What Went Down?
What Went Down in Week 10: It was a crazy week full of big individual performances, but some of the games were downright ugly. The Ravens snuck past the Bengals in a wild 35-34 shootout, where Lamar Jackson impressed again, but Ja'Marr Chase stole the show with one of the most ridiculous stat lines of the season (264 yards, 3 TDs). Even though Joe Burrow threw for over 400 yards and 4 TDs, the Bengals still couldn't get the win. Meanwhile, there were some real slugfests—like the Patriots grinding out a 19-3 win over the Bears and the Panthers edging out the Giants 20-17. The Lions managed to pull out a win over the Texans, but Jared Goff threw 5 interceptions in a messy, sloppy game.Looking Ahead to Week 11: We've got predictions for all the big matchups, from Thursday night's showdown between Washington and Philadelphia to a Sunday Night Football clash between Cincinnati and the Chargers. We break down all the key games and tell you who to watch, who to fade, and which players are primed to have a big week.Waiver Wire Targets: With the fantasy season heating up, now's the time to make sure your roster is ready for the stretch run. This week, we're highlighting a few players you should consider adding. Russell Wilson's quietly been putting up solid numbers in Pittsburgh, Bo Nix is flying under the radar in Denver, and Marquez Valdez-Scantling could be in line for a bigger role with the Saints. We also take a closer look at rookie Ricky Pearsall in San Francisco—he's been making some noise, and with a bigger role on the horizon, now might be the time to snag him.If you're looking to get a leg up on your fantasy league for Week 11, this episode has you covered with all the predictions, player breakdowns, and waiver wire gems you need to know.Check us out on social media here:https://twitter.com/IceBathPodhttps://www.instagram.com/icebathsports/https://www.tiktok.com/@icebathsports

The entire world is in a state of fear due to the alarmingly severe cybersecurity vulnerabilities that have claimed multiple innocent lives in Lebanon. Initially, Hezbollah's strongholds were rocked by synchronized pager blasts, and now several Walkie-Talkie explosions have followed suit. What makes this particularly shocking? Walkie-talkies and pagers, two devices we typically consider benign communication tools, triggered the blasts, exposing critical flaws and demonstrating how a simple supply chain attack can have devastating effects on human life. What Went Down? Here's the rundown: a series of explosions hit areas known for being Hezbollah's strongholds. According to CNN, these weren't ordinary blasts. Each pager concealed around 3-5 grams of highly explosive material, making its battery half explosive and half real. Later, a radio signal remotely set these explosives off. These synchronized explosions suggest a highly sophisticated espionage attack. Without raising any suspicions, the supply chain intercepted, modified, and distributed these Pagers. On the other hand, the IC-V82 Japanese Walkie-Talkie devices were discontinued a decade ago, but both (Pagers and Walkie-Talkie) were bought by Hezbollah five months ago. On today's episode we will be taking a look at the tremendous band Foals and their song Mountain at my Gates off their fourth studio album What Went Down. Having firmly established themselves as icons in the UK indie rock scene, there was a certain level of expectation on their shoulders in 2015 before releasing their album, but the band from Oxford delivered on all fronts and their second song is an absolute banger.

Today's episode is a What Went Down in Duty After School final thoughts one and don't ask me why it's over an hour long. But let's just say I have some things to say about this 10-episode webtoon adaptation about an alien invasion. Most of what I have to say is shrouded in tears, so I hope that's okay! And for me to have talked for over an hour about this drama, I forgot to mention how amazing the OST is! There are areas in every major city there are heavily trafficked that don't have a lot of clues to what used to be there. This is the case for Hayden Island between Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA. Home of the Jantzen Beach Mall (Jantzen Beach Center), originally Jantzen Beach Amusement Park. But that was not the only amusement park on this island at the time. After some sketchy practices, a little known gem called Lotus Isle opened for business. Very shorty afterwards, tragedy after tragedy befell the park. Not even a crowd favorite dance-a-thon or Tusko “largest elephant in the world,” could save the ill-fated “Million-Dollar Pleasure Paradise.” Which has us questioning - is Lotus Isle cursed?Episode 94: What Went Down at Northern State Hospital?Haunts, Graves, & Omens - Episode 36: "Ghost Towns & Mental Illness" - Haunted WashingtonToday we shared a promo for The CK & GK Podcast!
This week's episode is another What Went Down one where I give you my final thoughts (the good, the bad & the ugly) on The Glory & Island. I spend most of the episode on The Glory since I've talked about Island in a Midpoint Thoughts episode (go check that one out if you haven't already), so don't worry if you don't care about Island and you're only here for the The Glory. Now, brace yourself for a ramble about hope and Dong Eun as a godlike figure, also for my squealing over performances and I hate to admit, but there may be some mild yelling at the end about a waste of characters and the problem of 12 episode dramas! If you're okay with any of that, listen now! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/lolapopsoffaboutkdramas/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/lolapopsoffaboutkdramas/support

Science Was Big On The Ballot This Week. Here's What Went Down Another chaotic election week has come and gone. Across the U.S., science was on the ballot, and people cast their votes on issues like healthcare, climate change infrastructure, conservation, and abortion policy. Nsikan Akpan, health and science editor at WNYC in New York City, joins Ira to talk about how the science ballot initiatives panned out this week. They discuss the outcomes of the abortion initiatives, California's move to ban flavored tobacco, and what this election could mean for the future of the U.S.' climate goals. Plus, they discuss the mess that is COP 27 climate conference, why this hurricane season is so strange, how an in utero procedure successfully treated a rare genetic disorder, and new footage of octopuses hurling objects at each other. As Anthony Fauci Steps Down, A Look Back At His Storied Career In recent years, Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, has become a prominent public figure and one of the public faces of the U.S. government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Science Friday has been talking to Dr. Fauci for decades, beginning in 1994, about topics ranging from HIV/AIDS to Ebola, interviewing him about everything from the Zika virus to advances in allergy research. Fauci has been in his current role at NIAID for 38 years, and has served as an advisor to seven presidents. He is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He spoke with Ira about his career in medical research, the things he's most proud of achieving in his time with the NIH, and the challenges the nation still faces in dealing with the pandemic, and other disease outbreaks yet to come. New Documentary Is Endearing Tribute To NASA's Rover Program In 2003, the world became captivated by two rovers launched by NASA on a mission to Mars, known as Spirit and Opportunity. The rovers were sent to the Red Planet to discover what was on the surface. The rovers were only expected to last 90 days. Instead, Opportunity led a 15-year life of discovery, including the bombshell that Mars may once have been suitable to sustain microbial life. The story of these twin rovers is the subject of a new documentary out this month: “Good Night Oppy,” evoking the nickname of the Opportunity rover. The film features footage taken over nearly two decades, from the building of the rovers to recent interviews with scientists involved in the mission. Ira speaks with “Good Night Oppy” director Ryan White, as well as featured scientist Doug Ellison, engineering camera payload uplink lead at NASA, based in Alhambra, California. Transcripts for each segment will be available the week after the show airs on sciencefriday.com.

Click that download button and have a listen to What Went Down when Ali and Dan discussed Oxford's loudest rockers, Foals! Yannis, Jimmy, Jack et al were due to perform at Benicassim this weekend, alongside Vampire Weekend and The Libertines, adding it to the long list of festivals on the circuit that they have headlined. Having recently released Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 2, how will the boys condense a career that spans six albums, three Mercury Music Prize nominations and a cabinet full of 'Best Live Act' gongs?!Yannis Phillipakis, Jack Bevan, Jimmy Smith, Edwin Congreave, former members Walter Gervers and Andew Mears, and their touring bassist Jeremy Pritchard – loaned from contemporaries Everything, Everything - were formed in Oxford, Oxfordshire, some of the band meeting at the Abingdon school - where Radiohead formed - and through the dissolution of bands The Edmund Fitzgerald and Face Meets Grill. After much hype, they released Antidotes in 2008, their fast paced, high tempo guitars spawning the off-shoot genre of math-rock. Five albums have followed – Total Life Forever in 2010, Holy Fire, What Went Down and Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost parts 1 – their third release to be nominated for the Mercury Music Prize - and, it’s follow up, part 2. Since their debut, they’ve have become synonymous with huge riffs, funky grooves and danceable techno inspired beats that suggest an eclectic range of influences. They have cemented their reputation as one of the best live acts on the circuit and much like Yannis whenever he sees a piece of scaffolding or staging, have climbed to the top billing at festivals around the world. On this week's Dropcast, Noah Thomas, Jian DeLeon, and the Ball Boyz, Kyle Hodge and Ian Servantes, are joined by HS Music Editor Sydney Gore. The crew talks about Kyle's trip to Wyoming to experience the Kanye West listening party firsthand, and dude even managed to fly back in time for our Highsnobiety Issue 16 launch party with Chief Keef. Fashion-wise, Noah explains what the big deal is about the LVMH awards, and talks about this year's winner, Japanese label Doublet. Speaking of fashion awards—we also break down what it means now that Supreme snagged the CFDA award for best menswear designer. We also talk about Kim Jones' World Cup collab with Nike, and give a brief primer on how to tell different Rimowa briefcases apart.
