But before we begin, let’s go back in time with some Colorado history adapted from historian Derek R Everett’s book “Colorado Day by Day”: In 1862 President Abraham Lincoln signed legislation to provide federal land to every state. States could sell this land to fund institutions of higher learning dedicated to agriculture. And on February 11th, 1870 Colorado authorized the Colorado Agricultural College through a bill signed by  Governor Edward M McCook. Now, our feature story. Overall case numbers are still in decline and research suggests that vaccines will work well against the variant. The state has not identified cases from two other worrisome variants first identified in Brazil and in South Africa. Thousands of Coloradans who are victims of unemployment fraud can blame the massive data breaches at major companies. Consumers’ personal information exposed in those data heists can't be erased easily, unlike a canceled credit card. Fraudsters build fake accounts using details like Social Security numbers, gender and birth dates. The state’s department of labor said 1 million false claims were filed from the start of the pandemic to January. Vehicles powered with hydrogen could help Colorado reach its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030. Private developers are looking to install hydrogen filling stations across the Front Range, including at Colorado State University, and big companies like Budweiser are starting to invest in hydrogen-powered trucks. Hydrogen fuel cells can power electric engines, such as in cars and trucks, by combining hydrogen and oxygen through a catalyst of other materials to initiate combustion.
