Daily Meditation Our nation’s flag is more than a piece of fabric—it is a symbol of liberty, justice, and unity, echoing the values and sacrifices that built the United States. In this patriotic devotional, Lynette Kittle reflects on the historical and spiritual significance of the American flag, particularly as we commemorate Flag Day on June 14. Drawing from Isaiah 18:3 and the founding ideals of our country, this prayerful message reminds us that honoring the flag is also about honoring the godly principles of freedom, dignity, and truth that shaped the nation. Whether you come from a military family, a history-loving home, or are simply moved by the red, white, and blue, this devotional encourages you to pause and give thanks for what the flag represents—and for the God who grants true freedom.

Fr. Mike points out the results of what happened to the kings who built idols, and what happened to the kings who tore them down. He encourages us to tear down the idols we've built up in our own lives by trusting God with our first fruits. Today's readings are 1 Kings 14, 2 Chronicles 14-15, and Song of Solomon 3. Al reads one brutal comment he wishes he hadn't, and Jase launches into an investigation to find out if it's true. Jase ponders how Si's buddies can buy the rumor of Si's death while he's sitting at the table with them, and he and Missy prepare for their famously chaotic July 4th celebration. Al's sermon on Joshua 3 uncovers how God doesn't just close the distance between us—he erases it entirely. The guys trace the through-line from Genesis 15 to John 8 to show how God transforms our identity, keeps his promises, and brings us into new life through Jesus. In this episode: Romans 12, verses 1–2; Genesis 15, verses 1–21; Exodus 6, verse 2; Joshua 3, verses 1–17; John 8, verse 58; John 20, verses 19–22; Hebrews 11, verses 17–19 “Unashamed” Episode 1109 is sponsored by: https://myphdweightloss.com — Find out how Al is finally losing weight! The NBA Finals are under way between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers; however, the spotlight has shifted to the conflict between Stephen A. Smith and superstar Tyrese Haliburton. Additionally, a Barrett Media article has emerged urging companies to emulate Stephen A. Smith if they want to achieve success. Jason Whitlock will deconstruct what is happening at ESPN and explain why it is considered the "misleader" in sports. He suggests that ESPN's connection to hip-hop music is a primary reason for its decline, which has contributed to the ongoing tension. ESPN has also highlighted topics such as Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark and LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan, creating drama rather than delivering sports news as it should. Later in the show, Steve Kim will join to discuss Chris Simms and his quarterback rankings. Dak Prescott's mental well-being reportedly hinges on winning a championship this year, while Jalen Hurts seeks advice from Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan on how to secure consecutive championship wins. If you are struggling with chronic illness, always remember that your body is working hard for you every day, fighting for you to heal, and that your body has your back and loves you unconditionally. Always know that you are a good person. Pat yourself on the back and always have compassion for yourself. Do not judge yourself because you became ill. You did not create your illness and you do not deserve to be chronically ill. It's hard to have clarity when a person can't find the answers they need to complete deep healing. It's hard to keep clarity when others do not know their suffering and struggles and it's sometimes hard to see straight when someone is in pain, fighting for their lives on an hourly basis, but always remember: you can heal and healing is what your body understands. Every little powerful tool you apply to your health rings through your body and sounds off your healing powers. Your body holds these healing powers and they are always there, ready to be ignited. As you go to bed at night, remember there is an audience and you are not truly alone. Call upon the angels and ask them to be by your bedside; they are watching you and when you wake up in the morning, know that God is there watching over you and knows about your struggles. He sees you throughout the night and knows you are working hard every day on your healing. God knows what a good soul you are and what kind of soul you are. Chronic illness does not govern over every aspect of who you are but instead becomes a profound spiritual growth experience that can only come from the struggles of once being sick. Just around the corner comes the day you will look back at it all while being healthy again; you will see it from a distance and have a knowing wisdom to carry throughout this lifetime. In this episode… Discover how when a person is chronically ill, they aren't alone and that there is an audience around them from above seeing their struggles and journey. Learn how your body is fighting for you every day to heal. Find out how you deserve to heal, and becoming sick with symptoms and conditions isn't your fault. Learn how your body loves you unconditionally. Hear about how every powerful little tool you use for your healing can move you forward. Learn how it's easy to be conditioned into believing you're a bad person and you're the cause of your sickness, but it's not truth. Find out how easy it is to lose confidence when you're not feeling well and how it should be the opposite because you can heal. Learn about what happens after you heal and how people will see your wisdom. Know how different life will be when looking back at the past when you were sick from the vantage of being healed. All this and more, tune in and don't miss out on this important episode. You can revisit this episode anytime you need it. For more information visit www.medicalmedium.com

In this episode of the Mind Shift Podcast, Aaron McManus and his father, Erwin Raphael McManus, dive into the turbulence in Los Angeles, reflecting on the city's long history of unrest and social disorder. From the 1992 riots to recent immigration protests and political tensions, they describe LA as a city in constant flux. Erwin contrasts this with his recent travel experiences across the country, while Aaron reflects on the emotional impact of ongoing chaos and the deep gratitude he feels for the people anchoring his life. The episode opens by framing these reflections as a backdrop for a deeper exploration of meaning, purpose, and faith.Aaron introduces a new chapter in the podcast: a scriptural series beginning with the book of Genesis. Drawing from Erwin's decades of theological teaching, they set the tone for a thoughtful and disruptive exploration of the Bible. They discuss the relevance of Genesis in both literal and metaphorical terms, highlighting the importance of mythology in shaping belief systems. Erwin pushes back against rigid interpretations, inviting listeners into a conversation that values mystery, imagination, and the power of narrative in uncovering spiritual truths.Focusing on Genesis 1:1–3, Erwin breaks down the creation story by emphasizing the symbolic roles of the four elements—earth, wind, fire, and water—and their resonance with modern scientific ideas. He draws parallels between Genesis and concepts in quantum physics, like energy and light, suggesting that the ancient text contains insights consistent with contemporary science. The discussion highlights the phrase “formless and empty,” with Erwin urging listeners to view it through a symbolic lens rather than a strictly physical one. This segment reveals how scripture and science can coexist as complementary frameworks for understanding our origins. The episode then turns to the sequence of creation, specifically the importance of water and the emergence of light. Erwin explains that water's presence before light speaks to its foundational role in life, while the delayed creation of the sun reshapes how we interpret biblical time. He critiques the literal seven-day creation view, arguing that “days” in Genesis don't equate to modern 24-hour periods. This opens a discussion on energy, light, and the gradual unfolding of creation, presenting a more layered and expansive view of Genesis that bridges faith and physics.Toward the end, Aaron and Erwin explore the creation of stars and the concept of time, leading into a conversation about astrology and sacred signs. They emphasize that the stars are not meant to predict fate but to signal the rhythm of sacred time. The episode closes with reflections on humanity being made in God's image—imbued with purpose and interconnected with all creation—setting the stage for future episodes that will continue unpacking Genesis as both a spiritual and cosmic roadmap.
In March 2022, the senior pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God - Jesus House Parish, Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, resigned from his position at a church in Washington D.C., to ascend a traditional throne as Soun of Ogbomoso kingdom of Oyo state, in south-west Nigeria. His decision sent shock waves in the community as the role is considered part of traditional African spirituality - something an evangelical pastor is not expected to be linked with. But Ghandi insists that the same God who called him as a young man to become a pastor has called him now to become a king. Since ascending the throne, he has been drawn into a legal process by some of his cousins, who argue the throne is not for a pastor. There's also pressure from local traditionalists, who are asking that the new king converts from Christianity to their traditional African religion. This episode of The Documentary, comes to you from Heart and Soul, exploring personal approaches to spirituality from around the world.

He delved into his childhood and relationship with his parents to help us understand that these desires do not appear in a vacuum. He explained why so many use same-sex attraction as a means of attempting to heal the brokenness they feel inside and why an authentic relationship with Christ is the only true healing for such a damaged identity. Once again, we were joined by a highly respected apologist who used his own journey from Islam to Christianity to help us understand why the Muslim perception of Jesus as a prophet and a good man is honorable but misses the point entirely of who He is and why He came. Our guest delved deep into the historicity of the founder of Islam, how much dependable evidence for his life really exists and why there is so much at stake for Muslims, like himself, who choose to turn away from Islam and embrace Christianity. Domestic violence and attempted murder were the starting place of a powerful story one woman shared with us about how she learned what true healing and dependance upon God really looks like. Through her harrowing experiences she gave us biblical and practical insight on what it looks like to choose to truly forgive those who hurts us and to trust God’s goodness even when you can’t see it or don’t feel it. She explained how God can take even the worst thorns of brutality and blossom them into roses of healing and restoration, if we let Him. Are we really seeing the truth about what is going on behind the totalitarian regime of Iran? Our guest has been serving as a messenger of the gospel to the Iranian people for many years and he joined us once again to share more of the amazing stories of God saving and transforming lives in that nation. We helped you lengthen your prayer lists with more moving stories of people who refuse to recant their faith despite multiple threats including to their very lives and the lives of those they love. Join our favorite duo for another exploration behind the headlines as they seek to clear away the rhetoric and confusion by applying God’s straight stick of truth to demonstrate how crooked what we hear in the marketplace of idea is today.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
You know the old saying that hindsight is 20/20. We are now living in the “hindsight” of the sexual revolution whose promise of freedom and liberty has turned into a poison pill that compromised some of the most important foundational truths of our humanity. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest laid out the history of the revolution and explained how abortion and the rise of transgenderism became the outcome of our national pursuit of libertinism. He also explained why a Christian sexual ethic is so important and how Christ-centered marriages are the antidote to the damages of the sexual revolution. Have you ever thought about the fact that every created thing that is , has been or ever will be ultimately finds its origin in the infinitely creative mind of the God who made us creative beings? Our guest helped see the bridge between creativity and ownership and why they are not mutually exclusive. Combing his wide experience related to ownership of intellectual property and patent law with his understanding of the Christian faith, he helped us understand why God allows us to have a limited form of ownership over our creative endeavors, why it is not counter to scripture to own intellectual property and why He made us creative in the first place. We pealed back a small corner of the veil that separates us from the supernatural world as a highly respected bible teacher joined us for a discussion of the realm hidden from our eyes, yet impacting our world, human history and the future before us constantly. Our guest answered intriguing questions like: What was the rebellion at the Tower of Babel really about?, Why did God destroy Sodom?, What are the roles of angels and demons in scripture and are they really at work behind world events today? We had the honor to share the insights of one of the most highly respected experts on Jewish studies and biblical history to give us timely assessment of the increase of antisemitism we are seeing on the news every night and why the role of Israel in prophetic history can not be understated nor ignored. It is time to turn out thoughts to more of the big news headlines from this week and examine them in the unflinching light of scripture as our favorite husband and wife duo continue to teach us how to use God’s word to discern truth from lies and purposeful confusion.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

He begins with his strict upbringing as a Pharisee and his zealous persecution of Christians. Paul then describes his dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, where he was blinded and chosen to become a witness to both Jews and Gentiles. He explains how Jesus commissioned him to open the eyes of others, converting them from darkness to light and from Satan to God. Paul's message from Jesus emphasizes the forgiveness of sins for those who repent and turn to God. Festus interrupts, accusing Paul of madness, but Paul remains composed and appeals to Agrippa's understanding of the prophets. Agrippa is impressed but chooses not to respond to the gospel. Paul's defense starts with a recounting of his past before Christ redirected him. This illustrates his humility, as he acknowledges that he believed he knew what was right but was mistaken and needed to repent. We should share aspects of our journey before coming to Christ when possible. This is a wonderful way to give all glory to the grace of Christ, who redirects and redeems us. Paul further explains that Jesus has given him a mission, which is why he risks his life and remains tireless in his teaching. Like Paul, we should be honest and bold about our mission of service to Christ, living with integrity, and challenging others with scripture in a wise and hopeful manner. Great God of kindness and grace, thank You for bringing us through our sinful past and to a place of hope and faith. Please help us to always give glory to You for who we are in Christ Jesus. Open doors today to share our story with others, to praise the name of Jesus, and invite others to repent and turn to the Lord so that times of refreshing will come. Thought Questions: - How was God patient with you in the years before you became a Christian? Is that a story that can help someone believe in God's grace? - Do you believe God has a mission for your life? From what you know today, what is that mission? Are you passionately engaged in it? - Agrippa was almost persuaded, but something held him back. Who can you pray for today who has that mindset and needs encouragement?

The chaos of kids at home, disrupted routines, and constant mess can tempt parents to just “get through it,” but this mindset overlooks the unique chance summer offers for discipleship, connection, and growth. Scripture calls parents to intentionality, not survival mode, and the habits formed in these months shape children for years to come. By making one deliberate change—whether in family structure, daily routines, or parental priorities—families can transform summer from a season of stress into a time of joy, health, and togetherness. This episode addresses the real challenges of summer parenting, offers practical strategies for family routines, fitness, and nutrition, and encourages Christian families to embrace summer as a God-given opportunity for building lasting memories and spiritual foundations.

We all have areas of our lives with more questions than answers. How do we find true biblical courage while living in the unknown? Today, I'm sharing with you some biblical practices that I've found helpful while living in the unknown. When that inner voice is not heard…life is always miserable and exhausting…If man is constantly exiled from his own home, locked out of his own spiritual solitude, he ceases to be a true person.” From an article on How Silence Helps Us connect With God: Without silence, we struggle to know ourselves and who God created us to be. When our minds are constantly filled with outside stimuli, it becomes impossible to make space for the lessons that silence can teach us about God, about ourselves, and about his work in the world each day. Psalm 46:10 Exodus 14:14 Isaiah 40:31 2 Chron. 20:17 Psalm 37:7 Isaiah 30:15 Psalm 31:24 Psalm 112:7,8 Wes's sermon on silence, solitude, and stillness: Growth and Opposition THE AGE-LONG MINUTE by Amy Carmichael Thou art the Lord who slept upon the pillow, Thou art the Lord who soothed the furious sea, What matter beating wind and tossing billow If only we are in the boat with Thee? Hold us in quiet through the age-long minute While Thou art silent, and the wind is shrill: Can the boat sink while Thou, dear Lord, art in it? Can the heart faint that waiteth on Thy will? St. Francis de Sales 1567-1622 Be at peace. Do not look forward in fear to the changes of life; rather look to them with full hope as they arise. God, whose very own you are, will deliver you from out of them. He has kept you hitherto, and He will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will bury you in his arms. Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day. He will either shield you from suffering, or give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imagination.
