In this episode we are going to talk with Stephen Frederico, the father of Logan Feredrico. Logan Federico, 22, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, was visiting friends in Columbia, South Carolina, on May 3 when a career criminal broke into the home where she was staying with friends. Police say the killer, identified as 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, murdered her with a stolen gun  Federico, a student at South Piedmont Community College, worked two jobs and had plans to transfer to the College of Charleston to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. On January 23, 1959, ten hikers embarked on a wilderness hiking/skiing expedition into the Ural Mountains in the Eastern Soviet Union. Most of the hikers were students at Sverdlovsk's Ural Polytechnic Institute (UPI). One of the hikers began to feel ill and left the group early, but when the remaining nine hikers did not return to the Institute by February 20, searchers began looking for them. In a special episode, Greg and Ed interview Kevin Maes in Kevin's own podcast studio on Rama IV. Kevin is a long-time expat in Thailand hailing from Belgium who became entangled in a very unfortunate crime drama and subsequently wrote a book about it called ‘Kingdom of Trials,' which is now available on Amazon. Kevin begins with his Thai ‘origin story,' how he ended up in the Land of Smiles, and more importantly, how and why he fell in love with it.  Unfortunately, he eventually was sucked into a drama involving his ex-wife's boyfriend that shockingly ended in the boyfriend's death. Kevin and another friend were charged with murder, and a years-long ordeal would ensue involving the ins and outs of the Thai justice system. In July of 2023 a family man and architect named Rex Heuermann was arrested in connection with three murders tied to the Long Island Serial Killer case or L.I.S.K. for short. Those names and a few others were given to a series of unsolved homicides where the bodies and remains of several young women, a male, and a toddler were discovered in and around Long Island, New York. It is undetermined at this time if all of the murders were committed by the same killer or killers. Since the arrest of Heuermann, investigators have continued to make progress.
