best work, avoid burnout, and maintain greater control and alignment in our lives. Whether you run a business or just want to feel more empowered in your decisions, relationships, or leadership, there's wisdom here for you. In this episode: Why doing your due diligence before delegating anything is essential (in business and in life) What Trish learned from hiring the wrong bookkeeper and how it shaped her business mindset How discernment helps you protect your energy, make better decisions, and serve more effectively Why success often requires learning unrelated, unexpected skills The importance of not letting one client, job, or role hold too much control and power Trish's Alignment Attraction framework for how to attract cliets (or opportunities) you love, using alignment instead of burnout Resources Mentioned:  Trish's Marketing Website: https://gobeyondseo.com/ Trish's Book: https://getmoreclientsyoulove.com/ Follow Trish on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dishwitrish Check out her podcast: Breaking Even Better Sign up for our newsletter and become a Sione and Alana Insider for exclusive content, weekly challenges, and more life lessons at https://www.recountinglifelessons.com/insider

During our conversation she shared with me newly discovered memories about her own trauma as well as how she is bravely tackling her pain journey. Lyndsay was diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) a little over 6 years ago (as of Jan 2023). CRPS is one of the most painful diseases on earth. On The McGill's Pain Scale, it is higher in pain than natural childbirth! Lyndsay rocks the world of chronic pain and illness. It has been quite a ride to get her to where she is today. After years of being misdiagnosed, poked and prodded, big Pharma attacked, and botched surgeries, she decided to take things into her own hands and try to heal herself. Having fallen into every Western medicine trap on the planet, she is now advocating for a trauma-informed approach to care and wellness. Video #1 from Month #1 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf3sAd8kafc&t=0s Now, in the video you are going to follow along as we discussed all of the important numbers around this affiliate marketing business that I built from scratch in two years. It starts with looking at the current revenue from a monthly perspective. You will learn exactly how much money my affiliate marketing website is making today. Then we look at how much money the website has brought in from all two years combined. Now it took nine months for this website and about 80 posts before I earn my first $100 with affiliate marketing on this website. In total I've published over 150 posts and I cover the growth of my income as it is mapped on the same graph as the number of blog posts I have published. With affiliate marketing your income is going to be directly tied to how many high-value posts you publish that are targeted to great keywords your audience is searching for. From here we look in to the Google analytics so you can see the exact amount of traffic that I'm getting currently and from the entire two year time span this affiliate marketing site has been growing. You will see that I got hit by Google's December 2020 out rhythm update which was targeting review websites and affiliates. You will also see that I have recovered and you will learn exactly what steps I am taking in order to recover my rankings from this Google algorithm change. All and all the point of this video is to help you gain clear perspective on what it takes to create a successful affiliate marketing website online. There are so many gurus trying to tell you that it's fast and easy to build a website that makes $10,000 per month through affiliate marketing. I had over nine years experience as a full-time digital marketer online and 16 years experience making money online before I ever started this website. The entire plan for this website was to show you in plain view exactly how much time, energy, posts and effort it takes to build a successful affiliate marketing website. To repeat it took me over nine months to generate my first $100 with this website. Most people quit affiliate marketing to early and they think there is something wrong when they have been publishing for four months straight and they are not seeing results. My goal with this case study is to show you that this is completely normal so you can have the correct perspective when it comes to building your affiliate website. If you have any questions for me about affiliate marketing or this video, just leave me a comment below. Thanks for watching. Miles Beckler

How much does an affiliate marketing website make after 8 months? Find out here PLUS, learn why this is the last update. As mentioned in the video... If you want all of the cost breakdowns and also access to the screenshots that show the revenue and traffic data, catch the full blog post here: www.youtube.com/redirect?redir_token=X4GEtB6m9CB-c49Y_6Gs_yEnHJN8MTU4MjExMjI2MUAxNTgyMDI1ODYx&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.milesbeckler.com%2Fhow-to-make-money-blogging%2F&event=video_description&v=Ywf3RIjkCKY I do believe that you can make money blogging with affiliate marketing... In fact, the growth curve of the affiliate marketing website case study projects a possibility of generating over $6,000/mo in revenue from the amazon affiliate program! This is due to the power of compounding starting to work for us. If you aren't familiar how the power of compounding works and why it is so powerful, watch this video next - www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJHEmrjACVA With that said, I explain in this video why you may not want to consider Affiliate Marketing and I also share why it is not a 'passive income' opportunity. I also share my thoughts regarding the affiliate marketing game vs. coaching, selling courses and membership programs if you have expertise people are willing to invest in. Now, if this affiliate marketing case study is new to you, be sure to check out the past videos where I start from Month 1 documenting the process through to today, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf3sAd8kafc&list=PL0sOKzn__yK293vkj2OHzm1rlnTT1WCnh In this video, I've got the month eight update for my affiliate marketing website case study. We're going to go through all of the numbers. Plus you're going to learn why this is most likely going to be my very last update on the affiliate marketing site because a few things have changed and come up in the data. It makes me realize that I'm probably going to have to stop making these videos for you and you're going to learn why at the end. But first, let's jump into the data because we're in the growth curve at this point and things are starting to get really exciting for us. So in the month eight update, what we're looking at is the January data. So that is the eighth month I've been building it. So we're looking at like January versus December data. Really clean data cause both months to have 31 days. So all traffic on the website combined was up 96% so about a hundred percent growth at about doubled the traffic. But here's the cool part of the traffic. 183% increase in Google organic traffic. What this means is we're ranking better. We're ranking for more keyword phrases and for the keyword phrases that we're already ranking, they're moving up, which means we're getting more clicks and we're getting more traffic. Also on the search engines being is up 72% a duck go is up 316% and Yahoo is up 87% so what this means is the site is now ranking in all of the major search engines. They're all driving us traffic and they're all driving us more traffic. And the trend is continuing because I'm recording this in the middle of February, so I'm kind of, I was able to glance at the current data and this trend is not slowing down. It's not stopping. This is the idea of compound and growth. And I'm going to say this again and again in this video, and you've probably heard me say this before there's a long lag time of putting in work, putting in energy, creating the content, doing the day to day work before we start to see the results. But then the results begin to compound and that's what we're seeing. Our impressions are up 175% so this means almost a double as many times we're showing up in the search engines, which is great. Our click-through rate is up 20% this means our titles and our descriptions are getting the click and this really comes down. We've had some writer challenges in the beginning. We were using some teams that just weren't very good, they weren't experts in our world and we have changed that over the last few months. So the content we're putting out has better titles, better descriptions is getting clicked on more often and it is growing. Our average position has moved up 10% as well, so that means Google is liking the site even more. That also means we probably got a higher click-through rate. Those two are correlated there, so those are kind of the leading indicators. The actual data from our search volume. What about money? Right? How much money is this thing making? Well at this point it's $80 and 22 cents in total revenue from last month. Which is an 18 fold increase? That's right. Our revenue has gone up 18 times what it was.

How do I Setup a Wordpress Affiliate Marketing Website?

Click on the link below to discover the #1 skill to making money with affiliate marketing. What do you think it is? http://www.trustthelink.com/ Hey, today I want to answer the question how do I setup a wordpress affiliate marketing website. The short answer is this is the wrong idea to get started. All the money in affiliate marketing is with building a list and what you do with the list when you have it. It's not creating a niche website and sticking Amazon affiliate links or Ads on it. That is the wrong approach and very difficult way to make money. There is no money in ads and no money in the Amazon Affiliate Program. In fact there is no money in sticking direct affiliate links on a website. 99% of people will click on an affiliate link do not purchase the first time they see something. This is why you absolutely need an auto responder. Plus you can promote more than 1 product to a person. You need to send out many messages for 1 week and by doing this your sales will increase a lot and you will make much more money. I do have a website and I do use wordpress it's at trustthelink.com. You will notice that if you go to it you will see 1 video and 1 link and that is it. This 1 link leads to an optin form to get someone to join my list. This is the only reason I use the website is for the brand. To make the very simple page I used Optimize Press and I used a free version that I got from the Chris Farrell Website probably 9 to 10 years ago. Chris Farrell tough affiliate marketing 10 years ago. If you are just getting started with affiliate marketing you don't need a website. There is a service called Leadpages and Optipage that allows you to create a 1 page website. There is even a free 1 page website you can set up with spore.com. Then you can sign up for an autoresponder which you can get for $10-$20 a month. You might be wondering how would you have a blog without a website? The short answer is use Linkedin Articles, Medium and there are many other places where you can write and be seen, like on Facebook. The great thing about both of those platforms is they have millions of users, plus they can get indexed by the search engines, so you can get traffic from Google and Bing. Even better they are more trusted by the Search Engines. If you start a website from scratch it's going to take a while before Google trusts it. You might be wondering if there is anything you are missing out on by not having a website. One thing you can do with a website is sale it. If you put a ton of work into a website later on in your life you can sale it and make money. The second thing you are missing out on is money from ads and adsense. Since there is no money in adsense you are not missing out on anything there. The third thing you are missing out on is being the owner of a webpage that nobody can take from you. You really are buying security. If you are writing on Linkedin or some other platform chances are this is not going to happen. The best part about a domain name really is the branding. This means you can mention the name and someone can type it in directly and a link is not needed. Another idea if you want to make money with affiliate marketing is you don't even need an autorosponder. Yea, you can get started and team up with another marketer and use their autoresponder and sales funnel. This means all you have to do is focus on bringing traffic and that is it. Plus, you can make some really good money, this depends on the deal you make with the marketer. This is the approach I recommend, because it's going to get you paid the quickest, it's the most simple and you are going to be learning while you do it. Get paid first, then you can take the money and re-invest it back in your business.

If you have not seen the previous months, you can access each of those videos in this affiliate marketing playlist here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf3sAd8kafc&list=PL0sOKzn__yK293vkj2OHzm1rlnTT1WCnh The full blog post for this month's update is here: www.youtube.com/redirect?redir_token=-zHw3-0utgTf5n-CRiaAyW3Mk9V8MTU3MTEwODk1NUAxNTcxMDIyNTU1&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.milesbeckler.com%2Famazon-affiliate-program-image-compliance%2F&event=video_description&v=A6DC10RO2wo In previous months we were having difficulties creating enough amazon reviews content to reach my three blog posts per week goal. In month four we had successfully received great content from two separate teams but the challenge moved downstream to the actual layout and publishing of said content My designer couldn't keep up and we brought on a second affiliate marketing assistant to help us publish these blog posts, but she made a massive mistake... she began to download the Amazon affiliate images and upload them to our site which is outside of Amazon's terms of service. It is vitally important to remain compliant with Amazon affiliate marketing rules on your website. which is exactly why we've added on a specific Amazon affiliate marketing plug-in to help us manage this process of publishing, compliantly. The plugin is here: www.youtube.com/redirect?redir_token=-zHw3-0utgTf5n-CRiaAyW3Mk9V8MTU3MTEwODk1NUAxNTcxMDIyNTU1&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.milesbeckler.com%2Famalinks&event=video_description&v=A6DC10RO2wo you need to monitor what your outsourced team is doing on your WP site like an eagle. This is why passive income is not something I believe in. If you would be smart and think passive income is real, you're gonna realize that building affiliate marketing website takes a ton of energy and it's very active income. I still think you should build your own niche site project, affiliate marketing Is a great way to learn did you marketing skills while making money online. And affiliate marketing's great for beginners! but having the right perspective about what it takes to build a niche website is key. Which is exactly why I'm doing this affiliate marketing case study. I don't have an affiliate marketing course to sell you. I'm not trying to convince you that you're going to become a wealthy affiliate with any magic systems... The goal of this marketing case study is to prove to you that becoming a successful and wealthy affiliate is possible… But it also takes a lot of hard work and creates a time of challenges you will have to deal with. As entrepreneurs great way to think about what we do is constant problem-solving. The more problems we solve for others the more we earn! The most successful affiliate marketers and digital entrepreneurs seek out problems to solve for others because they know the not so passive income they desire is on the other side of solving hundreds if not thousands of problems. Whether you want to create freedom as an influencer or you want to hack the authority of your website to grow quickly, realizing that hard work over long periods of time (I'm talking years not months) is the right mindset and perspective to become successful as an affiliate marketer! If you're unsure about how the game of affiliate marketing works, I highly recommend you check out this beginners guide to affiliate marketing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tD97-K5TeE also, in this video I teach exactly what it takes to become successful in affiliate marketing in just one video www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzgh1iECP7I Finally, one of my favorite benefits of affiliate marketing is that it allows you to begin making money online with a very low cost investment. For a domain name and website hosting you can that started at less than $100… With a lot of hard work, building new skills and following through you are able to build a very lucrative business based on your efforts. This is how my wife and I built our first website. We were not traditionally trained in digital marketing, I don't have his computer science degree, we literally just figured all of this out ourselves spending our nights and weekends building our affiliate websites. It took us five years the first time to create massive success. The second site I built took 18 months to create massive success. Once you know the process you can replicate building successful niche websites because you understand how to hack the authority game! In the income that comes from building and growing successful affiliate marketing websites is some of the most freedom influence in your life. It is worth all the hard work to grow into an affiliate who achieves true wealth!

So I'm three months in at this point and that means the first quarter is done and my approach to business and my approach to everything online is really a fire ready aim. It's all about getting into emotion. It's all about taking action starting as the most difficult part. And so many people stay stuck in research mode and they'll just research forever. They won't take any action and of course they're never going to make any money. So I just pulled the trigger and bought a site to get things going. And now at month three we are just stuck in the aim phase so we are just aim, aim, aim. We're still dealing with the backlash from a poor decision on my part to buy 12 posts from one content team. Now I've used this first content team for other types of content projects and it worked. This affiliate site is a different type of content. Review content is simply different. So I bought a batch of 12 posts from them a months ago and they came out terrible. They did not work, they, they missed the boat. So the big key is when you're testing new teams and when you're testing new service providers, start with small projects. I think next time I do a site like this, I'll be able to condense the first three months down into one month because I kind of get an idea of what the mistakes I made and this is why the fire ready, aim approach works is I didn't know how to build this or do this from where I was three months ago. Right? I now know hindsight, looking back based off the mistakes that I've made, I now have a really clear understanding of a better way to do it. I didn't learn the better way before I started. I learned the better way by trying the best and giving it my best and looking back and thinking, oh man, if I would've done that and then that and then that and then that we probably would already be a lot farther along than we are. This is how we actually learn! We had some HR issues, some challenges with some teammates I had brought on individual who has a lot of domain knowledge in the space of the niche of this website and he was doing our reviews for us. He wasn't writing the reviews, but he was going through and choosing all of the different products because he knew these products and he was able to compare which ones were best and which ones was the best budget option, which one was the second best, third best, et cetera. He disappeared, right? He's busy. He had a couple of jobs. This was the extra side thing and he just has not kept up to pace at this point. So we're yet again, building another system around how do we get the actual reviews? Because this is the value I or you as an affiliate offer your audience is really taking the time to actually do a quality review. It's not good enough to just go choose five random things and say, cool. Here they are. There should be actually some helpful information and insight for your audience member because that's what they want, right? Your income is a byproduct of helping other people get what they want. So our goal is not just to publish reviews on anything. We actually do want to know what's good and what's not, and we want to help steer our audience in the right direction. So that's another challenge, right? And you probably have noticed me as someone who's leveraging my money and my income from my other businesses to build this right? This is an investment for me. There's all kinds of HR challenges left and right. If you're doing all of the work yourself, you buy press that 100% and that's what my wife and I did in the beginning.

This is month one of my affiliate marketing case study. I'm going to document the process of building a brand new affiliate marketing website from scratch. The goal is to generate $3,000 per month positive cash flow in one year. I'm choosing a niche that I'm not an expert in. I kind of haphazardly chose it. And in these videos, which I plan to put out once every month, I'm going to document what I'm working on, what I've done in that month, how much it has cost me, and obviously how much income I'm making from that. So in this first one, at the end, you're gonna find out exactly how much money I've spent on this project so far because I'm now one month in and I'm going to detail the process, the path that I'm following. If you get it started, the real goal for you here is to understand that whether you're a super busy executive, you've got hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and you want to build a business on the side by outsourcing. A lot of the work. You're going to learn how that's possible through this video series, but also if you're new, if you don't have a lot of extra money, if you're on a budget and you're bootstrapping this from kind of nothing, right? You're spending as minimal money as possible. You want to do the work to build out an affiliate site. You can also execute this plan. You see, I'm made with my multiple brands online of a millions of dollars online. My cash flow is extremely solid right now, my time, I don't have much time, so I'm paying other people to do the work, but you can just as easily do the work that on your and of for yourself, right? You could just do the work yourself. That's how my wife and I built our first brand. That's how I built this miles Beckler brand that you're watching here. This is just a new case study. Again, proving that anyone can build a successful affiliate marketing website on any niche, and I'm going to talk about how I chose the niche, so the overall plan, right? Choose a niche of products that people are searching for and that search volume is going up over time. You look at Google trends to see that it's a thing that's trending right and people are trying to figure out which one is the right one for them because I can meet these people with a piece of content and we're putting up two types of content. Number one is informative content. The informative content is what we're going to use for backlink building. This does not promote specific products. Normally it might here and there it just talks about the different things you need to know about in the world of what I'm working with right within this niche. Then the second one are specific reviews. The best cheap, this, the best that the best for under a hundred dollars, the best for under $500. All of those keyword phrases that people search when they're ready to purchase those. A review based content and I'm not going to really build links to that cause people don't like linking out to those types of posts, but those posts are going to rank on Google and essentially people will read the posts, they'll click through, they'll go to Amazon or whatever, whatever vendor I link them to that has the best deal they'll purchase. I will earn a commission for connecting that individual with what they wanted by a piece of content. So essentially our plan that's created multiple millions of dollars online that I'm yet again duplicating out over I'm looking that I'm going to be willing to put in $50,000 into this website. That's kind of my goal. In order to get the $3,000 a month cashflow, the competition for that seed income of mine, that that investment is actually real estate investing. And I did a video on this recently where with about $50,000 in, I could generate maybe $400 per month positive cash flow from a rental property. Okay? This is potentially going to bring me $3,000 per month from that same $50,000 investment. From an investment standpoint, this is a phenomenal return on investment, but yet it's a little bit of a risk. I don't actually know that this is going to work. The theory is sound. I know I've got the skills to build this. I've got a team of people who are going to help me with this and you get to ride along for this entire process, but I encourage you, don't just watch participate. You have to start at some point. You have to actually start the process of building your site. You have to choose a niche. You just have to start writing content. You got to get hosting up.

Today’s question: Today’s question comes from Theo. I am part of a team that just started working on our MVP for a SaaS product. I’m wondering when we should start building the marketing website? Should it be at the same time as we build the product so that we can get Alpha testers? Jake’s answer: This is an easy question: you should start building your website now. Before you even start building your product you should build, at minimum, a landing page. Many people try to overcomplicate things It should have two things: 1) The problem you are going to solve and 2) How you’re going to solve it. A great product to do this is Ship by ProductHunt. It allows you for a small numbers of characters and doesn’t even offer all of the rest of the bells and whistles. When you’re still in development, having that is enough. You don’t know what it’s going to turn into over time, but you do know what the problem is and what your potential solution is. For example, at LaunchPeer, the problem we are trying to solve is that it’s hard to find technical people to build your product for your startup. We are solving this by creating transparency in pricing and getting you access to technical people immediately. The problem and solution have never changed even though many other processes have. As soon as you come up with your idea, it’s time to build your marketing website. You shouldn’t really start the MVP until you have the buy-in for the idea anyway. Step-by-Step Launch Process Setup a landing page. It should have the problem, the solution, and some type of sign up. Start building the MVP. Utilize the list you’ve started to build as your testing grounds. Survey those people and ask them what they want to see. An MVP is the least amount you can build to solve that one pain point. What’s important is launching a product as quickly as you can so you can get those first 10-50 customers and gain a bit of traction. Iterate on the product. Use the feedback you get from those initial users to help refine and build upon your original product. This feedback is invaluable and will ensure you are building something people will actually pay for and use. Ask Your Own Question Got questions about startups and/or startup culture? Business Building Marketing Tools TriUnity has developed several Marketing Tools and Systems to help you promote, advertise, and build your business. You can choose one, two, several, or any combination of Marketing Systems available. 1) Some of our most successful reps have simply referred people to their websites on a consistent basis. As you refer people to your Corporate website it promotes our Exclusive Products and unmatched Compensation Plan. Many people sign up just by viewing the website and learning about the power of our program, especially when they see our Pay Plan comparisons to other companies. How easy is that? Anyone can do this. You should feel comfortable referring your prospects, leads, associates, other networkers, friends, family, and anyone else you know to your site. 2) Custom Autoresponder, Marketing Website, and Fear of Loss System. This System works for you 24/7: When you order the "GO-TRIUNITY" system you can drive traffic to this Lead Capture and follow up system. You can also order the "Guaranteed Tour Takers" people who respond from Internet ads looking for a Home Business and take the Tour of your website. These leads are very responsive and if you call them up to say hello and touch base with them you will sign up a much greater number of them. This system does the presentation, the follow up, and can even do the close. Your Autoresponder System and your email campaign is launched to anyone who visits your site. Your prospects receive emails every other day for a month encouraging them to join the program. You can also use the "TELL A FRIEND" system built into your Autoresponder. This contacts people you know letting them know about your new business venture and how they can check it out, order product, and start their business. You will want to MAXIMIZE your results by using the Autoresponder Training listed on your Training Page in this website and also use the Training in the "back office" of your Autoresponder system.
