Dort präsentierten sie auch ihre neue Single "Numo, Kosaky". Marco traf Kalush Mastermind Oleh Psiuk und den Flötisten und Sänger der Gruppe, Tymofij Musytschuk. Beide erzählen von den ausgiebigen Konzert-Touren, bei denen sie unaufhörlich Geld für das durch die russischen Angriffe bedrohte UN-Weltkulturerbe in der Ukraine sammeln. Prima dell'estate ci siamo lasciati con le canzoni vincitrici del festival di Sanremo. Questa nuova stagione inizia, perciò, con i vincitori dell'Eurofestival, che attualmente si chiama: “Eurovision Song Contest”. La prima edizione dell'Eurofestival ha luogo a Lugano il 24 maggio 1956, da un'idea di Sergio Pugliese, drammaturgo e giornalista italiano, il quale prese a modello proprio il Festival di San Remo. Suggerì di puntare su di una gara alla quale potessero prendere parte i diversi Stati europei. L'idea piacque all'allora direttore generale del UER (Unione Europea di Radiodiffusione), e così il 19 ottobre 1955, a Roma, venne stabilita la data nella quale avrebbe preso il via l'Eurofestival, al teatro Kursal di Lugano, in Svizzera. Così, dal 1956, il Festival è stato trasmesso ogni anno senza interruzioni in tutto il mondo, fatta eccezione per il 2020 a causa della pandemia. Si è rivelato uno dei programmi televisivi musicali più longevi: l'evento non sportivo più seguito al mondo, perché pur essendo una gara europea, viene trasmesso anche in altri Paesi come l'Australia, il Canada, la Cina e gli Stati Uniti. Venne deciso che la manifestazione sarebbe stata ospitata a turno dai Paesi partecipanti; in seguito, invece, il Paese vincitore avrebbe ospitato l'evento. Nel 1958, la canzone “Nel blu dipinto di Blu”, nonostante si sia classificata al terzo posto, è rimasta una delle più significative e ricordate edizioni dell'Italia alla manifestazione. Abbiamo trionfato con Gigliola Cinquetti, prima vincitrice italiana, nel 1964, con “Non ho l'età (Per amarti)”. Nel 1990, poi, con Toto Cutugno, l'Italia vince grazie al brano “Insieme”, fino ad arrivare al 2021 con la vittoria dei Maneskin, che si sono esibiti con il brano “Zitti e Buoni”. 1987 : La RTBF organise le Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson Il y a près de 35 ans, le 3 mai 1986, Sandra Kim gagne la 31ème édition du Concours Eurovision de la Chanson à Bergen en Norvège. Une grande première pour la Belgique qui doit par conséquent organiser le Concours suivant en 1987. Après bien des palabres et de nombreux désaccords avec la BRT (la télévision publique flamande), la RTBF se retrouve finalement seule avec cet encombrant « cadeau » sur les bras. Ce qui à l'origine se présentait comme un défi de taille prend alors l'allure d'un chemin de croix pour la Radio-Télévision de service public qui traverse à cette époque une période délicate. En proie à de sérieuses difficultés financières, la RTBF n'a pas, a priori, les reins assez solides pour prendre en charge un tel événement. Dès lors, que faire ? Renoncer ? C'est mal connaître le bouillonnant Administrateur-général de l'époque, Robert Stéphane. Ce dernier va remuer ciel et terre pour relever le challenge qui se présente à lui. Entouré d'une équipe très motivée, il parvient à mobiliser son personnel comme jamais et recourt à de nombreux parrainages commerciaux, une première à la RTBF, pour financer le projet. La RTBF présentera finalement un show ambitieux à la hauteur des attentes, mais à quel prix… ?! Cette semaine, le Fantôme de la Radio vous dit tout sur cet événement hors norme qui, à ce jour, reste une des émissions les plus chères de l'histoire de la télévision en Belgique.

Chantal Janzen, a Dutch presenter, actress and singer, was going to host the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest together with her colleagues Jan Smit and Edsilia Rombley, but the coronavirus stopped all that. Now she is hosting the "Europe Shine a Light show", a celebration of the contest. Paulien Roessink from SBS Dutch talked to Chantal about the virus and the impact on the artists, and went back in history when the 14 year old Belgian girl Sandra Kim won the contest.

« J’aime, j’aime la vie… même si c’est une folie » Il y a quelques jours de ça j’ai entendu cette chanson des années 80 à la radio. C’était Sandra Kim, une jeune belge qui l’a chanté et qui a gagné avec l’Eurovision en 1986. J’ai reconnu cette chanson, car elle avait fait parler d’elle. Les commentateurs disaient « ah, c’est bien cet optimisme, cet amour de la vie! » Et moi âgé de 13 ans, cela me surprenait que les adultes s’émeuvent pour si peu. Pour moi c’était évident qu’on puisse aimer la vie. Il n’y avait rien d’exceptionnel à dire son amour de la vie, car je croyais que tout le monde partageait ce point de vue. 3 décennies plus tard, je comprends mieux maintenant pourquoi l’on peut être touché par une personne affirmant haut et fort qu’elle aime la vie. Car, pour beaucoup, l’entrain pour la vie de la jeunesse laisse place à un sentiment de résignation. Une fois adulte, on semble perdre peu à peu la joie de vivre. La plupart du temps, on subit la vie ne ressentant plus l’enthousiasme de nos premières années. Aimez-vous votre vie aujourd’hui? Stephanie is the pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Formerly she was the Associate Pastor for Campus Ministry at Davidson College Presbyterian Church. She has also served other churches in Kentucky. She is married to Andy Wing, another Presbyterian minister. They have two boys, Isaac and Micah, 4 and 2 years old, respectively. Both Stephanie and Andy are children and grandchildren of pastors. In this interview Stephanie asks those of us not already engaged in self-awakening to take action on our own development.
