I absolutely love Hally! I am so excited to introduce her to you. Hally Brooke is the Founder and CEO of Live Nourished. Remove (remove inflammatory foods that may be bothering you, such as gluten, dairy, GMO soy, processed foods, and refined sugar) 2. Repair (our gut is only one cell thick and she talks about getting that barrier healed to decrease inflammation in the body) 3. Rebalance/Reinoculate (prebiotics and probiotics are our friend here! and we even get into the most common cause of heartburn and it's not high acid in the stomach!) 4. Reintroduce (after 30-120 days of healing the gut, it's time to start reintroducing the foods now that the gut is healed) Hally also knows about the stress-gut connection and how important the gut is for brain health! Hormone Balance: She talks about her 3-step method for us women to get our hormones back into balance. 1. Remove (remove endocrine disruptors, like phthalates in perfumes and candles and skincare products) 2. Reduce cortisol response (high stress levels cause our hormone production to slow down because it's diverted to our stress hormone: cortisol) 3. Correct nutritional imbalances (so many of us are nutritionally insufficient even when we eat super well!!!) Which is better – a burger, or a salad? The answer depends on your gut! Join me today for this conversation with Hally Brooke, owner and founder of Live Nourished Coaching, who I spoke with about all things functional medicine, gut issues, and chronic fatigue. She shares her story of being diagnosed with a gluten and dairy allergy 20 years ago, then later being told that she has IBS and SIBO. After receiving very little guidance from doctors on how to heal her gut, she set out on her own journey to discover what works.
