In Daniel 10 we have an awe-inspiring vision of the One Man. It followed Daniel fasting for three weeks. The vision is described in verses 4-6. The dream was similar to the one seen by the Apostle John in Revelation 1. As a response to the dream Daniel finds himself in a weakened death-like state. The angel Gabriel physically restores the prophet and this is symbolic of the prophet's death and resurrection.Gabriel tries to come 21 days earlier but needs the assistance of Michael, the Archangel, in turning around the mind of the king of Persia. What was to occur would be in part revealed to Daniel, the man greatly beloved and these matters would be written in the Scriptures of Truth.Acts 8 saw the conversion of a descendant of Ham; chapter 9 of Shem; and chapter 10 of Japheth - part of the pattern of taking the gospel to the entire world - as outlined in chapter 1. The first four verses of Acts 10 tell us of a model proselyte in every respect apart from his ignorance of the gospel, and his need of baptism for the forgiveness of his sins. Cornelius is commanded to send for Peter. Whilst in Joppa Peter had gone to the rooftop to pray. In a hungry state he falls into a trance and is given a vision of all kinds of animals - clean and unclean i.e. ceremonially. If Peter truly had such scruples why was he lodging with a tanner i.e. a maker of leather goods who is always surrounded by dead animals that are tanned to produce leather. Three times Peter is commanded to, "rise, kill and eat"; but three times refuses. On the second occasion Peter is told, "Don't call what God has cleansed unclean". Whilst Peter is thinking about the vision he is summoned by three men seeking his company. The visitors tell Peter of the command which the angel had issued to Cornelius. These three men are lodged and leave for Caesarea the following day. Chapter 11 says that Peter expected some resistance to what could transpire from Jewish converts and so he is accompanied by six faithful Jewish brothers. Cornelius humbly receives Peter, who refused to be honoured. Cornelius reiterates his command from the angel. Peter responds in verses 34-43 by beginning with the vital point that "God is impartial and the basis of His acceptance is a reverence for the Almighty and an attempt to follow in His righteous ways". In verse 38 Peter reveals the Christ to those assembled as the Word attested to by the Father in the supporting of Christ's words with miracles. As Peter continues speaking the Holy Spirit comes on Cornelius' household just like it came on the Apostles in Acts 2. Peter asks his amazed companions if they could in all conscience forbid baptism. Since they couldn't Peter commanded Cornelius and his household to be baptised. The bestowal of the Holy Spirit and immediate baptism thereafter demonstrate that he believed the gospel acceptably to the Father. The Almighty chooses His children and often shows that by subsequent events 2 Timothy 2verses19.

2 Chronicles 30 outlines the greatest Passover ever kept in the nation's history. It had to be held in the second month as there was not enough time for the priests to prepare. Letters of invitation were sent, in the spirit of humility and imploring the recipients, throughout the land from Dan to Beersheba and to the remnants who had escaped the Assyrian onslaught. Sadly, for the main part, the messengers were mocked. Nonetheless many came in response to keep the Feast in the second month - a great assembly. The Levites helped the priests to prepare and, despite a large number being ceremonially unclean, Hezekiah prayed that Yahweh would accept them. Yahweh heard and hearkened, and healed the people. So great was the joy of the worshippers that having kept it for seven days; they determined to celebrate it seven days more. Despite some irregularities (departures from the strict letter of the law - verse 18) Hezekiah and the people did the best thing possible under the circumstances. Brother George Booker in his book "Biblical Fellowship" on pages 86-89 wrote "This kind of tension between two conflicting laws of God's appointing, both of which apply, is not uncommon" We ".. must learn to make the best of imperfect situations." On The Patrick Madrid Show, Jacqueline from Long Beach calls in with a question: Is it okay for Catholics to celebrate Halloween? Patrick explains that Halloween actually began as “All Hallows’ Eve,” the vigil before All Saints' Day, a time meant to honor the saints in heaven and pray for the faithful departed. While the modern version has become more secular – and sometimes includes dark or occult themes – its origins are deeply Catholic. Patrick shares that in his own family, they’ve always enjoyed Halloween, but in a way that keeps faith front and center. His wife, Nancy, made saint costumes for their 11 kids – like St. Michael the Archangel, St. Thérèse of Ávila, and even the Pope – so that their trick-or-treating became a lighthearted witness to Christ. Neighbors were often surprised and delighted when they met “little saints” at their doors, sparking small but meaningful conversations about faith. He reminds you that there’s nothing sinful about dressing up or collecting candy, as long as families avoid celebrating evil and instead use the day to point to God’s goodness and the communion of saints. Still, while Patrick may disagree, he respects parents who choose to skip Halloween out of devotion or caution. His advice: pray, follow your conscience, and make decisions that keep Christ at the heart of your home.

Let's begin the… 13:47 - QUEST & CHORUS of SKELLIG MICHAEL Eight miles off the coast of County Kerry is the island of Skellig Michael. It is a jagged twin-peaked island. Its name comes from the Irish Sceilg Mhichíl which means Michael's Rock. It was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The island's history began in the sixth century. Monks sought isolation and closeness to God. So they settled there because the early Irish monastic tradition valued hardship, solitude, and spiritual testing. The monks carved out a small community on narrow terraces more than 600 steps above sea level. The monastic settlement they built still survives. They built a cluster of beehive stone huts, stone crosses and terraces connected by narrow paths. Everything was dry-stone construction. That means they were fitted together without mortar. They were built so well that they have lasted over a millennium. The monks grew small gardens, caught seabirds and fish, and collected rainwater in cisterns. They survived off of what the island would allow. Skellig Michael was a center of devotion to Saint Michael the Archangel sometime after the 8th century. The island was also a pilgrimage site for centuries. Climbing its steps was seen as a form of penance and spiritual renewal. By the 13th century, life on Skellig Michael had become too difficult. Storms, isolation, and changing Church patterns led the monks to relocate to the mainland, near Ballinskelligs. But the island remained a place of pilgrimage well into the modern era. Skellig Michael is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is recognized for its exceptional preservation of early Christian monastic life and its haunting natural beauty. It's also become familiar to a new generation as Ahch-To, the oceanic world where Luke Skywalker lived in exile in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Even now, Skellig Michael stands as a symbol of endurance, of faith carved into stone, of solitude turned to sanctuary, and of the fragile bridge between human devotion and the raw power of nature. LEGENDS OF SKELLIG MICHAEL One of the more famous legends involves the Tuatha Dé Danann and the Milesian invasion of Ireland. It is recounted in the Lebor Gabála Érenn (the Book of Invasions). According to this myth: As the Milesians sailed toward Ireland around 1400 BC in the mythic narrative, a storm was caused by the Tuatha Dé Danann. They are one of the faerie-like supernatural race in Irish mythology. Skellig's cliffs are sometimes mentioned as one of the treacherous places where ships were driven ashore. One version says Irr, a son of Míl Espáine (the mythic ancestor of the Gaels), was travelling from the Iberian Peninsula. He drowned and was buried on Skellig. It seems unequal somehow. Can someone help me understand what's going on here?(7:30 into episode) 2. Hi, I've been struggling in my walk as a Christian recently, especially after seeing so many believers mourning the loss of Charlie Kirk and calling others “bad Christians” if they aren't doing the same. I believe that any loss of life to violence is tragic, but I'm wrestling with how to reconcile people saying he embodied Jesus when some of his public statements seemed so contrary to Christ's teachings of love, humility, and grace. For example, he made remarks about race, women, and the LGBTQ community that felt judgmental and divisive. (ex. If I see a black pilot, im going to be like boy, I hope he's qualified) I want to approach this with compassion, but I feel torn and confused about how to respond when fellow Christians insist he was a model of faith. How can I navigate these conversations in a Christlike way, while also holding onto the truth of what Jesus actually taught?(29:39 into episode) 3. A question/AER on Jehovah Witness: Not sure if this is AER or a question. Maybe both? Might be a long one! In church this morning (September 28), Pastor Kyle continued preaching on the current sermon series in 1 Corinthians. We also corporately read the Nicene Creed. Both of which come up in conversation when I got home...As soon as I got home, a nervous young man with a handful of brochures approached my door and knocked. a few steps behind him, a grey-haired unflappable statue of a man stood looming with a bright smile painted on his face. "Doesn't world peace sound nice?" The young man asked. "It sure does!" I respond." I can't wait until Jesus, my Lord, my God, comes back to make all things right. Until then, I gladly partner with Jesus in the work he started as I live in the 'now and not yet' of his kingdom." Silence. The young man looks startled. The older man stepped forward. I continue... "I am a Christian. I know you are Jehovah witness. We can likely agree on a few select things, but our doctrinal differences and basic theological understandings are vastly different." The older man gets defensive. The young man looks awkward and keeps staring at me like i have three heads (Jehovah witness Trinity pun not intended). Okay... Almost to the question(s). Many Christians, (my family members included), shy away from answering that dreaded knock. They would rather hide behind the kitchen island or living room couch than talk to a Jehovah Witness. Why do you feel this is? Should Christians answer the door? I feel as though many Christians feel unprepared in their faith to answer or refute the kind of JW rhetoric that they will encounter. How does one prepare for their line of questioning or scriptural analysis?Some points along with scripture they used (They used the NWT translation, of course). How would you go about countering their "theology?"Only the New World Translation (NWT) is validClaim: Other Bibles are corrupted by Trinitarian bias.Claim: The NWT restores the true meaning.Trinity1. Only the Father is Almighty God (no Trinity)Deuteronomy 6:4 – “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”John 17:3 – Jesus calls the Father “the only true God.”6. The Trinity has pagan rootsClaim: Pagan religions had triads of gods (Egypt: Osiris, Isis, Horus; Hinduism: Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva).4.
