STORY 3: Buford Lineman Marcus Major to Play for Air Force Marcus Major, a rising senior from Buford and previously Central Gwinnett, recently committed to the United States Air Force Academy football program. As an offensive lineman, Major stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 305 pounds. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We'll be right back   Break 2: TOM WAGES   STORY 4: New warrant reveals dolly, gardening tools seized from home where Gwinnett teen vanished A new warrant reveals several items were seized from the home of missing 16-year-old Asata Amun in Gwinnett County. Asata was last seen on a doorbell camera in February. Her father, Kwabena Amun, has been uncooperative and is accused of abusing his children. Detectives seized a dolly, gardening tools, shoes, and his SUV, suspecting child cruelty. Asata's mother, Jasmine Dominique, finds the warrant's contents disturbing and believes Kwabena is hiding something. Kwabena denies abuse claims. Police are still searching for Asata, but Kwabena has not been named a suspect or person of interest. STORY 5: The color of their swimsuit could save your child's life Before hitting the beach or pool, it's crucial to prioritize water safety, especially for children. One widely discussed tip is the "swimsuit color rule," emphasizing the importance of brightly colored swimsuits, particularly neon shades. These colors make individuals much easier to spot underwater, potentially preventing drownings which tragically remain the leading cause of death for children under 4, as per the CDC. Water can distort perception, making it crucial to avoid mistaking people for other objects. Organizations like ALIVE Solutions underscore the need for highly visible swimwear to ensure swift identification in emergencies. Alongside this rule, other precautions, including close supervision and basic water safety education, are essential for a safer day by the water. We'll be back in a moment   Break 3: INGLES 2   STORY 6:   What's filming in Georgia July 2024? Recently, several major productions wrapped up filming, including "Fight Night" with Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson for Peacock, J.J. Abrams' "Flowervale Street" featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, and a reboot of "Naked Gun" starring Liam Neeson. Also completed were Kevin Bacon's Amazon series "The Bondsman," David Corenswet's "Superman" movie, season four of Netflix's "Sweet Magnolias," and the final season of "Cobra Kai." Currently, few notable projects have begun production since late May, including reality shows, independent films, and unannounced series like "She the People" on Netflix and "G.R.I.T.S." for ALLBLK. The Georgia film office lists active productions, often under pseudonyms like "Cedar Lodge" for "Stranger Things" and "Oops All Berries" for the Disney film "Thunderbolts." STORY 7: LAKO: Smart financial moves: Managing children's earnings and inheritance When children earn money, whether through chores, jobs, or other means like acting or modeling, parents often manage it until the child reaches adulthood, typically 18 or 21. Banks may allow minors to have accounts with adult cosigners, but custodial accounts are necessary for owning stocks or mutual funds. A custodial Roth IRA is a smart investment option for children with earned income, capped at $7,000 annually or 100% of earnings, whichever is less. Parents often start with savings accounts, potentially growing into substantial investments like CDs or mutual funds by the child's teenage years. Transferring funds to a 529 Plan for education or a Roth IRA for retirement can optimize long-term financial growth, ensuring tax benefits and strategic asset management. Seeking advice from a financial advisor can help parents navigate these decisions and secure their child's financial future responsibly.   We'll have final thoughts after this.   Break 4: INGLES 3 Signoff – Thanks again for hanging out with us on today's Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. She has applied her talents to music videos such as Zombie, On me, Spiritual Warfare, S.T.A.B., Keep That Same Energy, BaeDreams, Bright Lights and many more to come. After realizing that time waits for no one and sometimes if you want the job done you have to do it yourself Billboard started a multimedia company to independently produce all the content necessary to continue on the path to being a successful artist. Directing and starring in her first ever 5 minute short film “Twitter Love” shot at her high school, Billboard cast every person from the extras to the main love interest & that's the moment she noticed a unique skill she stumbled upon. She also loves team work and naturally was able to put together a collective of crew members to help produce the film. Utilizing a crane and the hands of a few very talented visionaries, the first product was complete and ready to go. Billboardbaby's expertise in marketing and promotion online allowed the piece to reach over 14,000 views in less than moments of its release, with over 34,000 followers on Instagram now and counting daily Billboardbaby is ready to win and she will! The Emerging Rap Star grew up in Harlem, New York with a divine love for music, and acting. Creating music since the age of 8 years old and performing through out the tristate area with her childhood group “The Harlem Sunshine Girls” has been the foundation for expected longevity in the entertainment business. Billboardbaby was signed at the age of 15 to Def Jam‘s very own LL Cool J & featured on his Exit 13 album that released later that year. Now as an independent unsigned Phenomenon, the leverage she created is allowing her the trusted creative control in an contractual agreement over her future projects. Losing her sister to gun violence and her mother recently gave Billboardbaby added ammunition to succeed and spiritual backing to be a blessing... "The world is mine” after killing Shade 45 Radio Hot97 & Power 105 it is now time to do the same in other states and over seas. Constantly connecting with fans and genuine supporters on social media Clubhouse, Twitter, Instragram, YouTube, Tiktok etc has created a organic core following with out management ever or a major label deal has given me the experience of a lifetime & a blueprint to die for. Everyone knows that there will be highs and lows in life; however, the mindset of ‘progress is a process' will help you navigate your pivots. My conversation with Free the Vision helps frame highs, lows, momentum and keeping the focus on progress. More about Free: Free Warren, creatively known as Free The Vision, is a creative director and tv producer that lives at the intersection of music, storytelling, and live experiences. He is a world traveler driven by curiosity and the inner workings of culture. Free is originally from New Jersey, and raised in Atlanta, GA where he got his start as the innovator behind music videos for notable artists like Tyrese and Birdman, which landed him in the world of production. He has directed commercial campaigns for the Mark Zuckerberg Foundation in addition to spirit brands such as Tito's and Jack Daniels. Free has produced for networks that include BET, WeTv, AMC and ALLBLK. However his artistic journey has always been quite unique. Free started his creative consulting and production company, Free 3 Creative as a means to serve as a vision architect for strategy and development. One of the many things that has set him apart is his talent reflecting that of a marketing chameleon building 360 experiences into his work. This distinct skill has afforded him the ability to move beyond just the art of visual storytelling and into a world of developing the roll out executions for artist releases as well as consulting record labels (UMG's Cinematic, Slip-N-Slide). As an intentional builder of relationships and community, Free began to bridge his love for artistry and experience by producing live music events and partnering with global brands like Soho House. Taking his wealth of industry connections, he began to construct platforms for artists to perform and touch their audiences in intimately impactful spaces. Free's signature events, “Turn Up the Volume” and “On the Mic,” have given artists like Coco Jones, Eric Bellinger, India Shawn and Grammy winning and multi-platinum producers Bryan Michael Cox and Kosine the opportunity to perform to sold out crowds. Free The Vision is a multifaceted talent that exercises all of his creative prowess. He is the author of three published book titles, Fragment Reality, Hypocrites Know Best and Sh!t I Learned in Route to 30, and was named “Top Influencer to Work With” by Huffington Post. He relentlessly strives to unify the worlds of storytelling and experience. As a tv producer of shows like Social Society, he materializes his passion for amplifying Black culture and bringing their narratives to the forefront. There is no space or team that Free The Vision encounters that he does not leave positively impacted. He is a vision architect that insistently sets his mission on bringing the world creativity that inspires and shows the multiplicity of those who look like him. Free The Vision is beyond a moniker, it is a calling.

Despite going to college with the goal of pursuing a career in civil service, Keith joined an African-American acting troupe, quickly discovered his passion for performing and hasn't looked back since. In recent years, Keith has built an impressive roster of high-profile credits, including “Lovecraft Country,” “Underground,” Cobra Kai,” "Black Lightning,” “Jungle Cruise,” “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” “The Haunting of Hill House,” and “Chicago PD.” Next up, Keith stars in the ALLBLK original series “Terror Lake Drive,” coming to the AMC streaming platform in June. The show follows a suburb of Atlanta that is rocked by a string of disappearing women set against the backdrop of the Covid pandemic. Keith plays ‘Detective Reynolds,' a hardnosed detective searching for the truth which eventually leads him to uncover a world of sex trafficking.A resident of Atlanta since 2013, Keith is an associate professor of Theater and Performances at Spelman College. He teaches acting classes and facilitates a fellowship program between the University and the infamous Alliance Theater. In his work at the college, he also directs one show a year and in 2021, at the Tony Award Winning Alliance Theatre, he directed a play that dealt with Black Lives Matter and the harrassment/killings of unarmed black by police officers. Keith is also on several advisory boards at the Alliance Theatre, a role in which he works closely with his wife, who is also the associate artistic director. In his illustrious career, his favorite roles are those in which he gets to work with the same people again. Having starred in “Underground,” with creator Misha Green, she later brought Keith back for “Lovecraft Country.” He has also loved his many experiences in “Cobra Kai” and “Black Lightning,” both roles he returned to for multiple seasons. When not acting, Keith makes sure to carve out time for self care and believes in the importance of therapy. He loves taking the time to drive with the windows down and the music playing. Keith lives in Atlanta with his fellow actress/director and wife Tinashe and children.Follow the show on social media!                 Instagram: https://instagram.com/thanksforcominginpodcast/                 Twitter: https://twitter.com/tfci_podcast                  Facebook: http://facebook.com/thanksforcominginpodcast/                   Theme Music by Andrew SkrabutenasProducers: Jillian Clare & Susan BernhardtFor more information, go to thanksforcominginpodcast.com
