Hennes make Karl X Gustav dog redan i februari 1660. It's a sci-fi, space, military game set in a corporate-controlled future. I am a Celtic musician and podcaster. This show is dedicated to the indie Celtic musicians. Please support these artists. Share the show with your friends. And find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon. ATTN Celtic Musicians. I'm looking for some good stories to share. You see, I also host the Pub Songs Podcast. I started sharing stories from musicians about their songs. I'd like to do more of those. So if you have a story that you'd like to share about a song, from a gig, or maybe even just a piece of Celtic history that you love. Drop me an email at marc@marcgunn.com. Put “Pub Story” in the show subject. Tell me about your story. Maybe I'll ask you to record your story for the show. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST! It is because of you that I release this show almost every week. But I want to let you know about a big change this coming to the Song Hengers on Patreon. I started Song Henge in 2006. It was a way to support the podcast when amazing services like Patreon were not available. I sent Song Hengers an album per month of free MP3s from some of the artists on the show. I released 168 of those albums over the past 15 years thanks to the generosity of the musicians on this show. When I started the Patreon page, I continued that feature for everyone who pledged $5 or more per episode. There are over 60 albums currently available for Patrons. However, the world seems to be moving away from MP3s. So I decided to discontinue that service at the end of this year. It's time for a change. I still want something special for Song Hengers. That has finally come. Starting in August, Song Hengers will get a talk-free episode, much like the Sleepytime episode that was released in May. I'll introduce the show, you can listen to the music straight through for about an hour, then I'll remind listeners to look up the artists. Each episode will also include complete shownotes and chapters so you can easily skip around to the artists you enjoy, just like regular episodes. Because I DO want you to keep visiting these artists. But it'll be much more music focused. You can become a generous Patron of the Podcast on Patreon at SongHenge.com. I only bumped into the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast a couple of weeks ago. I'm retired and listen to music quite a lot. I started out listening to folk & bluegrass music. Sometime in the 90s I sort of switched to classical music and opera. The Covid restrictions have pushed me into taking long walks every day. I live in Tucson AZ, so these days I have to start walking at sunrise (5:30) these days. I usually walk for about 2 hours. Yesterday I listened to your Celtic Women #503 on the first half of the walk. The second half to Aria Code (opera). On the drive home I listened to Symphony Hall on SeriusXM. I enjoyed all three. I really don't like "recurring donations" If you are a tax deductible organization with a Tax identification number, I can make a donation from my charitable account. I'm listening to the #509 while trying to organize the rest of my year activities, in a cold night here in Tandil, Argentina. I always loved celtic sounds. I told my graphic designer, Miranda Nelson, that the St Patrick’s Day show would be the 500th episode of the podcast. She thought about it and came back and asked, “would you mind if I collected some audio feedback from some of the artists on the show.” I said,” sure! That sounds great!” I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect much of a response. But I remembered that she suggested this when I started compiling this 500th episode. She forwarded me some feedback via email. I looked through them and didn’t see any audio. “Oh well,” I thought. “Less than I expected, but that’s fine.” Then I noticed one band mentioned something about including audio in their email. But I never got that. So I emailed and asked Miranda where that audio was. Her response, “it’s in the folder you set up on Google Drive.” Oh yeah! I did do that, didn’t I? I opened up the folder and was floored to find over 60 recordings by Celtic bands wishing me a happy 500th episode. Wow! Ye know a couple pieces are easy to pop into an episode. But I didn’t think about how to include ALL OF THESE pieces? So what should I do for this show? Instead of me introducing bands and songs, I’m gonna let the artists do it themselves. I will play their congratulations as a way of introducing their music. Course that means if you want to find out the name of the song or tune, you will need to visit the shownotes at CelticMusicPodcast.com or just check your podcatcher. Because each track has a time stamp so you can easily look it up. That said, I’ll have a few moments to break up the music and say hi. But for the most part this is just music and congratulations. I want to thank Miranda Nelson Designs for all of her hard work in making this happen. Miranda has a whole bunch of Celtic shirt designs you should check out at mirandanelsondesigns.com. And I want to thank everyone who has supported this podcast over the past 16 years. And without further adieu, let’s meet the bands. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST! Always good company...#,-)" James Martin emailed: "Hey Marc, not sure if you’re helping to share musicians streaming or not, but there’s a guy up in Seattle who streams music for 2 hours on Saturday evenings (7:30 to 9:30 pst) if anyone is looking for an Irish Music Fix on the weekends. He’s on Facebook under “That Irish Guy”. I can across him randomly and thought I’d share!" Daniel Flowerdew emailed a question: "Hello ?? first I wanted to say I have been listening to your podcast since the early 2000’s. I have always enjoyed it and have found a ton of great music through it! One of which I am trying to find! I wanted to contact you to see if you could help. It was maaaaaaany years ago. I believe it was something like “Wandering Mary” ? It was about a woman that waited by the shore for her William, eventually joined a ship crew, found him cheating on her so she shot him and then became a pirate. Maybe “Dreaded Mary” ? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for all of the great tunes and humor throughout the years." I don't really have time to help people find songs. But I threw out a few suggestions and eventually figured out he was looking for "Devilish Mary" by The Whiskey Bards. That was in episode #40 from 2007. If there is a song you're looking for, you should definitely check out the Irish & Celtic Music Club on Facebook. It's a great resource for finding more Celtic music. And there are a lot of listeners who are a part of the group.

Rattyboy says on Amazon said: "5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL Traditional Celtic Music. This CD is a beautiful compilation of Celtic music! Absolutely a wonderful album done very professionally. The autoharp combined with Marc's voice on the album and his accompaniment (voices, instruments, etc.) is divine to listen to. My suggestion is to buy the CD so you don't lose these gems. A very, VERY well done CD that I have actually listened to several times already. Simply wonderful." Copenhaver Reviewed on Amazon: "...this is a Greatest Hits collection. Marc is a dynamic performer and this is a good compilation of Irish songs like "Rocky Road to Dublin," "Old Dun Cow," and more. You should certainly try to see him live." John White reviewed on Amazon on May 28, 2013: "Another great album from the Celtfather. Many classics, reinterpreted in a way that only Marc Gunn can perform them. If you've liked his previous stuff, you'll love this one as well (I do). If you don't like this stuff...well, go drink 3-4 pints of Guinness, then come back and listen again; you'll love him for sure, then!" River Godbee said on February 12, 2013: "I think this should have been called "Marc Gunn's Greatest Hits"." Brazell on June 8, 2013: "Another great album from Marc Gunn. The Celtfather presents a wonderful collection of music that will speak to the Celt in all of us." In response to my “Will It Resonate?” I got these responses: Allan Marcotte wrote: "Marc, Yes I bought "Not Everyday is St Patrick's Day" and I love it. It has one of my favorite songs on it "Kilkelly Ireland". I think it has a great mix of songs on it, including some good rebel songs. I hope you and your family are well. Keep up the good work and great music!" Renae Jackson emailed: "I was listening to one of your CDs today. On the way to my father's memorial. Thank you for the music you make. I'm not Irish or even close, but I love the Celtic culture. The emotion and feeling of Irish music is so special. Again, thank you for the music you make, it has meant a lot to me today." Deedra Winey sent a photo and emailed: "Hi Marc! I'm ok,aside from a headache. Luckily I can sit in the quiet ,dark for a few days. I rearranged some stuff and am now a Gunn Runner! I'm excited! Iširus duetui „Lilas ir Innomine“ reperis Konstantinas Lilas Vilniaus senamiestyje atidarė naują lietuviškų įrašų parduotuvėlę ir kavinę, vardu „Archyvai“. Šį rudenį ten prasidėjo ir būsimų, dar neišleistų albumų perklausos. Viena tokių perklausų – pirmasis „FC Baseball“ darbas „Luna“. Už šio paslaptingo sceninio vardo slepiasi Tautvydas Gaudiešius, anksčiau žinotas kaip „Junior A“.

We're kicking off Season Three of Meet the Composer with a look beyond the composer to the performer, that unusual intermediary between the artist and the audience. How do performers from different cultures, who speak different languages, come together to perform the same piece? What happens when an ensemble completely messes up... and the audience loves it? How does a piece change when it’s played nonstop for twelve hours? We explore these questions and more, taking a seat on stage as we find out what it’s like to experience music from the inside-out. Hear a piece of music you loved? Discover it here! 0:59—David Lang: Just | Listen | Buy 4:51—Kayhan Kalhor: Silent City | Listen 6:04—Kayhan Kalhor: Silent City | Listen 9:30—Robert Schumann: String Quartet No. 3 in A minor | Listen | Buy 11:13—Evan Ziporyn: Sulvasutra | Listen | Buy14:39—Kayhan Kalhor: Silent City | Listen 15:09—The xx: Lips | Listen | Buy17:08—Georg Friedrich Haas: Limited Approximations | Listen 18:13—Georg Friedrich Haas: String Quartet No. 3 | Listen 19:44—Georg Friedrich Haas: Morgen und Abend | Listen 20:59—W.A. Speaker or Performer: Pr. Mark D. Lovett Scripture Passage(s): Ephesians 5:1-9 Date of Delivery: March 6, 2013 In the name of the Father and of the +Son and of the Holy Spirit.Be imitators of God as His beloved children. You have often heard me say that Christianity is not about moral living. That is, one does not live the Christian life based on how well one behaves. One lives the Christian life based on whether one clings to Christ alone for life and salvation, expecting all good things from His Father in heaven. But when one clings to Christ alone for life and salvation, expecting all good things from His Father in heaven, then one does begin to live the life of God among men. We don’t put a lot of stock in a person’s righteousness. And we shouldn’t. Men are not righteous. Man will lie and cheat and steal and commit all manner of evil acts. Even you. Regardless if you’ve been found out by other men, you know the evil that is in your heart. So you know the evil that is in my heart and the hearts of all men. So we don’t put stock in our righteousness; whether we’ve been good or bad, naughty or nice. But when you begin to cling to Christ alone for life and salvation, when He is your righteousness, then His righteous becomes yours and you find yourself obeying the righteousness of God, and you will be imitators of God.And the best way to imitate someone, is to watch and see what they do. So children learn how to live by watching dad and mom. They watch and imitate. So you learn how to live by watching your heavenly Father. You watch and imitate. And what do you see your heavenly Father doing? He is loving you and everyone around you. He is loving those who hate you. He is loving those who persecute you. He is loving those who defile and malign you. He is forgiving the sins of sinners. He is feeding the hungry and giving shelter to the homeless. He is caring for the widows and He is watching over the orphans. Your heavenly Father is the God of all people, even if they deny Him and reject Him. Still He loves them.Still He sent His only-begotten Son to die for them as for you. Father, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.+ In Nomine iesu +
