Gen. Flynn is a native of Middletown, Rhode Island and Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Business Management. General Flynn is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses at Fort Benning, GA. He holds two master’s degrees, one in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College in Newport, RI, and one in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the National Defense University. In today’s interview, Gen. Flynn discusses the unique pacing threat posed by China, building interoperability with partner nations, and the future of multi-domain operations in INDOPACOM. The following bullet points highlight some of the key insights from our interview: - While it is often argued that future conflicts in the Pacific will be fought in the air and at sea, the U.S. Army remains critical in securing our regional interests. The Army continues to build relationships with partners on land, and will likely be the only Service not hindered by China’s Anti-Access /Area Denial (A2/AD) system, which is not designed to find, fix, and destroy land forces. As a result, land power will serve as a counterweight to Chinese aspirations both regionally and globally. - The Army’s Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) integrates live, virtual, and constructive environments, enabling our forces and partners to conduct training via a mobile, regional training center in the Pacific’s Arctic, Jungle, and Archipelago conditions and environments. JPMRC enables the Army to maintain a constant presence in the region, train, and build readiness with our allies and partners. - While training with technology in the region of operation is important, relationships matter. Building strong relationships between individuals, organizations, and countries is vital for deterrence by denial. We rely on our allies and partners for their understanding of the geography and the human terrain — the cultures, the societies, and the peoples of the region. - There are three types of interoperability: human, technical, and procedural. There are also three dimensions: human, physical, and information. The crossover or intersection between interoperability and dimensions is the human. By focusing on the human dimension and investing in and building human interoperability with our allies and partners, other vital components of interoperability will follow. - There are four principles for successful network integration. First, it will require an open architecture so Joint forces and mission partners may easily plug into it. Second, there must be a better way to both grant and evaluate the risk of granting authority to operate within these frameworks. Next, the Army needs to be more data-centric. Finally, our forces need to become transport agnostic for our data. Joe Rizzo brings you baseball. Riz & Jeff "The Dawg" Healy watched the first domino in the offseason fall, and it was a big one. James McCann hit on two categories, as he is a catcher and now a Met. Riz & Dawg calculated the next moves for the Mets and what their signing of McCann means for the rest of the league when it comes to the vital position behind the plate. Where will JT Realmuto land? Should the Mets prioritize Trevor Bauer or George Springer next? Riz had a very strong opinion and might have swayed Dawg, as he did with the catchers. Our sponsor https://www.fmsgraphics.com/ can get you your holiday cards or other print and promotional needs, so just give them a shot! Dawg was a week ahead on calling the potential for owners to push back the start of the season, and went deeper into depth on that point as news broke earlier in the day that it was being discussed. That was not the only thing from an ownership standpoint that made news, as the guys discussed the final season of the Cleveland Indians, who announced they are changing their name -- albeit after the 2021 season. Those owners have begun to sign players to one-year contracts, and Riz took a look at three outfielders and their deals, tasking Dawg to throw economics at the issue to see if this becomes a predictor of deals we are going to see over the next few months. Not to be left out were the saga of DJ LeMahieu and his negotiations with the Yankees, a view of what the threshold should be for them to sign him, and what options they have if they moved on. Diamond Diehards: Mets Get Their McCann, Tribe's Last Hurrah

All the Rabbis have been wrong for 2,000 years. The Math of Christ uses the fundamental tenets of science to prove conclusively that Jesus Christ fulfilled the prophecies about the coming Messiah for all people. Predictions written centuries before the birth of Christ describe how man can identify the only valid offer of salvation and eternal life for all mankind. True Christians already possess sufficient faith in Christ as the Messiah. This book is written for those technical people and children whose faith may be challenged by science taught in public schools. The Math of Christ will show you how the odds of forty prophecies about the Messiah could not possibly have happened by accident, but rather had to have been the result of a purposeful design. The Father of Mathematical Probability, Dr. Emil Borel confirms that these events were no grand coincidence. Readers will also discover how many other prophecies in the Bible have already come true, how the Bible is full of science knowledge revealed centuries before man actually discovered these facts, how the Earth was made specifically for man to live in and how life would be impossible if very minor changes were made in its existence. Every Christian will want to read The Math of Christ to strengthen their own faith. They will also want a copy for every person they have tried to witness to and reach. Author and lecturer, Colonel Stephen M. Bauer served longer as a Military Social Aide than anyone in the history of the White House. Under Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Carter, he was responsible for supervising the conduct of numerous social and ceremonial functions for the First Family. He later held a staff position under Presidents Reagan and Bush. His books, "At Ease in the White House" and "How to Sell to the United States Government" are based on his experiences in working for these five Presidents.Steve retired from the Army in 1993 after 28 years of service. His military career included a variety of assignments including Infantry combat tours in Vietnam and the DMZ in Korea and a tour with the President's Honor Guard, as well as a number of positions on the business side of the Army. Steve was born in Albany, Oregon in an Army family. Bruce McQuain from QandO joined us for another edition of Someone You Should Know. The Someone You Should Know radio collaboration began as an extension of Matt Burden’s series at Blackfive. Thanks to Matt, Bruce is now on board and we are lucky to have him as part of the show. Tonight Bruce told us about Army 2LT Mark Daily. Mark was named the ROTC’s outstanding cadet for 2005 and also a Distinguished Military Graduate, the highest ROTC award. Mark was killed by an IED in Mosul this January. Two small items in an OC Register profile jumped out at me, they demonstrate how mature and wise beyond his years he was. On his Web site, Mark listed his top interests as family, peace and progress. He said his heroes were immigrants who risk their lives to achieve better ones. Bruce told us about something Mark wrote on his MySpace page explaining once and for all why he joined, "This question has been asked of me so many times in so many different contexts that I thought it would be best if I wrote my reasons for joining the Army on my page for all to see. First, the more accurate question is why I volunteered to go to Iraq. After all, I joined the Army a week after we declared war on Saddam’s government with the intention of going to Iraq. Now, after years of training and preparation, I am finally here. Much has changed in the last three years. The criminal Ba’ath regime has been replaced by an insurgency fueled by Iraq’s neighbors who hope to partition Iraq for their own ends. This is coupled with the ever present transnational militant Islamist movement which has seized upon Iraq as the greatest way to kill Americans, along with anyone else they happen to be standing near. What was once a paralyzed state of fear is now the staging ground for one of the largest transformations of power and ideology the Middle East has experienced since the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. Thanks to Iran, Syria, and other enlightened local actors, this transformation will be plagued by interregional hatred and genocide. And I am now in the center of this. Is this why I joined? Yes." What is Pundit Review Radio? Pundit Review Radio is where the old media meets the new. Each week Kevin and Gregg give voice to the work of the most influential leaders in the new media/citizen journalist revolution. Called “groundbreaking” by Talkers Magazine, this unique show brings the best of the blogs to your radio every Sunday evening from 7-10 pm EST on AM680 WRKO, Boston’s Talk Station.
