The Dawgman interns - Jack McCauley and Luke Mounger - are back to dissect Washington's weekend opponent, and this week it's the USC Trojans. After their loss at Indiana, the Huskies are back to the drawing board to try and figure out a way to get past their current losing streak. And usually when the USC Trojans come into town, that would a recipe for another loss. But these aren't your mother's Trojans. Under Lincoln Riley, they've been downright average the last season-and-a-half. Both Jack and Luke break down the game in general and offer their thoughts on what UW can try and do on both sides of the ball to help slow the Trojans down. How big will Jonah Coleman be in this game, especially after everyone saw Dillon Johnson run wild at USC last season and their run defense hasn't really improved all that much considering opposing offenses are also throwing the ball pretty well against the Trojans. And can UW slow USC down to give the offense enough chances to score touchdowns instead of field goals? USC is currently 16th in the country when it comes to passing offense, and they'll be going up against statistically the best pass defense in the country. Can Washington continue to show they do have one of the best pass defenses in the country, especially when you start to list all the weapons USC quarterback Miller Moss has to throw to? After a quick break, the guys offer up their Bets to Bark - the UW players they expect will impact the game the most - as well as their Betting B1G segment. And then to wrap up the game preview, Jack and Luke offer up their Confidence Intervals. It's how strongly they believe in a UW win. Needless to say, this week's confidence intervals aren't quite at the same level as they have been most of the year, but they do feel a little bit more confident about a home win compared to the last two weeks when the games were away from the friendly confines of Husky Stadium. The guys then quickly give a nod to the UW Men's Basketball team, whose season starts this coming Tuesday against UC Davis. The Dawgman interns - Jack McCauley and Luke Mounger - are back to dissect Washington's weekend opponent, and this week it's the Indiana Hoosiers. But before they take a deep dive into everything IU Football, they also provide a quick update into their College Football '25 dynasty mode endeavors. After a bye week, UW goes back on the road to square off against the No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers, but the Hoosiers will be without starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke. How do the guys see Rourke's absence affect the game? What can UW do to try and slow down backup QB Tayven Jackson? The bye week also had to have helped get some Huskies back for this game, including EDGE Zach Durfee. Both Jack and Luke break down the game in general and offer their thoughts on what UW can try and do on both sides of the ball to help slow the Hoosiers down. It was 2012: the word “hipster” was everywhere, Fun was on the radio, and Girls was playing on HBO. And one controversial writer/director/actor, Lena Dunham, started dating the bespectacled musician/producer, Jack Antonoff. Based on Lena's personal essays and Jack's song lyrics, the couple appeared very in love. Both Jack and Lena talked about marrying someday, but refused to exchange rings until marriage became legal for all in the U.S. So on June 25th, 2015, when same-sex marriage became legalized in all 50 states, why didn't Jack and Lena head down the aisle? Join us as we revisit Jack and Lena's story, featuring the mystery of their dog Lamby, a questionable friendship with singer Lorde, and a series of unfortunate tweets. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/significantlovers/support

Episode two guest is Wolfgang Meurs. The is no better words to describe this episode than those from Rudyard Kipling 'The Strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack'. Wolfie, as he is known to those who know him, is from Cape Town, South Africa. He's been living in London for 12 years. Always a big fan of sports, he enjoys most days outside either at a music festival or having a braai or as it's called in the UK a barbeque. Hear how having an engineering background (studied in Cape Town), led to his hands on roles across the events sector. A love for seeing an event site grow from either an empty ballroom in a hotel or an open field. His role and experience in crewing has enabled a lot of learning and skill development, such as dealing with high pressure situations, time keeping, dealing with difficult clients and just general people skills. At the time of this recording Wolfie is working on a 9 month project out in Doha, Qatar, called Winter Wonderland. It's a semi-permanent theme park they have built in 8 months based on the manmade island of Lusail. Listen throughout the episode as Wolfie shares some of he experiences, some of the situations he has faced as well as some of the learning that has been passed on to him over the years. Both Jack, Karen and Wolfie were all on location in differing countries, in different time zones whilst recording, and some of the audio is effected by noise and connection issues, but this doesn't stop listeners from engaging with the content shared. Most of us know how important the role crew provide on projects, but have you ever understood the potential of that role and the actual people who deliver it. This episode certainly gives you a flavour of that. Robert Deininger and Jack Degraw discuss Gerrit Cole and the Yankees starting rotation (is their SP their biggest weakness?) which includes Luis Severino, Jordan Montgomery, and James Taillon. They also touch on some of the new faces in Pinstripes, most notably Josh Donaldson. Gone are CA Gary Sanchez, 1B Luke Voit, 3B Gio Urshella, INF/OF Tyler Wade, and OF Clint Frazier. Both Jack and myself speculate whether or not Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar will finish the season with the Yankees (could be part of a package for another SP).Finally, they talk about the documentary on Don Mattingly called "Donnie Baseball" that aired on the MLB Network.A Comfortably Zoned Radio Network, production. It took until episode 23 before we got someone with an album to promote. For this episode, we are joined by Jack and Valerie. Jack and Mason are coworkers and can joke around about basically anything at work. Valerie is Jack's girlfriend and is the star of this episode. For those looking to check out Jack's band, they are called "Oh Geeez" and their music is available pretty much anywhere you can get music from.

The Dawgman.com interns - Jack McCauley and Intern Emeritus Luke Mounger - break down what they've seen from the Stanford Cardinal so far this season and how they match up against the Washington Huskies going into Saturday night's game at Stanford Stadium. Jack goes first and breaks down the Stanford offense, starting with quarterback Tanner McKee. He then moves to the Cardinal receivers and tight ends, who are some of the tallest as a complete group the Huskies will face all season long. The Cardinal still pride themselves on being big and burly in the trenches, but the run game has been suspect. Both Jack and Luke take a stab at why Stanford hasn't been as strong in this area of the offense, and also talk about a way Stanford could still make some hay with their tailbacks. And how could UW hurt the Cardinal? They give their thoughts on that as well. Moving to the defensive side of the ball, Luke throws out some numbers to think about, as well as the names to watch when looking at the Cardinal and who may give Washington some trouble. Dayln Wade-Perry, Thomas Booker, and Ryan Johnson are the big bodies up front. Levani Damuni is a linebacker to watch, and Kendall Williamson and Kyu Blu Kelly are the defensive backs to know. To finish up the podcast, Jack and Luke talk about the areas where they think UW could do some damage against Stanford's defense, and also give their confidence levels when picking a UW win. Hello friends! Today is a HEAVY episode, but it's important to talk about. Jack and Sami are discussing the 1999 massacre that happened at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Though there is some background on the two shooters, we made it a point to focus on the events that unfolded that day through the perspectives of the 13 that were killed and over 20 that were injured. Both Jack and Sami give backgrounds of the victims and how their deaths will not be overshadowed by the story of two heartless boys. Bring on the tissues for this episode, it's a sad one.
On this episode I chatted with twin brothers Jack & Jay Evans. This podcast is a story of encouragement for anyone who is building their business or thinking of starting a business. A story of hard work and determination. From extremely humble beginnings growing up in Enid Oklahoma, to owning two of OKC Metros most successful home building businesses. Both Jack and Jay took different paths to real estate but they took the risk and gave up steady jobs to chase their dreams. This is why is started this podcast, to share these untold and unknown stories to the public. If you search their respective business websites you'd never know the founding stories. But thankfully Jack and Jay have shared their story to offer others a word of encouragement and mentorship. www.twostructureshomes.comwww.timbercraft.co#thisisoklahoma

On this episode I am joined by the creator of Fan Friction on the TUFF Channel on Youtube and godfather to the DVD Bunker, Jack Shipley. If you're a regular listener and you heard our heavily convoluted list of Top 10 Comic Book Movies you will know today's movie made the cut, the 1994 classic The Crow. Both Jack and I were the perfect age to fall in love with this movie when it came out, but now as adults we go back to see if it is truly any good or just the right blend of extreme 90s to make teenagers say "FUCK YEAH!" Remembered mostly for the tragic death of its star, is The Crow ahead of its time as a CBM or just riding the dark and grim coattails of Batman 89? On This Episode You Will Hear: [spp-timestamp time="03:00"] Connecting on life and living in Arizona, sharing our joint experiences. [spp-timestamp time="04:50"] Jack and his wife met in 2004, he was working in a large Cardiology practice. His wife is a doctor of chiropractic and causation who opened up his eyes to other worlds of health. This led to him leaving the big medical group in 2012 for a bigger purpose, launching The Drs Wolfson and eventually him writing The Paleo Cardiologist book. [spp-timestamp time="05:35"] Standing Desks. [spp-timestamp time="06:10"] MD's relating to DC's. Mentioning how Vinnie Tortorich isn't a supporter of Doctor's of Chiropractic. Jack helps us clarify what "real doctors" can truly do in different situations. [spp-timestamp time="08:20"] Scott finds his trust of chiropractic care in 2008 training for the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC. [spp-timestamp time="11:15"] The average MD, a medical doctor is not taught anything about nutrition. [spp-timestamp time="12:50"] Taking issue with the 300 MD's and Ph.D.'s that wrote the references he includes at the end of his book, The Paleo Cardiologist. [spp-timestamp time="15:45"] We're talking about who lives the best, who lives the longest, who has the lowest risk of heart attack and stroke. [spp-timestamp time="19:20"] Referencing the NSNG lifestyle, Vinnie Tortorich and how he's surviving Leukemia Cancer by reducing sugar consumption. [spp-timestamp time="20:00"] Whatever the diet book, everyone is going to be anti-sugar these days. It's hard to get people off the sugar, all we can do is give them the information. What people do with the information is their choice. They're not hearing the truth in the typical medical establishment. Doctors are not spending the time to speak to people, they're not educated to speak to people, they're kind of down on the whole process of nutrition. [spp-timestamp time="23:10"] Sharing our mutual love of mountain biking. Even as a Cardiologist, all he can do is call 911 in the case of an emergency. [spp-timestamp time="25:00"] Get out of the gym, get outside, hike, bike, do squats with your bodyweight, lunges, pushups, etc. [spp-timestamp time="26:00"] Trail running, thin soled shoes, we both read the Born to Run book. [spp-timestamp time="27:45"] Jack doesn't wear shoes in his office and sells healthy duck fat. [spp-timestamp time="28:08"] He first learned about Leaky Gut in 2005 and never heard of it during his 10 years in school. [spp-timestamp time="29:00"] Test kits for leaky gut and more for using the Wheat Zoomer. Also chatting on Wheat Belly and the Grain Brain books. [spp-timestamp time="32:45"] Are sprouted ancient grains healthier than wonder bread. Don't guess, get tested. [spp-timestamp time="33:50"] The human body is an amazing and powerful machine. [spp-timestamp time="34:07"] Referencing Dr. Jack Kruse and mitochondrial health. Both Jack's actually spoke together at an event in June 2016 in Vermont. [spp-timestamp time="36:00"] Jack Kruse brings heavy science to the Paleo lifestyle. Dr. Jack Wolfson tests people's cellular levels of Omega 3', Vegans are extremely deficient in Omega 3's. Clearly, this is linked to all disease as well. [spp-timestamp time="37:20"] Follow the wisdom of our ancestors. [spp-timestamp time="37:37"] Mentioning Dr. Joe Dispenza and my recent event attendance learning about the quantum law. [spp-timestamp time="38:00"] The Quantlet device from Dr. Jack Kruse. [spp-timestamp time="40:00"] Our bodies natural response to problems is inflammation. We need to put the fire out by finding what the caused the fire. It's all about causation....
The potboiler Gothics of V.C. Andrews were beloved by adult women... and their tween daughters. Both Jack and Kate are new to the author's infamous tales of female woe, and they discuss what it's like to read her work for the first time during this discussion of Andrews' 1982 novel My Sweet Audrina. This claustrophobic tale of a girl raised with family secrets in the shadow of her dead sister proves to be a surprisingly traumatic experience for Kate who is forced to confront some of her darkest fears, including the horrors of inheriting someone else's kids. Here to read an especially sensational passage from the book is Wendy Mays, hostess of Pet Cinematary, the podcast dedicated to taking a deeper look at the role of animals in film. This is her first time reading the work of V.C. Andrews as well, and it turned out to be a much more difficult task than your hosts imagined to find a woman unfamiliar with these macabre little novels. How does the domestic nightmare world of My Sweet Audrina effect your hosts? Did V.C. Andrews' life experiences add to the intensity of her stories? What were your hosts reading as tweens? Why did tween girls love these depressing forays into mental illness and isolation so much? Find out all this and more on this episode of Bad Books for Bad People. Jack Spirko of the Survival Podcast stops by to educate Ol' Two Beers on Modern Survivalism. We also talk about Jacks background, the beginnings of his podcast, and where the future may very well lead us. Both Jack and I spend alot of time talking on this podcast about many of the shortcomings of our modern society and how our ability to handle crisis is limited. Jack also details the differences of our grandparents ability to handle the Great Depression differs from our current generation, and how this particular financial bomb will have more of an impact on our society... But the episode is not all Fear and Loathing in 2010... the episode is actually uplifting and optimistic. Jack speaks as though he's come from the future and he is here to spread the good news... that we all live in the end, and we manage to lean on our brothers in hard times and we get through this.
