In this episode Cameron and Nathan reflect on the recent passing of Pope Francis—not from a Catholic perspective, but as Christians engaging in serious theological reflection on a major cultural moment. What does this shift mean for global Christianity? How should Protestants interpret the legacy of Pope Francis and the ideological battle lines within the Catholic Church? We compare responses from First Things (conservative) and Commonweal (progressive), and wrestle with key questions: Is reform or stability the greater need in our age? How do different views of human nature affect theology and culture? And what can we learn about leadership, doctrine, and discipleship from this moment in church history? This conversation is for believers who care deeply about theology, culture, and the future of the global church. Join us as we think theologically about the news and how Christians should engage the world with gospel clarity.

Maharishikaa addresses Steve Lockhart's doubts about whether a person can truly be present and live life in This Moment, all the time, when decisions about the future have to be made. Maharishikaa points out that the only way to really live, is to be present in This Moment! She draws a clear distinction between being present while making plans for future action, versus getting caught up in hopes and doubts of what may or may not happen in the future. Describing the image of a young boy in Australia who simply sits and looks at the vast, expansive outback - Maharishikaa illustrates the power of being present. She encourages Steve to pull himself back to this present moment, each time he feels a tug into the future. Emphasising the preciousness of life and the short time one is on this planet, Maharishikaa urges Steve to not fritter it away in desires and worries projected into the future, but to live in this present moment - allowing life to unfold, and the carpet of joy to weave itself beneath him, and carry him along. #Maharishikaa #ThisMoment #HereAndNow Aaryaa Maharishikaa Preeti Maiyaa, is a revolutionary female mystic who fearlessly dares to demystify spirituality in her unrelenting call to realize Self, and act from Source. The Sun (Conscious Self) in Cancer squares Chiron (Wounded Healer) in Aries illuminating the call to be tender and nurturing toward the parts of you who feel isolated and react with a closed heart. Mars (Advocate-Warrioress) conjoins Uranus (Maverick) in Taurus with a possible volatile combination of restlessness and reactivity around issues of safety and personal territory. Before unconsciously reacting to perceived threats, pause and ground with the Earth and your body. Know you are held and loved and act accordingly. Mars enters Gemini for a 6-week journey of courageously choosing new experimental ideas and paths that open you to alternative ways of thinking. The second Full Moon in Capricorn activates the need to balance emotional vulnerability and your longing to belong with the ability to, as Chani says, "own your own inner and outer authority." All the LINKS - linktr.ee/barbarafaison You can listen to this on my podcast - 9:11 mins or click the link above for the YouTube Channel version (audio only) This is a podcast about taking in all that is happening in the moment and flowing with life. When I have my live meditation sessions I often talk about the infinity symbol and how it is a lovely reminder to flow with life. The word infinity is from the Latin word 'infinitas' and it means 'unboundedness' or 'endless'. The infinity symbol reminds me of the ebbs and flows of life. All the perceived ups and downs and the waves of emotions we may feel throughout the day. The symbol looks like a sideways number eight. I draw the infinity symbol in the air and I share what I see as a flow; going with the changes of life as they come. Feeling down and then rising up and falling back down then coming back up again, and the cycle repeats.  Life is lived in moments. In one moment I can be filled with immense joy and in another I may receive news that knocks me down to my knees. I asked my husband, TD, for an infinity necklace and I received a beautiful infinity necklace from him. The necklace reminds me to go with the flow. To allow myself to align with life and all that is happening around me. When I touch the necklace I remember to RELAX and F.L.O.W. - For me, flow means, Feeling. Loving. Open. Willing. The seasonal changes of moving from winter to spring is also a nudge to notice and for me to notice moments even more. Have you seen the beauty all around you? What have you noticed?  I recently had to stop and take in the trees in my backyard… they are called loropetalums. As we say in the south… Laura Petlums. Lol. They came with the house and come in various hues and ours are a vibrant fuchsia. Simply breathtaking.   As I was backing out of the driveway, I noticed a few magenta calla lilies that TD planted around the mailbox. I am so grateful for him sharing beauty where I can notice it around the house. I pulled over and just stopped for a moment to smile and appreciate those flowers and the others he planted. It was a moment. Right now this in this moment,  the excerpt from my  book/eBook/audiobook, Why Struggle? Life is too short to wear tight shoes being shared is,  This Moment. This Moment Stop. What are you doing right now? What you are doing right now is this moment. If you are reading or listening to this book, be in the moment. Pay attention to what is NOW. THE PRESENT MOMENT! If you find your thoughts drifting back to the past or into the future, STOP and BREATHE. Breathe in and breathe out. Conscious breathing connects you with the present moment. Feel all the emotions life has to offer – joy, pain, sorrow, happiness, peace, etc. The past is over. No matter what is happening, I guarantee that you will feel another emotion before you even realize it. The future is not certain. You only have this moment. There will never be another moment like this one. Practice: For one day, take the time to notice things around you. Be in each moment by stopping during the day to be aware of your breath. Breathe in and breathe out. Take a slow drive, look at nature, and revel in the beauty that surrounds you. Affirmation: I feel all the elements of this moment and revel in the beauty of life. End of excerpt. As I was looking out of my window typing this post, I noticed those vibrant loropetalums once again and smiled. They looked even more magical today, it felt like they knew I was talking about them. Seeing them prompts me to look for more beauty everywhere. I mean after all, spring is here! I posted on IG a quote and an image that says: What you're seeking is already who you are. You only need allow it to guide you. The key to knowing this Self, is Self-awareness. I discuss how to know the voice for LOVE vs. the voice of the EGO. Here's how you distinguish them: Distinguishing between the voice of the ego and the voice of love involves recognizing the underlying qualities and intentions of each: Tone and Quality: The ego's voice often manifests as critical, fearful, or judgmental. It tends to be louder, more insistent, or anxious. In contrast, the voice of love is compassionate, understanding, and peaceful. It's usually gentle, reassuring, and nurturing. Focus: Ego-driven thoughts are typically self-centered, focusing on winning, being right, or asserting dominance. They often involve comparison, competition, or a sense of lack. On the other hand, the voice of love emphasizes connection, unity, and empathy. It's inclusive and considers the well-being of both self and others. Time Orientation: The ego is often preoccupied with past grievances or future worries. It might dwell on past mistakes or fret about what might happen. The voice of love, however, tends to bring your attention to the present, encouraging mindfulness and appreciation of the now. Feelings Evoked: Ego can evoke feelings of anxiety, envy, anger, or inadequacy. It often leads to a sense of unrest or dissatisfaction. In contrast, the voice of love brings a sense of calm, acceptance, and contentment. It promotes feelings of gratitude and joy. Outcome: The ego seeks immediate gratification and often prompts reactive, short-term solutions. Decisions based on ego might bring quick results but not long-lasting satisfaction or harmony. Decisions influenced by the voice of love are usually more thoughtful, considerate, and lead to long-term well-being and fulfillment. Body Sensations: Tuning into your body can provide clues. Ego-driven thoughts might create tension, a feeling of heaviness, or discomfort in the body. In contrast, love-based thoughts often align with a sense of lightness, ease, or warmth in the body. Then, I go into some powerful self-questions to ask yourself when you are in the space of self-awareness: What Would I Choose if I Knew I Couldn't Fail? This question encourages you to step away from fear-based thinking, typical of the ego, and into a space of pure potential and love. It invites you to consider possibilities from a place of love, support, and infinite capability. How Would I Respond to a Loved One in This Situation? Often, the ego is self-critical while love is nurturing and understanding. By imagining how you'd advise or comfort a loved one in a similar situation, you can tap into a more compassionate, empathetic perspective. What Am I Grateful for in This Moment? Gratitude is a powerful expression of love that shifts focus away from the ego's preoccupations with lack or dissatisfaction. This question helps anchor you in the present and opens your heart to love's abundance and positivity. What Feelings Arise When I Think About Letting Go of This Belief or Action? The ego often clings to beliefs and actions out of fear, while love releases them with ease. Reflecting on the emotional impact of letting go can highlight whether you're operating from ego or love. In What Ways Am I Similar to the Person I'm in Conflict With? This question is aimed at cultivating empathy and understanding, qualities of love. Recognizing shared human experiences or emotions can diminish the ego's 'us versus them' mentality and foster a more loving, unified approach. I also talk about narcissists and gaslighting and how to know that too. As always, you can follow me here or on IG @vibologie and my website is vibologie.com to come to any experiences. The Purge is the latest single, as they told me how that song's been kicking around for a while. Maria talked about created songs and her writing process. We also talked about the creative element that the band brings to the videos. "I don't have people write for me." Maria said. She's very hands-on when it comes to everything In This Moment.  As far as Godmode is concerned...There's a cover on the album - "Army of Me" There's one collaboration on the record. "It's a little darker than we normally tend to be." Maria said about the overall vibe of the new music. It's more experimental. It's more progy, as well. "It definitely is" Chris added.  We talked horror movies as well. I could talk horror flicks all day. Surprisingly, Maria said "Certain horror I can't watch and won't watch. It will get into my head too much." She went on to elaborate about that.  As far as their stage getup is concerned, Chris told me "You're literally putting on the persona and this costume to go out and be something else for the time that you're doing it." "I love dressing up, becoming these characters and having this other side of me be invoked, for sure." Maria commented as far as her stage persona goes.  This is a really fun conversation....a huge thanks to Maria and Chris! -Meltdown- https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/

Zakir Hussain's name is practically synonymous with the tablas. His work ranges from classical Indian compositions to Hollywood film scores, to collaborations with rockstars like George Harrison and Van Morrison. His latest albums are Shakti's "This Moment,” and “As We Speak” – a collaboration with Béla Fleck and Edgar Meyer. Zakir Hussain talks to AR about what he continues to learn about his craft at the age of 72; his father Alla Rakha, who introduced tablas to the West; his mother's crucial role in his career; and what prevented him from becoming a rock drummer. The Museum wishes to thank The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation for their generous support of This Being Human.
