Charity shares with candor and clarity her personal failures as well as successes. Her laughable blunders will put you at ease, cause you to think and know that she stands shoulder to shoulder with you on your journey. Chris is a pastor, speaker, author and ministry consultant with The Unstuck Group. Most recently, he was the Pastor Of Ministries at Cross Point Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where he oversaw and helped guide small groups and global and local good across five campuses. Before coming to Cross Point in 2009, Chris was on staff at Seacoast Church in Charleston, South Carolina, for fifteen years, serving as a worship arts pastor, campus pastor and on the directional leadership team. Both Cross Point and Seacoast have been recognized as two of the fastest growing churches in the United States. Chris is passionate about helping people find their next steps toward God within the context of community. His first book, Small Groups For The Rest Of Us: How to Design Your Small Groups System to Reach the Fringes, will be released by Thomas Nelson on September 29, 2015. Most churches in America struggle to have a significant percentage of their adult attendance in small groups. According to recent research done by Lifeway Research, only “33 percent of churchgoers attend classes or groups for adults (such as Sunday school, Bible study, small groups, or Adult Bible Fellowships) four or more times in a typical month. Fourteen percent attend two or three times a month.” Life transformation happens best within the context of community, so if a church is going to be intentional about discipleship they have to develop on-ramps to small groups that reach people on the fringes and beyond. If we continue to offer small groups to the normal church attenders, a majority of the people who show up to church are never reached. Pastors, church staff and small group leaders are trying to figure out how to make small groups work in their church and they don’t know how. Small Groups For The Rest Of Us gives them practical, proven strategies on moving people from the fringes into biblically based communities. With a ministry spanning over forty years Darrell is a prolific bible teacher with a powerful healing anointing. He has seen many saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, delivered, along with creative miracles and the dead being raised. He has a rich ministry heritage, whose deep roots of revival date back four generations to the turn of the nineteenth century in the United States of America. His early ancestors moved in mighty miracles of healing, and were early pioneers of the move of God in this nation. Darrell grew up in revival, seeing teeth filled miraculously, and supernatural weight loss, along with many other miracles, salvations and Holy Spirit infillings. As a result, He began to shut himself in with the Lord at an early age.Serving in many aspects of ministry Darrell was led into obscurity and hid out with the Lord for fourteen years much like the Apostle Paul. One of the things the Lord asked him to do was to listen to the word of God through an mp3 player many hours a day and throughout the night for a number of years. In a time of intense prayer and fasting God appeared to him and imparted revelation about His Throne. Before writing his latest book, “What You Didn’t Know About God’s Throne” the Holy Spirit led Darrell into an intense time of prayer and fasting; he began praying in the Spirit at least six hours a day, but on average eight or more hours a day. This extended period of praying in the Spirit caused mighty revivals to begin to break out.Darrell is founder of Darrell McManus Ministries in the United States and for the last eight years has overseen 684 churches and built and established a large orphanage in India. He has also ministered in South Africa, Honduras, and China, and recently The Lord has given him oversight of a ministry and orphanage in the Philippines. He’s had the joy of being a pastor for more than twenty six years. Darrell is now traveling full time and is in demand as a conference speaker and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs. He conducts School of Ministry classes in various venues, where many are trained to flow in God’s supernatural power. Darrell’s passion is to see believers discover and operate in their God given assignments. God gave Darrell a mandate to help bring an Awakening to this nation and the world. He and his wife Cindy live in Gause, TX. They have two sons, two daughters, five grandsons and one granddaughter. Once upon a time, best-selling author Loree Lough literally sang for her supper, performing before packed audiences throughout the Midwest. Now and then, she blows the dust from her 6-string to croon a tune or two for her grandkids or to sing at weddings or funerals, but she mostly just writes. Over the years, her stories have earned hundreds of industry and Readers’ Choice awards and 4- and 5-star reviews. Loree has nearly five million copies of her books in circulation, and in March 2014, she added her hundredth published book to the shelves. She has written fiction and nonfiction for kids and adults (2,500-plus articles and 68 short stories), and four of her novels have been optioned for movies. . Loree loves sharing learned-the-hard-way lessons about the craft and the industry, and her comedic approach to teaching makes her a favorite (and frequent) guest of writers’ organizations, book clubs, private and government institutions, and college and high school writing programs in the U.S. and abroad.. A writer who believes in “giving back,” Loree dedicates a portion of her income to Soldiers’ Angels, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and several other worthwhile organizations. She splits her time between a tiny home in the Baltimore suburbs and an even tinier cabin in the Allegheny Mountains, where she continues to perfect her Critter Tracks Identification skills. She shares her life with her real-life hero, Larry, who rarely complains, even when she adds yet another item to her vast collection of “wolf stuff.”  Midwatch interviews Christian authors, artists, movie producers, indie film makers, ministers and just about anyone with a story of faith. Bill's freelance articles have been featured on World Net Daily, The Christian Post, popular magazines, and extensively over the World Wide Web. Readers appreciate his unique insights, and sensible, rather than sensational approach to understanding the Bible. Bruce Van Natta is the founder and president of Sweet Bread Ministries. He is a common, everyday person that serves the Living God who is anything but ordinary. His journey from prodigal son to full time ministry stretched out over three decades berfore culminating in a display of God’s power and grace. Starting at an early age in Bruce’s life the Lord proved Himself faithful repeatedly, despite tragedies and countless bad choices and decisions made by Bruce. After high school the Lord called Bruce into ministry, but instead of being obedient he ran away and chose his own path which led to more problems and addictions. As the years passed the Lord kept calling and knocking at the door of Bruce’s heart. Slowly things began to change as the Holy Spirit continued the sanctification process in Bruce’s life. Eventually he was brought to the startling revelation that God’s grace and mercy are not reserved only for those who have made all the right choices, can recite 100 Bible verses, or stand behind a pulpit—-God’s love is for everyday people, everyday! In 2006 Bruce was crushed underneath a semi-truck and was at the verge of life and death when he had an “out of body” experience. During this near death experience he got to see the two angels that the Lord had sent to save his life. Bruce is the only person Doctors can find who has ever lived from some of the injuries he had. (If you wish to hear more about this go to the “Media Center” and view or listen to Bruce’s 30 minute testimony.) Bruce wrote the book “Saved By Angels” which is available at most book stores and on the net. The story has garnered international attention recently so Bruce has been on; Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural” TV and radio shows, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and 5 episodes of the “It’s a New Day” TV show. He has also been on “100 Huntley Street” and the “Nite Lite” TV shows as well as several radio shows and his story has aired  on the “700 Club” several times. In Decmber 2009 “Guideposts” magazine did a feature article on him for their Christmas issue and “Charisma Magazine” told his story in July 2010. Since recovering from this accident he and his family have gone into full-time ministry sharing their gripping testimony wherever the Lord leads. They have felt led to not only minister to the body of Christ but also to those in need, resulting in building an orphanage in Honduras and a church in India with home equity as well as doing prison and jail ministry. He and his wife Lori and their four children-Lauren, Caleb, Jacob, and Emily live in Wisconsin. John Schlitt officially joined Petra in 1986, bringing with him his amazing vocal range and abilities that made him a legend with Head East. Except this time, his mind was no longer blown on drugs and alcohol – he was clean, focused, and armed with a powerful message: God made us to be winners - Jesus Christ is alive and through Him we are to be victorious in His perfect plan for us.  And that’s how it’s been with John ever since. Twenty years later and four Grammy awards on his shelf, sixteen Petra albums, one II Guys from Petra album, and four solo albums recorded - millions of which have sold all over the world - John is a man who lives for Jesus and makes no bones about his faith.  "The only thing I can do is be the best Christian artist I can be, to be the boldest Christian artist I can be,” he says. "I will always be able to look anyone in the face who wants to sit and say 'So you're a Christian?' and I'll say 'You darn right I am; just listen to my music, listen to what I have to say, listen to the interviews.' There's no doubt about where I stand."  While John is arguably one of the most powerful vocalists around, his mightiest cry is the cry of his heart. Whether onstage or up close and personal, John’s voice is one of a truly changed soul. And his music is and always will be a reflection of God’s love and redeeming power. He lives in Burbank, CA. What is 168 Film? Founded in 2003, the 168 Film Project is an incubator for writers and filmmakers to explore scripture and to practice their craft. The 168 Film Project challenge to filmmakers worldwide is to draw a random scripture and in just 168 hours (7 days) shoot and edit a short film. In the Write of Passage competition, writers craft a 12-page script in 168 hours. We reduce barriers to production and create opportunities for pros and newcomers to just do it. Participants from diverse backgrounds and faiths forge dynamic, creative communities.  All Filmmakers are responsible for their own budget, cast and crew. What started as a ministry to local Southern California filmmakers has expanded to a worldwide movement. Many different countries compete in this international contest, some winning top honors.  We encourage fair treatment of subjects with emphasis on story and subtlety.  But most importantly, filmmakers are encouraged to honestly portray the tale that God inspires through the foundational scripture.  “168” films uplift and inform the human condition, showing real consequences for actions and reflecting traditional, conservative Biblical values.  Content rules do not require overtly Christian characters, just real ones. We do not permit swearing or use of the word “God” or “Jesus” as an expletive.  There is no gratuitous sex, language, violence or drug use. Is America on a collision course with God? There is a direct correlation between the alarming number of massive disasters striking America and her leaders pressuring Israel to surrender her land for "peace." Costing hundreds of lives and causing hundreds of billions of dollars' damage, dozens of disasters including devastating earthquakes, raging fires, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, and violent tornadoes have hit America–and always within twenty–four hours of putting pressure on Israel. What can you do as an individual––and what can America do––to change the direction of our country in relation to Israel and prevent the increasing number of calamities? God’s everlasting promise to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel is still in effect today.  Throughout its history, America has been in a unique position to bless the Jewish people, and has experienced many blessings as a result.  In more recent years, however, America has failed to consistently stand by Israel and suffered dramatic disasters. In this interesting and thorough book, McTernan traces the history of the Jewish people in America and how America’s spectacular rise to power was tied to blessing the Jews.  He examines America’s integral role in fulfilling God’s plan for the rebirth of the Jewish nation, and details the times when our nation defaulted on this call.  Through a step–by–step analysis of political events, McTernan gives conclusive proof that God’s judgment on those who curse Israel is still active.  In every case where America has failed Israel, it has faced dramatic consequences within 24 hours. John P. McTernan is a lifetime student of American history, and has studied biblical prophecy since becoming a Christian in the early 1970s. He authored the acclaimed God's Final Warning to America and co–authored the best seller Israel: The Blessing or the Curse. Through numerous appearances on television, radio, and in seminars, McTernan regularly defends Israel in light of biblical prophecy. In 1974, John became involved with the Pro–Life Movement and is a Pro–Life leader in central Pennsylvania. He co–founded International Cops for Christ, where he serves as an ordained chaplain. He served as a US Treasury agent for twenty–six years before retiring in 1998. He holds a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is married and has four children. There are two sides to David Teems (more if you look close enough). Having made his living for years playing music, he began the slow migration to books. Published in 2005, music was shuttled off to the margins. In 2012, he was given old Martin guitar, and with it the joy of music again. With the five published books he’s written, he intends to record more music as well. Look for ALL THAT MATTERS, a new recording, by Fall ’15. His heart is literary. There is a lyric beneath all the noise. Between imagination and faith there exists a kind of twilight. That simply means in the divide between them, eyes are irrelevant. Sight comes by another method, by a deeper, more reliable sense. “We walk in faith and see not” (2 Corinthians 5:7 Tyndale New Testament).—TYNDALE: The Man Who Gave God An English Voice [p. 46]   David grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Georgia State University. After one semester of graduate school (educational psychology}, he started playing music professionally. In 1981, David began writing and performing Christian music. Healing Hearts tells the inspirational stories of Eight courageous mothers and the doctor with whom they share a unique bond.  For pediatric heart surgeon Hisashi Nikaidoh, MD, a chance encounter near the hospital cafeteria would stay in his mind forever. The woman he ran into had lost her son in this hospital years earlier. Now she was working in the very place that had been unable to save her child’s life. Dr. Nikaidoh was stunned. He wondered how she could tolerate coming here every day. But respecting her privacy, he never asked the question. After losing his own son in a tragic accident several years later, Dr. Nikaidoh struggled terribly under the weight of his own grief. And his thoughts went back to this woman. What did she know that he could learn—this loving mother who seemed to have made peace with her loss? Healing Hearts shares eight mothers’ deeply honest and gut-wrenching journeys through grief—their pain, anger, attempts at solace with alcohol and bad relationships—as well as their decisions to honor their children by committing to lives of service. Ultimately, these are love stories—the powerful and reciprocal love of parents, children, caretakers, and most importantly, the love from the Above that brings healing to the broken-hearted. Belonging to a very prominent legal and political family inEgypt, Rev. El Shafie had tried to work within the Egyptian system to reform the country’s human rights regime. Between the challenges he faced in these efforts, his firsthand experience as a survivor of religious persecution, the work he has engaged in since advocating for religious freedom, confronting governments that violate this fundamental right, and conducting fact-finding missions and humanitarian/rescue operations, he has obtained significant knowledge and insight into the dynamics of persecution of religious minorities by religious extremists and totalitarian governments alike. Rev. El Shafie has established two effective human rights organizations including One Free World International (OFWI) which is one of the leading organizations advocating for religious minorities globally and has 28 branches around the world. He has organized and led delegations of parliamentarians and religious leaders to address minority rights and humanitarian issues with government leaders, including several cabinet ministers and other high-level officials, opposition leaders, and religious leaders among others in Pakistan,Afghanistan,Iraq,Israel, and Cuba. As Billy Jack started his career in the oil field, A’Leta had went to school to be a nail tech.  She and her best friend started the salon “Hello Beautiful”.  It was on track to be the top salon in the state. She had a great career going.  A’Leta was a great mother and mostly stayed home with Carney while Billy Jack was at the rig.  She scheduled most of her clients for the week Billy Jack was at home so he could stay with Carney. It was a great set up and they were saving a little money as well as having a lot of fun.  As A’Leta was excelling at the salon, Billy Jack was moving up in the oil field, and I mean literally.  Billy Jack started out as a clean up hand, picking up cigarette butts on location.  It wasn’t long before he had moved up to floors and then when the old rig 72 stacked, he was moved to a new rig 226.  It was there that Billy Jack was given the opportunity to really shine.  He was asked to fill in for a guy who was moved up to derricks but was scared of heights. The derrick board is about 150ft off the ground. It was not long before Billy Jack had the job and he loved it. On March 3rd 2006 just after 11:30pm that Friday night a stripper rubber failed and allowed gas to escape from the hole. It was believed it was static electricity that caused a spark just large enough to ignite the inferno.  Billy Jack was trapped in a fire of well over 1500 degrees and it lasted for over 20 seconds. He was actually melting alive.   At just about 12:03am, A’Leta received the dreaded phone call. It was the same superintendent that hired Billy Jack telling A’Leta to come to the door.  All that he knew was there was an explosion on the rig.  Since he knew the operation we were in, he knew where Billy Jack was and that he was probably dead. As A’Leta was getting hher few things together and getting her dad to get Carney, Billy Jack was fighting for his life. He had to work with the other hands to try and get down. Yes, he was still conscious. After they got him to the rig floor they toted him to the ground in a basket type gurney.  They sat him in the gravel and he heard one say “ how are we going to get him out of that”. Billy Jack stood up, and it was a fearful sight to say the least, but he walked into the ambulance and lay down. Billy Jack is one of the worst living burn survivors in the world. The mental and physical strength this family has is truly a gift from God. Billy Jack amazed the doctors and nurses that came to see him from all over the world. He was given less than a 0 percent to live and told if he did survive he would be years in the hospital.  He proved them all wrong, and walked out 4 months and 17 days later. In his fourth God's Generals volume, Roberts Liardon chronicles God's great healing evangelists of the twentieth century. Journey with such paragons of faith as: " Oral Roberts-one of the most influential Christian leaders in the twentieth century, Roberts had a healing ministry that spread from rural tent meetings to a world-class university, hospital, and medical school. " Lester Sumrall-after being miraculously healed of tuberculosis as a boy, Sumrall dedicated the rest of his life to sharing the gospel and God's healing power with audiences around the world, both in person and through television broadcasts. " Charles and Frances Hunter-often called the "Happy Hunters," Charles and Frances were known around the world as two of the most anointed and enthusiastic evangelists on earth. " George Jeffreys-this Welsh Pentecostal minister-along with his brother Stephen- ministered at camps, conventions, and church meetings across England and Ireland, with reports of miraculous healings and other acts of God accompanying them. " F. F. Bosworth-a Depression-era Pentecostal faith healer and one of the founders of the Assemblies of God, Bosworth was known during the 1920s for his interdenominational "big tent" revivals and large auditorium healing meetings. As you read about the lives of these ministry pioneers, your faith for signs and miracles will grow as you anticipate seeing God's mighty hand move in the church today. Called into ministry at the age of eight, Roberts Liardon has preached in more than eighty countries with extensive ministry in Europe, Asia, and Africa. While Christa’s effortless singing and accomplished violin and songwriting abilities have attracted critical acclaim, she is much more than just a musician. Her passion for speaking and writing have inspired thousands to find freedom from addictions, eating disorders, shame, and self-hatred. Christa began her songwriting career during one of the most difficult times in her life. In a desert treatment facility for eating disorders, she admitted herself for forty days and picked up an old guitar, writing songs that helped cope with the pain of her addictions. Songwriting for personal therapy led to writing for others, and her songs—including the multi-platinum-selling songs God Loves Ugly and Was I The Only One recorded by American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, Deep In Love With Whenever Christa Black looked in the mirror, she was waging a war with herself. Her hatred of her face and body drove her, as a young woman, into frantic overachievement, addiction, and an eating disorder that landed her in rehab. A preacher's kid, she'd grown up imagining God as a "thou shalt not" tyrant. It was only when she miraculously discovered God's unconditional love for her--physical imperfections, moral failings, and all--that she finally began to accept herself. As she tells her story, Christa shares the tools she uses to combat the self-rejection that harms so many people's lives. In this raw testimony, Christa Black takes women on a step-by-step journey of faith and positive belief to reveal that if God loves ugly, then we can too.   You and Help Is On The Way by Grammy winning artist Michael W. Smith,  One Thing Remains by Kristian Stanfill of Passion, Unstoppable Love and The King Is Here by Kim Walker-Smith, and Forever by Kari Jobe—have inspired listeners to explore places of their heart they might have fought to ignore. Christa’s book God Loves Ugly chronicles her personal journey out of destructive cycles into a life of freedom. Unashamedly transparent, she describes her painful struggle to find personal peace from the monsters of insecurity, self-hatred, sexual abuse, depression, and eating disorders. She takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery, exposing the negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions that can lead to paths of bondage. Her conversational style and light-hearted storytelling will leave you laughing at her mistakes, challenged by her teaching, and crying with her pain, inviting the reader into practical steps towards healing and freedom. In 2014, Julie released her first worship album, "Love Rain Down." Combining popular worship songs with lesser-known gems and originals, "Love Rain Down" is a worship experience that reminds us God is there though the highs, lows and all the times in between. Meaningful topics combined with great music makes this an album you don't want to miss. In a rather unconventional road to Christian music, new artist Julie Elias has had to learn and adapt to a new field pretty quickly. “I feel like I got a Masters’ degree worth of information in the first two years, everything was so new! I hear of a lot of worship leaders and Christian artists who have wanted to do it their whole lives. Even though I grew up singing in church with our praise team, it was never something I pictured doing with my life. Never.” Julie’s path included a passion for musical theatre, film and acting which took her to the hustle-and-bustle of Hollywood. Appearing regularly on shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “CSI:NY” and even in films with the megastars like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts made for some great experiences but left her empty in the long term. “Once the initial excitement wore off, I realized that acting alone was not making me feel significant. Since a little girl, I wanted to do something with my life that really impacted others and this wasn’t it for me. I prayed to God that He would open doors that would reveal His master plan for my life, so obviously clear that even a stubborn 20-something like me couldn’t ignore them. And He did. Almost immediately.” Despite what some could see as a delay in her calling, Julie recognizes that her previous experiences were crucial to where she is today. “It was definitely where I was supposed to be at that time. It shaped a huge part of my identity in my young adult life. The crew and actors I met on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ really encouraged me and in Hollywood, you don’t always find people who truly want the best for others. I learned so much by that experience and I am so grateful for that chapter.” Julie is the first to recognize that all of her life experiences have proven essential to her ministry, songwriting and a new series of teen Topic-Driven Concerts that she does at youth groups across the country. “All of the topics I cover – real beauty, rejection, etc. – all are from personal experience. Nowhere do you learn about rejection faster than trying to be an actress in Hollywood!!” she laughs. The concerts include skits based on the topics, a short message, a free 16-page book on the topic (authored by Julie), and, of course, tons of music. All the Rabbis have been wrong for 2,000 years. The Math of Christ uses the fundamental tenets of science to prove conclusively that Jesus Christ fulfilled the prophecies about the coming Messiah for all people. Predictions written centuries before the birth of Christ describe how man can identify the only valid offer of salvation and eternal life for all mankind. True Christians already possess sufficient faith in Christ as the Messiah. This book is written for those technical people and children whose faith may be challenged by science taught in public schools. The Math of Christ will show you how the odds of forty prophecies about the Messiah could not possibly have happened by accident, but rather had to have been the result of a purposeful design. The Father of Mathematical Probability, Dr. Emil Borel confirms that these events were no grand coincidence. Readers will also discover how many other prophecies in the Bible have already come true, how the Bible is full of science knowledge revealed centuries before man actually discovered these facts, how the Earth was made specifically for man to live in and how life would be impossible if very minor changes were made in its existence. Every Christian will want to read The Math of Christ to strengthen their own faith. They will also want a copy for every person they have tried to witness to and reach. Author and lecturer, Colonel Stephen M. From globalization to the digital revolution, secularization to the great recession, change has never happened so fast and wide and deep as we have seen in recent years. The nature of information and the speed with which it travels is unparalleled, and it is changing our world in seismic ways that reach into every crevice of our lives. It's as if the tectonic plates of society and culture are being torn apart and reshaped right under our feet. We are living through a cultural "GLOBEQUAKE." How should we respond as families? In business? Through our churches? With the hope and stability found not on this shifting ground but in the one who created the heavens and earth, says pastor and best-selling author Wallace Henley. Drawing from his experiences in politics and journalism plus his deep biblical knowledge, Henley's analysis is clear, insightful, and thought provoking. There is no alarmist agenda here. Globequake is a well-reasoned guide to navigating the spheres of our lives in a godly manner, even as those spheres wobble on their axes. "Globequake looks at current events and puts them in the context of the larger prophetic picture." ?Cal Thomas, syndicated and USA Today columnist, and Fox News contributor.   Wallace Henley (M.A.) has worked for more than three decades in the fields of journalism, government, and the church. Wallace's passion is helping develop visionary leaders for church, family, education, governance, and business, working through Headwaters Leadership Institute. Wallace is associate pastor at Houston's 57,000-member Second Baptist Church. He is the author of more than 20 books, and served as an aide to President Nixon.   Midwatch With The Rev Thousands have tuned in to listen to one of the most entertaining and extremely funny Christian talk show hosts on the air. How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight...? —Deuteronomy 32:30 Today's pastor or church leader faces a host of dangers, both physical and spiritual, that can destroy ministries, families, and even take the very life of the leader. Thankfully, God has not left us defenseless in the spiritual battle against the forces of evil.  In this much-needed book, Bryan Cutshall does a masterful job of clearly defining the often-overlooked and seldom-appreciated role of the armorbearer. Using biblical examples and references, he paints an accurate portrait of the armorbearer's role, position, and relationship with his or her leader.  When church leaders understand and utilize this important spiritual ministry, the kingdom of God will be able to advance, stronger, and mightier than ever before.   Bryan Cutshall is the senior pastor of Twin Rivers Worship Center in St. Louis, Missouri. As a long-term pastor, he has watched Twin Rivers church grow from fifty-two people to one of the most vital megachurches in the Midwest.
