Ravi Prasad is a former ad man turned social entrepreneur. A strategist, who in a career spanning over 20 years, worked for agencies including, EURO RSCG, Leo Burnett, John Singleton Advertising, Ogilvy & Mather, Sapient Nitro and Clemenger BBDO. Over the years his work has won, or been a finalist, in awards, from W3 in New York to the IIB Awards in London, and from ADMA to AIMIA in Australia.  In 2013 Ravi shifted the focus of his life and work to pursue his interest in social justice and civil society, and founded Parliament on King. Parliament on King addresses the barriers to social, cultural and economic participation faced by asylum seekers and refugees.  It's also a social enterprise catering business, that offers training, work experience and paid employment to asylum seekers and refugees – all funded by the proceeds of its commercial catering operations. The project has been recognized with awards including a Refuge Council Humanitarian Award and the Good Food Guides ‘Food for Good Award'. Ravi is also the recipient of a UTS Human Rights Awards and the 2022 NSW Human Rights Medal. Ravi shares such valuable insights in this interview. David's son Cameron better known as Cam has led international creative shops including Droga5 New York and Sydney, Publicis London, AMV BBDO, Grey, BMF; for the last four years he's filled the Chief Creative Officer's chair at M&C Saatchi Australia. Cam has been awarded hundreds of times at international awards including a coveted D&AD Black Pencil for The New York Department of Education, D&AD Yellow Pencils and Cannes Lions for CUB and Cadbury, two Grand Clios and two Gold Clios for the A-League. And in 2020 another D&AD Pencil for hijacking the Queen's Christmas Address with ‘Matesong' for Tourism Australia. Cam is currently the Chairman (or is it President?) of The Australian Writers and Art Directors organisation (AWARD).Cam's dad David is a very successful Creative leader too having done it all years earlier in offices with doors. David or Blackers as he is affectionately known oversaw Clemenger Melbourne and took them to the very top of Creative and New Business ladders year after year. Blackers turned Clemenger Melbourne into one of the first true hot shops in Australian advertising winning at Cannes Lions more than 10 years in a row from the late 80's to early 2000's. This was at a time when Cannes had a lot less categories and gave away only a fraction of the metal. Returning from a stint in BBDO's London office, Blackers founded The Australian Writers and Art Directors organisation (AWARD) and in 2014 was inducted into its Hall of Fame. After 34 years at Clemenger BBDO, Blackers retired as its Chairman and went on to take up the position of Chairman at Brainwave Australia and a lot more painting.

AJ’s background is in advertising, having worked for giants such as Ogilvy, McCann and Clemenger BBDO in the UK and Australia. Clemenger BBDO Group executive chairman Robert Morgan has a long-held view that "you take your medicine early” in a downturn, flagging more consolidation within the group as the big creative agency brands become central hubs for creative, e-commerce, data and precision marketing. But he “absolutely won’t” be replicating WPP’s centralised production model in Australia and New Zealand for lower-cost, high velocity work. “We won’t be doing it that way,” he says. Morgan also believes there’s "no question" a shift of at least 20% of people working more flexibly out of Clemenger offices is a given.

Those funds are pooled and distributed to projects globally that have a significant impact on animal conservation, habitat loss, and the climate crisis. The Lion’s Share contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, the UN’s universal call to action to end poverty and protect the planet.
