This episode we do have just one special guest but TWO :) Dey, a mother to Adam who has Autism and Seleste, a mother to Genesis who has a dual diagnosis of Autism and Down Syndrome. Us three moms collaborate on what our diagnosis' mean, how we maneuver through the struggles and triumphs in motherhood, and share our personal experiences of being super moms to our babies, and we learn something more about one another's special child. It's so wonderful to be able to share World Down Syndrome Day with the Autistic community. Because at the end of the day, no matter what diagnosis (or no diagnosis) we are all moms just trying to do our best and we can't be our best without this kind of support, right? (This episode is dedicated to Everett Molino (15) who passed 3/15/23. Everett has Autism & we want to sincerely send our condolences to his family during this tragic time.

Dodge is inspired by artists such as Ed Sheeran and John Mayer. Dodge writes acoustic pop and folk music. Her lyrics come from her emotions and life experiences with friends to boys. This week on the podcast I am joined by by Linzi who is mummy to Matilda, or ‘Mighty Matilda' as she is known by on Instagram! Matilda is almost 2 years old and she has Down Syndrome. Both Linzi and Matilda do so much to raise awareness of Down Syndrome both online and offline. For those of you who don't know, Down Syndrome is a condition in which a child is born with an extra copy of their 21st chromosome. Linzi was one of the first mamas to share her breastfeeding story on boobingit.com which I am so grateful for. I know her story resonated with so many and since it will soon be World Down Syndrom Day on Sunday 21 March I wanted to invite Linzi on to talk more about her and Matilda's amazing story. Pregnancy, giving birth and learning to breastfeed a baby with Down Syndrome Mama of three Linzi opens up about how she and her partner felt when they first were given a Down Syndrome diagnosis during her pregnancy. She describes how they found the strength to cope and stay positive. Linzi also tells us about giving birth to Matilda and the shock heart condition diagnosis which came eight days later. We also hear of Linzi's experience of breastfeeding for the first time, including her dedication to pumping milk in the early days and her fear her baby would never be able to latch on to the breast. World Down Syndrome Day Linzi and Matilda, along with the rest of the Down Syndrome community across the world, will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on Sunday 21 March 2021. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. It's a day dedicated to advocating for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down syndrome. Part of the campaign is #LotsofSocks whereby you wear brightly coloured or mismatched socks and post your pictures online.

This Sunday is World Down Syndrome Day, and Boyd shares some of the wonders and inspirations we learn by having people with Down Syndrome in our lives. As a society, we stand taller and we stand stronger when we stand with those who cannot stand for themselves. Our Down syndrome friends are fellow travelers with us along the road of life. While they may struggle with some of the daily tasks the rest of us take for granted – they possess skills and abilities we all would be wise to emulate. They may struggle with speech – but their capacity to love is endless and doesn’t require them to utter a word; they may have difficulty making decisions, but they never judge and have an amazing ability to accept everyone for who they are; they may strain to work or learn, yet they seem to be forever teaching us where about where simple joy is to be found and what it means to discover and cherish true happiness. ‘Inside Sources with Boyd Matheson,’ Opinion Editor at Deseret News, takes you inside the latest political news and current events, providing higher ground for today's discussions. Listen live Monday through Thursday from 11 am to noon at 1160 AM and 102.7 FM, online at KSLNewsradio.com, or on the app. Listen on-demand as a podcast on your favorite platform or web browser. CWC Interview with Stephanie Ryann

Crazy Women Country

Hello Friends! Join Donna and Paula as they chat with Stephanie Ryann! Be sure to check out the interview on YouTube Stephanie Ryann is a singer and songwriter whose music bridges the gap between country, folk and pop. Often compared to the likes of Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris, her “storytelling” writing style and unique sound sets her apart from other country artists on the scene. Ryann's upcoming single, “I Should”, releases on October 9th 2020 and features the most personal and honest lyrics Ryann has written and recorded to date. The lyrics showcase society's version of “success”, that of which Ryann has no intention of following. While COVID-19 shut down most of the music industry, Ryann took the opportunity to hone her songwriting skills and teach herself guitar, which lead to the creation of her COVID-inspired single, “Nights Like These” (co-written by Ryann and Scott Kurt and produced by Brent Rader in Nashville, TN). “Nights Like These” is currently Ryann's most streamed song to date on Spotify. Ryann's music has been featured on numerous music blogs, publications and radio stations, including interviews and performances on iHeart Radio 94.7 WDSD with Benny for “Nashville's Next” and on New York's Country 94.7 with Jesse Addy. According to Patrick L. at Southern Fellow, “Stephanie Ryann doesn't just flirt with country music. She goes straight for the soul of it.” The 33 year old from Westchester County (NY) is no stranger to the music industry, spending most of her late teens and early 20's auditioning for tv shows such as American Idol, Nashville Star, and The Voice to assist in jumpstarting her career. Ryann got her start in country music in 2016 with the help of her co-writer Kevin Totoian and producer Randy Funke, both of whom made it possible to release her debut, self-titled EP in October 2018. Since then, Stephanie Ryann has released a “Summer Series” of songs, including “Home”, “Travelers” (co-written and produced by Eliot Lewis) and “Summer Fling” in 2019, followed by her debut single of 2020, "For a Reason”(co-written and produced by Stephen Bartlett). Ryann has opened for Jackson Dean, The Felice Brothers, Cole Swindell, Midnight North, Jamie McLean and Carolyn Miller. Ryann has also performed as a back up singer for solo artist, Eliot Lewis, of the legendary pop duo Hall & Oates. Due to the pandemic, Ryann has been regularly gigging her own shows via Instagram Live titled #PAJAMASESSIONS on Sundays at 11AM EST, as well as hosting live-streaming events for various media outlets including radio stations, music blogs and music venues since the beginning of April 2020. For Stephanie Ryann, “I Should” is just the beginning. Mike Lenz Voice - A Journey Into Voice Acting

I’m a voice actor–which basically means that I love to talk–whether it be narration for commercials, documentaries, instructional films, industrial videos, trailers; or imaging voiceovers for promos and radio stations around the country; or IVR (phone prompts and messaging services) for phone directories; or any other kind of VO! I’ve voiced campaigns for Acura, Honda, Primerica, Akamai, Schlage Locks, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Roche Molecular Diagnostics, YAMAHA drums, Vic Firth drumsticks, Atlanta Institute of Music, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Georgia Lottery, Southeastern Conference, Sportstime Ohio, and many more! In radio, I’ve been the imaging voice for 94.7 WDSD, WWTX 1290 AM, The Ken Coleman Show on WDUN 550 AM, and Lonestar 92.9 KDCD FM.
