Investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are ready to celebrate as Myrtle Beach “Pastor” John-Paul Miller is finally going to federal court on Jan. 12 in Florence, South Carolina. He'll be arraigned on two charges related to why his estranged wife, Mica, allegedly killed herself in April 2024. Plus, Mandy and Liz begin peeling back the layers on the Charity Beallis case in Bonanza, Arkansas. Charity, who was 40, was found shot to death in December 2025 alongside the bodies of her 6-year-old twins in their house the DAY AFTER her final divorce hearing.  No suspects have been named yet and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Dr. Randall Beallis, has denied having anything to do with their deaths. The investigation includes six law enforcement agencies, including the United States Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations, but little information has been given to the public on the status of the case. In the meantime, there's plenty to discuss … especially when it comes to Randall and his dark past.

On December 22 1981 around 1 to 1:15 am, a driver was going down a dark road MINERAL SPRINGS MOUNTAIN ROAD near the town of Valdese, North Carolina. It was a dark, snowy night and there was fresh snow on the ground the night before. They saw that the car had run into an embankment, and that the driver's door was open, as they approached the car, they realized that the car was still running. Next to the car, in a ditch, was the body of a young woman, 19 year old Rhonda Hinson. She was lying on her back with her arms by her side. It cannot be disputed that unless Trump is legally restrained, she will not be the last. And later, the ICE/Border Control militia attacked a Minneapolis high school. And Trump chose the day of his crime-by-proxy, after the murder, to insist that he has quote “determined” that the military budget for 2027 needs to be increased from the obscene level of one trillion dollars… by FIFTY PERCENT to a trillion and a half. That is the military he wants to use against American civilians on American streets. That is the military he JUST used against American civilians on American streets in Minneapolis. ALSO: I DON'T MAKE THE RULES. Trump's renditioning of Nicolas Maduro from Venezuela means, simply, that any country that would like to send a squad to this country to abduct one of our leaders needs only to have first indicted Trump in their own country - and cut a deal with JD Vance to take over as presidency and swear fealty to their country. The Mickey Stines case just took a turn nobody predicted. A week ago, a hearing was supposed to move this case forward — bond arguments, venue fight, the works. Instead, Judge Christopher Cohron walked in, said there was an "issue," and shut it down. Now we know what the issue was: him.Defense attorneys Jeremy and Kerri Bartley have filed a motion to recuse Cohron after an investigator discovered video showing the judge seated next to Kevin Mullins at a Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health meeting — seven days before Mullins was shot to death in his Letcher County chambers. According to the motion, Cohron sat inches from Mullins for approximately two hours. Mullins' widow was also present. The defense claims Cohron never disclosed any of this.The timing is brutal. This is a case built entirely around Stines' mental state — whether he was legally insane, whether he was in psychosis, whether extreme emotional disturbance applies. And the judge presiding over it was filmed at a mental health meeting with the victim days before the killing, allegedly nodding along as Mullins discussed his work.Cohron has already denied the defense's motion to unseal Stines' psychiatric evaluation. He blocked them from using it at the bond hearing. The defense is now arguing that a reasonable observer could connect those rulings to what they see in that video.No hearing has been rescheduled. The Brendan Banfield murder case has all the elements of a true crime nightmare — an alleged affair, a sex fetish website, a double homicide, and an au pair who flipped on her former lover. When your own forensics expert contradicts your murder theory, what do you do? According to court testimony in the Brendan Banfield case, Fairfax County Police transferred him out of the unit.Brendan Banfield stands accused of orchestrating the February 2023 murders of his wife Christine Banfield and Joseph Ryan with the help of the family's Brazilian au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhaes. Prosecutors claim Banfield created a fake FetLife profile in his wife's name to lure Ryan to their Herndon home as part of an elaborate murder plot. The motive? An alleged affair with the au pair.But the prosecution's catfishing theory has a major problem. Officer Brendan Miller, who extracted data from 60 devices in the investigation, concluded in his executive summary that Christine Banfield appeared to be the one controlling the FetLife account — not her husband. He found no indication she lost control of her devices and noted she was communicating with multiple people on the site, not just Ryan. Defense attorney Bob Motta joins us live to break down two cases dominating headlines — the Sarah Grace Patrick trial delay in Georgia and the Reiner murders in California — and take your questions in real time.Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, is charged as an adult with murdering her mother Kristin Brock and stepfather James Brock in Carroll County, Georgia. The trial was set for January 5th, 2026. It didn't happen. Prosecutors requested more time to respond to a defense neuropsychologist's evaluation, and Judge Dustin Hightower pushed the case to August 3rd, 2026. The defense's earlier continuance motion was denied. When the state needed time, they got seven months.Bob Motta examines what this signals about the prosecution's case. No murder weapon has been produced. No forensic evidence linking Sarah to the killings has been publicly disclosed. No firearm was found at the scene. Claims about disabled cameras remain unproven allegations. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office announced they had "mountains of evidence" — but the state couldn't go to trial.Then we turn to the Reiner case. Nick Reiner is accused of killing his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, in Brentwood. This is the fifth alleged patricide in Southern California in recent weeks. Police had responded to the home multiple times over the years. Nick had cycled through seventeen rehab programs. His father reportedly told friends the night before that he was "petrified" of him. California's mental health laws made meaningful intervention nearly impossible.
