Angel White spent most of her childhood singing and entertaining for only family and close friends. It wasn’t until 2015 that she finally took the leap to pursue a career in the music industry as a background singer. Having toured with artists such as K. Michelle, Raury and currently Summer Walker, Angel has traveled the world sharing her gifts, while developing a devoted fan base in Atlanta. In 2017, Angel released her debut EP "Day Sessions," an intimate body of work that explored love, hurt and deep self-reflection. Her newest release "Bed Warmer" is an upbeat, soulful track that explores the complexity of loneliness and self-sabotage. Today 5pm-6pm EST 10pm-11pm BST 2pm-3pm PDTbombshellradio.com Bombshell Radio Allen Bell w/ Kill Them With ColourToday's Bombshell (Bombshell Radio)Repeats 5am EST #NewMusic , #AllenBell, #Electro, #Dance, #HipHop , #Interviews#KillThemWithColourKill Them With Colour is Wes Marsh and Jason Carr.In the last few years, music classification has progressed vastly with an abundant number of subgenres being attributed to up and coming artists. Kill Them With Colour, however, remains unclassifiable. KTWC is an inspired term to describe vibrant art that takes a form of music, as if the spectrum of sound can be visualized in colour. Each track carries its own sense of wholeness and character, bringing a feeling and experience of sound that leaves no threshold of categorization.Kill Them With Colour have produced a variety of remixes as well as original tracks, that juxtapose from chill and wavy, to bass thumping and room-shaking sounds. With over 5 million combined views and listens on Youtube and Soundcloud, as well as recognition from countless blogs and djs. They’ve hit #1 on The Hype Machine countless times for remixing artists such as Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Raury, Marvin Gaye, Chromeo, Bon Iver, A$AP Rocky and Michael Jackson (to name a few) and Hype M Radio listed their Ariel Pink remix “Round and Round” as the #9 overall remix that year. Most recently, their original song “Always Somethin” garnered worldwide success, reaching #1 on HypeMachine once again and establishing KTWC as not only one of the top remixers in the game, but also as producers of original material.Acknowledgement of their talent has been written up by industry taste-makers such as: THUMP, Indie Shuffle, Hilly Dilly, Do Androids Dance, Hypetrak, Earmilk, Kick Kick Snare, Salacious Sound, Stoney Roads, Stupid Dope, Generation Bass, Mostly Junk Food and DJMag to name a few. They've crafted mixes for Toronto's own Handsome Clothing, Empty Culture and the UK’s Capital Xtra.On an international scale, Kill Them With Colour has played live alongside: Cut Copy, Classixx, Azari & lll, Viceroy, Moon Boots, Fred Falke, Solidisco, John Roman, Peer Pressure, and has played locally with the likes of: Torro Torro, Rynecologist, Ryan Hemsworth and Subfractal among others.Look for KTWC to continue to build their catalogue, with a slew of official remixes on the way and an original EP due out in early 2015, coupled with an interactive live experience that speaks true to their name both sonically and visually.

DISCLAIMER: Like last week's disclaimer, we recorded this prior to Kanye's.....er....enlightened views on slavery. So even though we tried to rush this podcast out, we're still late! This week.....We talk about Kanye's bizarre antics (i.e. Scoopa di Poopa), and it's effect not only on hip-hop, but on Good Music itself. Has Kanye basically ethered the careers of Pusha T and Cudi? Where do we go from here? What about other artists such as Goldlink and Daniel Caesar that are getting swept up in this mess? At this point, the only genre I trust is polka. As for other news, we review the latest Janelle Monae album, Dirty Computer and gush over the new Raury project, the woods. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
GUEST As the Faith in Place President and Executive Director, Rev. Sauder’s passion is empowering faith communities across Illinois to take measurable steps to connect the dots between faith, environmental justice, poverty, mass incarceration, race, violence, class, and health. He grew up in Illinois in rural Tazewell County and received his B.S. from the University of Illinois in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, M.A. in Religion from Urbana Theological Seminary, and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois. Rev. Sauder is ordained by the Mennonite Church U.S.A. and worships with Chicago Community Mennonite Church in East Garfield Park. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at McCormick Theological Seminary, co-teaching an environmental certification course for future clergy. OVERVIEW Brian and BrownTown discuss the bottom-up, decentralized organizing model of Faith in Place, the pros and cons of preaching with privilege, and politicizing audiences pre- and post-Trump. After BrownTown learns more about Brian’s journey as an organizer through his faith, the group analyzes how capitalism, consumerism, and militarism inform white supremacy. How does this create and sustain harmful environmental injustices? What we can do to combat it? Here's BrownTown's take. -- Learn more about Faith in Place's work on their site, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well as their affiliate Action Fund on their site, Facebook, and Twitter. The silkily-voiced Garzon-Montano toured with Lenny Kravitz last year, and Crawl is only one of a slew of songs I've been hitting rewind to from his debut album. Noname has dropped one of the most beautifully subtle soul albums of 2016, but it's only now I've found the the time for a proper listen. Manc hip hop from longtime pal Dubbul O hits hard and pays tribute to Gang Starr with its title. Paul White's beat on Lion's Den is dreamy. Synths abound from Aim, Survive, Mogwai and Onyeabor. Lord Echo provides this episode's title and Jungle Fire are back with their second album, Jambu. Piano soul from Sampha and Joseph Scaturro, crazy funk from Thundercat and pure jump-up South American rhythm from Quantic and Nidia. The theme from one of my favourite films, bass from the Cosmic Bridge stable with a Transformers reference and one from the Havana meets Kingston project. Hope you hear something you like! Another year, same old podcast :-) This time we kick off in traditional manner by looking at the BBC's Sound of 2015 choices: Years & Years, James Bay, Raury, Stormzy, and George the Poet. We follow that up with looking back on the last five years and the CTTB albums of 2010,2011,2012,2013 and 2014 and name our album of albums winner.
Maybe the majority of us get so wrapped up in extra activities we don't stop to think about what we may look like to other people. NAW, f*ck that. Be who you are and live to the fullest. Conformity can't define you as a person. Enjoy Brightside Radio episode 104, and good luck in fantasy football. Peter and I donned our Raur Hats and chopped it up with the man himself, Raury. We had an in-depth conversation about spirituality, the importance of family, and the origins of his trademark headpiece. The Atlanta native gets deep as he begins to realize his potential as an icon for this generation. A must listen indeed. #NW3RADIO airs every Wednesday night from 9PM - 10:30PM on WNYU. In celebration of its 20-year anniversary, I dedicate a huge portion of the fourth episode to "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number." This week's guest, Jeff Sledge, (former Jive A&R) gives insight into the making of the late singer-songwriter's debut album and her controversial relationship with R. Kelly. Andrew Hampp joins me as co-host. We, including Sledge, close the podcast with a rundown of new artists (Raury, Jordan Bratton, Tink) and new music that we're fans of. Hosted on Acast.
