Attorney Scott Tips is the President and General Counsel for the world's oldest health freedom organization – the National Health Federation, and for 40 years, he has been specializing in food and drug law. In the first half, he shared updates on Codex Alimentarius – an international body where standards and guidelines are set for what we eat and drink, as well as the problems of soil depletion, and how we are being drenched in pesticides. Tips reported that just two meat processing companies now control 85% of the business and have squeezed out small and medium-sized producers. This is a trend being seen throughout the food industry, as well in the vitamin supplement business, where corporations have increasingly bought out smaller companies, he lamented.The consolidation of the supplement industry has led to a decrease in quality and potency, according to Tips, and profits have been prioritized over the original mission of the acquired companies to improve people's health. Regarding Codex Alimentarius, he suggested that their standards for food safety and agriculture are influenced by big agriculture and pharmaceutical companies, leading to harmful products being shipped globally despite regional concerns. At their meetings, he argued against the use of veterinary drugs like Zilpaterol, which increase the weight and musculature of cattle but are not healthy for the animals. Tips also revealed how Monsanto/Bayer (the makers of the herbicide Roundup) are writing & backing bills in state legislatures to stop people from suing them over harmful health effects from their products.-----------In the latter half, author and ufologist Dr. Lynne Kitei joined us on the 27th anniversary of the Phoenix Lights, which is deemed to be the most witnessed and important mass sighting in modern history. On the night of March 13, 1997, a variety of craft were seen over a 12-hour period in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and California, including a large triangular shape said to be a mile-wide or even longer by a considerable number of witnesses. In fact, according to some data, one of the craft was estimated to be eight miles wide, she marveled. The total number of witnesses is thought to include thousands of people, she said, including police officers, and celebrities like Alice Cooper, and Kurt Russell (who was piloting a private plane that night). "These massive craft or these formations of light...seemed to be attached to something [and as] people would look up...it would block out the stars," she detailed, adding that the phenomenon was totally silent.On her website, Kitei presents animations depicting the "parade of different craft and multiple orb formations attached to and separate from these craft." She also offers a survey for people to share their personal experience of the Phoenix Lights and related sightings. The survey results have so far shown that most of the Phoenix Light witnesses reported profound positive effects after the sighting-- what Kitei referred to as a kind of enlightenment or awakening. Most would agree it is a farmer's right to save, replant, share, breed, and sell seed. Many new vegetable varieties (especially lettuces) are now being patented; with use-restricted seeds, a farmer is unable to plant a new crop without purchasing new seed from an outside supplier. In this episode, Jeffrey gathers with the community of Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island to give a presentation on the existentiall threat that has been brought on by GMO 2.0.   Some of the points he covers: At this point in time we now know that 51% of Americans and 48% of the world's consumers now believe that GMO foods are unsafe.  This is critical because this is the tipping point IRT has been working towards for the last 25 years. There are 3 main threats to heatlh in the production of GMOs that we need to be concerned with: -> The creation of GMO foods causes massive collateral damage in the DNA which can lead to allergens, toxins, carcinogens, and new diseases. -> Some GMOs are created to in order to withstand sprays of Roundup which would normally kill them.  That Roundup is absorbed into the food that we eat and Roundup has been named as a probable carcinogen by the Internation Agency for Reasearch on Cancer (IARC) -> There are certain types of GMO corn that produce a toxin that will kill insects when they eat the corn.  We eat this toxin when we eat the GMO corn and this toxin has been known to poke holes in human cells which can lead to leaky gut. The outright lies, deception and rigged research that Monsanto/Bayer has committed over the past decades in order to change public policy at the FDA in favor of GMO foods. With new technologies such as CRISPR, gene editing has become easy and cheap to perform.  With these technologies readilly available a high school science student could create an organism that could wipe out species. Bayer/Monsanto will no longer sell Roundup as of 2023 to US consumers for the lawn and garden market.  We of course would like that extended to a ban completely on all customers and all around the world. But this is a good start. And it's because they fear lawsuits because of the loss of three consecutive trials, where plaintiffs with non-Hodgkin lymphoma sued successfully and won against Bayer/Monsanto. France fined Monsanto 400,000 euros. That's about $473,000 for acquiring data on journalists and activists. Oh we mean BANNED.  The Church of Stop Shopping and The Black Institute helped ban the carcinogenic pesticide RoundUp from NYC parks. On Earth Day, the NY City Council unanimously banned this poison. 1,700 parks and 30,000 acres of greenery are filling up with children and picnics and lovers and joggers and birdwatchers. Now they won’t have to risk getting cancer. (Monsanto invented Agent Orange, Bayer manufactured Zyklon B gas and ran a slave-labor factory at Auschwitz). Hopefully throughout this country and the world these corporations will be sidelined by fines, jury awards, class actions by cancer victims. Hopefully they will be controlled by governments that work for the health of people.

The guilty verdict in Minnesota comes down as Earth Day cries out. Can we live on the Earth without killing it? The rally where we celebrated the banning of Monsanto/Bayer's carcinogenic "RoundUp" from NY parks featured Bertha Lewis, the founder of ACORN and long-time advocate of no poison in the parks. Bertha shouted "Earth Justices is Racial Justice!" RoundUp, with its toxin Glyphosate, was sprayed more heavily for many years in the parks in neighborhoods of color. No More!

In this episode, we're talking about peaches...and soy...and cotton...and herbicides. Recently, a big peach farm in Missouri won a settlement against Monsanto/Bayer and BASF for $265 million dollars! And in this particular legal case, the diabolical problem that was discovered was that employees of Monsanto knew that this product had the potential to destroy other farms and crops. They distributed a bunch of “voodoo science” and hoped that regulators wouldn’t get tipped off AND hoped that they wouldn’t get caught so they could stay out of jail. The impacts are far and wide and impact not only peaches and farmers, but wildlife, old growth trees and much, much more. Listen in to find out what's up with your peaches!

Have you heard of the term Dicamba? Monsanto created genetically engineered crops that were resistant to this other herbicide, not just Roundup but also Dicamba. They were warned up and down by experts that that would get them in trouble. On February 15th, 2020, a jury awarded a peach farmer, $265 million in a lawsuit against Monsanto and their partner BSF for introducing Dicamba resistant seeds.  In this podcast Jeffrey describes how this is extremely significant and that it, combined with other evidence that we now have, could be the payback to Monsanto that we've been looking for.

Description: Today we look at the trends of GMOs over the past year. It's like the State of the Union for GMOs in 2019.  I looked over scores of emails and reports, etc., and they seem to fall into these broad categories:  First of all, there's the amazing trials; three of them starting actually the year before, where Monsanto/Bayer was convicted by three juries of causing the cancer of the plaintiffs and hiding the evidence. And this along with the International Agency for Research on Cancer's declaration that Glyphosate causes cancer, a probable human carcinogen. Many, many countries and jurisdictions are getting rid of Roundup. That's one area.  Two, there's more information. Guess what? That Glyphosate and Roundup is worse than before.  Three, there's a whole big war going on about the new GMOs, particularly gene editing, and that's very serious. We'll talk about that.  And four, there's generally good news about the conversion of shoppers as they become awake to this information.

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in the weed killer Roundup, is manufactured by Monsanto-Bayer. Depending on who you talk to, it’s either a safe, highly effective herbicide, or, it’s a dangerous substance linked to cancer cases from use by farmers and landscapers. In this interview, Sarah Fenske talks with journalist Carey Gillam, who is coming to St. Louis to talk about her investigations into the topic of agrochemical safety and corporate interests.

Monsanto/Bayer AG was ordered by a California federal court to pay $80 million to Edwin Hardeman after a jury found its weed killer, Roundup, caused his cancer. The case is just one of thousands of lawsuits filed against the company over plaintiff’s use of the glyphosate-based herbicide. In 2015, the World Health Organization classified glyphosate as probably carcinogenic to humans. The Food and Drug Administration has concluded the herbicide is not likely carcinogenic to humans. In August 2018, a jury in California state court awarded a school’s groundskeeper, Dewayne Johnson, nearly $289 million in damages. The verdict was later reduced to $78 million and is on appeal. In this conversation with Chris Hedges, environmental activist and author, Vandana Shiva, talks about Monsanto/Bayer AG and other big AG players interests in India and her fight to protect life forms, seed varieties and farmers.

If you were told, that organic farmers are giving up growing organic crops, would you be concerned? Organic standards prohibit the presence of genetically engineered organisms within a harvest, but since outcrossing between plants is unavoidable in nature, genetically engineered canola is so easily crossing with non-GE varieties being grown organically, that these crops are unable to be certified as organic. Monsanto has long been at the forefront of controversy around genetically engineered plants, and most notably, when their hired hands began trespassing onto farmers properties, taking samples, and then accusing farmers of stealing their technologies. One farmer who has now become world-renowned for his defiance of such actions, was Percy Schmeiser, whose field of non-genetically engineered canola became the unwilling host to Monsanto's patented GE variety known as Roundup Ready Canola. It was this case, that eventually set the precedent that a company can indeed own the lifeforms (the plants) that inadvertently make their way onto a farmers field. But if a company maintains ownership of the seed and hence the plant, then should that company maintain responsibility for the damages that their property causes? The Saskatchewan Organic Directorate has since 2002 been seeking compensation for the damages caused by the property owned by the American-based Monsanto and Germany's Bayer. A class action lawsuit was chosen, as the issues raised by the two plaintiffs are no different than those faced by any organic farmer operating in Canada. In May 2005, the lower court in Saskatchewan denied the group such class action status, and subsequent appeals were also denied in May 2007 and then again in December 2007 by the Supreme Court of Canada. This exhausted all legal avenues for such a case. But while the denial of acquiring such status is a blow to the farmers, it's far from being the end to their fight. (Winnipeg, MB) - Monsanto's Canadian operations are part of the larger, global Monsanto company headquartered in St. Louis, MO. The company produces canola, corn and soybean seed products, and a range of herbicides most often found under the brand name - Roundup. Sean has been with the Canadian operation since 2005 and in his current position since August 2006. He previously worked as Monsanto's country lead for the Mediterranean area comprised of Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Sean joined Monsanto in 1998 when the company acquired PBI Cambridge. Prior to joining Monsanto, Sean worked at Unilever. Arnold Taylor, President - Saskatchewan Organic Directorate (SOD) (Kenaston, SK) - Since 1991, SOD has acted as an umbrella organization for organic producers, certifiers and processors. They are the SK chapter of the Canadian Organic Growers. The organization maintains a membership of 600-700. Arnold operates Taylor Organic Farms with his son. The 3,000 acre farm has been certified organic since 1992. Arnold is the President of the Canadian Organic Growers and the Chair of the Organic Federation of Canada. He is also the chair of SOD's Organic Agriculture Protection Fund Committee. Marc Loiselle, Communications and Research Director - Saskatchewan Organic Directorate's OAPF (Vonda, SK) - Marc farms on a century old family farm. The Loiselle Organic Family Farm grows cereal, oilseed, pulse, clover and hay crops. They raise chickens, goats and cattle. Marc has worked with certified organic and biodynamic practices for 22 years. Marc is one of a few farmers in Canada growing Red Fife Wheat. Other Voices Denise Dewar, ex Executive Vice-President Plant Biotechnology - CropLife Canada (Toronto, ON) - CropLife Canada is the trade association representing the manufacturers, developers and distributors of plant science innovations — pest control products and plant biotechnology — for use in agriculture, urban and public health settings. Denise is now in the same position for CropLife International. Mischa Popoff, isitorganic.ca (Osoyoos, BC) - Mischa was an organic inspector until 2003. In an interview with The Western Producer, Popoff questioned the integrity of the organic sector, following which, he had trouble finding work in the industry. Popoff was a nominee in the 2007 federal Conservative Party candidacy for the BC Southern Interior riding.
