David Waldman and Greg Dworkin discuss the first 100 days; the next 100 we might need to take a day at a time. Virginia's Abigail Spanberger kind of leans Democrat, as so does her race for Governor in the state. The Senate almost stood up to Trump on Tariffs, almost. JD Vance finally found his special purpose. The US economy is beginning to cave in. It is weird how that seems to coincide with the Trump Tariffs. Trump explains that anything going wrong in this term will be Joe Biden's fault, and to just wait for his third or so term to make any judgement. In the meantime, you might need to cut back to two dolls or two Big Macs when you had planned on buying maybe 30. Pete Kegsbreath can't be more of an idiot, although he does put in daily effort to do so. Pete attended Trump's latest anal appreciation session and was personally singled out by Trump, which is a sure sign that… Mike Walz was to be bumped off. Oh well, plenty of morons where he came from. ICE isn't allowed to deport people, so how about the DoD? Ok, it's the DMV, then. Donald asked if Abrego Garcia could come back, but El Salvador said no, so that's that. The US has finally arranged to drink Ukraine's milkshake. Purportedly. Trump and paperwork, man. When it comes to Harlem vs. Harvard, Donald prefers the one where Blacks know their place. Trump is unconcerned with laws, because he plans to be the law. If you really enjoy grifting, go where the graft is, the Executive Branch. If you want to appeal to Democrats… I don't know, go wherever you see those hippy types. More Democrats need to go wherever Chris Murphy and Elizabeth Warren are.

So he didn't fare well on Tariff Day. Fauci's wife got fired from NIH. What took so long?! [X] SB – Hakeem Jeffries on SAVE Act  Gold hit another high, and the bottom didn't drop out of the market. In fact, when I took a glance at the market on Apr 2, all the indexes were high. Another thing Leftists want to happen is for Tesla to tank. The stock has taken a hit. And you can bet that in a few months, this will be the BEST BUY in the market. On Doomsday the stock rose. In as much as one can trust a gamble, I will tell you, Tesla's stock growth is a lock. But let's focus on tariffs for bit, because they are a great metaphor for Leftism. Cheering against America. USSS called shooter a threat 10 min before Trump, finger-pointing, Covid or cover for Biden, bury the photo, RNC and LOTR

Today's show opens with yet more revelations about the abject failures of the US Secret Service in the shooting of Donald Trump on Saturday in Butler, PA. According to Senators on a call with USSS, the shooter was listed as a threat a full 10 minutes before Donald Trump walked on stage. How was that even allowed to happen? And, to add even more confusion, a story in the NY Post suggests the shooter had a bicycle at the scene he was using to ride around the look at locations around the event. So, did he bring his bike on the back of the car that he supposedly had rigged with explosives? Then the FBI said they found a message he left on the Steam gaming platform that July 13 was going to be his day. They also said he had a second cell phone with just over two dozen contacts. He may have also used other forms of encrypted communication. The Butler Township Commissioner, Edward Natali, said on social media that the local police had no security detail for former President Donald Trump's rally. He said they only provided seven officers for traffic support. So, someone is definitely lying about the open rooftop, used by the shooter, was supposed to be staffed by a local police sniper team. Is it the locals or is it Director Kim Cheatle? To illustrate all of the issues I detailed yesterday, I stumbled on a satirical response to all of this from Joseph Mallozzi who is a showrunner, Executive Producer and writer for Dark Matter, Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate: Universe. He reacts to all we've learned thus far as if was the first draft of a techo-thriller being submitted to Netflix. Earlier in the day, Biden said in a BET interview that if he were diagnosed with some serious medical issue, he would consider dropping out of the race. Then, yesterday evening, we hear he tested positive for Covid and is taking the next four days off. Yet, his flight path was cleared for all four day well in advance of the Covid announcement. Maybe he has some other decisions to make? Joy Reid, along with Jen Psaki, made fools of themselves by suggesting that if Biden recovers from his Covid illness, he should project as much strength as Trump did by bouncing back from being shot. What imbeciles. Biden is getting angrier and more unhinged. More Democrats are pushing for him to drop. Time Magazine, at the behest of a push from Legacy/mainstream media voices, has changed it's upcoming cover. It was going to use the iconic picture taken of Trump with his fist in the air. But, media thinks that would be positive PR for Trump, so they changed it to an abandoned and littered event venue, all in black and white save for the flag. At the RNC day three, former acting ICE Director Tom Homan made an interesting comment. He warned the drug cartels that Trump is going to label them as terrorist organizations and will wipe them off the face of the Earth. David Urban on CNN said it is unforgivable that Joe Biden never met with the 13 Gold Star families from his disastrous Afghanistan retreat. To go with that, we have a soundbite from one of the parents, Christy Shamblin. Finally, we close on the most ridiculous moment of the day. MSNBC's Rachel Maddow concludes that fans of The Lord of the Rings are far-right/alt-right fascists and neo-Nazis. That's how far gone Mad Cow's brains really are. We have a patent anniversary to acknowledge today as our “this day in legal history” entry. On this day in 1869, Thomas Alva Edison was granted a patent for an electric voting machine to be used by Congress. The “Vote Recorder” was Edison's first patented invention and was specifically designed for legislative bodies like Congress. His motivation for creating this device came from reports in the Telegrapher, stating that the Washington, D.C., City Council and the New York State legislature were considering the installation of electric vote recorders. Edison's system involved each legislator moving a switch to indicate a "yes" or "no" vote, which transmitted a signal to a central recorder. The recorder had two columns of metal type labeled "Yes" and "No," where the names of the members were listed. A recording clerk would then place chemically prepared paper over the columns and roll a metallic roller over it, creating imprints of the names through chemical decomposition. The machine also had dials on its sides to record the total number of "yeas" and "nays." Edison was granted U.S. Patent 90,646 for this invention on June 1, 1869. A fellow telegrapher named Dewitt Roberts bought a share in the invention for $100 and brought it to Washington, D.C., to demonstrate to a committee of Congress. However, the chairman of the committee was unimpressed with the device's speed in recording votes and stated that it was not something they wanted. The traditional roll call voting process, although slow, allowed members to filibuster or persuade others to change their votes, leading to the vote recorder's ultimate disuse.Like so many great ideas, Edison's invention died in committee. Rutgers - Vote RecorderThe House of Representatives passed a debt-limit legislation proposed by President Joe Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The bill, approved with a 314-117 bipartisan vote, aims to impose spending restraints until the 2024 election and prevent a potential U.S. default. The agreement garnered support from two-thirds of House Republicans, boosting McCarthy's position as speaker. More Democrats voted in favor than Republicans and conservative critics argue that the deal was unfavorable. The bill now moves to the Senate, where approval is expected. The legislation suspends the debt ceiling until January 1, 2025, while Democrats agreed to cap federal spending until then. The agreement is seen as a rare moment of bipartisan accord in a divided Washington. Investors have already shifted their focus to other factors influencing growth, such as potential Federal Reserve interest rate increases and the weakening Chinese economy.Debt-Limit Deal Wins House Passage, Easing US Default ConcernsTwo members of the far-right Oath Keepers militant group are facing sentencing for seditious conspiracy and other crimes related to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of then-President Donald Trump. Prosecutors are requesting a 17-year prison sentence for each defendant. If the judge follows this recommendation, it would be among the longest sentences for anyone charged in the Capitol attack. The Oath Keepers founder, Stewart Rhodes, was recently sentenced to 18 years in prison, the longest sentence so far. The defense attorneys for the defendants argue that the evidence against their clients is weak and that the blame should be shifted to Trump for misleading his supporters.More Oath Keepers convicted of sedition in US Capitol attack face sentencing | ReutersSam Bankman-Fried, the former chief executive of FTX cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking documents from Fenwick & West, the law firm that advised his defunct exchange, as he faces fraud charges. This case is part of Operation Fox Hunt, an initiative by the Chinese government to coerce Chinese nationals living abroad to return to China through tactics such as harassment and threats. The defendants are the first to be tried in the United States in connection with this operation. McMahon, along with Yong Zhu and Congying Zhen, allegedly used the elderly father of their target as bait to warn him about the consequences of not returning to China. McMahon, hired as a private investigator, is accused of surveilling the target, while Zhen is accused of harassing the target and his daughter. The prosecution argues that each defendant played a role in the Chinese government's efforts to intimidate and threaten the victim. McMahon has pleaded not guilty, claiming he was unaware of the true intent behind the scheme. The trial is expected to last two to three weeks, and if convicted, McMahon could face up to 10 years in prison.Ex-NYPD Sgt., others accused of harassing and intimidating Chinese dissidents in US - ABC7 New YorkPet supply retailer Chewy Inc has won a challenge to a fine imposed by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) over a forklift accident that resulted in the death of a warehouse worker. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that Chewy did not violate federal workplace safety law because it had complied with a specific rule governing forklifts. OSHA had fined Chewy around $13,000 in 2019 following the accident in Florida, but the court found that the company had provided the required training and that the OSHA rule on forklifts applied, preempting the general duty to protect workers. The court's decision highlighted that the retail industry generally does not consider eliminating "under-rides" necessary and that doing so could actually increase the risk of accidents. For those that don't moonlight as forklift operators, an “under-ride” is when a forklift operator reverses towards a storage rack with the forks trailing. If the operator extends the forklift too far, causing it to pass beneath the horizontal crossbar, it creates an "under-ride" situation. In such cases, the crossbar can enter the operator's compartment and result in injury. Essentially, it is running a fork-lift backwards such that the front safety mechanisms are not the first thing to hit a shelf – you are. So now you know. Pet goods supplier Chewy wins challenge to OSHA fine over worker death | ReutersStandup Forklift Under-ride Hazards Get full access to Minimum Competence - Daily Legal News Podcast at www.minimumcomp.com/subscribe

This will put a huge divide between them and their voters as many moderate representatives come from areas Trump won in 2016.What happens when Democrats rally for impeachment but then Trump drops the Ukraine transcript and its a big ol nothing burger? It will be Russia 2.0 and leftists are already on thin ice having failed that play.Support the show (http://timcast.com/donate)

https://nv1-offload-media.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/20123055/omnibusFINAL.wav   Omnibus is a Latin word that means “for all.” In legislation it means cramming everything into a bill that you think can pass. That's what we're doing with this edition of Trahant Reports. First up: A deal in Congress has lifted the caps from the Budget Control Act, or the sequester, and it raises the debt limit until March 2017. This deal ends distractions such as new government shut downs or a defunding of Planned Parenthood until well after the election. Unfortunately the details, such as the actual budgets for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Indian Health Service, still have to be written,  between now and Dec. 11 The politics of this deal are stunning, but, unfortunately, probably only temporary. More Democrats voted for the bill than Republicans. So the Republican Leadership actually picked a bipartisan course. Any budget that passes with more Democrats than Republicans is considered awful. Even the new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said the process stinks. But the deal will make it easier for Ryan to govern his caucus because it takes away the threat of government shutdowns and general chaos. Ryan's goal will be to unite the Republicans so that what ever measures come forward next will be debated within the party. At least that's the theory. Second item: This week there is an important race in Seattle. Debora Juarez is a candidate for Seattle City Council. She's a member of the Blackfeet Tribe, grew up in the Seattle-Tacoma area, and is campaigning on neighborhood issues. That means things people care about: more sidewalks, better bus service, and affordable housing. The Seattle Times said in its endorsement editorial: “In a crowded field, Debora Juarez stands out. … She would bring intellectual rigor and ideological independence to the council.” It doesn't get any better than this. Of course great candidates make all the difference in elections. They bring experience and poise to the campaign. That's why so many eyes are watching Montana right now. The only Native American to hold a statewide office, Denise Juneau, is considering a run for the U.S. House. She's currently Montana's Superintendent of Public Instruction and a member of the Mandan and Hidatsa Tribes. She grew up in Browning on the Blackfeet Reservation. Two years ago there was a lot of interest in Juneau running for an open U.S. Senate seat. I thought it would have been an interesting race, but it would have been a long shot. The problem is the type of voters Juneau would need only vote in presidential election years and that race would have been a low-turnout election. So she opted to stick with the job she loves, running public education. Juneau is now at her term limit. Her schools' job will end. And since it's a presidential year, the House seat is awfully tempting. It's a  seat that can be won. Stay tuned.
