This week on the #8 ranked stress podcast I share a life hack from my dear friend Rochelle. Each year she chooses a word to focus on for the whole year. The word is kind of a touchstone and an inspiration for how she wants to live through the year. Different from an intention or a goal, the word is just a gentle reminder of the ways she wants to show up in all the places she shows up. On this episode I talk through the practice, geek out on some neuroscience around the power of pointing your attention at a specific word and then invite you to choose a word and help your family members choose a word for the year. Thanks Rochelle for the inspiration for this episode! I'd love to hear what word you choose!Lindsay Miller is a kids mindfulness coach, mindfulness educator and host of The Stress Nanny Podcast. In this episode of the #8 ranked stress podcast, I share three simple ways to incorporate mindfulness into your morning. When we start our day with mindfulness it's easier to return to that space throughout the day. We've primed the neural connections for calm, for presence and connection and we can return to them instead of frantically searching for mindfulness once our stress levels have already sky-rocketed. These three simple practices will just take a few minutes but they'll have a significant impact on your day.#mindfulness #mindfulmorning #mindfulnessmoments #mindfulfamily #mindfulliving #mindfulnessmeditation #meditation #morninghabitsIf you're looking to teach mindfulness to someone else, it's really important to have your own practice going strong so that you're sending the message of mindfulness in word and action. If you could use help with your mindfulness practice, please join my Mindfulness & Meditation Class for grownups on Tuesdays at noon MDT on zoom. We practice a meditation for 10 minutes and then talk about how to use mindfulness to live more intentionally, find more joy and communicate with more clarity.
